Celebrity Big Brother Recap – Day 22: Trouble In Paradise

It’s day 22 in the Celebrity Big Brother house! Here we are again, and be warned, I’ve had no sleep so my sense of humor is in the same place as Kim Woodburn’s sense of goodwill: virtually non-existent.  Back to the house and we go back in time to eviction Day.

Jedward played pizza boxes last night, and left a huge mess in the store room.  Stacy Francis and Coleen Nolan confront the boys who straight away start to tidy up and sort.  Despite it being sorted, Nicola McLean comes into the room and starts having a go at Jedward again, completely needlessly.  Think she’s lost the plot.  She’ll probably find it with my lost sleeping hours….

3.39pm and we move to today’s task.  Today they are making a day time chat show called “Big Brother’s Bit on the inside”, with Coleen, Kim and Nicola hosting.

First topic is forgiveness in the house, and the guests are Speidi and Stacy.  Speidi are asked that seeing as “they’ve always been honest about it being a game, do you think you’ll ever forgive James C for playing the game”?

Heidi answers.  I think this is the longest I’ve heard her speak for.

She does stay quiet for a minute whilst she tries to gather her thoughts.  She says they realize that what they saw him as doing was different to what he meant to do.  She blames the high stakes and that they understand where they think he was coming from and it all went a little far.  She also says she feels no negativity towards him, and James C gets up to thank them and shake their hands. Cute moment.  Hope he’s genuine.

Kim then asks “Do you think your game hits below the belt sometimes” and Spencer replies “Coming from you, absolutely not!”

Kim refers him to a moment that was not aired, where Spencer had apparently made a retching sounds as he walked past her in the bedroom.  Spencer replies no comment, and it starts to turn into another argument.  Bullying accusations are thrown about with both parties.  Nicola asks Kim if that’s the noise from the spit or the gag (Clearly Kim has been talking about this to the other housemates), and Kim says it was the spit and gag apparently.

And we’re off.  Spencer erupts like a good un, and refuses to be accused of spitting and shouts into his microphone that he wants to speak to Big Brother about lying which is against the rule book.

I swear that’s how Speidi do so well in these things, I’ve never known a housemate digest the rule book so well.  He storms off from the table and stands in the corner.

4.23pm and 2^nd Topic “Self-censorship” with Calum and James C.  They talk about Calum being neutral and ask if he is the same on the outside, which he answers saying that he tends to be a people pleaser so yes.  James C is asked if it was hard after nominations.  He replies that he does take it personally and it did hurt him and that he found it so hard.

Big brother “helpfully” shows a clip of Coleen outside talking it James C saying that she wishes he would have kicked off at Speidi and basically goading him, and James C saying that it doesn’t matter because they’re in the house, and it’s not real life.  He makes a comment saying that if it was on the outside he’d bite their noses off.  Spencer reiterates from the side-lines (he’s sat down now) that’s he’s glad he nominated her, but the ever graceful James C comments that he’s glad that Big Brother showed the comment and apologises straight away.  Again Heidi speaks for Speidi (Has Spencer put new batteries in?) and accepts the apology and in return apologizes to him for their strong game player reactions and says that they don’t want to make the experience worse for him.  They all agree to put it to bed and James C gives Heidi a hug.  Spencer laughs and tells her to watch her nose…..

The final topic is “Romance” and of course, the guests are Jamie and Bianca.

Bianca is asked if she is concerned that it could be like a holiday romance, and she says of course she’s worried, it was never a plan to meet anyone in here etc etc etc and everyone laughs and has a good time.

But of course, this is Big Brother, and he doesn’t like big love ins.

Big Brother decides to show the clip with Bianca talking to Nicola about the boyfriend she has on the outside…..

Jamie’s media training kicks in, and he starts talking weird stuff about people in the past and all fluffy stuff, but when Bianca starts to join in, he points out that she did say she was single.  So that Press tuition couldn’t last forever….and the task is soon over.

We move forward to Spencer in the diary room, venting at Big Brother.  He wants to speak to a lawyer about false and libellous allegations of spitting and demands that Big Brother finds the footage to show it didn’t happen.

