It was a tense premiere full of “hattitude” for Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 1! The ladies are back, and there’s major drama afoot with Karen’s recent DUI. This week the group tries to put the pieces of the puzzle together regarding Karen’s accident. However, she is remaining mum on the situation. Gizelle also has a hattitude party for Karen’s birthday, but that goes left when Mia’s personal relationships get put in the spotlight. Here’s everything you need to know about RHOP Season 9, Episode 1: “A Crash Course in Deflection.”

The Grande Dame sure knows how to make a dramatic entrance. Season 9 kicked off with a reenactment of the night of Karen’s DUI. A series of charges against Karen flashed across the screen: DUI, DWI, the list went on and on. Needless to say, the cast was shook. Ashely was concerned this was a repeated offense, and Mia observed you can be a danger to yourself but not to others. Gizelle surmised this was not the Karen that she knew.

A month later, Gizelle picked up Karen for lunch. The two looked fab twinning in their denim bustier tops. After they ordered two “Karen specials,” consisting of french toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon, they got down to it. Unfortunately, Gizelle didn’t get the answers she was looking for. Karen couldn’t say much because her case had not been adjudicated yet. But she did share that the loss of her parents and marriage issues had affected her state of mind that night. So they moved on to Gizelle setting up a birthday lunch for Karen. She was going to need all the carbs she could get for the questions to come.

Mia and Gordon were in a much better place than when we saw them last. Flashback to Mia accusing Gordon of locking her in a room, and Gordon revealing he knew she had an affair. Eesh. Now the two are living in the same building. Mia didn’t like she couldn’t have her “sneaky links” with Inc, but the setup was best for the kids. She then asked for a paternity test to verify Gordon is Jeremiah’s father. Inc was questioning it because Mia had an affair with him shortly after her IUI. Gordon told her to tell Inc to drop it. That’s probably not going to happen.

Wendy officially resigns from her role as professor

There were some big life changes happening for Ashley and Wendy. After two years, Ashley was finally ready to move on with the divorce process. And she was hopeful that Michael would be reasonable regarding custody of their kids. Wendy was ready to move on from her role as a professor, so she sent in her resignation letter. She wanted to spend more time with the fam and find something more fulfilling. As Eddie hugged her congratulations, the fear of having to tell her mom next lingered over any excitement she had with sending that email.

Karen met up with newbie RHOP star Stacey Rusch at their friend Vivien Agbakoba’s boutique. They needed dresses for Gizelle’s hattitude party. We learned that Stacey recently moved back to Potomac after quitting her job at QVC. She also has a daughter and is going through a divorce. It’s been rough, but Stacey was level-headed and said it was the right thing to do.

After a classic montage of trying on dresses, the three celebrated with some bubbly. Vivien and Stacey were concerned about drinking champs in front of Karen. However, Karen reassured them she was only drinking water because of her medication. She would be having drinks with them later. The ladies all cheered to that, but it was awkward at best.

Jacqueline spills some serious tea before Karen arrives at the hattitude party

Gizelle had a lovely hattitude party set up for Karen’s birthday lunch. Custom-made hats were designed and named for each lady. She explained hattitude was all about love, style, and grace. Then she added she “needs for these ladies to act like they have some.” And if they didn’t, a taco, banana, or construction hat awaited their fate. Ashley arrived first and tried to get the lowdown of Gizelle’s conversation with Karen. But Gizelle told her Karen had shut her down and told her to read the paper. Maybe Ashley could get answers from Karen later.

Wendy arrived and was ready to have a conversation with Gizelle about their relationship. Gizelle claimed to be all about peace these days. And she too hoped to mend things with Wendy and move on. Mia came with her new bestie, Jassi Rideaux. Jassi is a flight attendant who recently settled down in Potomac with Kansas City Chiefs NFL player Darius Harris. Wendy let out her inner Swiftie and wanted to get all the Taylor Swift goss immediately.

Mia’s frenemy Jacqueline was also there. She spilled the tea that she had recently talked with Karen, who sounded tipsy on the phone. Jacqueline didn’t have proof, but everyone’s eye brows raised two notches. Finally, the birthday girl arrived in a bedazzled cowboy hat. Let the showdown begin.

Karen wasn’t too happy when she saw there was a non-alcoholic drink called “The Grande Dame” on the menu. But she moved on once Gizelle gave her the “Hollywood” hat. Karen then opened the floor for questions like it was a press conference. She announced she wanted to know who her true friends were and didn’t want any “fake bitches” around her. She got crickets.

