Dance Moms Recap: Mini-Ons
Tonight’s Dance Moms was filled with mini meltdowns and mega drama. The ALDC mothers are concerned because Abby Lee Miller is introducing a new, younger team to replace their girls. She barely has time as it is to coach her competition team, and now these little ones are going to eat up even more of Abby’s time. Abby can’t be bothered with their fears…she needs to find her next Maddie, and the way the ALDC performed at last week’s competition has her convinced it’s the best decision. Her girls didn’t have one first place finish!
Kendall is on the bottom of the pyramid for not being able to express emotions through her facial expressions. She’s tired of Kendall just being pretty…not to mention, Kendall placed third in her solo division. Nia and MacKenzie round out the bottom…they both have super successful videos and songs on iTunes, yet they can’t snag a win. Brynn takes the third spot from the top for being middle-of-the-road, and JoJo is excited to be second with Abby praising her stand-out performance in the group routine. Kalani takes her rightful spot at the top of the pyramid for rocking the group dance…and becoming a big sister. Kira and her baby brother are healthy and happy. Kendall is given the promised solo for having the highest individual score, and Jessalyn reminds Abby about Kendall’s make-up breakdown. JoJo gets the second solo, but she’s going to have to give up the bow for her dark hip-hop number. The girls cheer when they learn that the group routine will also be hip-hop, and Abby brings in their choreographers. She’ll be too busy working with her minis.

Lifetime introduces us to the moms of the minis and these women are vying for Abby’s attention something fierce. The veteran mothers can’t decide if Abby’s latest distraction will work to their benefit or detriment. Jill grills the girls about their feelings on the minis. She personally finds them to be adorably distracting. The other hens cluck about how difficult it is for the ALDC to win a group number with a hip-hop routine, but Abby surprises them with three boys who she claims will be her secret weapon. As Kendall works on her routine, Abby informs the mothers that Brynn will learn Kendall’s solo (and Nia will learn JoJo’s). Abby wonders aloud what will happen if the understudies are better? Brynn’s mom takes the bait and starts needling Jill. Holly interrupts to remind the women that Abby is purposely trying to get under their skin.
At every turn, Abby tells anyone who will listen that Kendall is too closed off with her dancing. Jill takes offense to Brynn dancing in front of Kendall while they practice. Brynn’s mother Ashlee interjects, saying that Abby is in the studio and she would tell Brynn to move if she saw a problem. Being the queen of blowing things out of proportion, Jill starts screaming that if Brynn had a brain, she’d know to dance at the back like Nia is doing with JoJo. Ashlee storms off to complain to Abby, and when Brynn leaves the studio, Jill starts yelling (well, heatedly speaking) at the poor girl. She explains that as the new kid, she needs to learn her place and not dance in front of Kendall. When Brynn politely tries to defend herself, Jill chastises her about talking back to adults. Her tirade has both Brynn and MacKenzie in tears.
The following day, Abby is focused on her minis and the veteran moms are focused on giving dagger eyes to the distracting minis. When a six-year-old has a meltdown, her mother allows her to leave, but Abby follows them out to sweet talk the little girl. Minis are high-maintenance, and Abby is happy to take the crier under her wing. Jill snidely remarks that if Ashlee thinks Abby loves Brynn, she’s wrong…she loves that crier ten times more. Ashlee again tries to cajole a much deserved apology out of Jill, but Jill stands firm that Brynn was in Kendall’s way. Jill wants Abby to remember Kendall is part of the team who made the ALDC brand. Brynn? Not so much. Geez, Jill! Take a chill pill, or some champs and Xanax, at least!
The day of the competition, Jill is still harping on Brynn’s mirror hogging ways and JoJo’s crazy stage make-up…it’s clearly a slap in the face to Kendall crying about her latex make-up last week. Well, duh. Ashlee is still hoping for a sincere apology, and while Jessalyn stirs the pot, she and Jill have an awkward apology exchange. Thankfully, it’s brought to a halt by JoJo’s terrifying solo make-up. Of course, JoJo’s zombie face is interrupted by a call from Abby’s attorney wielding bad legal news. Abby is crying backstage and misses Kendall’s solo routine. Before Kendall can take the stage, Abby peels out of the parking lot and Jill sets up a scenario to blame Brynn in the event that Kendall loses. Brynn was, after all, dancing in front of her in rehearsal. Kendall’s dance is cute and upbeat and sassy, but she barely changes her expression. Technically, she is great, but her face is blank until she remembers to punctuate a move with a smile. On the other hand, JoJo absolutely kills her solo…or I should say it kills her. It’s one of her most impressive dances to date.
To quote Holly when it comes to the hip-hop routine, the girls “nailed it.” I wasn’t quite sure if the boys were the secret weapons Abby had described, but it’s a fun and energetic number. JoJo totally stole the show, but she gets robbed in the pre-teen solo division when her number places second. Kendall somehow wins first place in her division, and I think Jill may be a bit peeved that she can’t blame Brynn for Kendall’s downfall. Instead, Jill complains that Abby didn’t get to see Kendall take the top spot. The ALDC wins the deserved top spot in the group routine. Melissa finds a backstage experience sans Abby to be relaxing, and Holly knows regardless, things are about to get interesting.

