There’s a new episode of Below Deck Mediterranean on tonight and it seems like everyone is getting a bit of cabin fever at this point in the charter season.
Chef Kiko Lorran struggles through the first day of the charter. At one point, a charter guest tells Captain Sandy Yawn that both the food and the service were “average.” Ouch. As a result, Captain Sandy gives Kiko an ultimatum. He needs to “wow” the charter guest, otherwise, she’s going to find another chef for the yacht. Ouch (again).
Kiko is not the only one on Captain Sandy’s shit list though. She has an issue with Hannah Ferrier (as always). Bugsy Drake and Jessica More get into a heated argument about the radio usage. Jess thinks it’s hard to understand Bugsy on the radio and that she should make an effort to talk more clearly. While they argue, Captain Sandy stumbles upon the scene and attributes all of the drama to Hannah (as per usual). At one point, Captain Sandy remarks, “What’s my Chief Stew doing? I don’t see her leading.” Has she ever?
Well, cue another one of those awkward talks with Captain Sandy belittling Hannah for her lack of enthusiasm for the job.
On deck, Malia White comes down on Rob Westergaard for his performance, telling him, “You don’t have to take things so personally every time.” Wait until she finds out that Rob and Jess are making out below deck instead of completing their duties.

It seems like our favorite housewives are making good use of their quarantine by “freshening up”. Chances are, if you’re following any of them on Instagram, you’ve seen their before and after photos.
Teresa Giudice posted a pic with her doctor about getting her veins done. Dorit Kemsley used the same Instagram posting formula about getting new teeth. And we just told you about Margaret Josephs’ doctor showing off her new facelift, amongst some other procedures.
Now, Real Housewives of New York’s Sonja Morgan is joining in on the fun. She recently posted on Instagram, showing off her new look. Sonja explains, “There’s been speculation around my fresh new look. I got a lower facelift and neck lift after wrapping Season 12. I just wanted to be rid of the wrinkling on my neck and the jowels that were starting to form. People thought I was nuts because it was so subtle. But not to me!”
She continues, “It was a no-brainer – gravity had taken its toll, I was also exhausted and I needed a ‘pick me up.’ I entrusted my face to the best @drjacono and he hit it out of the park. He uses a method called deep plane which goes under the muscle so your skin is still attached. Your blood flows and your face stays vibrant and heals fast.”
Sounds like Sonja is owning up to her work, despite trying to shrug it off on a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live. As reported by Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Sonja tried to attribute a recent picture of herself to something other than surgery. In a now-iconic Instagram post, which Sonja posted back on July 3rd, she was looking a little different.
Host Andy Cohen was all too happy to point that out, asking, “Is that airbrushing there?”
Sonja replied, “That day I spoke to my assistant. I go: What’s going on? And we had to throw out a bunch of processed snacks I was eating that were very high in sodium. You see how puffy I am in that picture?” She added, “And I do use all those apps.” You have to go and look at the picture because I’m sorry folks, that face ain’t from potato chips and FaceTune.
Either way, Sonja is clearly loving her new look and I can’t blame her. She looks fresh, happy, and like there’s not a processed food in sight.

Listen, I get it. The Vanderpump Rules kids (and their boss) are relentless when it comes to staying in the spotlight. They all want a name drop no matter what it’s attached to. That’s sort of what happens when a 7-year old show suddenly drops four cast members for racist behaviors. Especially when two of the four have been around since the beginning. Don’t forget they have suddenly hired relentless PR firms who are churning out any press that they can. All the while these assholes continue to whine about cancel culture. Let’s not even use names here, you all know who I’m talking about. I’m just as sick of seeing them mentioned too. Trust.
So on to some good news. James Kennedy is a year-plus sober. Tom Sandoval is endorsing a new make up line for men. Oh, and it looks like there’s a possible new cast member willing to step up and face this spiraling franchise.