Gizelle then handed Ashley the “Cowgirl.” Ashley announced everyone was invited to her and Gizelle’s upcoming GnA fusion event. Wendy joked that they didn’t even have any apparel on their website, so how could they fuse anything? Mia was given “The King” for playing two guys. Of course Gizelle had to be shady and asked Mia if she had shared Inc with Jacqueline yet. Stacey was taken aback; she was not used to a “no boundaries” policy with questions. Welcome to the Real Housewives!

Things were lighthearted at first when Mia joked she and Inc had done Gordon’s laundry. But Karen and Gizelle took it to the next level when they brought up Gordon mentioning their kids had seen mom in bed with Inc. They didn’t think Mia was protecting her kids by seeing both men. Mia was shocked, and Wendy jumped in and said that was too far. Mia shouted her kids were thriving and it was wrong for them to bring this up. She then ran off upset, with Jassi and Jacqueline trailing behind her. We are so back.

Real Housewives of Potomac continues Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Here’s Why Sister Wives Kody Brown Saying He Wants to Befriend Meri Brown Is Rude

Kody Brown now wants to befriend Meri.

For years, Kody Brown of Sister Wives has made it crystal clear that he no longer wants Meri Brown in his life. Even though she tried to wiggle her way back into his good graces, Kody often treated Meri quite poorly. Viewers watched as Kody often left Meri out of family functions. This made her feel extremely uncomfortable whenever she came for a visit. So it was a surprise when Kody claimed he wanted to befriend Meri.

Kody Brown doesn’t want another enemy

Meri was Kody’s first legal wife. The duo tied the knot in 1990 and were together for over 30 years. However, Kody lost trust in his wife after a catfishing incident, and the two grew apart. In the most recent Sister Wives episode, Kody shocked viewers by stating that he was trying his best to mend fences. In fact, Kody was hoping to move on in life as friends. But Meri has left Flagstaff and now lives in Utah, where she runs her own business. Kody shared that the last thing he needs right now is another enemy. The father of 18 noted he and Christine Brown and Janelle Brown just don’t get along.

In his confessional, Kody clarified that he had zero romantic feelings for Meri. Kody added, “She is upset that I’ve dragged this out for so long. I don’t blame her. I don’t want Meri to be in this place where she’s taking this toll, this direction that both Christine and Janelle have taken. Oh, yeah, ‘I need one more enemy right now.’” Kody went on to say, “I think if I were single and Meri was single, would I date her? No, I wouldn’t.” Kody’s words felt hollow as he tried to convince viewers he once profoundly cared.

Kody Brown can’t accept that his family has drifted apart

Kody, acting as if he wants to stay friends with Meri, is out of left field. For years, he has done his best to ignore Meri’s wants and make her feel unloved. So now claiming that he wants to be friends sounds selfish. The patriarch wants to stay on good terms to make himself feel better. He isn’t worried about how Meri feels which has been the crux of the problem for the last ten years.

During another confessional, Kody noted, “That’s why I’m trying to be in this place with Meri where it’s like, ‘Hey, can we just be friends and move on?’” Kody’s intentions feel as if he wants to sweep all the bad things he has ever done under the rug. It is annoying to observe since Kody has a way of failing to take accountability. Why would Meri want to continue to be friends with her ex when he did nothing to show that he could be a good friend?

Kody Brown is on bad terms with almost everyone

During Episode 3, the Browns attended a family event. Even though the cameras weren’t allowed to film, it was easy to figure out that the event was the oldest son Logan Brown’s wedding. Kody noted that the entire experience was “awkward” as all his wives kept their distance. Kody once again acted as if he was the only one hurting, noting, “Overall, the whole wedding was just sad for me. We used to go places as a family, and now, those who were my partners are almost like enemies. It’s awkward. I don’t know what the solution is.”

After expressing hope that he and Meri could be friends, Kody reminisced over his relationship with Christine, saying, “For Christine and I, I think that if we would have just broken up as friends, it would have been better for the whole family. Like, make it so we can get back together another time instead of polarizing everybody.” However, Christine has been less than nice to Kody since she left the polygamous family. The mother of six doesn’t want to be friends with her ex and doesn’t think Meri should be friends with Kody either. It is obvious that Kody is having issues understanding why he won’t be reconciling, but the man only has himself to blame.

