Bethenny Frankel Dishes Real Housewives of New York City's Mexico Trip, From Luann's Falls to "Disaster" Ramona
from E! Online (US) - TV News http://www.eonline.com/news/869402/bethenny-frankel-dishes-real-housewives-of-new-york-city-s-mexico-trip-from-luann-s-falls-to-disaster-ramona?cmpid=rss-000000-rssfeed-365-tvnews&utm_source=eonline&utm_medium=rssfeeds&utm_campaign=rss_tvnews
Ramona Singer Is Not Proud Of Her Behavior In Mexico
That last episode of Real Housewives of New York was not a good look for Ramona Singer– and I’m not even making a dig about Ramona’s face after she got a chemical peel or whatever cosmetic procedure she elected to have before going on the cast trip to Mexico. I’m referring to her bratty behavior about the room selection and her typical behavior when it comes to ordering around the hotel staff.
It just was unflattering all around. Surprisingly enough, Ramona is actually owning up to her behavior- well, sort of.
Ramona wrote a super short post for her Bravo blog. She shared an update about her daughter: “Avery [Singer] is now home after graduating and just started her position at a major financial institution. I could not be prouder of her.” This is not-at-all-surprising since Avery has always had it together.
Then Ramona (kind of, sort of) addressed the episode: “What I am not proud about was my behavior on my night in Mexico with the girls. I acted out in too many ways to count.” She didn’t get into specifics or actually spell out an apology (of course), but that admission is a lot coming from Ramona.
Of course, she took changed the topic and wrote, “What a difference a year can make! Last year Bethenny [Frankel] did not want to include Sonja [Morgan] or Luann [D’Agostino] on the group trip. I was trying to convince Bethenny not to exclude them. This year Bethenny was trying to exclude me.” Not really sure what point Ramona was trying to make there, other than digging at Bethenny for getting into it with the cast members, but then again they all fight with each other and make up, so it really doesn’t matter anyway.
Ramona claimed, “The place we went to was magical and the irony is there was not a bad room in the villa. I would have been happy to sleep in a beach chair.” No one believes that- not even a teeny, tiny bit.

Tonight we meet up with the ladies who are still in Mexico. Bravo’s summary of tonight’s RHONY episode: “It’s a new day in Mexico and the drama continues as Bethenny confronts Ramona about attending the Tequila trip. Tinsley readdresses the press article with Sonja, while some of the other ladies try their hand at surfing. The ladies all go shopping together and Ramona tries to buy her way back into Bethenny’s good graces. Tinsley and Sonja’s tension resurfaces at dinner. Bethenny takes the ladies on an educational day-drinking trip to the agave fields in Tequila. The ladies ride the drunk train back to the villa where Sonja puts Ramona in the hot seat.”
Meet us here at 9/8 CST to snark through the episode!

Yolanda Hadid Shares Lyme Disease Treatment Update; Posts Thong Photo
Yolanda Hadid is like 90% well, but there’s still a part of her that hasn’t completely recovered from Lyme Disease. No, never that! But perhaps with this latest procedure, she’s finally solved her medical mysteries?
The former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star has been doing whatever she can to completely heal herself, no matter where in the world she has to find a cure in order to help others battling chronic diseases. Now that Yolanda will be returning to reality TV with Model Moms, she certainly can’t slump back to 60% functioning!
Yolanda has been in Switzerland completing the final stage in her Lyme journey with a long-awaited “cavitation surgery,” which is some sort of addition to her previous mercury removing dental surgery. She shared the above photo of the procedure.
As we know, Yolanda has always been a fan of alternative medicines and treatments – including relying on the healing power of sunlight and many vacations, and in her latest turned to “biological dentistry,” which sounds like rich people talk for solid gold crowns and jaw massages?
RELATED – Yolanda Shares Her Painful Health Journey With Dr. Oz
Apparently now part of her Lyme suffering was caused by wisdom teeth drama. Yolanda previously removed her silicone implants because they were leaking into her blood stream causing further complications that impacted her Lyme recovery.
Yolanda shared a photo of the dental procedure, then jetted off to fulfill the ever-important “Body Mind and Soul” aspect of recovery at Lake Constance in the Alps. Of course no post-op is complete without the healing power of a racy thong bikini! To prove to any future sugar daddies that she’s still got it, I guess?!
