All of the cast members are bringing their A game on the current season of Real Housewives of New York– something the Beverly Hills Housewives should take note of. Nevertheless, the true MVP is Luann de Lesseps.
The former countess is the gift that keeps on giving. She has blessed us with so much: a quickie marriage and divorce, culturally insensitive hairstyles, three songs on iTunes (and a Pandora station), her Christmas Eve arrest, a rehab stint, and so much more. On top of that, she has her ups and downs with the rest of the cast. She truly is an all star in this franchise.
During an interview for Bravo’s The Daily Dish podcast, Luann was complimented on her Season 10 tagline: “The most interesting people make the best headlines.” The words are just so on point and the perfect lead-in for this season, but Luann didn’t want that as her tagline. In fact, she didn’t even know it was her tagline.
Luann asked, “Is that what my tag line is? I thought it was ‘From headlines to a headliner, life is a cabaret.’ I think you’re wrong.” The podcast host was not wrong, but Luann said, “What? I did say it twice and then I said I wanted to use the other one.”
Even though Luann infamously bragged about having three songs on iTunes and a Pandora station, she admitted, “When I sang to Bethenny [Frankel] I was horrible. I was wasted.” And it was perfect- at least to me.
Yes, Luann is the hot topic of conversation these days, but it’s definitely been a tough year for her. She was asked, “Who has shown the most support since December?” Surprisingly enough, she shared, “All the girls have been so supportive. I must say they could have been like ‘I told you so’ and all that kind of stuff and they weren’t really.”
Luann added, “I think they knew that I had suffered a lot. Even the Housewives didn’t want to kick a dog when it was down. It was refreshing.”
Luann was pleasantly surprised by the ladies’ reaction to her divorce news, but it doesn’t seem like she wants to run into Tom D’Agostino any time soon. She shared, “I’m friends with my first ex-husband, so hopefully I will get there one day. Well, not really.” So I guess we are done with Real Housewives of New York being all “about Tom.”
What can we expect from the rest of the season? Luann shared, “You’re gonna see me struggle, but I think you’ll be happy for me at the end.”

We’re only 3 episodes into this season of Real Housewives Of New York and already poor Sonja Morgan has found herself the bullseye in the center of a target. No one seems to be more pissed at the former Lady Morgan than Dorinda Medley though!
Dorinda has been playing executioner from the front and sniper from the side by stirring up drama between Sonja, Carole Radziwill and Tinsely Mortimer!
In her Bravo blog Dorinda defends her outburst at Luann de Lesseps‘ brunch because, “it is absolutely ridiculous that Sonja can’t seem to get the difference between divorce and death, but quite frankly, at this point, I just don’t care.”
“I guess Bethenny doesn’t get the difference either, but be assured I will be speaking about my late husband now and forever, cause thats What YOU DO to honor loved ones,” adds Dorinda. “Let’s make a pact: I won’t speak to you about my late husband and you don’t speak to me about divorce, OK? By the way, not sure you caught it, but even Luann as I was leaving agreed with me.”
Moving on to Ramona Singer‘s marathon – or wasn’t it?! – party for Carole, Dorinda shrugs that a good party is a good party – even if everyone got dressed in the dark while drunk! “Ramona made a tremendous effort,” insists Dorinda, “and so did everyone—with their outfits. I loved the fact that people took a chance. And by the way, who cares! It’s the company and event, not the clothes.”
However according to Dorinda the “best part” of the party wasn’t the offending outfits nor the offending guests, but Luann’s faux pas over Dennis! “Luann, with what I believe was complete sincerity and polite dinner talk, totally put her foot in her mouth. It was so tense, and I watched it unfold like a car wreck! Quite frankly, I just wanted to burst out laughing, especially when Bethenny said, ‘T[h]ats the man, Dennis’ followed by ‘You owe him an apology,’ which Luann did. The palpable awkwardness made it hysterical.” I agree – it was an epic moment delivered in a way only the RHONY ladies can.
Now onto the Sonja portion of events – because aren’t there always Sonja issues lately? Dorinda doesn’t regret encouraging Tinsely to confront her former friend. “It heated up fast, and once again Sonja was in the hot seat, followed by the burning check.” Dorinda also explains why she ultimately decided to hear Sonja out – or at least observe Sonja crying about juicing and Gastaad and smoky eye and divorce and anti-depressants and the great giant gaping hole in the center of her soul called ‘reality.’
“I chose to talk to Sonja cause, quite frankly, I’m over it.” (No you’re not). “I just listened to her reasoning, but at the end of the day I agree to disagree,” maintains Dorinda. Who really actually believes that we believe this is the last we’ll hear of this feud!