Big Brother informs him that housemates will always be represented fairly, but also have no contact from the outside.  I don’t know if it’s editing or not, but Spencer seems happy with this response and we move on.

Bianca is updating the other housemates, well James C and Stacy about the boyfriend (shouldn’t the conversation be with Jamie??)

But no, Jamie is in the bedroom with Nicola telling her he is more bothered about the lying and the fact she could move on from her boyfriend so quickly.

7.40pm and Bianca is in the Diary Room upset.  No sh*t Sherlock.  No sympathy.

Bianca eventually approaches Jamie and he is more than lovely, saying he just wishes she’d have told him the full story.  He gives her a big hug, and she’s got off lightly in my book.

Next up is Eviction time and Stacy’s departure.  We get to see the aftermath.

58 minutes later, and housemates are told its nomination time.  But we have a twist (How very unlike B.B.).  There is a stand with 10 playing cards on, back to front so housemates cannot tell what is underneath.  There are 3 different cards mixed in; one for nomination, one for saving and jokers which takes voting powers away.  Housemates are told to pick a card and then follow the category:

Speidi first- Nominate- and no surprise they choose Kim

Nicola- Nominate- Jedward- she is getting irritated with them more, but emphasises that they can be lovely when not doing the ‘Jedward’ thing.

Jedward- Nominate- Bianca- due to lying about her dating status and they want to give Nicola a break

Jessica- Joker- powerless.

Calum- Save- Coleen- they have always bonded from the start.

Bianca- Save- Jamie- trying to make it up to him.

Kim- Joker- Powerless and Spencer loves it and finds it hilarious.  Kim is not amused.

Coleen- Nominate- Jessica- ridiculous excuse of Jessica being to energetic, but Jessica takes it well

James C- Joker- He’s more than pleased after the mess he made last time!

Bianca, Jedward, Jessica and Kim are now up for eviction, and we know (although they don’t) it’s a double eviction.

Now, it’s always a bad sign when the commentator utters the words “Kim is enjoying a drink”.  Brace yourself readers, we have fun to come.

Meanwhile Calum is in the diary room being humble.  Although he is loving never having faced and eviction crowd and reactions, he has no idea how he is coming across to the public, and is curious to know.  Careful what you wish for m’dear!!

Speidi is at the Kitchen table with Jamie and James C and is congratulating Jamie for making it so far, and that it is an achievement still being in the house.   He is saying staying alive is a success even for Kim…

And of course, cue Kim walking in halfway through the statement and hearing her name and not the subject matter and starts going at him again.  Spencer takes it calmly and tells her he’s not going to react and doesn’t want to speak to her.  Heidi starts talking into her microphone for Big Brother and then they both run out of the room singing.

A little later and Speidi is talking to Jedward in the kitchen about the false allegations of spitting.  Kim is in the bedroom so they shut the door.  Kim opens it and Heidi closes it again.  Kim opens it and props it open with a chair, and Heidi closes it and takes the chair.  Kim opens it and props it with another chair, and Heidi takes that too.  Jedward do try telling Heidi to leave it, that’s it not worth it but she’s having far too much fun.  Speidi shout through that it’s against the rules to have it open.  Kim starts talking into the microphone telling Big Brother she wants a word. (What is it this episode for the microphone thing??  It’s like James Bond).

Bianca shuts the final door and Kim goes into the diary room, as Speidi run away from her again.  Kim is all sweetness and light at first.  She blames the temperature in the bedroom saying that she only has the door open as it’s far too hot, and Big Brother starts to explain that they are adjusting the temperature but they need the door closed for this to work.  Kim turns into that girl from the exorcist with the spinning head and all that.  Or pretty much.  The chap that got the Big Brother role tonight is regretting his shift.  She goes off like a nuclear warhead, saying that she’ll look silly in front of them know, as they’ll know she was told to keep it closed.  All fun and games.  Literally.

