One of Kandi’s earliest looks immediately showed her to be somebody who knew how to work a red carpet. Of course, it didn’t take a position on RHOA for her to become accustomed to the world of celebrity. Her glittering career precedes her time on television, thanks to her incredible songwriting skills, and of course that stellar vocal range. This glamorous pink dress clings to the body in all of the right places. Kandi proves she knows fashion with this ensemble, completing the look with some simple, but eye-catching heels.

Kandi always turns out a memorable look when she performs. This shot is from 2010, just a couple of days before the new year came around. It may have been over a decade ago, but the outfit itself stands the test of time. The Real Housewives star wore a skin-tight dress that exposed one shoulder, and if you look closely, you can see she wore a silver glove on the same side. Kandi looks as if she was born to be on the stage, and if you’ve ever heard her sing, you know that this is 100% true.

Getting ready to get wed has never looked so good. Many people would look a hot mess at their Bachelorette party, but Kandi knows how to let her hair down and have a good time while maintaining dignity and style. The sparkling, almost snake print dress reflects every light, and the cute party tiara and sash really complete the look. She might not be serving Kenya Moore, Miss USA vibes with that body banner, but she is definitely delivering a memorable fashion moment.

When it came time to finally exchange vows with her man, Kandi had her wonderful Mama Joyce walk her down the aisle. Joyce may not always approve of Kandi’s now-husband Todd Tucker and his decisions, but she was happy to see her daughter beaming with delight on her wedding day. It’s easy to see why. Kandi looks like a million dollars. The wedding dress is unconventional, and the memories will be all the better for it. The glittering detailing is a sight to behold. The feathery bottom half? Sheer perfection. Just incredible.

If you ever need advice on turning out a look, you might be hard-pressed to find someone better to dish it out than Kandi. She once again proved her fashion credentials during a visit to Extra, with a black and white look for the ages. It may have been 2016 when this ensemble was put together, but it stands the test of time. The stripes up top, paired with the floral design at the bottom, combine to make one heck of a garment. The outfit is completed to perfection with those stunning heels. Chef’s kiss.

Performing with Xscape all over again probably wasn’t in anybody’s predictions for Kandi’s future. Still, that is what she did during the 2018 Essence Festival, and the singer-songwriter made sure she looked drop-dead gorgeous when doing so. She exudes sexuality in this outfit while maintaining an air of somebody you wouldn’t want to mess with. Kandi is a boss lady in all aspects of her life, and anybody who can’t see that in the choice of costume on stage must not be seeing straight.

Style and sophistication come easily to Kandi. She is somebody who can give a flirty, sexy look on one day, and then appear as if she has come straight off the set of a Hollywood movie the next. The latter is what she has gone for here, as she appeared on I Can See Your Voice on FOX. The powerhouse singer has never looked more graceful. Kandi’s confidence exudes from her being, and it is easy to see why. She looks good, and it’s hard to imagine she doesn’t know it.

Kandi hosted a private birthday party for herself in Atlanta, back in 2021. When you’re the person everybody is going to be looking at during an event, you know you have to pull out all of the stops to look good. That’s exactly what Kandi did, delivering one of her best looks of all time at the celebrations. The colors of the jumpsuit combine to make a kaleidoscopic fashion moment for the ages. The Real Housewives star doesn’t just look great, she ensures that everybody looking at her feels great, too.

Kandi swapped roles with Bravo’s Andy Cohen when she attended Netflix’s Day Shift screening in Atlanta. She interviewed the likes of Jamie Foxx up on stage and made sure that she was still able to maintain her spotlight despite the wealth of celebrities in attendance. This Louis Vuitton offering is one that will stick in the minds of fans for some time. It’s nothing like anything she has worn before, showing that as the years go by, Kandi’s fashion is evolving at an exciting rate.

Top Memorable Below Deck Pot Stirrers

Bravo has amassed a mighty fine selection of people willing to sacrifice any hopes of inner peace or good Karma. Folks who might have an absence of morality or no f’s left to give. These fine subjects are what we like to call pot-stirrers. They will drive storylines in their direction, and it doesn’t matter how they’re portrayed. Exhibit A: Real Housewives of Orange County and Kelly Dodd.