“The final item on my to-do list to get back to 100 complete and vibrant health was to have cavitation surgery that I have put off for the past 4 years because I didn’t really understand the correlation of dental health and recovering from chronic disease,” Yolanda shared on Instagram. At least she didn’t trot out her trusty white bathrobe this time!
She continued, “I [r]emoved all my Mercury amalgams and metal based crowns and changed bad root canals to zirconia implants, I slowly over the years detoxed with ion foot baths and cilantro oil drops orally. although my wisdom tooth extraction 7 years ago seemed a relatively minor procedure from the viewpoint of conventional dentistry, In biological dentistry they view jaw cavitation as a major interference field , a common complication particularly for patients who are already immuno-suppressed with high levels of inflammation like chronic Lyme patients. these cavitations creates a perfect space for infection to hide and therefor a continuous attack on the immune system.”
Yolanda explained that, “This residual infection, known as a jaw neuralgia-inducing cavitational osteonecrosis (NICO) is often found at the sites of past wisdom tooth extraction so choose your dental care wisely and educate yourself about anything that goes in or out of your body………. #MyHealthJourney #RecoveringFromChronicDisease #TheDentalConnection #SwissBioHealth”

Is it wrong that even with the Lyme, I still want Yolanda’s life? All those beautiful vacation destinations… [sigh].

Dorinda Medley Calls Ramona Singer And Sonja Morgan’s Room-Grabbing “The Worst Behavior”
After giving up her room to Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan in Vermont, Dorinda Medley finally put her foot down in Mexico. When The Real Housewives Of New York ladies arrived at their beautiful rental house, Dorinda almost gave in again to the spastic fits of Grabby and Greedy – until Bethenny Frankel practically tasered someone stepped in to break up the madness. In her blog, Dorinda reflects on what she calls “the worst” behavior she’s seen from the likes of Ramona and Sonja.
Dorinda recounts the events leading up to that point, beginning with the car ride: “Well we finally made it to Mexico, and yes, Ramona is with us!…I was personally ready to get in the car, have a quiet ride to the house, have a welcome drink, and go to the beach. But alas, that never happens, does it? The ride involved Sonja going on about a mistaken picture of someone’s private parts sent by mistake, and a game of kill, marry, and, well, you know the rest. As you can see by my actions, I had very little interest in either. By the way, who gets a penis picture by mistake?” Well, Sonja does. That’s who!
Feeling “blessed” to stay in the gorgeous house that Bethenny arranged, Dorinda expresses shock at Ramona and Sonja’s almost instantaneous room antics. She comments in her blog, “With all this beauty around us and the fact that Ramona made the trip by the hair of her chinny chin chin, you wouldn’t believe that the old game of room grabbing would not possibly happen, and yet it did in its worst fashion ever. Bethenny tried to quell the situation by doing a lottery. Seems fair, right? Well Ramona and Sonja not only received the last two numbers, but they also decided to ignore all rules and rampage through the house marking their territory.”
Dorinda continues, “They first tried to take our host’s room (Bethenny) who, by the way, was sick with a fever and chills, and when that failed, they attempted to bully me out of my room. Well I did it in Vermont, and I ain’t doing it again. What do you think that is all about? It’s both the worst behavior and extremely uncomfortable, don’t you think?”
Yes, it is the worst. But unexpected from these two? Nah. They live for these horrific moments! (Especially Ramona, whose chemically-peeled face seems to have given her insanity-superpower a hefty jolt.)
At least Dorinda got to miss out on the dinner drama later, although she did get to attack Carole Radziwill with a balloon first! “After that disaster was over, I managed to secure a great room sharing a bathroom with Carole (hooray). Did you like the balloon game? Not sure my roomie did,” she jokes.
“Well I had a few welcome cocktails and proceeded to go to bed for the night. Little did I know I was going to miss an epic first dinner. Tinsley [Mortimer] found her voice (good girl), and Luann [de Lesseps] managed to fall comfortably in a bush and then again off the steps. Thank goodness she was so fluid, and I mean fluid—she did not hurt a thing.”
But will Dorinda be rejoining the madness this week? Drunk Lu can’t keep this slapstick comedy afloat all by herself! Dorinda promises that, yes, she will arise from her nap ready to bravely slur her way through many a meal ahead!
“I may have missed the first dinner, but as you can expect, I will be around for the next few! Until next week, Viva Mexico!”
Well, all I have to say to that is CLIIIIIIIIIIP! I can’t wait.