Of course despite Sonja’s efforts to make peace, by the following day she had reignited the burning checks and balances by calling Ramona a P.O.S. in a novel-length text about the bounds of friendship! “Say it, forget it; write it, regret it,” Dorinda lectures. “I think it really hurt Ramona’s feelings as they have been friends for years. I was hoping Ramona would bring it up at the brunch, but she chose instead to exhibit how she felt by ignoring Sonja completely and changing seats.”
As for Sonja burning through friendships like an $8,000 rent check, Dorinda warns: “Remember, when you point the finger at someone, three fingers are pointing back. I guess in this case it’s me, Tinsley, and Ramona.”

The Good Fight will continue. CBS All Access has renewed the acclaimed legal drama for a third season. More brooches for everyone! "The Good Fight is a perfect example of what we...Is there a reason the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills reunion is three parts? A good portion of last night was more footage of the ladies doing lunch, albeit backstage where they continued talking about each other’s low-level dramas.
As much as I enjoy watching Lisa Vanderpump sitting around in her bathroom eating salad while counseling Dorit Kemsley through perceived slights against Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, it’s evident that this was filler so Bravo could bilk another episode out of the rather lackluster reunion. I’m in the minority, apparently, in not minding that the drama was mostly surface and petty – it’s a nice breather from such heavy seasons about substance abuse and serious family dysfunction (I mean I love that too), but I certainly think they could’ve gotten away with a two-part reunion.
Erika Jayne Ridiculardi continues to be ridiculous. She had total stankface including towards Andy Cohen. And she better mind those P&Q’s (pussies and queens) if she wants to continue boasting that Erika Jayne Enterprises grosses more than $40k/month. Apparently the $40,000/month glam budget doesn’t include migraine medicine – although Erika is friends with Lipsa’s of the magical purse of pills!
Erika got defensive about how expen$$$ive it is to be her, citing people who spend $100k per month. She must be alluding to Kim Kardashian – a fellow offender in the ‘it takes a lot of money to look this cheap’ category. Or maybe John Mellencamp spends $100 on his lifetime monthly glam? His daughter Teddi certainly does not!
It’s totally obvious that Erika has some issue with Teddi in general. I believe the expression we use in the south to refer to behavior like Erika’s is ‘Your slip is showing’ – except in Erika’s case we know she doesn’t wear a slip, or even underwear… Maybe it’s Teddi’s natural beach wave extensions that puts Erika in a funk? Whatever it is Erika even backs Dorit in a nonsensical argument in order to have a go at Teddi.
Again Teddi offers Dorit an [undeserved] apology for tattling to Lisa Rinna about all the awful things Dorit said behind her back, months after the incident. Which prompts Erika to warn Teddi that she’s lucky Lipsa let it go, because her reaction could’ve been “dangerous.” What is Lipsa gonna do – whip out poisoned pills from her purse and start throwing them at Teddi? Jab her with a jazz hand as she’s cackling over her own jokes? Smother her with a QVC duster and a pair of Depends? Force her to endure hours of reading aloud from Rinnavation?
Dorit continues to baffle me with her inability to grasp reality. She is a paragon of delusion, that one. Dorit had one shining moment when, unprovoked, she apologized to Lipsa for all the awful insinuations she and PK made last season. Dorit claims she was so caught up in her own slights during their Vegas make-up that she failed to recognize how Lipsa could’ve been hurt by being labeled a druggie, schizophrenic and a danger to herself and other Housewives. That apology was Dorit’s good deed for the reunion and probably the entire year, because then she got back to totally trying to twist all her incidents with Teddi into being only Teddi’s fault.
Teddi at one point called Dorit out directly for gaslighting, and that is exactly what Dorit does. Albeit ineptly. They rehash Dorit’s lateness, and Teddi again explains that it wasn’t that Dorit was an hour late, but that she then went to Kyle Richards and tried to make Teddi look like an insane person to a new group of friends who didn’t have any other prior knowledge from which to go on. Luckily for Teddi the other women already know Dorit is a crazy person whose actions are totally governed by self-preservation, no matter who gets caught in the cross-hairs of her wonky wigs and they didn’t believe her. But Teddi’s point is a valid one!
Same for the wine glass affront. Dorit maintains her perception that it was TEDDI who made the rosé-in-champagne-boat debacle a huge deal, and was a poor hostess to boot, when of course it was the other way around.
Since Teddi is a human person, despite being named for a stuffed animal, she admits that she was uncomfortable hosting a fancy spa day in her home and in retrospect shouldn’t have tried to be someone she’s not. Which is why she course-corrected with the casual party at her beach house where everyone – even Dorit – had a blast. Everyone but Erika, but that’s cause she’s the fun police.
