Captain Lee Provides Sad Update on Carl Radke Friendship

Captain Lee Rosbach and Carl Radke became friends under very unfortunate circumstances. Both Bravolebrities had lost loved ones to addiction. The Summer House star’s brother, Curtis, passed away in August 2020. And the Below Deck alum tragically buried his son, Joshua, a year prior.

Lee and Carl became close in the fallout of their mourning, and both advocate for sober living. The Summer House star even asked the yachtie to officiate his wedding to Lindsay Hubbard before the nuptials were infamously called off on the Season 8 finale of Summer House.

Initially, Captain Lee was a friend to lean on in the aftermath of the breakup. But what of their friendship now?

Lee said that Carl has “been pretty busy”

The reality TV star is currently promoting his new show on Oxygen called Deadly Waters. And while speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, Captain Lee revealed that he has not spoken to Carl recently.

“No, I haven’t. He’s been pretty busy,” the Stud of the Sea answered.

Meanwhile, Lee followed up on the drama from Summer House, just to understand what really went down between the formerly betrothed couple in the months before their split.

“There’s a couple of [Bravo shows] that I have [kept watching]. I think Summer House because I know Carl and Lindsay [Hubbard] — it is just like, wow,” Lee said of the season finale. “I didn’t see that one coming.”

Summer House fans finally watched the full conversation during which Carl broke up with Lindsay. They had been bickering all season about the reinstated Loverboy employee’s career, and Lindsay’s suspicions that Carl started using again.

Captain Lee found the entire exchange “uncomfortable” to watch this season. He interviewed Carl on his Salty With Captain Lee podcast shortly after the breakup, but that episode never aired. The former Below Deck star only gave cryptic answers as to why that was the case, suggesting that it was Carl’s decision to pull the episode.

Were Nicole Sherbiny and Mahmoud El Sherbiny Removed From 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 8?

Nicole Sherbiny and her husband Mahmoud El Sherbiny have had a tumultuous relationship throughout their time on 90 Day Fiancé. The couple’s journey began on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, when Nicole moved to Egypt to be with Mahmoud. This plan quickly fell apart, as Nicole struggled to adjust to her new lifestyle in Egypt. Nicole eventually decided to return to America, where she filed for a spousal visa for Mahmoud.

The chaotic couple returned for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 8, where Mahmoud finally joined Nicole in America. Despite moving their marriage to a new country, the couple was still met with the same issues from the past. Nicole and Mahmoud’s entire relationship has been a clash of two cultures, with neither party willing to make much compromise.

After a chaotic journey in Season 8, Nicole and Mahmoud are currently rumored to have been removed from the season. While TLC has not yet confirmed this, it seems likely after the way the couple’s most recent segment ended.

Nicole and Mahmoud’s toxic relationship began in Egypt

The problems between Nicole and Mahmoud began long before Happily Ever After? Season 8. Nicole decided to convert to Islam after marrying Mahmoud, as she thought the religion was beautiful. However, Nicole and Mahmoud began to clash when she realized she wasn’t keen on following Islam after all. For instance, Mahmoud wanted Nicole to dress modestly and wear the hijab, which she was not willing to do.

During their time on The Other Way Season 4, Nicole and Mahmoud got into several heated arguments. At one point, one of the pair’s arguments even escalated into a physical fight on camera. Nicole shoved Mahmoud during a fight in the street, which resulted in him grabbing her by the wrist. This was incredibly disturbing, as arguments should never escalate to physical violence, especially on camera.

Things got even worse when Mahmoud moved to America

After Mahmoud moved to Los Angeles, things between him and Nicole only continued to get worse. Nicole saw Mahmoud’s move as a potential way to push her American culture on him, even in ways that would make him uncomfortable. When she picked him up from the airport, Nicole purposefully wore a cropped shirt that she knew would trigger Mahmoud. To no one’s surprise, Mahmoud was unhappy about the shirt and was quiet the whole drive home.

A few days after Mahmoud’s arrival, Nicole invited him out to meet her friends. Mahmoud later declined the invitation after he saw Nicole’s dress for the evening, which had an open back. Nicole brought her friends back to their apartment later that night, where more chaos ensued. After introducing Mahmoud, Nicole decided to confront him about their relationship in front of her friends. This resulted in him walking out, and finding a hotel to spend the night at.

The breaking point for Mahmoud came a few days later when Nicole came home drunk at 2 am. Mahmoud asked to see her phone, and when she declined, he jumped to the conclusion that she was cheating on him. This resulted in Mahmoud claiming he wanted to divorce Nicole, and he left the apartment yet again. Nicole admitted that it would be hard to move on from Mahmoud, but that she would get through it as she finally felt “free” again.

This was the last we saw of Nicole and Mahmoud on Season 8, and it seems their storyline may have wrapped up there. Nicole nor Mahmoud were featured in the preview for the next episode, which also indicates that their story this season may be finished. It is unclear if they will still appear at the Tell All, but it is still a possibility.

Mahmoud was arrested for domestic violence in February

Shortly before Season 8 premiered, Mahmoud was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Viewers have seen both Mahmoud and Nicole get physical with one another onscreen, so this unfortunately didn’t come as much of a surprise.

Mahmoud’s arrest could be another contributing factor in him and Nicole being removed from Season 8, if the rumors are true. It would not be a good look for TLC to keep a physically abusive couple on air when potential charges are pending in real life.