If you are a fan of The Bachelor/The Bachelorette franchise, even in the slightest, then you probably remember Nick Viall. Well, if you watched his Bachelor season you might also remember Jasmine Goode. She and Nick never had much of a romantic connection, at least from his side, but who could forget the scene where she choked him out mid-conversation? Such an under-appreciated reality TV moment. Well, it sounds like we may be getting a few more of those!
Jasmine, who now works at SUR, recently chatted with Scheana Marie on Scheana’s podcast. They talked about Jasmine possibly joining the cast of the show. Us Weekly reported her response the the idea saying, “I mean, for me it’s one of those things where if it makes sense at the time, sure. So maybe I would.” She went on to say, “I think it’d be great! One, I think it’d be great because you guys do not have anybody that looks anything like me on the show. So No. 1, you need some [Black] representation there.”
Jasmine said, “The thing about Vanderpump which I love, the reason I would consider it is because it’s not like The Bachelor where it’s all about love. This is your life. You’re filming your life, everyday things, and I think that’s so cool.”
Jasmine also hinted, “I’m friends with [the cast], of course…It’s like, if I’m filming, yes, I’ll film with Scheana. It’s not a big deal. … This is what we normally do.”
She then added, “Like, if I’m gonna be on the show, I’m using this show for what I’m trying to do, not just to be the cool queen bee or the baddest bitch. … A lot of people go on the show and they just want to be, like, this character. Be this thing. And maybe because I’ve been on a TV show so I already don’t care about that part?”
Jasmine explained, “To me, it’s more like, it’s gonna be very real and authentic and … that’s why I’m kinda scared if I did do it because I’m too honest and I don’t give a s–t.” YESSSS. We need more of this energy. And truthfully, I think Jasminebrought this energy to both her Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise seasons.
Of note, former VPR cast member Faith Stowers has also said, “I would love to go back on Vanderpump Rules. I don’t have a problem with Vanderpump Rules. I don’t have a problem with Bravo in general…I would love to join their cast again and to be able to showcase my life to people because I know people can relate to it.”
To both of these ladies I say, COME ON DOWN! We have just about nothing to lose and everything to gain from these women gracing our screens.

Tiger King pretty much summarizes 202o, ammirite? It’s chaotic, confusing and the hits just keep on coming. It helps that they key players in the documentary seem to be enjoying their fifteen minutes of fame. Although now it’s feeling more like 20 minutes.
While Joe Exotic, the Tiger King himself, is stuck in jail, everyone else seems to be busy as ever. Jeff Lowe and his wife are set to have their own reality show. Carole Baskin seized control of Joe’s zoo. She also seized our ears, thanks to a recent Cameo to a fan. In the video clip, she and husband, Howard Baskin, sing 50 Cent’s “In Da Club.” Fofty Fifty Cent may have enjoyed it but I think the rest of the world could have done without. It’s clear to see that Tiger King is a phenomenon of sorts. So it’s not surprising that everyone is trying to cash in and claim ownership.
One such organization that is feeling cut out of the mix is Hollywood Weekly Magazine. According to The Hollywood Reporter, HWM has filed a lawsuit against Netflix, CBS Studios, Paramount and Imagine Television. HWM has cited multiple claims, including trademark and copyright infringement. They also cite unfair business practices and unjust enrichment. The publication says it owns the “Tiger King” trademark. In addition, they are claiming that it’s unwanted relationship with the series is having a negative effect on its reputation.
HWM is seeking damages and disgorgement of profits, along with asking for the destruction of the series and their advertising. The magazine claims it created the phrase “Tiger King” to reference Joe Exotic back in 2013. Though HWM didn’t file the trademark until July of this year, they assert that the nickname was exclusive to the profile of Joe Exotic himself.
Michael F. Frank, an attorney for HWM explains, “Recently after the Series was distributed for streaming, Plaintiffs for the first time were receiving comments from advertisers as to when HWM became a tabloid gossip magazine when the fundamental pillar of HWM is and always has been ‘No Gossip, Strictly Entertainment’ and always highly respected and well-known for this brand.” So aside from the use of Tiger King itself, the magazine is less than pleased with the series itself.
