The 52-year-old comedian revealed he was shocked to learn that Kelce attended his show during his bachelor party festivities. Chappelle discussed this in a Zoom interview on CNN’s “Independence Eve Live” on Friday.
He remarked: “I was shocked. I had never seen anything like that. A w—eless bachelor party? Whatever makes you happy, Travis.” Chappelle then proceeded to joke about not getting an invitation to the most star-studded wedding of the year so far. He quipped to hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, “I heard he was getting married at Madison Square Garden. You would think I could have got an invite, but I didn’t.” “I didn’t make the 15,000 closest friends,” clearly taking a dig at the 1,000 people who reportedly attended the couple’s wedding on July 3 at Madison Square Garden.
Cohen chimed in and remarked: “It looks like the three of us are the only three people [who didn’t go]. The three of us are the only ones not invited” (via Page Six).
Swift and Kelce tied the knot in the presence of their family, friends, and loved ones. The Grammy-winning singer reportedly walked down the aisle to a stage where the couple said “I do.” A source tied to PEOPLE revealed that their vows were about 20 minutes each and were written in gold books. Both of them reportedly shed tears, with Kelce reportedly having an emotional reaction to the vows.
A source explained that despite the massive size of the venue, it was “very crowded.” Notably, as per the official statement, Swift’s brother Austin served as her “Man of the Honor,” while Kelce’s brother, Jason, served as his “Best Man.” Adam Sandler reportedly officiated the event.