Dorit pounces on this admission from Teddi as another opportunity to blame Teddi for making her look bad – even as Teddi repeatedly tries to explain that she didn’t care if Dorit wanted to drink wine from the toilet but her HANDLING of the situation was the problem. LVP, like lecturing a small child on how to behave at a birthday party, suggests Dorit listen to everyone alive’s feedback and re-evaluate her behavior.
What Teddi and Dorit had wasn’t a series of miscommunications, as Dorit insists, it was Dorit taking herself too seriously. It was also Dorit who brought it up over and over again until the champagne glass runneth over with name-calling like “psycho” and “a little bitch.” But Dorit doesn’t get it. She’s incapable of getting it. The bobby-pins are not connected to sonar in space which impart reasoning to her alien brain. And Dorit’s subsequent acknowledgement that maybe she was rude had all the sincerity of PK’s job ‘managing’ Boy George.
However Dorit will ride out this victim narrative until the rose gold Bentley drives off a cliff. And she is the lone passenger in this impending car wreck. Backstage, over lunch, she complains to LVP about Teddi’s “holier than thou” attitude and that all the negative things she’s said in the confessionals. LVP, who just wants to enjoy a few Spanx-free moments to eat her salad (and probably sneak some cookies), offhandedly suggests Dorit just mention her feelings. Teddi meanwhile tells Kyle that it’s impossible to penetrate the delusional bubble Dorit encases herself in. Which Kyle agrees with.
The two best parts of the reunion were Camille Grammer coming to the stage wearing the ballgag she gifted to Dorit as a bracelet. Dorit is still upset that Camille made a joke at her expense and just does not get it when everyone explains that she dished it out first by calling Camille a “stupid C-u-next-Tuesday’.
Just when we think this will never be resolved, backstage during a bathroom break, Camille and Dorit have a moment where they talk like two adult women, away from the expectations of yelling and screaming for the sake of television drama, and they mutually apologize for hurting each other’s feelings. The ballgag is now situated in the WWHL Clubhouse for all posterity, probably right next to last year’s Blue Bunny, already suffocated silently in its cellophane bag. #SaveTheBlueBunny
I do love Camille, especially her revelation that Allison DuBois no longer speaks to her after the Dinner Party From Hell, because Allison believed Camille was trying to set her up. LVP is on it with a joke that a real psychic would’ve predicted how that dinner would go… Camille’s other contribution was to brazenly demonstrate that she’s not afraid of Erika when she calls her out on her attitude as flippantly as she tosses her hair. Don’t come for Camille Donatacci Grammer or she swallow you whole like you’re one of Lipsa’s little happy pills!
The bestest part of the reunion, though, was the Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine showdown between LVP and Dorit. Oh it was glorious, accentuated greatly by Lipsa’s accompanying facial expressions to narrate the exchange.
LVP had no qualms about excising Dorit from her magazine, and let this be forewarning that she will also have no qualms about excising Dorit from her life (See: Yolanda Lemon-Lyme Hadid Foster Hadone-and-gone.) LVP, like the multifaceted qualities of her sequined dress, is both a fun-loving boob of a time and a serious business woman, and though she mixes the two admirably, she knows just when and how to deploy each element of her personality. Dorit never saw that head chop coming, and that’s what makes it such a perfect strike to use only the headless photos in the magazine spread.
Also playing both sides of the fence was Kyle who kept piping up to defend each woman interchangeably. Like when she mentions that Nicole Kidman was in Beverly Hills Magazine, and LVP shares that she was MUCH easier to deal with than Dorit! Naturally. Dorit’s behavior at that shoot was appalling, and her subsequent insistence that she should’ve been allowed to reschedule and bring her own glam was also preposterous. It shows not only her arrogance but her complete lack of understanding of how the magazine industry works. Additionally Erika taking Dorit’s side in this was a thinly-veiled attempt to dig at LVP because Erika also knows that’s not how things work.
I say LVP made the right decision in showcasing Dorit sans mouth. Let the diamonds do the talking, dear, because they have so many more inserting things to say. However the question remains was this LVP’s version of a diamond-studded ballgag by exacting revenge for Dorit’s transgressions, or was it purely a practical business decision? I definitely think it’s revenge served cold, in the right glass.

There’s just something about the worlds colliding within this reality TV franchise that will always be intriguing.
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Brandi Glanville, and Real Housewives of Potomac cast member Ashley Darby united to perform at an event called An Evening With the Celebrity Housewives. Clearly, they didn’t have the rights to use the words “Real Housewives” in the title. But anyway, the performance went down at Seneca Niagra Resort and Casino in Niagra Falls, New York and the women shared lots of photos from the stage and behind the scenes.
