We’re nearing the end of the premiere season of Bravo’s latest hit series, The Valley: Persian Style. So far it’s been a non-stop rollercoaster of catty friendship fights and romantic relationships on the rocks. Branded as the reboot of Shahs of Sunset, it had some big shoes to fill, and this cast has delivered.
What Happened on The Valley: Persian Style Episode 8?

In last week’s episode, RJ pulled out all the stops to get Tanin and Sky back together. With a dramatic ambush meeting, the girls were forced to finally speak with each other. Does this mean their friendship is on the road to recovery? Here’s everything that happened on The Valley: Persian Style Episode 8, “Golnesa in the Sky with (Lab) Diamonds”.
It’s time for everyone to be open and honest

For the past few weeks Sky has been branded as the villain of the series. But, for the first time ever, viewers got to see a different side of her.
In this episode, Sky Facetimes her sister Sepideh and immediately gets emotional when they start talking about their father. He struggles with Alzheimer’s disease and recently had a heart attack. Sky is especially emotional because he and the rest of her family are still in Iran, whilst she’s across the world in California.
Sky is hurt that she doesn’t have Tanin’s shoulder to cry on, but she insists that she can handle her emotions herself. The rest of the group doesn’t know about this vulnerable, empathetic side to Sky. Maybe if she were to open up more, they wouldn’t be quick to paint her as rude and stuck-up.
While she’s planning her next trip to Iran, Amir and Natasha discuss their future plans. He reveals that he met with a doctor for a preliminary visit for a vasectomy. Natasha wants him to get one and he wants to make her happy, but is hesitant because of his late-wife Lauren. They tried to have children and couldn’t get pregnant. And even though he now has three kids with Natasha, it doesn’t feel right to him to shut down the opportunity to have more after a past of infidelity.
To offset the pressure on him, he wants Natasha to get her tubes tied, which she immediately shuts down. Ultimately, they shelf the conversation for another day, but Natasha is terrified about accidentally having another baby soon.
Tommy’s blunder makes MJ assess their relationship

GG, Tanin, and Mercedeh go out for the ultimate girls event: Botox. During this, MJ reveals that Sky RSVP’d for her upcoming real estate event. Despite the house being in the valley, the area she ironically hates, who knows? She may be interested and if so, MJ wants to secure that deal.
Speaking of the valley, GG is starting a new business. She’s doing a lab-grown diamond line with guess who? Dennis. And as shade to Sky’s comments, she’s calling it Valley Girl Diamonds. Oh the messiness is top-tier.
MJ’s botox session gets interrupted by her son Sham’s school. Apparently, Tommy missed pick off time and they called her to see what’s going on. This deeply frustrated MJ, who is annoyed at his lack of consistency. She starts calling Tommy, with no answer. Ultimately, he answers and picks Sham up, 30-minutes later.
She is usually the one who handles drop off and pick up, but with her busy schedule she trusted Tommy to handle it. And with him dropping the ball, she doesn’t feel like she can rely on his help.
The day comes for MJ’s open house and Leila is helping her get ready. Tommy comes, but just to drop off the ice and leave. Adam and Reza come out to help, but Tommy doesn’t speak with Reza at all. MJ tries to get him to stay, but he insists on quickly leaving, making MJ upset. After all, he and Reza were supposedly making progress in patching things up. Maybe that ship has sailed.
Sky is not beating the villain label anytime soon

The event behinds and the entire gang arrives, even Dennis the menace himself. Sky and Bamshad also show up, and Reza decides to talk to Sky. He tries to clear the air about the Palm Springs meltdown, and Sky isn’t up for it. Without excusing herself, she turns and walks away while he’s talking. This just really isn’t Reza’s day for reunions.
GG thinks this is the perfect time to give out her samples of her petty diamond line. She and Dennis hand them out to the girls, and give Sky’s out last. She automatically hands the bag over to Bamshad, refusing to even look at the necklace inside. But, she does make sure to call GG “pathetic” for making a rival jewelry brand.
Mauricio Umansky arrives at the open house and he’s quick to give some tough love. He compares her staging of the home to a hospital. Yikes. But, he is impressed when MJ says that she went door to door to promote herself. Overall, her superstar boss thinks she did a good job.
Deciding to be the bigger person in their fight, Tanin approaches Sky. They have a brief hug and two-second conversation before Sky says she has to leave.
Tanin reflects on their 5-year friendship in a confessional and she thinks that she put Sky up on a pedestal. She wants nothing to do with her anymore, and similarly, Sky says that she doesn’t even miss Tanin. Welp, it seems like this friendship has hit its end.
The Valley: Persian Style airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream on Peacock the next day.