TELL US: WAS RAMONA AND SONJA’S ROOM-GRABBING BEHAVIOR SHOCKING, OR PAR FOR THE COURSE? DO YOU HOPE WE SEE THE RETURN OF SLUR-INDA IN MEXICO?

Lydia McLaughlin Describes Shannon Beador’s Reaction To Kelly Dodd As “Jarring”
That last Real Housewives of Orange County episode was epic. Shannon Beador and Kelly Dodd going at it in the restaurant was a shit show and a half. The part that is so strange to me though is that Lydia McLaughlin is actually the one who invited Kelly to the restaurant, yet Shannon is mad at Kelly for “ambushing” her. Lydia could have/should have given Shannon a heads up about the invite.
Now Lydia is playing the innocent card (yet again) wondering why Shannon went off on Kelly for innocently walking into the bathroom and why Kelly took it way too far by telling her to “keep eating.”
In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish Lydia shared, “I said the only time I met Shannon was at the party where she’s yelling at me and runs away. And then I meet her again, and she’s yelling at Kelly and in the bathroom and just the sight of her, I felt like she was gonna have a heart attack.” Kelly is an extremely polarizing character who has admittedly gone out of her way to push buttons, but in this instance, all she did was walk into the bathroom- at least at that point- after that she totally went off the rails.
Lydia continued, “I don’t know how else to describe it. It was very jarring… I don’t understand her reaction.” No one does. Considering the fact that they were filming the season, I figured that Shannon should expect Kelly to show up at any point.
Lydia also compared her reaction to new girl’s Peggy Sulahian’s: “Peggy seems unfazed by it, though. I remember, in person, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ freaking out [and] crying. And she’s like, ‘The steak was delicious.’ And I’m like, ‘Wait? What?’ I’m confused by you. That actually was my plate of food that got thrown.” Why was Lydia crying? She just met these people? It had nothing to do with her. No one even put it together that Lydia was the reason Kelly was there. Other than missing out at her dinner- which she could have just ate after Shannon’s freak out, Lydia has nothing to be upset about. In fact she helped instigate great television without even getting her hands dirty.

Big Brother 19 Week 4 Power Ranking–Is Raven Ruling the Game?
Yet another week in the Big Brother 19 house has left: it hasn’t been without lots of drama and shifting dynamics. We’ve had the Big Brother 2017 Battle Back and a power shift, though not as much has really changed as it appears. Those in power have certainly not used their power to it’s full potential.
Without further ado, here are the Big Brother 19 power rankings for week four:
13. Ramses – Poor Ramses has sort of been the person left out of the alliances and gameplay this whole time. You would have expected Jessica to have bigger fish to fry, and she does, but she made the mistake of nominating Ramses as a pawn. And the problem is, he really has nobody. Ramses has never been able to get his footing in this Big Brother 19 game. So unless there is a major shift, he will be exiting the Big Brother house on Thursday.
12. Cody – Cody has returned but really has nothing to show for it, well other than his rejuvinated showmance with Jessica. They all want him out, again. The only thing that could save him is Jessica’s Halting Hex being played. Of course, there’s always Power of Veto, if he was to be nomnated, but of course they will plan to backdoor Cody. I’d say that he’ll get chances to find his footing again, but we know that he will just isolate himself with Jessica in one room or another.
11. Mark – Mark has really taken a plunge this past week. Many of the houseguests on Paul’s side have not been happy with his behavior, and his sort of rekindled relationship with Cody and Jessica. It’s been mentioned that Mark has not treated Josh and Ramses very nicely, and the word bully has even been thrown around. Conversations mentioning him as a potential target are starting to increase by the minute. Just last night, Christmas, Matt, and Raven have all said the Mark was a bad person. It’s not looking good for him, but luckily for Mark, they do not see him as a social or strategic threat.
10. Jessica – Her stock was rising a bit last week, but with Cody’s return, it’s all gone south once again. Jessica doesn’t have time to socialize with Cody around; she is too attached to his hip. I would say that being downstairs next week might help, but it didn’t last time. Cody returning was the worst thing for her game, but he will almost always be a target before her. But Jessica has shown this week that she’s a good competitor, which is worth mentioning.
09. Josh – While Josh somewhat expendable to most of the Big Brother 19 houseguests, Christmas and Paul in particular are interested in keeping him around for the long haul. He’ll probably be nominated more by the other side, and even as a pawn, but there will likely always be a bigger target. Josh played into the isolation thing this week to fool the other side, but he’ll surely make himself known after he stays. Josh will likely continue to antagonize Cody and Jessica.
