Big Brother 24 Power of Veto Week 7 Ceremony Results (08/22/22)

This has been one of the longest weeks of Big Brother 24 so far. it’s been so long mainly because it’s been over since Thursday’s Live Eviction episode, but we just haven’t had our next eviction yet. The only thing that could shake up the week was if nominees Monte Taylor, Jasmine Davis, Joseph Abdin, or Matt Turner won one of the two Power of Veto Competitions.

If any of them won it, Head of Households Michael Bruner and Terrance Higgins would have to reevaluate their plans for the week. Fortunately for them, unfortunately for team excitement, none of the nominees won a Power of Veto Competition. Instead, Brittany Hoopes won her third Power of Veto (two wins are shared with Michael) and Terrance won his first.

Neither planned to use the Veto. At least that’s how things stood on Saturday night after both Veto Competitions had finished. We know that Brittany still plans not to use the Veto, but we don’t know much about what’s going on in the backyard.

On Saturday, allegedly, one or multiple wall yellers began to come to the Big Brother 24 house and shout things to the backyard crew. Because of this, Big Brother has played music in the backyard and prevented Live Feed watchers from seeing the backyard events.

Despite not having much info about what’s happening in the backyard, we can assume that Terrance still has no plans to use the Veto. Once Kyle Capener told Terrance about the Leftovers, it was basically over for Joseph’s game unless he won the Veto.

So what happened at the Veto Ceremony inside the house? Did we learn what happened at the outside Veto Ceremony? Read below to find out.

MAJOR BIG BROTHER 24 SPOILERS AHEAD. PROCEED WITH CAUTION

Brittany did not use the Veto. On Thursday, either Monte or Jasmine become the second member of the Big Brother 24 jury.

We don’t know if the Veto Ceremony happened in the backyard, and we may not find out until Wednesday. We’ll update this post if that changes and we have a confirmation about the backyard Veto Ceremony.

As of now, we can assume that Terrance did not use the Veto. On Thursday, either Joseph or Turner will become the third member of the jury. Currently there is a rumor going around Twitter that Terrance used the Veto on Turner and Kyle and Joseph are on the block. Nothing has been confirmed about this yet.

Michael, Brittany, and Taylor Hale all want to keep Monte this week. We would be surprised if that changed, so for now, expect Jasmine to become the second member of this year’s jury. If things went as planned, Kyle and Alyssa Snider plan to vote out Joseph this week. He will become the third/second member of the jury. We expect a slow march to Thursday, but if anything exciting happens, we’ll keep you updated.

Here’s The Reality TV Shows I’m Watching This Week

As summer draws to an end, we know that fall programming is coming our way again in just a few short weeks. I spent the summer doing some Housewives rewatches to fill in the blanks on some of my usuals. And it was a lot of fun, I’m not going to lie. With that said, this week, I’m focused on keeping up with Real Housewives and even added a few wild cards into the mix. Here’s what I’m watching this week and why.

Sunday – Real Housewives of Atlanta

I’m going to give it to you straight – season 14 of Real Housewives of Atlanta has been meh for me. I know everyone was excited for Marlo Hampton to get her peach. But I’m finding her thirsty and contrived. With newbie Sanya-Richards-Ross cozying up to her, it’s resulting in a double thirst conundrum for me. I wanted to like Marlo as a full-timer, but it’s just not happening. And it’s hard for me to give Sanya a chance now. Add in their antics in Jamaica and I’m left unimpressed. Minus Kandi Burruss giving Marlo the cold shoulder after their recent blow up. And seeing Marlo and her exposed nipple beat Drew “I was a track star” Sidora at the most basic of races.

Watch on Bravo at 8 PM ET. The episode is also available to stream on Peacock the next day.

Monday – Snake In The Grass

Ok, if you love Survivor and even Big Brother, this is the lite, low-budget version to satisfy your needs. Every Snake In The Grass episode features 4 competitors (some of them from Survivor “fame”) who are playing to win $100K. They go through challenges and “the snake” might try and sabotage their chance of winning as a group. Contestants also try and get to know each other, which is really just them trying to flush out who is lying. They also get clues throughout the show about who the snake might be. At the end of the hour, all 4 players must vote in secret. If 3 of three of them vote for the same snake, they split $100K. If they don’t all vote for the correct snake, the snake walks away with the $100K. It’s kind of campy, the contestants are not likable at all, and the host is named Bobby Bones. Need I say more?

Watch on USA Network at 8 PM ET.