Thanks to a network devoted to the antics of instigators, they figured why keep all the fun and action on land? Now we have Below Deck and a myriad of spinoffs to entertain viewers during a charter season. And under the veil of hospitality, the instigators will be hiding. Ready and waiting to irritate and annoy and probably become famous as a result.

Here are some memorable Below Deck stirrers of the pot.

Lauren Burchnell / Season 4 / Below Deck

2016 seems like an eternity ago, but Season 4 of Below Deck is hard to forget. Kate Chastain was Chief Stew and Captain Lee Rosbach was driving the vessel. The deck crew had numerous issues and allll of them played out during the season. Lauren Burchnell was a deckhand with a crush on Nico Scholly because we all make mistakes at some point.

Lauren had a penchant for spreading bad info and it negatively impacted the crew. And this crew already had Kelley Johnson who could barely remember to bring keys that operate the yacht’s tender. Nico was allegedly influenced by Lauren’s immature behavior and that didn’t do him any favors after receiving a promotion to Senior Deckhand. Lauren managed to stir the pot all around the boat about Nico’s bump up. But Lauren wasn’t satisfied simply diddling with her team. She fired Kate up too, which no one wants to do. Captain Lee once called her a “one-woman wrecking crew.” Lauren was checked for her gossiping, but no lessons were learned during Season 4.

Lara Flumiani / Season 5 / Below Deck Mediterranean

Lara Flumiani tried to flex and gave up after three episodes on Below Deck Mediterranean. Neither Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier nor the majority of the crew got along with her. Nothing Hannah did improved the circumstance. Captain Sandy Yawn tried to step in but was unsuccessful because Lara exuded what was known as “f— you energy,” making light of severe situations and giving Sandy the icks.

Lara was a master at muttering under her breath about how unsatisfied she was with being treated like someone who was supposed to help take care of the yacht. She never missed a moment to speak to her superiors like they were misbehaving children and refused to take accountability for her lack of discipline. As a result of her inability to handle direction and penchant for directly disobeying orders, Lara departed in the middle of the night. She came back the following morning, to alert Sandy and have her belongings collected. Many members of the crew took a big sigh of relief when Lara and her instigating headed toward the freedom of the land and whoever had to deal with her next.

Georgia Grobler / Season 1 / Below Deck Sailing Yacht

It doesn’t get much messier than blatantly going after someone else’s man. Season 1 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht introduced us to Captain Glenn Shephard and the art of properly sailing at a heel of 90 degrees. Glenn’s crew consisted of two booed-up deckhands and a stew with a wandering eye. Georgia Grobler was a cheeky one with a mind of her own and little care for anyone else’s feelings. Paget Berry was the first mate and his longtime girlfriend Ciara Duggan was also aboard as one of his team.

Georgia very obviously developed a crush on Paget and his inability to tan. She seemingly had zero respect for Ciara’s feelings and Paget didn’t do a very stand-up job of deterring Georgia’s interests. Ciara either possessed an amazing amount of self-respect or had extensive training on not showing the competition when you sweat. To say she handled Georgia and Paget’s ridiculous flirtations well would be an understatement. Paget and Ciara wound up getting engaged, only to break up shortly thereafter. Ciara definitely dodged a bullet on that one.

Raquel “Rocky” Dakota / Season 3 / Below Deck

Rocky Dakota turned the motor yacht Eros upside down. She also turned the laundry room into a place of sin. But this isn’t about Rocky succumbing to Bosun Eddie Lucas’ tempting her into his own personal love triangle. This is about her general attitude and lack of respect. For some reason, Rocky bonded with a fellow polarizing figure, Chef Leon Walker. Leon was an absolute turd to Chief Stew Kate and Captain Lee wasn’t thrilled with his non-performance. Rocky co-signed Leon’s Kate hate and blamed Kate when Leon was axed.

She stripped to her skivvies and dove off the boat, only to be picked up by a rogue vessel that contacted Lee. Because Leon was gone, Rocky returned and prepared a meal that had the primary guest praying to his porcelain Jesus. If that weren’t enough, she had a breakdown due to the dalliances with Eddie. Then poor, sad Rocky selected certain crew members and shared her big secret. The season finale was an incredibly tense party where Eddie’s shame was displayed and Lee was disgusted with the ordeal. Eddie definitely learned not to stick his spoon in pots that stir.

