Below Deck Mediterranean Star Captain Sandy Yawn Says She Was “Taken Out Of Context” When She Claimed Malia White Is “Secretly Gay”

As if Below Deck Mediterranean viewers needed another reason to be bothered by Captain Sandy Yawn, she decided to claim that Malia White is “secretly gay” during a Cameo video. Of course, whoever received that video re-posted it and it went viral.

Malia has responded to the video, denying Captain Sandy’s claims. She said that she would be out and proud if that were the case.

Captain Sandy wrote one of the least compassionate apologies ever in one of her Instagram Stories. She said, “I was wrong for making that comment. That clip was taken out of context. It was sliced to make it into something it was not. My apologies to Malia!”

I’m sorry, but in what context is saying that someone is “secretly gay” and claiming that other people think it as well something acceptable to say? Explain that one to me, Sandy.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Captain Sandy should be compassionate to anyone else who is (or may be) a part of that group. Outing someone is never OK, especially not in a public forum. Captain Sandy should have known better, and you know what, she should have given a way better apology than that.

Hopefully, she also reached out to her personally with a more heartfelt apology. But, then, again, I’m not holding my breath for that one, especially after watching that video of her “joking” about Malia’s sexuality and then hysterically laughing at her own remarks. It would be shocking if she was actually “sorry” about that.

Lisa Vanderpump Says “Boring” Is Nicest Way To Describe Teddi Mellencamp

Currently, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans are celebrating the news that Teddi Mellencamp got fired from the show. It’s assumed that Teddi didn’t see it coming, since she’s been doing Q&A sessions on her Instagram Stories about her next season of the show. Lol, those didn’t age well.

Props to Teddi for at least admitting she got fired, unlike some people. She was boring, we never got to see her famous dad, and her business promotes starvation. The writing has been on the wall for a while. And now, Lisa Vanderpump sharing her two cents on Teddi’s departure and the woman didn’t skip a beat. She shaded her former “Teddi Bear” to filth, and I’m not gonna lie, I loved every bit of it.

Lisa dished on Teddi’s exit during a recent episode of her new podcast All Things Vanderpump. LVP began, “Today we have the news that Teddi Mellencamp got the hoof from Housewives. She got the Housewife hoof.” Am I the only one who just had flashbacks to “Maloof hoof” in response to that remark?

Anyway, Lisa said, “I don’t know, people said [it was] because she was boring. I certainly didn’t have a good experience with her. So, ‘boring’ would be one of the nicer things I could say.” Same here, Lisa.

Then, Lisa got into the recent controversy about Teddi’s starvation diet business. Lisa said, “But, also I think there was something up for contention about her business, something about 500 calories a day. I don’t know how anybody could survive on 500 calories a day. I think 500 calories between 2:30 and 4:30 AM when I’m up in the night. So, I don’t think I could get out of bed with 500 calories a day, but I guess whatever works for you, but, apparently, it didn’t for everybody so.”

Next to no one is a Malia White fan if they’re watching the current Below Deck Mediterranean season. Well, now, people are actually coming to Malia’s defense for the first time. This is because Captain Sandy Yawn took it upon herself to claim that Malia is “secretly gay” in a Cameo video.

She also said that Below Deck Mediterranean producers felt the same way. Who does she think it is? It is NEVER OK to out anyone’s sexuality ever. As a gay woman herself, I assumed Captain Sandy would know a thing or two about that, but apparently, that’s not the case. Now, Malia is responding.

Malia shared a video on Instagram where she said, “My personal life seems to be quite the topic at the moment and I am not on Twitter. I don’t do a lot of Instagram Lives, so I thought I would send out a message in my own words. So, first off, Tom [Checketts] and I have split. The details surrounding all of it, I am trying to keep a little private just out of respect to him and I. Umm, but yes I am single.” She also winked at the camera when she said that. Ugh, Malia, just stop.

Also, how is she asking for privacy when she very publicly shaded Tom very recently. Pot, meet kettle.

Malia continued, “Second, Captain Sandy’s Cameo, I was just as shocked as everyone else. I’m not sure why my sexual orientation is being discussed in Cameos. First off, if I was gay, I would just like to say that it should be my decision when and if to ‘out’ it to the entire internet, but no I’m not, and if I was, I would be openly proud to be gay. I’m a huge supporter of the community and, yeah, I’ll just leave it at that.”