Wednesday – Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Sigh. When are the women of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills going to stop bullying Sutton Stracke and get down to the real issues? Like Erika Jayne’s alleged bamboozling and Lisa Rinna’s unhinged behavior? I am by no means a Sutton stan (or a Slutton, as the fans say online), but it’s exhausting to watch the women constantly drag her down for no real reason. Kudos to Garcelle Beauvais for telling Erika she can make herself look bad all on her own. Which was one of my most anticipated moments of the season. But I’m ready for whatever drama their Aspen trip has to bring. And they better deliver.

Watch on Bravo at 8 PM ET. The episode is also available to stream on Peacock the next day.

Wednesday – Real Housewives of Dubai

I know. No one seems to enjoy Bravo’s attempt at an international franchise. Probably because the women on Real Housewives of Dubai are, well, boring. Except for Chanel Ayan. No one can convince me that she is not one of the most dynamic housewives we’ve seen in awhile. The previews for RHODubai made her look like a self-important snob. She’s anything but. Chanel is sweet, thoughtful, funny and vulnerable. Her backstory is inspiring and her fashion is to die for. She’s really everything I want in a housewife but she’s stuck on a show with a bunch of bores who can’t muster up a decent fight to save the show. Caroline Stanbury might be the biggest disappointment of them all. I lived for her chilly brand of English on Ladies of London. But watching her duct tape melons onto her 27 year-old husband so he knows what it’s like to be pregnant is not what I have come to expect from someone of her stature. Oh and her engagement dress was ugly. Not sorry!

Watch on Bravo at 9 PM ET. The episode is also available to stream on Peacock the next day.

Streaming – Untold: The Girlfriend That Didn’t Exist

This Netflix two-part documentary deep dives into the story of former Notre Dame football player and Heisman trophy finalist, Manti Te’o. If you don’t like sports and I’m starting to lose you – don’t give up just yet. This is a true crime mystery/drama that completely unraveled his budding football career. After a storybook college football season, Manti was prominently featured both for being an awesome player and going through an extreme amount of grief at the same time. As the story went, Manti suffered from the death of both his grandmother and his girlfriend that year. Only one little problem with that: his girlfriend didn’t exist. I don’t want to spoil it, so just jump in.

Watch on Netflix now.

Top 5 Takeaways From Real Housewives Of Atlanta Season 14 Episode 15

Welcome back to the Real Housewives of Atlanta recaps! It’s been a minute and we are now joining the peaches on Sanya Richards-Ross’ Jamaica vacation. Before we get started, let’s just talk about the highlight of last week’s episode, please. It was when Marlo Hampton beat out Drew “former track star” Sidora in what looked short enough to be a 5 meter race. I don’t know how long it actually was, but it was short and sweet enough for Marlo to win in a photo finish, beating Drew out by a boob. Anyway, let’s pick up where we left off.

An Invitation For Trouble

The ladies are fighting at dinner over Sanya allegedly disinivitng Kenya Moore and Sheree Whitfield. Which she didn’t. She left an open invite for them to come to her video shoot. But the bus left without them and Sanya will likely spend the season paying for it. And they missed their chance to beat  Drew at the 5 meter since Drew blew out her achilles on her good ankle. Hardly worth being wheelchair bound in Jamaica and going through intense physical therapy. All to prove that she ran track in high school. Much like husband Ralph Pittman played college football, I imagine.

Back at dinner, Sanya’s husband sees that things are getting sticky for Sanya and won’t tolerate it. Big Gregg Leakes vibes (RIP) and I want to respect him for that. But it really wasn’t that serious. So he ushers Sanya away for a breather and tells us in his confessional that she was drowning and he won’t let her drown and they drown together. Which would have been romantic if it wasn’t such a disturbing visual.

Sanya comes back and quickly realizes that her new pal Marlo isn’t going to stick up for her. Welcome to Marlo’s world, Sanya. I would exit left when you have the chance.

Everyone is Mad At Marlo

Day 4 of their trip and our peaches are starting to get restless. And messy. Keeping up with who is fighting is easy. Keeping up with who is going behind someone’s back and playing both sides of the fence is harder. Sanya leaves for another brand shoot and leaves Marlo in charge. Kenya is naturally pissed Marlo is in charge of anything, let alone her day.

So they all head to an eco park to eat a lunch seasoned with bird poop. No really – the birds above them are crapping all over the place but Kenya and Kandi are so against hanging out with Marlo, they refused to move to a less bird crap covered location.