Malia White / Season 5 / Below Deck Mediterranean

Ah, Season 5 of Below Deck Med is a dark one. We had high expectations on the high seas because the high-ranking members on board all happened to be women. People had visions of breaking the glass ceiling, but this season only broke our hearts. Chief Stew Hannah was never a fan favorite, but what happened to her brought even the most fierce Hannah haters to her defense.

Malia White came in as Bosun. Under the authority of Captain Sandy, the dream team turned out to be a complete dud. Basically, Malia took it upon herself to take photos of Hannah’s Rx anxiety medication. She then sent those photos to Captain Sandy under the guise of her total commitment to Maritime Law. Hannah was humiliated and fired, but Malia wasn’t done. After she took care of Chief Stew, she went after Chef Kikko Loran. She stroked Sandy’s disgust towards Kikko’s kooking so her whiny British mess of a boyfriend could come in and take his place. Malia has come a long way from this dirty season but some fans have been unable to forgive her and move on. They’re still waiting on #justiceforkikko.

It’s been a rough past season of Real Housewives of Miami for Lisa Hochstein. The world watched as her marriage crumbled in front of the cameras. In happier times, Lisa and Lenny’s annual Halloween balls were the talk of the town for all of the right reasons. Anybody trying to outdo Lisa and her fashion sense would be green with envy when they saw this outfit. Making a fashion moment no matter where you go is a tough job, but somebody has to do it. We are thankful that Lisa has stepped up to the plate. The emerald green of this dress combines beautifully with the choice of watch, with its matching strap and bold pink face. Those heels are more simple than many would have chosen to complete the look, but they work. Lisa is a fashion genius. It has to be said.

Who can forget her recent battle over mortgages with fellow cast member Larsa Pippen? Perhaps Lisa could have worn this outfit during those tense exchanges. Las Vegas is calling! Lisa went all out in gold for a “Casino Royale” themed fundraiser in aid of the No More Tears Foundation in Miami. She looks like a Vegas showgirl, shimmering in front of the paparazzi cameras and unafraid to show the world exactly who’s boss. The mind boggles as to exactly how Lenny was apparently looking elsewhere during his marriage to Lisa. This is a woman that many guys would kill to be with. Sometimes you don’t know how good a thing you’ve got until you’ve lost it.

Top Chef Season 20 Episode 8 Recap: Street Food Fight

The previous episode of Top Chef brought us the joy of getting to know guest judge Gaggan Anand. Gaggan is known as a food rebel in the culinary world and all of the cheftestants were eager to please him. However, the one chef who did not please Gaggan was Dale MacKay. Dale and his flabby chicken mole were banished back to Last Chance Kitchen.

After Dale’s elimination, the chefs were chilling in the stew room when Gaggan surprised everyone and popped in to say hello. While everyone geeked out, Gaggan grabbed a free beer, gave a few high fives, and was on his merry way. The man is a legend. I vote for Gaggan to come back next season as a permanent judge on the show.

Taking It To The Streets

The chefs were still basking in the glow of Gaggan’s positive vibes as they awaited their quickfire challenge. Guest judge Judy Joo stood alongside Padma Lakshmi and they informed the chefs they will be creating various street food dishes from around the world. Padma and Judy dodged out of the way as the chefs hurled towards them to grab a passport of the country they wanted. 

Victoire Gouloubi was last to the board again, but unlike the emoji challenge, she was happy with her choice of Jamaica and jerk chicken. Charbel Hayek loves Japan but has never heard of takoyaki before. Sara Bradley informed him it’s just fried balls of octopus and a little light went off in Charbel’s head to make a fritter. Tom Goetter picked India and made bhel puri. At this point, I think Tom likes to self-sabotage because it’s almost a sure bet you are in the bottom if you cook Indian food for Padma.