Bianca and Jamie are in bed talking but Jamie is on edge and ends up saying he wants air.  He gets up and goes to the diary room.  She takes the opportunity to spray on a bit more perfume in readiness for her return.  He explains to Big Brother how bothered he is by it all and how he doesn’t know where he’s meant to sleep that night, having started to share Bianca’s bed in the last few nights.  He eventually goes back to the bedroom and we wait with baited breath to see where it ends.  He heads towards Bianca, and we hold our breaths…..he then climbs into the empty single bed, next to her double, and settles in their for the night.  Perfume wasted and the show ends on the awkwardness.

Eden Sassoon Defends Questions About Kim Richards “That Was My Truth At That Moment.”

In a post-truth, alternative fact world it seems Eden Sassoon‘s misinformation about the state of Kim Richards‘ sobriety fits right in. The newest Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star now realizes her actions were a bit over the top.

Eden admits to “questioning” her behavior in retrospect. “Reliving the moments with these women is not easy. Could I have approached things in a different way? Yes, probably. But I have to remind myself that in those moments, that was what I was feeling, and that was my truth at that moment. Hindsight is always 20/20. But as I have said before, my goal is only to live out MYtruth, and if I am doing that, I am being as authentic as I can be.”

While Eden acknowledges that she overreacted, she still believes her concerns about Kim’s sobriety are justified. She describes how everything seemed normal while she was talking to Kim at PK’s party, but watching the episode has a different perspective. “Now I see that Kim wasn’t happy with me,” notes Eden in her blog. “And apparently I am ‘always around.’ Damn I’m quick! #LightningBolt.”

“Truly, I think the things you notice that are ‘always around’ you are the things you’re most scared of,” she continues, “or the things you’re scared to face. For Kim, that may be me, another sober woman who knows the disease inside and out.”

I can understand Eden’s desire to be helpful, but it was too much, too soon with a very strange fixation on Kim and Kyle. And frankly, I don’t think anyone cares to discuss Kim Richards’ sobriety ever again.

Other than the drama with Kim, this episode leaves Eden feeling that there were some “amazing moments” and “some I didn’t understand.”

On Eden’s amazing list is Dorit Kemsley rollerblading, Kyle and Erika in Greece, and PK’s party with the Boy George surprise. “The whole party was sexy, intimate, and then #POW, here’s Boy George!”

On Eden’s confusing list is Dorit’s comments to Lisa Vanderpump about Lisa Rinna‘s baggie of pills, and why Kyle doesn’t want to be besties!?

“What is Dorit trying to accomplish by bringing up Rinna’s bag of pills? Whose pot is she trying to stir?” wonders Eden. “All I know is that most of the pills in that bag would make these women healthier…and calmer. #Vitamins” Interesting that Eden is troubled by Dorit’s insinuations, while she is completely on board with Lipsa doing the same to Kim! (I am not defending Kim here – don’t get it twisted. Ha!).

Eden expresses her confusion about why Kyle was so guarded about discussing her family, when she spoke candidly about it to Erika Jayne. “Kyle was so easily able to open up about her mom to Erika, but when I asked, trying to understand where she comes from, I was attacking her? Again, I think time will only show Kyle that I have the best intentions for her and her sister.”

Um, Kyle, like, knows Erika and has met her more than once, so perhaps that has something to do with it?

Kyle Richards Slams Eden Sassoon and Lisa Rinna For “Unconscionable” Accusations

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was a good time this week. Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne rocking out in Greece, Lisa Rinna and her baggie of pills, Boy George singing at PK’s birthday party.  Well, it was all fun and games until Eden Sassoon got too intense about Kim Richards‘ sobriety and Dorit Kemsley expressed concern over Rinna‘s pill pack.  Kyle is sharing her highs and lows of this week’s episode.

Kyle gushes over her trip to Mykonos with Erika, “I really enjoyed my time with Erika and her posse. I adore all of them, and we had the best time. Erika and I always enjoy each other’s company and have fun. It was so exciting watching Erika perform. My friend is a rock star! She went on stage at 3:30 in the morning and could have gone all night!”

Watching Kyle shed some inhibitions and do the impromptu sunset photo shoot was a fun part of this week’s episode and she’s thankful to Erika for pushing her out of her comfort zone. “Getting back to the house, Erika and the gang were ready to keep the party going! I just wanted food. Erika was determined to get me in a bathing suit for an impromptu photo shoot. I could think of things I’d rather do—like have a root canal—but after much persuasion, I was in my bathing suit and posing with Erika. Miracle! Thanks Erika for making me step outside of my comfort zone!”

