Best and Worst RHONY Reunion Looks Throughout The Years

The reunion looks for Season 14 of Real Housewives of New York were released on Friday, September 29 and Bravo fans have been buzzing about their favorite (and least favorite) looks. The highly anticipated release has sparked much debate online, mostly surrounding fashion maven Jenna Lyons’ decision to wear blue jeans to the reunion. Can you even believe it?

All this talk about reunion looks has us reminiscing about past RHONY fashion successes and fashion failures, so let’s take a trip down memory lane. Here and the best and worst RHONY reunion looks.

Jill Zarin’s ‘Team Jill’ T-Shirt (Best)

Jenna isn’t the only housewife to go casual for a reunion. In Season 1 of Real Housewives of New York, Jill Zarin wore a t-shirt that read “Team Jill” with black pants. The look was totally tacky but undoubtedly iconic. And she certainly stood out from the other housewives, who all wore cocktail dresses to the event.

Bethenny Frankel’s One-Shoulder Moment (Worst)

Bethenny Frankel‘s Season 3 reunion look wasn’t a home run. Between the puffy one-shoulder dress and the bright shoes, it wasn’t her best look. The Skinny Girl founder still looked great but next to Ramona Singer and Alex McCord‘s simple yet elegant looks, her ensemble seemed a bit out of place.

Sonja Morgan Stuns in Green (Best)

Sonja Morgan looked stunning at the Season 4 RHONY reunion. The socialite kept things pretty simple but it worked from her. From the light make-up to the black high heels, Sonja tied together a great look. Not to mention that the green dress perfectly complimented her complexion.

Heather Thomson’s Lackluster Look (Worst)

Heather Thomson‘s Season 6 dress earned a spot on this list mostly because it felt off-theme. The rest of the cast wore sparkly or metallic looks, whereas Heather went with a more understated look. It’s not horrible but it isn’t as memorable as the other Season 6 dresses. Sorry, Heather.

Luann de Lesseps’ Fashion Faux-pas (Worst)

Luann de Lesseps gave us so many great reunion looks but her Season 7 dress missed the mark. While we admire that she went for a bold look, the metallic dress looked kind of tacky. Sorry, Lu.

Bethenny Frankel’s Princess Moment (Best)

Bethenny looked like a total princess at the Season 10 reunion. The podcast host looked incredible in the floor length star-detailed ballgown paired with a simple necklace and star earrings. She looked beautiful even when she was pulling up text receipts to bury former bestie Carole Radziwill. Iconic.

Bethenny Frankel’s Casual Look (Worst)

There is nothing particularly wrong with this look but it is a little boring. A white top and black pants? Come on, B. As Ramona would say, “Really, Bethenny? Really?”

Tinsley Mortimer’s Blue Moment (Worst)

Tinsley Mortimer knows a thing or two about fashion, but her Season 9 reunion look had us calling the fashion police. Though the Bravo star looked stunning, we didn’t love the dress. It was giving high school pageant.

Luann de Lesseps’ Classy Black Gown (Best)

Luann was at the center of a lot of drama on Season 11, so naturally, she needed a perfect reunion look. And boy, did she deliver. The Countess looked absolutely breathtaking in her strapless black gown and jewels. If we were ranking Luann’s reunion looks, this one might take the cake.

Alex McCord Falls Short (Worst)

Not her best. Alex’s Season 4 reunion look fell short. Between the heavy eye make-up and oddly shaped dress, we just weren’t really feeling it. But if we were rating Alex’s performance at the Season 4 reunion, she would get a 10/10.

Leah McSweeney’s Cool Girl Look (Best)

Leah McSweeney‘s sexy Season 12 reunion look is one for the history books. The streetwear designer wore a sheer black mesh ensemble with fingerless gloves and a sheer black face mask because the reunion was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic. If we didn’t already think Leah was the coolest housewife of all time, her reunion look would’ve convinced us. She killed it.

Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards Not ‘Throwing in the Towel’ Yet

Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards have been on quite the ride for the last few months. In all fairness, they have kept their marriage troubles quieter than other reality TV couples. But the recent Real Housewives of Beverly Hills trailer made it clear that their issues would be front and center to the public soon enough.

The trailer saw Mauricio joking about Kyle’s “affair,” just adding fuel to the rumors among fans and Kyle’s castmates. Viewers also saw Kyle and Mauricio sit down for a teary-eyed discussion with their daughters. It would seem fans will be in for a ride just as much as the couple.

At the very least, Mauricio has appeared to have had a great time on Dancing with the Stars thus far. He’s used some of his on-screen time to discuss the struggles he and Kyle have been going through. Viewers noted how upset Kyle looked in the audience on night one, and further noted her absence on night two. But Mauricio explained it all.

Why did Kyle miss Mo’s DWTS performance?

Page Six got the chance to speak with Mauricio after the October 3 episode of DWTS. Mauricio explained Kyle’s absence: “She was filming her confessionals today, so that’s why she couldn’t be here today.” Of their marriage, Mauricio said, “We’re struggling. We’ve been very open about it. We’re separated [but] we’re not throwing in the towel yet.”

Mauricio assured fans that he and Kyle are “going to try” to work things out and just “see” where everything goes. “When we know what happens to us, you will know what happens to us,” he promised. Despite trying to approach their marital struggles with calmness, that hasn’t stopped others from stirring up drama.