Even at the pool, Kandi, Todd Tucker and Kenya find their own VIP section to ignore Marlo. Marlo on the other hand is busy reliving Kandi’s low blow about her nephews at their dinner fight. She can’t seem to get past it and to be fair, I don’t blame her. Kandi wondering how Marlo could give up on her nephews and kick them out was definitely more than shade. And given that Marlo was having a conversation with Tampa Ralph, it seemed unnecessary. But we all know that on RHOA, the ladies do a much better job of keeping their castmates accountable. Take notes, Beverly Hills.

Watch Your Back On The Lazy River

Now that Sanya is back from working, the women take a trip down a lazy Jamaican river on bamboo rafts. It might sound relaxing but the dueling Bone Collectors are working overtime on their respective rafts. Sheree is busy telling Kenya what Sanya said the night before. And Sanya is busy telling Marlo about her issues with Kenya. Todd and Kandi? They are making calls and sending emails. Can someone tell me how I can’t manage to get cell reception in parts of my house but the Tuckers have it in the middle of a river in Jamaica? I need their provider, please.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Ralph continues to do the least. Drew is laid up in bed with her swollen ankle. So Ralph had champagne or wine delivered to the room. You would have thought that he hand crafted the wine from a local vineyard and presented it to Drew on a silver platter the way she reacted. I guess when you’re married to Tampa Ralph, the bar is set very low. At least he helped push her wheelchair.

She By Sheree Is Getting She By She Serious

While on the trip, we got one little update on how She by Sheree is coming along. [Insert Dorinda Medley “Not Well Bitch” gif]. The scene may have been short but it’s setting up next week’s disaster for Sheree’s long awaited clothing line. Her assistant/designer/head person dealing with the clothing line lady is busy telling her that the final countdown is on.

Sheree probably shouldn’t be in Jamaica when there are only three weeks to go on her fashion show. But this is Housewives and cast trips must be had. Regardless, it doesn’t seem to help matters in next week’s preview when things start to fall apart faster than Kenya can read Sanya for filth.

I also need to point out that Sheree should be mindful that joggers might not even be in style by the time her line comes out. Just a thought.

Kenya Will Never Pick You

Despite the final dinner ultimately being a win with everyone making up, it’s hard to believe that cast will continue to get along. Kandi swears she doesn’t want anything to do with Marlo but they do make amends at dinner. Kenya and Sanya volley insults back and forth until Kenya finally catches Sanya with nothing to say. And then they make up and trade compliments.

Let’s keep it real though – Kenya knows exactly what she’s doing. She doesn’t like Sanya and one little exchange probably won’t change that. Unfortunately, Sanya doesn’t seem to realize it and continues to try as hard as she can to jockey for that coveted friendship award from both Marlo and Kenya. Who hate each other.

Does Sanya not understand the first rule of Housewives? You have to pick a side or they will both turn on you. Marlo isn’t exactly known for being loyal. Kenya? Well, she loves a grudge. And I think Marlo is only happy to get “close” to Sanya so she has an ally to mold into one of her minions. Or maybe Sanya just wants to borrow Marlo’s confessional outfit that featured a stuffed animal tiger wrapped around her shoulders. No really, I’m pretty sure my toddler has that same stuffy. If it ends up in Le’Archive, I would love to buy it for her. 4 year olds love that stuff.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK THAT MARLO AND KANDI WILL STAY FRIENDLY? WHAT ABOUT KENYA AND SANYA? WHOSE TEAM ARE YOU ON? WHAT CELL SERVICE TO DO YOU THINK THE TUCKERS USE?

90 Day Fiancé Recap: Tell All Part 2

Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance was tense. Nobody was left out of the hot seat. But some had to not only face their actions, but people in their lives Some members of the cast decided to focus on everyone else, while others wanted to steer clear of the drama. If you thought Part 1 was intense, Part 2 did not disappoint.  I found myself yelling at the TV at some points, because Jibri was allowed to run wild throughout the entire show. Sigh!

The explosive second half of the Season 9 Tell All jumps back into the heated confrontation between Jibri and Patrick’s brother, John. Mohamed clashes with Yvette’s friend, Jibri storms offstage when confronted by his friend and band mate. Mohammed makes a shocking confession. Let’s get straight to the recap.

Jibri, 28 (Rapid City, South Dakota) and Miona, 23 (Serbia)

If Jibri spent the same amount of time working on his own relationship and family dynamics as he did pointing out everyone else’s problems on the cast, he may be better off. After going back and forth with Patrick’s brother, he gets upset that he doesn’t back down. He then demands that John not be allowed back on stage with him and the rest of the cast. Honestly, I had no issue with what John had to say. Jibri literally was bullying everyone on stage, including the women and then couldn’t take another man giving it right back. Ariela even pointed out that she felt that Jibri was doing the same thing that he is accused John of doing. As the episode continues, He continues to tell the other couples who he thinks won’t last.