One thing that didn’t make Kyle very happy on this episode of Beverly Hills: watching Eden accuse her of enabling sister Kim and making bold statements about her family. Kyle writes, “We go on to see Eden stop by Lisa V’s house and express concern for Kim and accuse me of being an enabler. It is extremely upsetting to watch someone who doesn’t even know us try to create drama at our expense. The accusations that came out in this episode were shockingly irresponsible. My sister has worked hard to get where she is and to have people say the things that both Eden and Lisa Rinna have been saying is unconscionable. My sister has children that will hear about these things. Close to death?   One drink and she’ll be gone? In seeing this I am truly at a loss for words. There was absolutely NOTHING to give them that impression at Game Night. Eden certainly should not be making accusations about my sister when she says she is sober but admittedly takes pills.”

And Eden‘s “concern” continued on. Kyle blasts Eden for her harmful words, “At Dorit’s party, Kim expressed having ‘new grandmother’ anxiety about her grandson, meaning the typical parental type of worrying. I thought that was very clear. For Eden to turn that into anything other than what it was is beyond comprehension. As a sober woman (as she likes to say), doesn’t she see how damaging that is? The accusations Lisa Rinna and Eden made about me pale in comparison. Calling me an enabler? Neither of these women have any clue what goes on between my sister and me. The only people that could comment on our relationship are people that have spent time with us or are close enough to us that we would have shared stories. Nobody close to us could ever call me an enabler, because they know what we have gone through.” Kyle is thankful that Lisa Vanderpump came to their defense. “Thank you Lisa V for sticking up for my sister and me.”

Kyle ends with, “I was hoping all of this stuff with Kim was behind us. It would be nice considering this is a special time in her life. People pretending to care about her should at least see that.”

Phaedra Parks Discusses Her Children’s Camp In Flint & Porsha Williams Anger Issues

The last Real Housewives of Atlanta episode was a big one for Phaedra Parks. We saw her getting along with former nemesis Kenya Moore to give back to the kids in Flint, Michigan. As moving as it was to watch these two genuinely making a difference, the viewers were brought back to reality when Porsha Williams and her anger issues took center stage at a group dinner.

It’s pretty ironic that Phaedra’s bestie was the one in the middle of the controversy during an episode that should have been a happy one about Phaedra’s philanthropy. SMH, Porsha. All Phaedra wanted to do was gather the women to plan a camping trip and then shit really went array.

The scenes with Phaedra and Kenya were really nice to watch. They did a lot for the kids. Kenya having them “twirl” their problems away was debatable in regard to how helpful it was, but it seemed like she had genuine intentions. Phaedra opened up about the camp experience in an interview with Bravo.

When asked about the camp, Phaedra said, “It was a life changing experience!” She elaborated, “The camp allowed the campers to just be carefree children, explore nature and experience new things. They had an opportunity to sit in an emotionally safe environment and purge the weight of their pain.”

They definitely looked like they were enjoying themselves and that they had a well-rounded experience that was both fun and enlightening.

Phaedra added, “Watching the children support each other and rally together around shared experiences was heart wrenching and refreshing. I know bonds were built that will last a life time.” Maybe Phaedra should run camps for the Housewives who hate each other. Well, maybe she shouldn’t since no one wants to watch a TV show where everyone gets along perfectly.

Phaedra explained that she got just as much out of the camp as the kids did. She said, “While the camp was a reprieve for the children, it was also a reprieve for me. There was limited cellular service and no televisions at the camp so I was able to enjoy the entire week with few distractions. Having limited distractions allowed me to be fully present for the campers and remain in the moment.” Unlike a lot of reality stars who get involved with philanthropy, Phaedra really did seem to actually be involved instead of just slapping her name on something and writing a check. Props to Phaedra.

And then after that beautiful experience, the episode turned to at sthuthit show of a dinner. Porsha let simple questions about her anger management progress get the best of her and she flipped out and stormed out of the restaurant. So it’s clear that those anger management sessions are going well.