The rumors about an affair between Kyle and Morgan Wade have continued piling up, and Mauricio has defended his wife every time. As recently as two days ago, Mo had to dispel claims that his wife and the singer slept together. Whatever the status of the marriage, at least Mauricio has remained a class act.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on October 25 on Bravo while Dancing with the Stars continues Tuesday nights on ABC.

Brynn Whitfield Reveals Drama in the RHONY Cast Group Text

Things are heating up between the Real Housewives of New York, and not just on-screen. The most recent episode saw a nasty confrontation between Jessel Taank and Sai De Silva. Jessel tried to apologize to Sai for past misunderstandings.

Jessel’s tardiness made Sai feel a little uninclined to accept her apology. Some things are still getting situated in Season 14, but Sai has taken on a pretty clear villain status. And it’s not just Jessel taking the brunt of that villainy. The late August teaser showed Sai losing it on Brynn Whitfield for apparently revealing a secret.

Brynn recently appeared on Lala Kent’s podcast to discuss her life and RHONY. While on the podcast, Brynn didn’t name any names. However, she implied things were getting less and less kind between the newbies each day.

Brynn says the RHONY chat is full of “F*ck you!”

Brynn started by giving some background on the group text between the RHONY castmates. “I think people would prefer if we didn’t have a group text. And the group text has been — the past couple of weeks … There’s been some people that have been, like,” she lost her train of thought, but further prefaced, “The group text has never been bad.”

She continued, “It’s always been … where we band together, we share pictures, we share funny sh*t, but the group text in the past two weeks has been like, ‘F*ck you, you’re a f*cking bitch.” Lala asked, “You guys have seen the whole season now?” Brynn confirmed and told Lala there would be three more episodes plus the two reunion episodes.

No one provided much speculation as to what the group chat would be so inflamed over. One TikTok user commented and opined that the two reunion episodes suggested there would be a lot to unpack from this season. With things recently heating up between Sai and Jessel, one might assume that’s where the contention stems. But it will likely remain a mystery.

Real Housewives of New York continues on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Emily Simpson Slams Now-Deleted Bethenny Frankel TJ Maxx TikTok Video

Lately, everyone’s been trying to take a shot at Bethenny Frankel, and with fair reason. Bethenny recently posted a TikTok where she gifted makeup to a TJ Maxx employee. The makeup was either unused or lightly used and given to Bethenny for review.

Bethenny was slammed for filming the encounter in the first place, then for asserting that the TJ Maxx employee, Consuela, couldn’t afford the makeup. Bethenny has since deleted the TikTok and tried to explain the situation but showed no sign of apologizing.

Since then, many Bravolebrities have come forward to condemn Bethenny, including Emily Simpson. Emily appeared on her Real Housewives of Orange County castmate’s podcast, Two Ts In a Pod, to discuss the makeup debacle.

Emily calls out Bethenny’s “cringey” TJ Maxx encounter

She started by explaining her initial reaction. “It’s so cringey, I couldn’t even watch it. It gave me a stomach ache; I’m not even kidding. It was so bad.” Emily explained that it rubbed her the wrong way how Bethenny would “walk into a public space with a huge bag full of makeup that has been used one time and [tried] to pawn it off on poor Consuela.”

The RHOC star was also put off by Bethenny’s insistence. She “just wouldn’t stop. She was like, ‘No, take it, like, you want it.’ And you can tell the woman didn’t want to have anything to do with it, she didn’t know what was going on. I’m sure she didn’t consent to being on her video. I mean, it was so bad.”

Emily also repeated the sentiment that Bethenny was wrong to try and film the encounter. “Just be a good person, you don’t have to document being a good person.” Ultimately, the backlash came from the ‘holier-than-thou’ attitude that Bethenny exuded — the choice to broadcast her good deed along with the assertion that Consuela couldn’t afford the makeup. Condescending.

Teddi Mellencamp Begins Immunotherapy After Melanoma Diagnosis

Changing treatment tactics. Teddi Mellencamp’s ongoing fight against melanoma started in March 2022 when the reality TV star found a suspicious patch on her skin. Since then, her doctor has diagnosed and removed 12 melanomas in total. She was declared cancer-free in December 2022.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been very transparent about her journey. And despite it being a very emotionally taxing confession, Teddi told followers last month that her doctor diagnosed a further melanoma.

Now, Teddi is sharing the details of her new treatment plan. And there is cause for continued hope.

Teddi described the five-week treatment

On Saturday, Teddi took to social media to update fans and share a picture of her scarred shoulder, the site of the previous melanoma cluster. She will begin a course of immunotherapy cream to enhance her treatment plan.

“Another update I didn’t want to give but in an effort to be fully transparent and help others, here goes… I received the call yesterday from my doctor that not all the margins are clear after my last wide excision surgery,” Teddi wrote.

She added, “Because the area is so broad they no longer feel comfortable cutting. They said I can wait a week so I can show at nationals but upon my return I will start on a 5-week immunotherapy cream.” 

According to the caption in the post, this cream is described as, “an anti-cancer treatment that uses the body’s immune system to attack cancer cells. An immunotherapy cream called imiquimod (Aldara®) is a cream that stimulates the immune system.”

Health-conscious Teddi will be aware and educated on the side effects, which include, “fatigue, inflammation, blisters and some pain.”

The benefits outweigh the side effects. She addressed her followers, “but ya know what, it’s better than the alternative. Stay vigilant on getting your skin checked my friends. We can fight this.”

Teddi concluded her post with the following hashtags: #skincareawareness and #melanomaawareness.