08. Elena – Elena was in such a good spot last week but spending more time with Mark, and Paul leaving her out in the cold this week, has compromised her spot. I think her association with Cody and Jessica is also hurting her. Many of the other players have noticed that she’s a triple threat in this game. Elena is more of an immediate concern than Cody or Mark. But she’s charming and personable, so I think her longevity in this game depends on how she reacts to Thursday’s blindside.
07. Kevin – Everyone adores Kevin, but there is still some shadiness with his hinky votes–sort of–being public knowledge, and him having a lot of information on various houseguests. That said, I think a weird set of circumstances would have to unfold for him to find himself in danger. Alex is wary of Kevin, but she knows Jason and her need him for the time being. He has been getting closer to Christmas as well, which will probably work out well. Kevin is flexible in this game and that’s what is going to keep him around.
06. Jason – Jason has been somewhat quieter this week but there are still quite a few of houseguests that feel uneasy about him. The good thing for him is that other targets are becoming prominent, and Jason can probably hide in the background for a few weeks, especially after this Thursday. Paul and Christmas will take aim at Jess, Cody, Mark and Elena way before Jason. Sometimes he just can’t keep his mouth shut about his paranoid thoughts. This is going to bite Jason sooner or later.
05. Christmas – Christmas has done a good job of building up relationships, getting closer with Josh, Kevin, and even Matt and Raven this week. Mark is now on her radar. This is good because he has always been weirdly aggressive towards her. Christmas’ name is still brought up from time to time, possibly due to her foot, but she is getting herself a pretty tight-nit group of allies. I expect that Paul will be a target ahead of her, especially with her being (sort of) honest about her vote this week with the other side.
04. Matt – Matt’s name was coming up more last week from people like Jason, Josh, and Alex, but they all sort of like him now. With the shifting dynamics, I think Matt would have the most to worry about if Mark won Head of Household, as he’s hinted that he didn’t like how Matt and Raven were playing the game. Matt could still be a target for some people, but his laid-back personality will almost always ensure that someone else’s name will be mentioned for nomination before him.
03. Alex – It’s incedible how Alex has gone from the house target to someone that only Jessica is really after, and she can’t even play for Head of Household next week. Alex is well-integrated into the house. People even forget her competitive prowesss. And if Jason continues to run his mouth and make mistakes, Alex will not be the first of the two of them to be targeted. Alex is sometimes a little too honest, but it’s working for her right now just fine.
02. Paul – As much as it pains me to put Paul this high, it’s probably true. Don’t get me wrong, some of them (including his own allies) see what Paul is doing, but they are okay with it. They don’t want to take a shot now. If the other side wins, things could get sticky for Paul. However, on the block against most houseguests, Paul should survive. He has been smart about his social game, but I expect that not including Elena on the Ramses vote might be something that he ends up regretting, because she was very solidly in his corner.
01. Raven – Some of them don’t really care for Raven, but the fact of the matter is that she’s safe. They all see her as a good pawn option because Raven would not get voted out. I think things could shift but she is going to continue to fade into the background while bigger targets present themself. And that’s a perfectly valid way to play the game, just not a very exciting one.

Kelly Dodd already admitted on Watch What Happens Live that she had zero regrets about her behavior at The Quiet Woman. The Real Housewives of Orange County star elaborates on her thoughts over the episode in her newest blog entry.
She shares a bit of background on how the night unraveled, “Before I jump fully into the Shannon-igans at The Quiet Woman, I want to explain something…as you saw, Lydia actually invited me to dinner when she was riding in Peggy’s Ferrari. I thought Tamra was going to dinner, but I wasn’t sure about Shannon. Regardless, I had to decline because my dear friend had family visiting from Philadelphia and they invited Michael and me for a sunset cruise on Newport Harbor. That’s where I was when Lydia called – enjoying a beautiful day with close friends on the water, sharing some great wine and hors d’oeuvers.”
Kelly explains further how she ended up at TQW, “Once we got off the boat my friends still wanted to hang out. Our village is quaint, but it’s not the most happening place late night. Since most of the restaurants shut down their kitchens early, the locals usually gravitate to, you guessed it, The Quiet Woman. As I said, it’s close to my house and it’s my jam. So, that’s where we decided to go. As I walked in, I was pretty sure Lydia’s dinner party would have ended and the ladies would be gone.”