New RHOBH Star Kathryn Edwards Warns Of Drama With Kyle Richards And Faye Resnick!
Tonight on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills we’ll finally meet the other new Housewife Kathryn Edwards. And she has quite the history connected to some of these gals. I’m looking at YOU Kyle Richards!
Kathryn joined the show thanks to Lisa Rinna, who she’s known for years. Lisa enticed Kathryn by selling Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills as “an adventure.” That’s one way of looking at it…
“I’m a competitive person by nature and I don’t like to lose arguments so for me I’m kind of like a fight-til-the-death type person,” Kathryn warned. “I hope that I can keep my cool!”

Other than Lipsa, she also knew Yolanda Foster before signing on. Kathryn totally supports Yolanda’s battle with Lyme Disease. “I’m not in any type of agreement with questioning her illness,” she asserts. “I know that Lyme disease is a serious thing and my step-dad has it … And I have other friends that have it so I’m very well aware.”
So how did Kathryn get along with the other ladies? She “instantly liked” Eileen Davidson. As for the rest of them, “for the most part everyone was pretty welcoming. A few of them were a little curious,” she tells OK! Magazine. A little curious about Kathryn’s history with Kyle’s and her friend Faye Resnick. Kathryn admits to being “a little trepidatious about Kyle” because of that.
Naturally Faye will be reappearing this season, scuttling out from behind whatever horrible IKEA cabinet she’s designing a room with, to confront Kathryn. Prior to Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, Kathryn confesses she’d never met Faye, who nonetheless trashed her over the Nicole Brown Simpson murder. “I just wanted to make sure when I did meet her I let her know that I didn’t appreciate it.” Interesting correlation to all this becoming a storyline right about the time the OJ miniseries airs.
Kathryn will also be introducing us to her unconventional marriage to former NFL player Donnie Edwards, who is 9 years younger than her. She’s not worried about what the other women will think after watching them judge Erika Girardi‘s marriage to a much-older man. “I think it’s a lot easier to look at my husband and say ‘Well, of course,’ rather than Erika’s husband and say ‘Huh?’” Kathryn joked.
Tonight the ladies start things out in the Hamptons where they are forced to endure more of Bethenny. At their final dinner Eileen shares a shocking secret from her past.
Erika jets off to Ohio pick up Yolanda in her private jet. Meanwhile Kyle opens up to Faye about her issues with Kim. And finally Lipsa runs into an ‘old friend’ of her own and introduces Kathryn to the group. And Kathryn reveals her surprising connecting to Faye and Kyle!

RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey Talks About Former BFF NeNe Leakes Playfully Giving Her Hard Time On Show
Well it’s bottle popping time! The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Cynthia Bailey and the show’s alum, NeNe Leakes have mended their broken friendship and are now in a better place, or so it seems. On Sunday night’s RHOA episode, the show’s former “IT” diva, NeNe, appeared on Cynthia’s doorstep in her usual grand fashion and overdone from head-to-toe.
When Ms. Leakes, along with her shiny long blond tresses, skin-fitting designer duds and husband Greg Leakes in tow, rang Cynthia and Peter Thomas’s doorbell, she then greeted them boisterously. During NeNe’s catty commentary for the segment, she proclaims with a beaming oversized toothy grin, “Yes bitches, I am back!” She then gives RHOA co-star Kandi Burruss a dig, then announces to all of her haters, “Pick your faces up off the floor, she’s back,” followed by a quick fingersnap.
The foursome seem genuinely comfy with one another, until Cynthia brings up co-star Kenya Moore’s name into the conversation. Kenya and NeNe were not the best of friends, the mix was downright oil and vinegar. Even though Kenya tried on several occasions to extend an olive branch to NeNe, the attempt was an exercise in futility. Cynthia did not mince words when she informed her former BFF, “Kenya is my girl. Me and Kenya are in a good place.” During Cynthia’s spiel, NeNe maintains a duck’s pout with lips extended out as far as they can go, while pooh-poohing her every word about Kenya with a nasty glance. Meanwhile, Cynthia does try to soften what she had just said about Kenya, after seeing her friend’s displeased expression by stating, “But nothing can ever compare to the friendship of Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes.” During NeNe’s solo commentary, she expresses how there is no one, who could fill her friendship shoes with Cynthia. Cynthia then remarks, how she does not remember why she and NeNe fell out in the first place but then jokingly adds, how she is still in therapy after the relationship dissolved.
Hmmm…truth in jest?
Meanwhile, in Cynthia’s Bravo blog she states, how NeNe’s response to her being friends with Kenya was just a playful one. “I don’t think NeNe was upset about this. I feel she was playfully giving me a hard time about my relationship with Kenya as friends do with one another. NeNe and I have not been friends for a couple of years, and I feel we are both reclaiming our place in each other’s lives. These are two different women and two different relationships. I respect them accordingly. They are both dear to my heart and mean the world to me. My goal is to be the greatest friend I can be to both of them. Keep the three of us in prayer.”
Cynthia needs to increase her therapy sessions!

Report: Real Housewives Of Orange County Banned From Filming In Shannon Beador & Heather Dubrow’s Neighborhood?
Oh my – there is trouble in the upper echelons of Real Housewives Of Orange County real estate. According to reports Shannon Beador and Heather Dubrow will be prevented from filming in their ultra-exclusive Crystal Cove neighborhood!
As you recall Shannon and David’s massive crystal-nebulized, anti-toxin home is in the same ‘hood where Terry and Heather are building their 22,000 square-foot spread. After their first season on the show Shannon and David put their home on the market for a whopping $12.99 million. We could have assumed their decision to sell had something to do with their marital problems and The Affair. After several months with no bites, they dropped the price, then took the home off the market over the holidays.

