Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor apparently borrowed millions from the late Queen Elizabeth to settle with his alleged victim, Virginia Giuffre, out of court. New reports claim the former Prince borrowed cash from Prince Philip’s estate and his brother, the now-King Charles.

To avoid facing Virginia Giuffre in court, Andrew is thought to have borrowed £12,000,000 (approximately $16 million) to settle with his accuser. Virginia was one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent sex trafficking victims. She also accused Andrew of assaulting her on three occasions when she was 17. In 2021, she sued the former Duke of York, and the pair reached an undisclosed out-of-court settlement.

That settlement, it now seems, was only reached due to the financial input from other royals. The Sun reports Andrew was urged to reach the settlement in order to distance himself from the scandal before the Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

“As far as anyone knows, he still has not repaid a single penny of the millions he borrowed,” a source who spoke to the newspaper added. “The money from the Royal Family bought her silence but denied Virginia her day in court.”

Per the report, Andrew intended to sell one of his holiday homes – a Swiss ski chalet – to clear his debt. This plan fell through, however. The multi-million-pound property, located in the posh Verbier resort, did not make Andrew any profit due to heavy mortgage debt.

Sadly, Virginia allegedly took her own life at the age of 41 in April last year. That was not the end of Andrew’s involvement in the scandal, however. Since then, he has been stripped of his last remaining royal titles and kicked out of his Royal Lodge mansion.

“Sarah feels backed into a corner,” an insider told Radar Online. “In her mind, she has reached a point where staying silent only deepens the damage to her own name.”

The source continued: “She believes she may have no alternative but to go rogue from the royals and lay bare Andrew Windsor’s dirty secrets in order to protect herself.”

This comes after the release of yet more files relating to Sarah and Andrew’s alleged former friend, Jeffrey. Among the recent batch of files were images of Andrew and an unidentified woman. There was also email correspondence between Sarah and the convicted sex offender. For his part, Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing, and inclusion in the files is not an indication of guilt.

That said, the insider claims Sarah feels let down by Andrew. “When Sarah revisits the timeline of what happened … it fuels a growing sense of anger.”

“With hindsight, she questions whether she was given the full picture. And whether she placed too much faith in Andrew’s reassurances,” they went on. “Now she feels she is bearing the consequences of choices that were not entirely hers. In her mind, she spent years shielding him from deeper fallout. That protective stance has severely damaged her own credibility and standing.”

As a result, the source suggested Sarah – who is allegedly “under real financial pressure” – might accept a book deal to save her reputation. “The sums being floated are substantial,” the insider claimed.

“When you are confronted with that kind of offer in the context of mounting expenses and limited alternatives, it becomes difficult to justify turning it down,” they continued. “She feels she cannot realistically ignore what is on the table.”

Executives at NBC feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has shaken them and everyone at the network to their core. Nancy is the mother of Savannah, who hosts Today on NBC.

There has been speculation that they might do a Dateline episode about the mystery, but the higher-ups are said to be “uncomfortable” about doing that according to an insider. Nancy has been missing officially since February 1. Blood was discovered at her home, which belonged to the 84-year-old, while police believe she was taken. The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for anyone with information on her whereabouts.

As much as a Dateline special on Nancy could be a huge ratings hit, NBC bosses don’t seem ready to green-light it. On Rob Shuter’s Substack Naughty but Nice, an insider says that executives at the network are deeply conflicted. “People are begging the company to do something,” the insider adds.

Fear, however, seems to be an underlying factor on many fronts. The executives consider Savannah family and don’t want to appear like they’re profiting off her grief. In addition, some of Savannah’s colleagues reportedly are pushing the network to pay the $6 million ransom. Bosses fear that doing so would set a dangerous precedent that could lead to this happening again.

A ransom note sent this week promised to return Nancy within 12 hours after receiving the money. Some believe the kidnapper or kidnappers may live in Tucson, just as Nancy does. The thought behind that is that many of the ransom notes have appeared on local news stations in that area. Police arrested a man earlier this week in connection with Nancy’s disappearance. The man known as Carlos has since been released, claiming he didn’t know who Nancy or Savannah were.

Savannah has been absent from hosting at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy and from anchoring during this ordeal.