In an Instagram post that Ashley shared before the women’s performance she described the event: “New York, can you handle this here trio? I am soooo excited to see my babes @teresagiudice and @brandiglanville this weekend @senecacasinos ! It’s going to be a special weekend, as we get to chat with you beauties up close and personal. Baring it all! Grab your tickets and hang out with us.”
The ladies shared photos of their performances and back stage- and they really turned it out with their ensembles.

Blessed be a season three. Hulu has renewed its acclaimed yet horrifying dystopian drama The Handmaid's Tale for a season three, just a few episodes into season two, the streaming...Just like the last season of Real Housewives of New York, this one started out with a Dorinda Medley vs. Sonja Morgan feud. As per usual, pretty much everyone is taking sides, and doing so has lead to several side feuds. Yes, the main problem is between Sonja and Dorinda, but Sonja also took issue with Ramona Singer for not having her back. As a result, Sonja’s girl Luann de Lesseps is also disappointed in Ramona.
Wow. So much feuding resulted from one brunch- and the whole cast wasn’t even present for that initial confrontation.
After discussing everyone’s outfits in a Bravo blog post, Luann wondered, “On a more serious note, why is everyone ganging up on Sonja?”
Lu continued, “She’s entitled to mourn for her marriage any way she chooses. Is it a buzzkill sometimes? Yes. As her friend, I listen and try to steer the conversation to happier topics. Should Ramona have defended Sonja when Dorinda alleged that Sonja cheated on her ex? Again, yes.” But maybe she didn’t defend Sonja because it’s true? Maybe she’s just trying to rehab her image after a rough Season? Or maybe she and Sonja just aren’t the besties they used to be. There are so many possibilities here.
Even though Luann does think that Ramona should have stood up for Sonja, she’s not blindly agreeing with everything Sonja did during the last episode. Luann admitted, “I think the text Sonja sent to Ramona calling her a POS was not the thing to do, but Ramona has NOT been a very good friend to Sonja lately.”
Luann explained, “The friends who stay with you when you are down are the ones you want around during the good times. None of us are immune to life’s pitfalls (#me) and instead of shaming Sonja, I think the girls should let her work through this so that she can come out on the other side. Sonja’s been stuffing her feelings down for so long that it may take her a while to feel happy again, but I know she will!”
She continued, “The Jean-Georges brunch at the Topping Rose was great, and we were supposed to end our weekend on a high note. Instead, Ramona left Sonja staring at an empty chair, which was awkward for everyone. My heart went out to Sonja, because she’s being rejected at a time when she needs her friends the most.”
And of course Luann concluded by plugging one of her own songs: “I won’t abandon her because I understand the #GirlCode! She’s my friend in the good times and the bad.”

All good things must come to end. Luckily for the Vanderpump Rules fans Season 6 will not officially be over until the three-part reunion and the “Secrets Revealed” special airs.
Considering that more drama went down in one episode of this show than entire season of most reality TV shows, the reunion episodes are sure to be explosive.
In an official press release, it was announced that part one will air on May 7, with part two the next week on May 14, and part 3 concluding on May 21. Just for good measure, the “Secrets Revealed” special will air on May 28.
The descriptions for each part of the reunion sound so good that I just wish it was May 7 already. Obviously Jax Taylor cheating on Brittany Cartwright is the biggest story line of the season and I’m sure it will be discussed at length, even though everyone who follows them on social media is very much aware that they are back together.
James Kennedy will have to confront the rumors that he hooked up with his Logan Noh and ex-girlfriend Kristen Doute.
Stassi Schroeder will discuss her relationship with ex-boyfriend Patrick Meagher– the man who made every male in this cast look like a saint just by default.
Lisa Vanderpump, Tom Schwartz, and Tom Sandoval will discuss their bar/restaurant Tom Tom- which didn’t have much real “drama” this season, but this is most likely all for self-promotion anyway. I’m sure Lisa negotiated a certain amount of air time to promote her latest restaurant in her contract.
Scheana Marie will have to defend her Rob-sessed behavior. Ariana Madix will address her body image issues.
Lala Kent will continue arguing with James before “the girls band together to celebrate Lala’s special brand of feminism.” Wow, quite a lot has changed in the past year.
Billie Lee confronts Stassi for referring to Jeremy Madix as “creepy” right after Billie shared that she agreed to go on a date with him.
And of course, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz and Jax and Brittany will discuss the future plans for their relationships. Do Tom and Katie plan on starting a family at some time soon? Are Jax and Brittany going to attempt to shock the viewers by “revealing” they got back together even though everyone has known this for months?
It’s so sad that Season 6 is coming to a close, but it sounds like the upcoming episodes are bound to come through- yet again. This show truly is the gift that keeps on giving.