“After being on a boat all day, my bladder was bursting. My first stop was the ladies room. As Murphy’s Law would have it, I run into Shannon, who is already there, in the bathroom. Un-freaking-believable. We had not spoken for months, not since the reunion. The wounds were not fresh, but they were still there.”
Kelly ponders whether she and Shannon Beador have such a strong dislike of one another because they are too alike! “Shannon and I have never really gotten along, as evidenced by our argument at the ’70s party, our screaming match on the bus ride to the airport in Dublin, or our contentious exchanges during the reunion. As much as we might try, we just can’t seem to bond. Which, as an aside, confuses Michael, because he thinks that if we hadn’t gotten off to such a bad start, we would otherwise naturally be great friends. Perhaps we are too much alike? Obviously, we are both very “expressive.””
She continues, “I think Shannon and I both have the attitude that, if you hit me, I’m going to hit you back harder. While I still have that tendency, now, I much prefer pushing Shannon’s buttons and then stand back to watch the show. As I said, it’s the Shannon coaster and I can make her go of the rails! Everybody likes to watch a good crash, so long as no one gets hurt. Thanks Shannon for letting me go pee first. Thanks Lydia for your prayers.”
Kelly does support Shannon’s exclamation that the plate of food wasn’t hers, “When I joined the ladies at the table it was not my intention to get into an argument with anyone. I am sure Shannon felt the same way when she sat down. By the way, if you notice, I took Tamra’s place at the table, which left Shannon a seat opposite me. So, that really wasn’t her plate she threw down. That really wasn’t her half-eaten steak.”
Kelly admits that she thought Shannon‘s reaction was hysterical. “After Shannon dropped a barrage of F-bombs, combined with some not-so-subtle hand gestures, Shannon told me to leave “her” table. I gladly obliged “my darling,” but not before making one last below-the-belt comeback. Here’s some advice: Don’t point out your weakness, then attack me, because I may use it against you. Wow, she was pissed!! I know Shannon has been dealing with a lot lately, but I thought that, in this case, she lost all perspective. She went off the rails. All I could do was laugh my ass off. I’m sorry, but I thought her reaction was hysterical. Way, way over the top. I have to admit that I love bringing out Shannon’s expressive side.”
Kelly has made the decision to just let everything roll off from now on. “I decided I am not getting upset anymore when Shannon gets mad and goes off on me. That’s why, when Lydia and Peggy were standing out in front of the restaurant, feeling totally embarrassed, I was making bubble faces against the front door glass. Lighten up, girls. Finally, Tamra, if I am so angry, why am I laughing, instead of name-calling?”

Big Brother 19: Week Four Alliance Updates – Power Shifts 7/25/2017
One can never underestimate the changes that can occur inside the Big Brother house in just a few days. The Battle Back Showdown has led to a complete shift in power in the Big Brother 19 game, but shifts in power don’t necessarily result in shifts in control. Once Cody Nickson fought his way back into the house, realigned with Jessica Graf, and Jessica won Head of Household and the Power of Veto competition, the Big Brother house was bound to be shaken up a bit.
Mere minutes after Jessica and Cody settled into their new HOH digs, Mark Jansen and Elena Davies came rushing to their side. Mark made no qualms about pledging his loyalty to Cody again, while Jessica joked that all good bromances have spats and end up back together again…oh please. Although Elena wasn’t quite as vocal pledging her undying love to Jessica and Cody at the time, Jessica has used Elena as a sounding board this week. This indicates there may be some trust forming between the two inside the Big Brother house.
The house is essentially split down the middle, but there are quite a few houseguests playing on both sides in the Big Brother game. On one side you have the “Outsiders” with Alex Ow, Kevin Schlehuber, Josh Martinez, and Jason Dent, minus Ramses Soto who seems to have lost any affiliation this week. The Outsiders could be hit hard this week if they lose Josh to eviction. On the other hand, the Outsiders seem to have definitely gained Paul Abrahamian as a formidable ally.
The other side of the house, which just last week was called the “Team,” is slowly crumbling beneath themselves. This was originally Cody’s dream team that he assimilated during the very first week in the Big Brother house. I predict that players like Mark, Elena, Matt Clines, Raven Walton, and Christmas Abbott will either move over with Cody and Jessica or start working with the other side fairly quickly.