Then, she took the time to very vaguely address the backlash against her. Malia said, “Throughout the years, you guys have watched me fall in love, fall out of love. You’ve seen my relationships. You’ve watched my career happen. You’ve been introduced to members of my family. You’ve seen a lot of my personal side. Some of the good, a lot of that bad. You know, I’ve made a ton of mistakes.” Oh, we know, Malia. We know very well.

“I am only human. I don’t think I’ve been as vocal on social media as some people want me to be or expect me to be, and to that, I just want to say I’m really sorry if I have disappointed anyone with my actions or whatever else it may be, but I am learning, from a personal standpoint and a professional, this is all new to me and I can only hope to grow from each and every experience,” Malia said.

The bosun concluded, “So, bear with me, please. I am listening and I appreciate the feedback even if you don’t hear from it.” Oh, really? Then where’s the apology to Hannah Ferrier? When are you going to own up to completely mishandling the situation and mistreating Hannah in response to her mental health struggles!?

FINALLY! Some good news in 2020. Teddi Mellencamp got fired from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. After three seasons of boring us with her dual residence up Kyle Richards‘ ass and in John Mellencamp’s shadow, we are done seeing the self-proclaimed accountability coach on our TV screens.

Finally, the Bravo execs are listening to the fans. Now, we will wait and see if anyone else got the boot from the show. We all know that refresh is needed. She, clearly, thought she was safe, thanks to her pal Kyle. She’s even been answering questions about “next season” in her Instagram Stories. This had to be quite the shock for Teddi. I wish it was filmed, but anyway…

Teddi responded to the speculation by confirming the news herself via Instagram video. She wrote, “You heard it here last. Yes, it’s true, I am not coming back to #RHOBH. Thank you to @bravotv, @evolutionusa, @bravoandy and all of the amazing women for the support (and the shade) for the past three years. Back to the shadows I go.”

In that Instagram video, she said, “I don’t want to ‘bore’ you, but I figured I could give you a little update on what’s going on. I recently found out that my contract as a Housewife is not being renewed.”

Teddi said, “Of course, I could give you the standard response of ‘Oh, we both came to the decision that it would be best.’ I’m not gonna do that. That’s not who I am.” Well, look at her, being “accountable” and all. She won’t win too many points for that, but I do appreciate her being honest for once.

She admitted, “Of course, when I got the news, I was sad. It feels like a breakup almost because you develop such strong relationships with the cast and crew and you get to do incredible things that you would probably never get to experience without, you know, the show.”

John Mellencamp’s daughter concluded, “That being said, I’m really looking forward to the future, being able to focus on my family, my friends, All In. I really feel like I have some exciting things ahead.” 500 calories a day doesn’t sound exciting to me, but OK, Teddi.

Nicole Nafziger Doesn’t Like How She Handled Things On Earlier 90 Day Fiance Seasons

Nicole Nafziger from 90 Day Fiance is one of the more well known cast members at this point. Despite having cornered the market on blandness, the former Starbucks barista always has the fans talking.

Maybe it’s the fact that Nicole and her “fiance”, Azan Tefou don’t exactly seem like a couple in love. Or maybe it’s because of those pesky rumors that he is married and has kids with his cousin. Or better yet, the reports that Nicole abandoned her daughter to go to Morocco in the middle of a pandemic and got stuck there for five months. And didn’t have a single picture to show of Azan while she was there. Wait, maybe all this makes Nicole not so bland after all.

But even Nicole knows that she’s made some mistakes on her 90 Day Fiance journey. She recently decided to address this (for reasons unknown) on her Instagram stories. In Touch Weekly breaks it down for us with the details. Nicole started by saying, “I literally cannot watch myself on past seasons. I am so cringey.” YEP. No argument from me there.

She continued, “Why was I so, ugh! LOL I swear 26 year old me doesn’t like how 22 year old me handled things.” I guess that’s a fair statement. A lot of growth can happen in four years. Then again, is it really growth when you decide to wander off to another country during a global pandemic?

Nicole went on to address that whole growth thing and said, “Believe it or not, but I’m not like that now. I’ve changed a lot in these years. It may have taken some time to learn and grow but I have. And I recognize my mishaps.” She concluded, “Just some late night thoughts from me. Goodnight.”

It’s unclear as to why these late-night thoughts were happening. For all we know, she was hopped up on those dry scoop nutritional supplements she’s always talking about on her social media.

Regardless, it sounds like Nicole is using her time back home in Florida to reflect on her past actions. But will that translate into anything when it comes to her relationship with Azan? Will we ever see the two of them together again? Only time will tell. I have a sneaking suspicion that we haven’t seen the last of Nicole. Maybe TLC will bring us the new and improved version.
