Summer House Is Officially Moving Forward With Season 5

Good news, Good Vibe Tribe! In the immortal words of Kyle Cooke, “Summer should be fun,” and this one is finally looking up.

After the global coronavirus pandemic threw the future of Summer House into question, a new report confirms production has been given the green light for Season 5.

Us Weekly confirmed the gang will be headed back to the Hamptons for a fifth go-around. And while Bravo has yet to confirm Summer House‘s renewal, an unnamed source also dished that the series “is hoping to film additional episodes” after the dynamite fourth season.

Summer House OGs Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard joined Kyle in their Watermill share house for Season 4, alongside his girlfriend-turned-fiancé Amanda Batula, Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner. Newbies Luke Gulbranson and Jules Daoud rounded out the crew. Meanwhile, former Housemates Danielle Olivera and Jordan Verroi were demoted to recurring status. (That means they slept on couches most weekends. That is, until Jordan got evicted from the house for causing drama with Jules.)

However, what exactly a summer in the Hamptons will look like in 2020 is still up in the air. New York has just started gradually opening up after being an epicenter for crisis. Could it make more sense to have the Housemates stay in the Hamptons all summer rather than commute from the city every weekend?

Carl and Lindsay previously opened up to Us Weekly about their enthusiasm for a fifth season, even if it might look “a little different” because of the pandemic. “The prospect of it is incredibly exciting,” Carl said. “I think we’ve got a good crew to do another, but you know, who knows, I mean, this the world that we’re living in right now. Maybe a quarantine house could be cool, but you know, I don’t know. I would love to do it. Because I love the Hamptons.”

“I would be down for sure,” Lindsay added. “I think it would be interesting to see how that would work. You know, I think it would be a little different,” she told Us. “[But] we had a really great season with a lot of authentic and organic drama throughout the entire summer.”

Patti Stanger Calls Kelly Dodd An “Alcoholic” & Wonders If She’s “Mentally Ill” Based On Coronavirus Comments

Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd has faced a lot of backlash for her ignorant comments about the coronavirus. She described coronavirus as “God’s way of thinning the herd.” Kelly and some other Housewives were criticized for hanging out in such close proximity to take selfies during the pandemic. She claimed that “no one is dying from coronavirus in Orange County.” Kelly apologized for posting memes about coronavirus. She even had the nerve to say that “people are going to die anyway.”

As a result, a lot of people are outraged. Some fans even pressured Bravo to fire Kelly from Real Housewives of Orange County. Now, Bravo OG Patti Stanger is chiming in.

Patti recently appeared on the Hot Takes & Deep Dives With Jess Rothschild podcast. She was asked, “Have you been following Kelly Dodd [and] what she’s been posting on Instagram [about coronavirus]?”

Patti revealed, “She and I do not get along, by the way.” She added, “We used to be friends.”

Then, she addressed Kelly’s comments about “no one dying in Orange County.” Patti said, “I saw that and then she went out to Fashion Mall and was like ‘Look, everything’s open. We can drink now.’ She’s like an alcoholic.” The armchair medical diagnosis is not cool, Patti. But, then again, neither is diminishing the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Patti said, “I saw that and I was thinking to myself ‘OK, are you mentally ill? Like, do you know what’s going on?’ I know people that died. Like, are you mentally ill?”

Then, Patti explained that she believes she had coronavirus, saying, “When I was going through what I went through, which I think was COVID, I couldn’t breathe in my chest. It’s a miracle. I downed bone broth and supplements, like you thought I owned a drug store. I prayed every night to God.”

When she saw Kelly’s comments, Patti wondered, “What is wrong with you?” Then, Patti said, “If you don’t watch the news and you don’t get educated, just don’t speak. Please don’t speak. Like, we’re not here to party like it’s 1999.” Ironically, Kelly is engaged to a news anchor.

By now, it’s old news that Tinsley Mortimer ditched the Real Housewives of New York for a shot at happily ever after with Scott Kluth. So the footage from the second part of the season is lacking in any high pitch frequencies. There is, however, no shortage of drama and multi-layered conflicts.

The issues within the group are not new. There is some subtle foreshadowing but also a clear indication as to where alliances were forming. The ladies are also due at Dorinda Medley’s Berkshires estate this season. Maybe Dorinda’s home was built on some sort of energy field because there is always massive drama there. Part two of the season also includes a fun, tropical getaway during which Ramona Singer hails the return of Turtle Time and Luann de Lesseps mounts a camel again.

Entertainment Weekly shared the mid-season trailer. Let’s start with the upcoming Halloween party. The one that Tinsley avoided by skipping town as quickly as she did. Dorinda gives a raging and aggressive “toast” aimed at Ramona. She said, “do you think it’s nice when you have a good girlfriend they say right away, ‘are you drunk?'” It sounds like someone was questioning Dorinda’s relationship with alcohol.

Luann and Sonja Morgan met during the last episode to discuss Sonja’s participation in her popular cabaret show. Luann seems to change her tune on that decision. She is filmed shouting at Sonja saying, “guess what, if you’re gonna start this drama, I don’t need you in my show.”

Dorinda will invite the ladies into her Berkshires home again and, as usual, there is drama. This time, between Luann and Dorinda. Did Luann end up in the fish room again? Unlikely. But Dorinda begs her to “be gracious,” after Luann shouted at her, “Dorinda, you know everything don’t you?”