This week, inside the Big Brother house, may just be the tipping point for the remainder of the game. Although Jessica has the utmost power in the game this week, she may not even control the eviction. Paul and others are trying to send a strong message to Cody and Jessica by secretly strategizing to evict Ramses instead of Josh. Jessica has made it very clear to the house that her target is Josh for his continual verbal abuse towards her and Cody.
Jessica had the opportunity to save her game by simply using the POV. If she used the POV to bring down Ramses and replace his nomination with someone like Raven, she could have stopped the other houseguests from planning a blindside. Unfortunately, Jessica doesn’t seem to have the game insight and cunning tenacity to predict the big power moves in the Big Brother game. The live eviction this week should, at the very least, be quite entertaining.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 2 Episode 12 Recap: Swing and a Miss
On Below Deck Mediterranean, the natives are restless. I repeat: the natives are restless. Atomic wedgies are being given, crew alliances are shifting, and primary charter guests are making the Sirocco their own personal swingers club. And just when you think the crew love triangle between Malia White, Adam Glick and Wesley Wiz Walton has possibly come to an end, it rears its ugly head again, all because no one involved in it can let go. Looks like the crew knows a thing or two about swinging.
We resume in Dubrovnik, the scene of Adam giving Wiz an unwarranted wedgie with so much force, that it actually rips Wiz’s underpants. Wiz, of course, is not happy and a small scuffle ensues, with only Hannah Ferrier there to separate them from a full on noogie battle to the death. Of course I can’t blame Wiz for being bright red with anger over having his underwear ripped up his butt – not only is that incredibly uncomfortable (I’m assuming) but ridiculously childish.
Back on the boat, Adam just can’t stop trying to antagonize Wiz further and continues to get in his face. When Wiz walks away, Adam follows, right after he makes a few pit stops to wonder aloud to the rest of the crew as to just why Wes is so upset. Adam finally confronts Wiz on the bridge again and it ends with Adam showing him his butt and Wiz walking away, trying to get the hell of this crazy train he didn’t realize he bought a ticket for.
Adam has no choice but to go and whine to Hannah about what a beautiful person he thought Malia was and how ruined his trust is with her. Up until this charter season, he complains, he has never wanted anything more than he has wanted Malia. Really? I mean, not even running water for that van you live in? To my surprise, Hannah is totally sympathetic and realizes that it’s not Adam’s own immaturity and insecurity to blame for Onion Gate 2017 but in fact Malia and her devilish dick teasing ways that made Adam such a horrible person and chef all along. It’s not that Adam couldn’t cook well or keep onions out of food after the guests specifically request it, it’s that he was just too distracted by Malia that he couldn’t manage anything else! I have no idea how my level-headed favorite is coming to this conclusion, but Hannah is now drinking Adam’s kool aid and they hug it out. Save yourself, Hannah – before you find yourself on the other end of his onion spiting ways!
Everyone else on board is busy picking sides and spoiler alert – it’s not Malia’s. Malia is feeling ganged up on and goes back to her bunk to complain to Christine “Bugsy” Drake, who is willing to listen, but also not very #TeamMalia, since she admits in her talking head that she thinks Malia is a tease with the boys. Bobby Giancola, ever the gossip queen, has to get in on the action and join Malia and Bugsy to talk about it. Malia is on the defense and yells at Bobby that if she wants to bang everyone on the boat, that’s her prerogative. Whoa whoa whoa, please don’t go giving Bobby any renewed hope here.
Max Hagley has had enough of this drama though and yells at Malia for how easily she could have avoided sucking face with everyone and not strung both Wiz and Adam along. I mean, one would think it would be easy but I guess not in the world Malia is living in. You know, the one where you constantly remind everyone of how cute you are but then get mad when they think you are only getting things because of your looks.
The next morning, the awkwardness ensues, and Malia does her best to avoid talking to Adam in the kitchen as he shovels cereal into his mouth with a ladle instead of a proper spoon. You can take the boy out of the van but you can’t take the van out of the boy. While cleaning the deck, Malia thinks she has a friend in Bobby, who agrees that she shouldn’t be called names and doesn’t deserve this treatment. You see, Malia acts all tough but really, words hurt her too because it’s possible to be cute AND have feelings.
But Malia better set all of her feelings aside and get focused on her work because Captain Sandy isn’t happy. Malia and Wiz are working the bow together to drop anchor and Captain Sandy is pissed they aren’t communicating with her. When Wiz goes up to the bridge to find out what happened, Sandy snaps that Malia is too short for her to see her holding up her fingers at Sandy’s request and he needs to find someone who is taller to do it.