Finally Jibri is the one being asked the questions instead of putting his nose in everyone else’s business.  He admits that things are still tense between him and his family. He hasn’t seen them since he was last in South Dakota before his wedding. His friend, David is brought out to give his opinion on the situation. David reveals that he wasn’t told about the engagement and wasn’t even invited to the wedding. Jibri gets so upset that David is challenging him that he storms off stage and claims his friend is jealous. Sigh! Let’s be real, that man has his own trucking company, why the hell would he be jealous of Jibri? Miona takes no responsibility for breaking up the group or the problems with her husband’s family. But after a lot of whining from Jibri, he and David are able to hug it out. Jibri is an annoying man child. He comes off as very selfish and spoiled, he can only see his version of events.

Emily, 29 (Salina, Kansas) and Kobe, 34 (Cameroon)

Emily and Kobe share photos of their beautiful children. But they also reveal that their intimacy has taken a backseat now that they have two small children. The topic quickly changes when Emily is challenged about how she essentially forced Kobe to spend the night with her to have sex before being able to see his son after waiting years. She quickly admits her plan wasn’t well thought out and she should have asked him before he arrived. I have had many things to say about Emily this season, but I actually saw a much more caring side of her on the Tell All. She actually seemed rationale and was supportive of others that were attacked. Hopefully this softer side is shown to her husband as well.

Bilal, 42 (Kansas City, Missouri) and Shaeeda, 37 (Trinidad and Tobago)

Shaeeda shares her frustration with Bilal not wanting to try to have a baby immediately. As a 37 year old woman, she believes time is of the essence for her. But he thinks it is important for them to have time as a couple, before bringing a child into the world. These two obviously don’t see eye to eye on the issues, but hopefully they will be able to come to an agreement soon. When it is time to leave, Bilal reflects on the way the rest of the cast viewed him as a person. He was shocked that so many people had such a negative impression of him. Shaeeda reiterates that her husband is a good man, but she wants to be honest about the things they need to work on.

Yvette, 48 (Albuquerque, New Mexico) and Mohamed, 25 (Egypt)

The footage of Mohamed meeting Yvette’s friends for the first time where he is asked about sex life is aired. One of the friends that participated in that interrogation joins the cast to defend her actions. Regardless of her explanation, those questions are inappropriate to ask someone you don’t know on a first meeting. Mohammed felt if they truly wanted to get to know him; there were several questions that would have helped them accomplish that more than asking about sex. But I have to give Mohammed credit; he attempts to bury the hatchet by shaking the friend’s hand. But honestly, Yvette needs to learn how to check her friends as well.

Shortly after the Tell All, Yvette went through Mohammed’s phone and discovered he had been engaging in an inappropriate relationship with another woman. For months he was talking to the other woman about being with her, after he receives his green card. Yvette is devastated that the man she loved could live a double life. Let’s be honest, this relationship seemed doomed from the start. These two had so many red flags that they were starting to blur. Also, the comment Mohammed made about just getting another sponsor was very telling. Although I am not surprised, I do feel bad for Yvette. She probably was working to support her and Mohammed while he was engaging in these conversations.

Ariela, 30, (Princeton, New Jersey) and Biniyam, 31 (Ethiopia)

Ariela admits that she has commitment issues. She gives Biniyam credit for being the one who has taught her about love and togetherness. Despite all that she has learned, it didn’t stop her from going to Ethiopia for three months and blocking her husband several times. Her rationale is that blocking him would keep her from worrying about why he wasn’t calling her or what he was doing. In a strange way, I understand what she means, although it wasn’t the right way to handle things. As a person who often overanalyzes things, sometimes avoidance seems like a solution to stop that behavior. But 95% only makes things worse.

When Biniyam’s sisters throwing wine in Ariela’s face was discussed everyone has a reaction. Most of the cast were shocked that Biniyam didn’t chastise his sisters and defend his wife more. Honestly, although there was no excuse for them to throw wine, there was hurt on both sides. Biniyam claims his intentions were not to make things worse. He clearly isn’t a confrontational person and has issues communicating in tense situations. I don’t know the future of this relationship, but I hope these two can work things out. Right now, he has the opportunity to do more with his MMA career in Las Vegas and Ariela is adamant about not living there with their son. I guess we will have to wait and see how things happen in the future.