Apparently I wasn’t the only one who felt like her outburst came out of nowhere. Phaedra remarked, “I was shocked it got so heated but mostly embarrassed because we were in a public place. In this group it is hard to have peace because there seems to be endless rage, bitterness and need for drama in some of the women.”

Yeah, I actually feel bad for the customers, servers, and owners of every restaurant the Housewives go to. Shit always hits the fan. And I always wonder if someone actually paid the check when they’re always dramatically storming out of the restaurant to prove some random point.

Whether the question Kenya and Kandi Burruss had about Porsha’s anger management were genuine questions or an attempt to incite anger, Porsha definitely took her reaction way too far. I had to rewind the scene multiple times to see exactly why she flipped out and it just seemed way minor and not worth that amount of screaming and hand gestures.

So what did Phaedra have to say about it? I mean Phaedra was the one who mentioned Porsha’s supposed anger management progress to the group. Phaedra recalled, “When the concern was brought up about Porsha, I wanted her to have an opportunity to share and exemplify her growth and evolution, but certainly understood that she felt attacked due to the manner it was done.”

Phaedra added, “People need to learn to express genuine concern for an issue without attacking or provoking the person.” I do think that Kenya and Kandi could have had a better delivery, but you know what they say, “hindsight is 20/20.” Then again, Porsha is her own keeper and she should be able to control her actions.

And of course Phaedra took the time to randomly plug one of her own catch phrases, “I just wanted to scream FIX IT JESUS, ALL OF IT!!” Yes, Phaedra, quoting yourself and screaming the words out loud was definitely going to ameliorate the situation at hand.

Dorit Kemsley Does Not Think There Are Any Real Villains On RHOBH; Says Eileen Davidson Needs A Lot Of Resolution

Newbie Dorit Kemsley is already making quite a splash on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. I like her and I don’t. I like her spunk, her refusal to back down, the way she jumps all in with the women, and the candor in her friendship with Lisa Vanderpump.

Dorit recently chatted with Jenny McCarthy about her Real Housewives experiences, how producers editing play into the story lines, and who’s this season’s baddest bitch.

Dorit confirms that “absolutely” producers encourage the women to keep certain story lines going but, elaborates, “They don’t really make you rehash – that’s not necessarily true. I mean they do want us to [resolve], but sometimes things are resolved and then some people will like to rehash it on their own accord. It really is of their own accord sometimes. And it just goes on and on and on and on to a point where you really want to shoot yourself.” (Ahem Eileen!)

Dorit doesn’t really understand this “trait” of Eileen Davidson‘s. “I don’t really know, and I don’t really know her that well, but everybody knows her to be that way; all the producers, all the women… I mean, there’s a lot of resolve that she needs. It sort of sometimes continues to overflow.”

“I felt so many different things throughout the season,” continues Dorit. “And then when I started watching the show, and I would see, even the way they edit it, or the way they get a certain snippet, or a joke – there’s like a part of a joke that you hear and not the rest. And it’s like ‘Wait a minute! That actually has an ending [laughs]. You only gave the beginning!’ But I think ultimately you see who people are. There’s enough episodes in the season where you get a real understanding of who this person is, and if they’re a good person you see it comes through. I don’t really think there’s anyone who’s a villain per se. Villain qualities…”

Dorit admits that “basically everyday” she’s had some regrets about signing her life away to Real Housewives. “I mean it is tough! It was very difficult. It was difficult because I really didn’t know what I was going into. Somewhat, I had to veer away from my comfort zones – you know, my husband and my children – and do some things on my own. And then you’re with a group of women where, you know, you feel like you have to be on guard. So it was difficult, it was, but I enjoyed it.”

Naturally, pantygate was discussed. Dorit thinks it only became a big deal because “that’s what the show was focusing on,” but it taught her a very valuable lesson about how things work around these reality TV parts!

“I certainly learned very early on in the show the point that, you say something; it’s out there. It’s free game, and that is the mistake. And I certainly wouldn’t do that again, I can tell you that.”