The attorney continues, “The Series literally uses the [Tiger King mark] in its title, throughout the video, and then even shows issues of the HWM Publication itself within the video Series as well showing that they knew about it, accessed it, had access to it, and were even using it in the Series itself, thus establishing the [mark] was neither separately created nor developed by Defendants.”
HWM also claims its advertisers have also threatened to bail on them, citing the “very easily plausible and obvious connection” with “a tawdry television program.” Tiger King tawdry? Yes. A masterpiece of entertainment? Also yes.
Idk what HWM’s problem is but I feel like they are too little too late. If Tiger King wasn’t a runaway success on the streaming service, would we even be having this conversation? Probably not. Either way, the Tiger King saga continues.

Never a dull moment with the Real Housewives of New York ladies. They’ve picked it up after their recently low ratings. If you missed the latest episode, I highly recommend you stop what you’re doing immediately and get watching. Viewers saw the most recent fight between Luann de Lesseps and Dorinda Medley escalate to new highs. Well, maybe not *so* new. Dorinda did recycle her drunk mugshot line and her Jovani ranting. But anyways. The argument was about whether or not Sonja Morgan should be paid for her time in Lu’s cabaret show. It turned into Lu sobbing while Ramona Singer and Leah McSweeny scoot her into a car to visit a pub. Friends forever!
The episode semi-resolved the issue when everyone woke up and basically admitted they had no idea what happened the night before. Now we’re getting Dorinda’s take after she’s gotten a chance to watch herself back. If you remember, she’s already said it’s been a tough year to watch. Sounds like this week was no exception.
Dorinda dished on her fight with Luann during a recent Watch What Happens Live appearance. According to The Daily Dish, Dorinda said, “I think the reaction was [Luann] to Sonja and then my reaction to Luann regarding Sonja.”
Translation: “I didn’t like that Lu wasn’t paying Sonja for her time.” Reasonable enough. Dorinda continued, “I think that it was just all very emotional and I think we’re horrible day drinkers” Well ya don’t say!
When asked if she took it too far this week Dorinda replied quickly with, “Yes! Because I didn’t remember it the next day.” She adds, ”I do remember thinking [Luann] was really attacking Sonja and I feel like Sonja really didn’t deserve that this season because Sonja too was going through a really hard time.”
Dorinda said, “And the thing about Sonja is she does really try to help Lu in all ways. Like she’s her ride or die.”
Even though Dorinda seems to be saying she would have still confronted Lu and stood up for Sonja, drunk or not, she shared, “I felt terrible because Lu and I have come a long way.”
She added, “I was thinking about it, more so than like Ramona, I really think of Lu as a sister relationship. She kind of grew up like me. We can fight and get through it. Lu wants to like move forward. And, you know, that was real. Whereas I feel like a lot of the stuff with Ramona is like, a story.”
Lol, what? Such a random moment to shit on Ramona. (Speaking of shitting and Ramona…did you hear about her recent feud with Leah and Elyse Slaine?)

Welcome to my press conference with absolutely zero press. I’m here to announce a few things, and don’t worry, none are printed on the back of my t-shirt. First of all, after a Coronavirus delay, our Real Housewives of Potomac ladies are set to come back for Season 5 the first week of August. Taglines are here people! I’m about to build an entire champagne room to celebrate. This franchise is an absolute gift. If you’ve been sleeping on this one, it’s time for a binge. Trust me.
This season viewers will be welcoming Dr. Wendy Osefo to the cast. Apparently Bravo thought she would bring a nice work ethic due to the fact that she’s a political commentator and professor. I’m looking forward to watching her mix it up with either Candiace Dillard or Monique Samuels. You can’t stay neutral on these two! Both women have filed second degree assault charges on the other. These claims were made after a dinner party during the filming. All for this new season! Apparently, the charges were dropped. And what’s the next thing you do after being dismissed from a crime? Drop a rap song! Of course!
Monique dropped the beat and dished on the track with E! News. She shared, “It was a lot that happened last season and this is pretty much me just reclaiming my power back and reminding myself of who I am, and although, you know, I’m not perfect never claimed to be.”
