Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel is back to his old habit, but this time it isn’t tweet and delete, but Insta and delete, which is obviously not as catchy. This time, Thomas was said to be going after Southern Charm co-star Craig Conover, after Bravo posted a preview of the next Southern Charm episode.
In the video, Craig is alarmed that when his nanny shows up at a polo match with Kensie and Saint, Thomas doesn’t acknowledge their presence to say hello, despite Kensie yelling for “daddy.” Craig suggests that Thomas go over to give her a kiss, but he declines. Craig then asks the others at the polo match if they think it’s odd the way Thomas Ravenel seems to blow off his kids, and there is a comment by Landon that perhaps it’s a southern-northern difference in parenting styles.

But, it’s obvious that Thomas just saw the video preview because early this morning, Thomas decided to put Craig in his place with a six a.m. Instagram rant that was quickly deleted, but not before some Southern Charm fans decided to take a screen shot, and share it elsewhere. It seems that Thomas does not want parenting tips from Craig, and thinks it’s pretty rich that Craig would comment on parenting, considering that he contributed to “Kathryn losing custody of her kids.”
Thomas then continues, saying that Craig is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
“We all knew he was ethically challenged, now we know he’s mentally challenged. He got my vote for the ‘male bimbo of the year award’. There’s nothing but tumbleweed blowing around between his ears. He’d do better to advise Naomi [sic] on how to pass the MBA program or advising JD on running a liquor distillery.”
The comment on being “mentally challenged” seemed particularly odd, coming from Thomas, considering that his brother has Downs Syndrome. It’s also not clear what being a bimbo has to do with parenting advice, considering that all of the male cast members on Southern Charm seem to have fallen under the definition of “himbo” at one time or another.
It’s possible that Thomas is also irked about something Craig said in one of his Bravo quotes about taking the bar, and how the legal wrangling between Thomas and Kathryn is one of the things that inspired his law school thesis after being assigned a topic by his professor.
“I wrote on her topic, but it kind of tied in Thomas [Ravenel] and Kathryn [Dennis]. So I had this couple in the back of my head that I was drawing examples from in my paper, which was funny.”
But it doesn’t sound like Thomas is laughing, as some of his comments were scathing and personal.
Craig also said that after he passes the bar, he can finally offer Kathryn and Thomas advice on how to navigate the legal jungle.
“Well that’s one of the reasons why if I can pass my bar then I’ll legally be allowed to offer advice. But I can at least have conversations with the two of them. But at that point [around the finale last year], they were so heated and there was so much going on around them you didn’t really talk to them.”
But it doesn’t sound like Thomas is interested in any more advice from Craig, thank you very much.