Now their Crystal Cove enclave is back on the market with the significantly reduced price tag of $10.898 million says the OC Register. But there may be an ulterior motive for Shannon and David’s to sell quickly: Real Housewives Of Orange County may no longer be allowed to film in their neighborhood! Which could also mean big trouble for Heather and Terry’s prospective home.
TamraTattles reports that neighbors have complained about Bravo in the ‘hood and no longer want attention drawn to their uber-exclusive area. The HOA reportedly decided to ban “big production” filming as of January 1, 2016, which means NO BRAVO cameras allowed!
Real Housewives Of Orange County producers are predictably in a tizzy over the news because several scenes were slated to be filmed at Heather and Shannon’s homes in the upcoming season – including Heather and Terry throwing a huge housewarming party in March! Filming is to begin a few weeks, which would have made the unveiling of Heather and Terry’s 22,000 square-foot home the first big event of season 11.
As for what the Dubrows and the Beadors plan to do, the source said they may resort to living in rentals for the season. Heather and Terry are currently renting while awaiting completion of their new house, but Shannon and David would have to up and move their three kids.
Even worse – Terry and Heather may be reduced to showing only ‘home movies’ of the progress on the new house!
This isn’t the first time Bravo has been banned. Several of the Real Housewives Of New York stars were forced to rent properties for filming due to co-op board restrictions. Luann de Lesseps has never shown us her NYC apartment for that reason, although she just moved. Lydia McLaughlin also rented during her sole season on RHOC the show because her neighborhood did not allow commercial filming.
Personally I can’t imagine Bravo will be banned from filming in the neighborhood. Crystal Cove contains massive homes with ample space between them. How intrusive could Bravo cameras really be? Especially if they’re limiting filming to only the wives’ personal properties with no footage of the actually neighborhood. Furthermore, it’s not like the Dubrows or the Beadors are the only rich people throwing parties there!
There must be something else going on here… perhaps after all Shannon’s colonics and mistress meltdowns the neighbors just got embarrassed. #NotAGoodLook
As for Shannon and David dropping the price on their home, I don’t think needing to get out for RHOC has anything to do with it – maybe they just want a fresh start, which could make a great storyline. But maybe no one wants to buy a multi-million dollar home with lemon curses.

Little Women: LA’s Christy McGinity Hospitalized After Brawl With Cast Mates!
Today I was just thinking about how I hope season 4 of Little Women: LA (premiering January 27 on Lifetime) pans out to be a kinder, gentler season than last year’s. Alas, this troubling news item popped up today and crushed those dreams in one fell swoop.
TMZ is reporting that 4-season LWLA cast member, Christy McGinity Gibel was hospitalized with a brain injury after being attacked by two cast mates over the weekend. What the WHAT!? Which cast mates injured Christy is anyone’s guess at this point, and I will refrain from conjecture…for now. But whoever it was did some major damage, apparently, as Christy left the brawl with not one, but TWO brain contusions.

The attack, which occurred at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, CA, this past weekend was so serious that producers of the show took Christy to urgent care. After she couldn’t shake her headache, TMZ reports that Christy then checked herself in to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Christy’s husband, Todd Gibel, said in an interview outside of the hospital that “Christy suffered a trauma to her head” and that while the incident happened a few days ago, she’s still suffering headaches.
“Unfortunately we just found out that these headaches could last for weeks – possibly months,” Todd added. “She thought this was…a bump on the head” and that it would go away. “But it’s not showing any signs of going away,” he says.

A source told TMZ that alcohol was not likely a factor as “the ladies were drinking iced tea,” and viewers of the show also know that Christy has been clean and sober for quite some time now.
Well, alcohol or no alcohol, the bottom line seems to be this: Someone put their hands on someone, and the result ain’t good.
After last season’s HIGH DRAMA surrounding cast mate Briana (Rene’e) Manson’s secret marriage to total d-bag Matt Ericson, and the subsequent 2-part Reunion From Hell, I thought we’d seen some of the worst case scenarios unfold already! But it looks like season 4 finds the cast, which includes Christy, Briana, Tonya Banks, Elena Gant, Jasmine Sorge, and Terra Jole, in more hot water than ever.

Real Housewives of Potomac’s Gizelle Bryant Explains Why She Had to Divorce Cheating Pastor Husband
Gizelle and Jamal, who have three daughters together, were a power couple married for seven years. The former model says that the years she spent with her husband were “blissful,” until she discovered not only had he been unfaithful but had reportedly, fathered an illegitimate child during their union, “I decided I was not going to continue to stay in a relationship in which there was not a major commitment. I’m an old-fashioned girl and if you’re going to commit, commit.”
The now uncoupled pair met when Gizelle, who had graduated from a prestigious black college, landed a job as an events planner at the NAACP. When she and Jamal met, then married in 2002, they enjoyed an enviable lifestyle that meant living the high life, driving Bentleys and possessing all of life’s fancy trimmings. Jamal’s star soon rose and eventually, he became the much sought-after pastor of the Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, Maryland with a congregation of about 10,000 strong.
The televangelist, who already had two children out-of-wedlock before he tied the knot with Gizelle was becoming a topic of conversation among those members of the ‘gospel grapevine.’ Rumors began popping up about affairs, one in particular really got those spiritual tongues wagging when it was rumored, he had gotten a 17-year-old female congregation member pregnant. Jamal later denied the pregnancy rumor in an open letter that appeared in Ebony magazine. But in 2008, Gizelle could no longer deal with the tempest of negativity that surrounded her and her children, so she decided to end the marriage.