The new guests arrive for their one day charter to celebrate their wedding anniversary and boy, did they come to play! They arrive all dressed up and in hats, like they just came from the Kentucky Derby. But the Sirocco is far from Kentucky and these Texans want to make the most of it. Instead of the casual lunch that the crew had in mind, the guests want a formal lunch on the deck, which Hannah asks Bugsy to take lead service on. Naturally, Bugsy is annoyed because she is being asked to do something and thinks everything is Hannah’s job. Too bad Hannah has her hands full with a guest who is demanding she book her flight to Spain, pronto!
Hannah has to delegate and sends Lauren Cohen to actually do something instead of laundry, like unpack one of the guest rooms and take care of one of the guests for the next two hours. Lauren has been talking to Bugsy too much because although we didn’t see her busy with anything else, she has a problem with this too. Hannah busies herself looking up flights and comes up with 13 hours’ worth of travel just to get to Spain. Unacceptable, according to the guest with the unseasonable fur shawl that she busted out just for this trip. She wants to go to somewhere warm and wants a direct flight, dammit! Hannah suggests Malta and the guest seems placated for now.
While things are looking up for Hannah and Adam’s relationship, Adam is getting more and more annoyed at the one person he realizes he should have been directing his anger towards this whole time – Malia. He decides to apologize to Wiz and seeks him out on deck. Wiz doubts the actual sincerity of Adam’s words and only accepts to keep the professional peace. Wiz immediately tells Malia about it and she breathes a sigh of relief, thinking the worst is over. Little does she know, Adam’s resentment for her is only growing under his ratty cooking apron and camouflage hat that he insists on wearing to talk to the guests during their formal dinner.
Speaking of resentment, Lauren has decided her loyalty and friendship with Hannah is not worth the extra work she has to do on board and complains to Bugsy that they are doing most of the workload, while Hannah gets all the credit. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t think Hannah and Lauren were real friends or that the little friendship they had would last, but I didn’t expect Lauren to turn on Hannah over picking up a few extra towels. Isn’t that her job anyway?
The next day, Bobby and Malia are pulling up the anchor and Malia is confused as to why she was made lead deckhand but Sandy is already challenging her. It’s not fair, she whines (as I play the world’s tiniest violin). As they leave port, Malia tries to instruct Bobby on what to do but Bobby refuses her orders since he has done this multiple times and knows a better way. Well, if you think Miss I’m Too Cute To Be Taken Seriously is going to stand for not being taken seriously, then you have another thing coming! Malia accuses Bobby of being competitive and argues with him that he needs to let go of that fact that he didn’t get lead deckhand. Then she proceeds to Malia-splain (that’s when you are brand new at a job and tell others with more experience how to do things in a condescending manner) to Bobby how to get the position of a lead deckhand. She leaves out the part where you suck face with your boss and says it’s by demonstrating leadership, being a team player and not being a dick. To Bobby’s credit, instead of schooling Malia on how the merit world works when you don’t hook up with the person who promoted you or just laughing right in her face, Bobby walks away from the conversation without saying anything else.
The guests depart, presumably to harass their new hotel staff in Malta and swing in a warmer environment, and leave a nice $15K tip. Not bad for a one day charter!
It’s finally time for the crew to have a night off and release some of that tension they’ve been feeling on board. Of course Adam does so by crying to Hannah about how let down he is by Malia. Once again, Hannah sympathizes and seems to enjoy her newfound alliance with someone else who can’t stand Malia. While Bugsy and Malia watch them from afar, annoyed at the new closeness of two people who hated each other a mere 24 hours ago, Hannah misreads this for Malia watching jealously and has the perfect solution – make her even more jealous. Of course, Adam loves the plan and goes along with the hugging for the camera and Hannah hanging all over him while wearing his dirty cammo hat. They go outside to smoke and have another heart to heart and Hannah kisses him on the lips, telling him how happy she is that they met. Then she drunkenly says she is going back to the boat and Adam says he will tuck her in. He then practically runs back inside to tell everyone what he’s doing, especially Malia, who he calls disgusting. Way to play it cool, Adam. Malia looks around helplessly for someone, ANYONE, to give her attention but Wiz is occupied with some woman at the bar and Malia can’t believe she’s being ignored and stomps off to the ship. I guess you shouldn’t put all of your eggs in one two baskets. Bobby might actually have a chance after all.