The mom of three continued, “I just needed a way to reassure myself that, you know, everything will be fine. And then this song was kind of my way of just letting everything go, getting everything that I felt off of my chest.” Monique also calls her new song, “just fun, uplifting [and] a little shady.”
Her song, titled ‘Drag Queens’ includes lyrics like “Be careful what you wish, don’t you dare hun, try the one, see the message wasn’t clear, hun.” Is that a line to Candiace? Who famously screamed at pregnant Monique to “drag her” in Season 4? (Seriously, you need to watch this franchise if you aren’t already).
That was my first thought, but Monique said her co-stars will “probably just listen to the hook, which is, you know, drag queens don’t play, you know, probably just relate that to the whole line last year when I said, ‘I’ll drag you pregnant…But if you listen to the whole song, you’ll see that it’s much more than just a play off of those words. But I am saying you know I came to work, I came to slay. That’s my mindset whenever I’m filming, or just in general.”
The song also includes this friendly message, “Give you what you ask for cause I care, hun.” and “I was born ready but I’m never done. Try on 10 looks just to find the right one.” Such a not-for-lazy-moms lines. Will essential oils get a shout out on the EP?
When talking about her start Monique says, “I started writing poetry when I was in like fifth grade. And then when I was in high school, a friend of mine said you know what you should take these poems and make them into songs, like you should rap songs…And I was like, ok I’ll try it and my love of music developed back then, and I was pursuing a career in the music industry after I left college. And so it’s always been a part of me.” She’s seriously so wholesome. I love her to bits and almost believe she can do no wrong. Then I remember the post- lunchtime drinks car accident from a few seasons back.
With her new baby, a pandemic, and the 40 other shit storms happening in this world, it’s shocking she found time for this. Monique revealed,”It has really helped me during this time. It’s been a great stress reliever.” Good for her! Rap on momma! She even ran the song by transgender Beyoncé impersonator Riley Knoxx to make she “wouldn’t be like stepping on any toes or coming off the way that is, you know, negative.” Monique shares that Riley “absolutely loved [the song].”
Fans replied to Monique’s song on twitter saying “Oh lord, another singing housewife.” Monique replied with a short but sweet, “I’m not singing.” Take a listen here and see what you think. Do we have our next Erika Jayne or Kandi Burruss? Or is this more of a Kim Zolciak, Jo De La Rosa, or Melissa Gorga moment?

“Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.” I feel like that is the only appropriate way to start a story about Jill Zarin. The Real Housewives of New York alum will forever be etched on my brain with that greeting. Even after all these years. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Speaking of years, it’s been so long since Jill has graced our screens (full time). But that hasn’t stopped her from staying in the news. She seems pretty happy with life, especially after the loss of her true love and husband, Bobby Zarin. Jill found love again. She is even working with daughter, Ally Shapiro, to help those affected by coronavirus.
Now, Jill and Ally are opening up about their experience together on season 1 of RHONY, where Jill sent Ally off to a weight loss camp. As reported by Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Ally talked about the experience during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories, a fan asked, “Did you feel shamed by your mum trying to make you lose weight when you were a child?”
In the video, Jill jumped in to quickly respond, “I don’t think I tried to shame you, do you?” Ally was in agreement, adding, “That wasn’t really the point of the detox center but that is how it came across. I think everyone’s insecure, no matter what age you are.”
Back then, Jill maintained the same mind-set. She told the New York Daily News, “This wasn’t about the weight. That was just a by-product. It’s about eating better. If you talk to people who do yoga and have a healthy life, they detox once a year. Allyson wanted to erase the blackboard, to detox her body and start over.”
Even so, Ally admitted to Glamour in 2012 that it might not have been the best idea. She said, “I don’t think we thought through the decision well enough. I’m a different person now than when I was fourteen years old.”
These days, the mother/daughter duo remains as tight as ever. The two are currently selling and donating homemade face masks to benefit front line workers during the pandemic. And while Jill won’t be returning to housewives anytime soon, it’s nice to know she’s still in their orbit. Even if she isn’t exactly invited.