Ramona often irks the group by ditching them to hang out with her “girlfriends.” On the last episode, she drove Dorinda and Sonja out to LONG ISLAND to meet with a party planner to set up a birthday party. Luckily for the ladies, Ramona is inviting them to her birthday party. But Sonja is seen erupting in jealously while proclaiming that she is a better friend to Ramona than her 50 plus girlfriends. “They’ll never be there for you,” Sonja said, “we will. Well shut the f–k up about them.”

Finally, the most volatile situations arise from Leah McSweeney. Tinsley is now gone. And that leaves Leah on her own to fend off the righteous indignation of the senior uptown ladies.

It starts with Ramona arguing with Leah. She claimed that Leah hurt her. Leah responded, “but you’re talking about my vagina to half the upper east side.” Interestingly, it’s Luann who defends Leah and suggests that Ramona is, “being hard on that girl.”

Leah has been the downtown outsider since day one, and it doesn’t look like that conflict will be resolved soon because another scene shows Leah shouting at Sonja. She said,”I cheapen the group of friends? Bitch I elevate this s–t.”

Finally, there is a black-tie party fiasco. Leah ends up grinding hardcore on Luann. Maybe this event was Ramona’s birthday party because she tries to take control of the situation. Ramona orders Leah to stop grinding then orders the camera crew to stop filming. Leah shouts “you’re psychotic,” after Ramona pulls her off Luann’s lap.

Tinsley, you haven’t missed out on anything. All the best to you and Scott.

Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute‘s damage control campaign has officially begun. The two ex-besties have finally broken their silence after being fired from Vanderpump Rules for past racist behavior against Faith Stowers.

The ramifications from the racism scandal have been swift and intense. Both Stassi and Kristen were immediately dropped by their respective PR reps. The former’s podcast, Straight Up with Stassi, has all but disappeared from basically every streaming platform. Many fans were left wondering when the Pump Rules OGs would make a public statement about the firing. However, it’s safe to say that few, if any, were expecting the ex-besties to join forces and do it together.

It turns out, both now-former Pump Rules stars have hired the same crisis management rep to help them weather the backlash. Their new publicist, Steve Honig, made a statement on Friday (June 12) on the duo’s behalf.

“Stassi and Kristen acknowledged what they did was wrong, have apologized and been punished,” he said according to Deadline. “Without casting aside their actions or the impact of those actions, they want to move forward as part of the solution in ways that are productive, meaningful and sincere. Both of them recognize actions speak louder than words and that is what will guide them as they move forward.”

From a PR standpoint, the statement is classic spin. It noticeably avoids mentioning Faith by name and only passively references them calling the cops on her back in 2018. Interestingly, there’s also no mention of Pump Rules, Bravo or anything to do with the show, either. (This was likely an intentional move to ensure it doesn’t look like they’re asking for their jobs back straight out of the gate.)

What makes the move even more fascinating is that they were barely on speaking terms prior to being fired. They spent the entirety of Season 8 at odds over Kristen’s toxicity, and have clashed repeatedly during the socially-distanced reunion. (As Stassi put it in the Season 8 finale, “Witches of Weho, dunzo.”)

So it feels ironic that when the entire world has turned against them, they can only lean on each other. In a way, their working together is giving me flashbacks to Season 4. (Remember? When Stassi came crawling back to the show, sleeping on Kristen’s couch with no friends? Eventually that got her back onto good terms with the entire cast, who had essentially written her off.)

Stassi‘s family has also launched a grassroots campaign to get the star back on Bravo. Her mother and little brother both issued pleas for forgiveness via social media. A “Support Stassi” Instagram account and an official petition to rehire the two have been making the rounds online. However, the damage seems to be done. It will be interesting to see if Kristen and Stassi can get back in the public’s good graces.

Fired Vanderpump Rules Alum Stassi Schroeder Is Reportedly Pregnant

What a week for Stassi Schroeder! It started with her delivering a questionable apology for her racially insensitive behavior. She continued to lose more business deals. Her agent and her publicist dropped her. Vanderpump Rules fired her. Her podcast was removed from all platforms. Aside from the Stassi superfans, she’s been effectively canceled by most people.

And, now, it turns out that she and her fiance Beau Clark are about to be parents. Yes, you read that correctly.

There is little to no information about how far along she is. Stassi hasn’t even confirmed it herself. However, Us Weekly has reported that she is indeed pregnant with her first child. Not so coincidentally, she did get a new publicist and she “just happened” to be spotted picking up food by the paparazzi. Very interesting.

Us Weekly also reported on some recent comments she made on her now-canceled podcast about her upcoming wedding. She and Beau were set to tie the knot in Italy in October 2020. They were also supposed to film the wedding for the show, which is obviously not happening now. However, Stassi apparently commented, “We’re 99 percent sure that it’s going to be a year from where we planned. So next year, 2021, October.”

The magazine also reported that she told them she “cannot wait to be a mom” during an interview she did in April. The now-fired reality TV star said, “I was seriously hoping to be pregnant because that is so much more important to me than even getting married. And then once I actually did become engaged, I’m like, ‘Well, I can’t be pregnant at my wedding.’ Like, I have to be able to get s–t-faced.” So, I guess that inability to be “s–t-faced” due to a pregnancy can also be attributed to the most likely delayed wedding.

Could it possibly be a planted story to change the narrative? If Stassi is pregnant, regardless of everything going on and the opinions about her behavior, we hope that she has a happy and safe pregnancy.
