Big Brother: Celebrity Edition- 5 Fun Facts About Chuck Liddell

Chuck Liddell is a giant among sports fans. The guy basically became the reason MMA is so well known and popular today. He’s a legend. Despite Chuck’s long list of historical sports achievements, many non-sports Celebrity Big Brother fans–or non-MMA/UFC fans–don’t know who he is and what he has done in his career.

For those clueless Big Brother: Celebrity Edition fans, C we did our best to dig up five interesting facts that cover some of his sports achievements, and just some random tidbits about his life.

1. He’s a Hall of Famer

In 2009, Chuck was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. His overall kickboxing record includes 22 fights with 20 wins and 2 loses. He had 16 knockouts. His mixed martial arts record includes 29 fights: 21 wins, 13 knockouts, and 8 loses. To summarize, Liddell is a beast at kickboxing and MMA.

2. A First for ESPN

In 2007, Chuck was the first MMA fighter to ever appear on ESPN magazine. Many credit this historical event as the thing that helped bring MMA into mainstream.

The following year, with excitement and curiosity at a high, Liddell released his autobiography: Iceman: My Fighting Life.

3. His Early Ambitions

Chuck made his UFC debut in 1998. The following year, a friend and him decided to open up a kickboxing gym called SLO Kickboxing. The gym taught kickboxing, weight training, and mixed martial arts. By the end of the first year, Liddell was making around $4,000 to $5,000 a month from SLO Kickboxing.

4. His Colorful Movie Credits

Chuck has a long history of appearing in movies and television shows, usually as himself. However, his most interesting credit is that he appeared in the 1981 adaptation of The Postman Always Rings Twice. This version of James M. Cain’s famous novel starred Jessica Lange, Jack Nicholson, and Anjelica Huston.

Chuck had an uncredited role as a boy scout. He was only twelve when he appeared in the film.

5. How the Iceman Became the Iceman

Originally, Chuck had the nickname among his peers as the Snowman. He got the name because during one of his fights he was describe as being like a snowball: white, compact, rolling, and getting bigger and stronger as the fight continued.

He got the nickname Iceman because he was described as having ice running through his veins. During his fights, Liddell showed no real signs of distress. He was able to stay calm and collected before, after, and during his matches. He was like an Iceman.

Liddell has also described himself as being able to handle any situation and personality. If true, Chuck should be able to handle the pressure of the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Big Brother: Celebrity Edition- 5 Fun Facts About Brandi Glanville

Brandi Glanville might be the most well known among the Celebrity Big Brother cast. Anyone who watches reality television has probably seen Brandi once or twice; she’s everywhere. Brandi is most infamously known for her time on The Real Housewives franchise, and the huge cheating scandal involving LeAnn Rimes and Brandi’s ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian. The reality show queen has no-filter: She’s the type of houseguest Big Brother: Celebrity Edition fans love.

Brandi is pretty much an open book, so her fans know almost everything about her. However, for those clueless about Glanville, we made our best attempt to give you five interesting facts about the diva of reality TV.

1. She Bonds Over Scandals

In 2017, Brandi appeared on My Kitchen Rules, the American version of the hugely popular Australian cooking show. The series basically had at least one celebrity partnered with a friend or family member (who could also be a celebrity), and then they competed in a series of cooking challenges. Brandi chose to participate in this show with Dean Sheremet, LeAnn Rimes’ ex-husband.

The two had a playful–semi-flirty–dynamic on the series, and mentioned becoming close friends after the affair.

2. She Has a Hazy Past

In the past, Brandi mentioned that her parents sold weed to make money for the family. She also stole weed from them, and then sold it to her high school classmates. Brandi also blackmailed her dad about it: He gave her money in exchange for her silence.

3. This is Not Her First Big Brother Rodeo

Brandi is the only member of the US Celebrity Big Brother cast to appear on the celebrity version of Big Brother UK. Last summer, Brandi appeared on the international celebrity version, which has a completely different format to our version.

She was the fourth houseguest evicted on that season. Despite Brandi’s normally loud personality, she was more subdued and calm in that house. However, Big Brother UK relies heavily on public votes, so she may have toned down her personality to last longer. We may see a completely different Brandi than the one on he Uk version.

4. They Meet Again

In 2015, Brandi appeared on Celebrity Apprentice. She finished in fourth place. This season was also the season Keshia Knight Pulliam appeared; Keshia was eliminated first on this season. Therefore, there may be some familiarity between Brandi and Keshia but we don’t expect them to be best friends, or to even know much about each other.

However, the slight connection could be enough for them to work together in the Big Brother house.

5. She Goes for the Gold

Brandi has been enjoying the cocktails and speaking her mind life for awhile, so many may be shocked to learn that she used to have a non-reality show career. She modeled as a teen and was a gymnast. She spoke on Twitter about doing gymnastics for nine years, and even choreographed her team.

If Brandi reigns in her personality a bit, she might be able to go far in the game. Her gymnastic past might make her more physical and competitive than people expect.

Every time I see photos of Real Housewives from different cities hanging out, I want to know what happened before and after those pics were taken. Are these people actually friends or are these just photo opportunities that guarantee a lot of likes on Instagram?

New Jersey Housewives Teresa Giudice, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, and Melissa Gorga went to Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper’s show with the New York City cast members Dorinda Medley, Carole Radziwill, and Tinsley Mortimer. Did they all sit together? Did they pregame the event? Was there a post-game? I have so many questions. Danielle Staub shared her own photos from the show, did she hang with them too? Did she go on a different date?

Where was Luann de Lesseps? She wasn’t around for that hang out, but she did share a photo of herself with a bouquet of roses.

Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright put the cheating scandal behind them and enjoyed a PG day at Disney World. Apparently James Kennedy is still cool with his best friend (and rumor starter) Logan Noh since they hung out recently- and Logan shared a photo, of course. Pandora Vanderpump Sabo visited Scheana Marie in Las Vegas to check out her show.