However, it was Sara, Charbel, and Nicole Gomes at the bottom of the challenge. Nicole’s bubble waffle was too heavy, and Charbel’s takoyaki dish was nothing like the original. Sara’s empanadas didn’t have enough filling and Padma thought her dough had too much butter. Sara is from Kentucky and butter reigns supreme in the South, so I think Sara should have gotten a pass. At the top were Buddha Lo for his Vietnamese crepe, Gabriel Rodriguez with his chicken and parsnip poutine, and Tom with a fresh and balanced bhel puri. Buddha won the challenge, but Tom is really the winner in my book for breaking the curse. 

Fast And Furious Mise En Place

Next up, the chefs were tasked with their elimination challenge. Via a video message, actor Vin Diesel gave a sneak peak of the new Fast X film. Victoire proudly announced she’d seen all the movies. Same, Victoire, same. Padma told the chefs they will be competing in a mise en place race, and they will have to cook dishes made from their mise ingredients. The chefs were freaked out but it could have been so much worse. They could have had to chop vegetables and break down a whole chicken in the back of a pickup truck as it hurled out of an airplane and into a fiery volcano. Now that would have been a Fast and Furious inspired challenge. 

The group was broken up into various teams to compete against one another. The red team had Nicole, Buddha, and Victoire. And the yellow team had Ali Ghzawi, Tom, and Gabriel. Tom was happy with the team as they are known as the fast ones. We all know Gabriel can zoom his way around a kitchen. Wrapping it up was the green team with Sara, Amar Santana, and Charbel. Padma gave the good news that the winners will go to the premiere of Fast X. Buddha noted they needed to win for Victoire. Now that is a good teammate!

On Your Marks, Get Set, Brunoise!

Padma, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, and Top Chef Canada judge David Zilber were on stand-by to monitor the race. I would have preferred Jason Statham as a judge. In round one the chefs had to fan avocados, supreme oranges, and filet a hamachi. In round two they had to dice cactus pears, clean and devein shrimp, and shell peas. For the third round they pitted dates, brunoised red bell peppers, and frenched racks of lamb. The red team won the first two rounds and picked the proteins as their ingredients. This caused the yellow team to end up with all vegetables, and the green team with lamb and two fruits.

The second part of the challenge was for each team to cook dishes with their chosen ingredients in thirty minutes. Is this Top Chef or Chopped? Gabriel decided to make the avocado the star of his dish, and Tom roasted red peppers. Buddha made a cake with dates and was happy to take the risk of cooking a cake in thirty minutes as he had immunity. Nicole was worried her sweet potatoes wouldn’t roast in time for her shrimp dish. Everyone on the green team used lamb but then enhanced their dishes with fruits.

Thirty Minutes Or Less

The teams completed their thirty-minute challenge and served their dishes to the judges. The yellow team went first. Tom served a roasted red pepper with smoked bell pepper, hazelnut puree, chorizo gremolata, feta, and pickled veggies. Ali made smashed peas with basil, mint, and spiced potatoes. Gabriel made charred avocado with red pepper and bacon. Despite having limited proteins, their veggie-forward dishes looked delicious. The judges seemed to agree as well.

The red team went next. Nicole served tempura prawns and Thai coconut curry with roasted sweet potato. Victoire made hamachi tartare with colatura di alici dressing, lemon and dates. Buddha served a date cake with miso caramel, whipped cream, and pecan praline. David noted those were three solid dishes as well. The green team had a hard act to follow. Sara served a dukkah-crusted lamb with honey and tahini, burnt orange yogurt, and orange gremolata. Charbel made lamb with carrot dijonnaise puree and roasted carrots, and Amar made harissa grilled lamb, orange and sweet potato with jalapeño, and prickly pear gastrique.  

From The Botton To The Top

Those gorgeous veggie dishes stole the show and the yellow team was the winner of the challenge. Tom, Ali, and Gabriel all won tickets to the Fast X premiere. Sorry, Victoire. The overall winner though was…Tom! Tom was on the bottom last episode for his broken mousse, but now he’s back on top where he belongs. 

Unsurprisingly, the green team was at the bottom. The judges liked Sara’s dish because she featured the orange as well as the lamb. But Amar and Charbel only focused on the lamb, so one of them had to go home. And that someone was Charbel. Once David said those carrots were stuck in his teeth I had a feeling Charbel would be out. The next episode brings the infamous restaurant wars, so grab your popcorn and get ready!