How Loren Allen Has Already Surpassed Ed Brown as the Ultimate 90 Day Fiancé Villain

Loren Allen beats Big Ed Brown in the villain game.

The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has seen plenty of villains over the years. One of these notorious cast members is Ed Brown, who has appeared in several different spin-offs. Ed’s journey began on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, when he flew to the Philippines to meet his ex Rose Vega. After their relationship went south, Ed began dating and later got engaged to Liz Woods. About a dozen break-ups later, Ed canceled his wedding to Liz which concluded their relationship for good as well.

Ed was considered the ultimate 90 Day Fiancé villain for some time but that may have finally changed. Like Ed once did, Loren Allen recently traveled to the Philippines for love on Before The 90 Days Season 7. Loren finally met his girlfriend Faith Gatoc Tulod in person but he was hiding a lot from her. Unfortunately for Faith, Loren’s secrets were a lot worse than she ever expected. In only a few episodes, Loren has already managed to surpass Ed as the worst 90 Day Fiancé villain yet.

Loren Allen lied to Faith about his plans to move to The Philippines

Loren has been dishonest with Faith from the beginning. The entire premise of Before The 90 Days involves the American cast member traveling overseas to meet their international partner for the first time. Faith expected Loren to only stay in The Philippines for a few weeks and honestly so did we.

It was a shock when Loren admitted that he hoped to stay in The Philippines permanently after meeting Faith. Before even getting on the plane, Loren explained that he didn’t really have plans of coming back to the US. Loren wasn’t making great money in America, so he felt that it would make more sense to live with Faith in The Philippines. While he was more than happy to share this with producers, he didn’t convey it to Faith.

Loren finally came clean to Faith during dinner with her family. When asked what his plan was for him and Faith, Loren revealed that he saw himself staying in The Philippines. Loren then added that he was technically homeless in America and only stayed in other people’s homes. Faith was surprised to hear this, as she was under the impression that she would be moving to the US to be with Loren. It was wrong of Loren to hide such a big secret from Faith and to assume that she would have no problem with him moving to The Philippines.

Loren cheated on Faith, which resulted in him contracting an STD

Loren’s next mistake was much worse than withholding his plans to move to The Philippines. Before he embarked on his trip, Loren discussed his dreams of having an open relationship. It was evident that this wasn’t something Faith was ok with and that he didn’t even really discuss it with her. To make matters worse, Loren was already acting as if he was in an official open relationship. Shortly before leaving for The Philippines, Loren had been sleeping with other people.

A few days after arriving, Loren and Faith went on a romantic getaway to a waterfall. Everything was going great until Loren decided to drop another big bomb on her. Right before the excursion, Loren found out that he had gonorrhea which he received from sleeping with another woman. This took place while he and Faith were dating online, so Faith was understandably angry to learn what was going on. Faith told Loren that she felt betrayed as he had cheated on her, while he tried to act like he hadn’t done anything wrong.

Loren hasn’t taken accountability for any of his mistakes, which makes him come off as even more of a villain. In just a few days, Faith found out that Loren planned to move to her country permanently after cheating on her which caused him to contract an STD. Loren didn’t see a problem with any of this but Faith and viewers certainly do.

Ed Brown was bad but nowhere near as bad as Loren

Like Loren, Ed was considered one of the biggest 90 Day Fiancé villains of his time. Viewers began to dislike Ed when they saw how he treated Rose on Before The 90 Days Season 4. Ed embarrassed Rose on numerous occasions by telling her that she had bad breath and that he wanted her to shave her legs. Later on, during his relationship with Liz, fans felt that Ed wasn’t respectful toward her either. Ed made controversial moves like breaking up with Liz out of nowhere and ultimately canceling their wedding behind her back.

There’s no doubt that Ed had bad moments but they weren’t as bad as Loren’s. For starters, Ed was always upfront with his partners about how he was feeling. While he said controversial things at times, he never blindsided anyone the way Loren did to Faith. Furthermore, Ed never cheated on any of his partners. Cheating is one of the worst things you can do in a relationship and Loren crossed a line with that.

To put it frankly, Ed wasn’t a great partner but Loren is a pretty terrible one. Ed did take accountability at times and even went to therapy to work on himself. Loren, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have any remorse for his actions at all. Neither men are 90 Day Fiancé favorites but Ed is certainly miles above Loren.