The couple now seems to be good these days, Gizelle tells the Daily Mail, and as a matter of fact, she and her once-upon-a-time wandering hubby are now the best of friends and great co-parents. “It was absolutely the worst of times. It was lonely and isolating, however I do have a strong support network of family and friends. I just leaned on them at that time. I’m not one to dwell on anything because I feel like we only have one shot at this thing called life. So I moved on. He moved on. He’s been doing some great things professionally. We were best friends when we got married and he and I are back at that place.”
Gizelle and Jamal will actually share a scene together this season on RHOP and will reportedly discuss their split, so stay tuned…

Kim Fields Says DC Was Wonderful; Defends Traveling Without Nanny!
Despite all appearances to the contrary, Kim Fields insists her trip to DC with the Real Housewives Of Atlanta was a positive experience. As you recall Kim had difficultly wrangling her two sons through Capitol Hill trying to accommodate both congresspeople and nap time!
“Nothing but wonderful things have come from the DC trip!” says Kim who has no regrets about schlepping to the capital without a team in tow!

Explaining her discombobulation in juggling her kids at the capital, Kim insists she usually does have help! “We do have sitters who have travel with me or we get assistance when we get to a city, when we are provided enough lead time to coordinate.”
“There are unfortunately crazies out there,” reminds Kim in her Bravo blog. “I can’t just call anybody.” Co-sign there!
Finally, despite leaving congresswoman Frederica Wilson‘s office in a huff, Kim still praises her for being “engaging, insightful, and passionate” and supports her work. In fact, Kim is currently in Miami (alongside Phaedra Parks) for Frederica’s 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, where Kim and her family were honored.
“So happy to be in Miami with my sons and my mentor @repwilson #FredrickaWilson @5000rolemodels She is a dynamic leader. #livinglegend,” shared Phaedra. Let’s hope Kim left her kids what that trustworthy childcare option this time! Her hair looks fabulous by the way.
Well good to know Kim has no hard feelings about the DC situation. Although I still think given the short-notice of the trip she should have left Quincy, her younger son, at home with his dad and a family member or trustworthy sitter. At the very least she would have spared herself a checking from Sheree Whitfield about how to behave!

Big Brother 18 Premiere Date Announced By CBS
The Big Brother 18 premiere is creeping ever closer and we can’t wait to see what the new season will bring! CBS has announced the next go around of Big Brother USA will kick off on June 22, 2016. No official Big Brother spoilers for the show theme have yet been confirmed, and applications are still currently being accepted.
Despite the fact that no official information has yet been released about Big Brother season 18, the rumors have already started flying about what fans may be in store for this year. Most prominently, the gossip mill has been churning about whether or not this will finally be another true Big Brother All-Stars season.
Various gossip sites have been posting articles about so-called spoilers floating about that this may be an All-Stars season, but we have not hear anything from truly reliable sources about this happening. So, if you are hoping to see a new Big Brother All-Stars season in 2016, don’t get too excited yet. We’ll keep you up to date on all the news as soon as we have more information available.
Meanwhile, if you are wanting to be a part of the Big Brother 18 cast just in case it isn’t going to be a repeat veterans season, then go ahead and get an application in now. The Big Brother casting website is always open, and currently accepting auditions for Summer 2016. In person cattle calls will kick off soon, and we’ll post a schedule for those once they are announced. Note that even in a season where there might actually be an All-Stars cast, CBS will still hold auditions and accept applications anyway.