Dorit, again, insists she gave Erika the panties as a joke, believing Erika would get it, “I really do believe that all the women know that.” She feels the the women encouraged her to give Erika panties to create a situation for the show. “It’s a bit of drama and so on, and they’re not front and center. It’s nice to be in the ‘audience’ looking at the show, if you will.”

Dorit insists, “It wasn’t designed to be going behind [Erika’s] back,” she just didn’t see her for a while after the flashing happened, but in between, she did see the other women. In some behind the scenes gossip, Dorit implies that it was the other women who put it into Erika’s head that Dorit had malicious intent. After handing Erika the panties, she recalls, “I left the room to use the restroom, and when I came back all the women were chatting, and she just had this look of death on her face.”

Still, she’s not sorry if her humor or comments bother people. “I can’t keep myself closed. The things that come out of my mouth, they just come out of my mouth, Jenny! But I’ll always be honest,” Dorit laughs.

The same goes for her accent: “I am who I am; I speak the way I speak.” Dorit spent 10 years living in Italy, is married to a Brit, and despite being raised in Connecticut, her parents are Israeli. “I think it’s just an international blend to be honest with you.”

Dorit also shared an update on her children. Her son Jagger is starting to speak, and “trust me,” she jokes, “he does not sound like an American! But he’s doing really great. He’s flourishing.” Her daughter Phoenix is nearly one and almost walking. “They’re everything for me!” she gushes. She’s adamant that having 3 trillion nannies is necessary for her “very busy household.”

“I’m very hands-on,” Dorit insists. “And I’m very lucky, I’m very grateful that I’m able to afford help. I don’t have my parents around, I don’t have any family close by, and working moms need help.”

Dorit also says the situation with Boy George is genuine. “When he’s in L.A. he’s with us. He goes back and forth between London and L.A. Is my 112th nanny! He’s very involved with the children.”

Meghan King Edmonds Will Not Return To Real Housewives Of Orange County; Tamra Judge Will

As we all suspected, Meghan King Edmonds is done with Real Housewives Of Orange County.

Multiple sources confirm Meghan will not return next season, although it’s not clear if she was fired, quit, or it was a mutual decision. After filming for season 11 wrapped, Meghan and Jim pretty much moved back to St. Louis, because Meghan wanted to be near family to raise her daughter Aspen.

Last season, Meghan often appeared frustrated and distant from RHOC as she went through her IVF journey and saw Heather Dubrow‘s true colors. Bravo hasn’t confirmed Meghan’s departure yet, but Us Weekly says it’s a done deal and Meghan won’t even be making appearances next season.

I’m suspecting Mrs. Edmonds III decided to focus on her family and avoid the drama, which I respect and appreciate, and after the lackluster drama she provided last season, the network was more than OK with that. Everybody wins.

Meghan, the self-appointed but sadly ineffectual RHOC morality police, struggled to connect with the other women. It always seemed to me that she was pretty much ‘planted’ to do a job – aka, call out Vicki Gunvalson‘s boyfriend Brooks on faking cancer and be a ‘supporter’ for Heather. Admittedly, Meghan grew on me last season, but I still think leaving the show is the right choice. I will miss Jimmy Dad Jeans and his Jazz Hands, though.

There is a bright spot, however; Tamra Judge is back. Oh gee… who was worried she might actually leave?! After last season ended with Vicki and Shannon at an irrevocable impasse, rumors swirled that Shannon, along with Heather and Tamra, were threatening to quit if Vicki wasn’t fired.

Obviously, Vicki is back – she’s already possibly leaked the name of the new Housewife, and I’m guessing that Heather, Shannon, and Tamra’s threatening to quit was just that – idle threats. They pretty much do this every season, hopefully someone at Bravo finally sat them down to say, look – nobody cares about your silly fitness competitions or phony spiritual epiphanies, or hearing you convincing yourself that your cheating husband loves you, or Heather’s $45,000 microwaves – the show needs Vicki’s crazy, like her or not.

Also, in case you didn’t hear – it’s Vicki’s show. Glad Andy understands.

Well, see you in season 12, bitches! Unless your name is Meghan, then catch you on the flip side. Hopefully that flip side does not mean Marriage Boot Camp where ex-Housewives and their nonsense go to malinger in their fifteen minutes of fame.
