Below Deck Season 2 stew Amy Johnson is not the most memorable alum. She was charming, sweet, hard working, and ever cheerful. Despite this, Chief Stew Kate Chastain still found a way to ostracize her. In typical Kate style, she used a friendship with her second stew to alienate the third stew. And Kat Held was happy to play along.
Amy was, in fact, fantastic at her job. But that doesn’t make for entertaining reality TV, so after Amy left the series to be closer to her boyfriend, she was quickly replaced. Ironically, she and Kate became friends after filming wrapped. Amy has been active on social media since her departure, supporting the show and her former chief stew.
Now Amy is back in the spotlight after sharing a major life event on social media last week. Bravo’s The Daily Dish shared the news after the brunette beauty posted her engagement photos on July 3rd.
Amy said that fiance Ellis Lenthall popped the question on a beach in North Carolina. She shared a series of photos of the proposal, as well as family and friends celebrating the newly engaged couple.
“It all feels like a dream,” Amy wrote, “easiest ‘YES’ of all time!!! I can not wait to be your MRS!!”
Her fiancé Ellis posted the same pictures on his social media with the caption, “YES!!”
On a previous episode of The Daily Dish, Amy spoke about her relationship. “My man, he’s amazing and he’s a man,” she gushed, “I have so many great words to say about him, but I’m not going to gush too much. He’s amazing.”
It looks like Amy was ready to say yes for a while now. Congratulations and well-wishes flooded her Instagram page shortly after posting. Some notable Below Deck cast members to react were Ross Inia, Josiah Carter, Hannah Ferrier, and Ciara Duggan who wished Amy, “congratulations.”

Vanderpump Rules viewers have watched James Kennedy struggle with his sobriety and in his relationships with his co-stars and friends. The beginning of Season 8 of Pump Rules was tough to watch because of the way James was treating his ride-or-die chick, Raquel Leviss.
He sent Raquel nasty text messages, calling her a “slut” and a “whore” because she nearly missed his DJ appearance at TomTom during Pride. James insisted he was sober during the gig, but that wasn’t true. Not cool, James. Not cool.
Raquel accused her boyfriend of being verbally abusive and made it clear that if he didn’t get control of his life, she was ending their relationship. According to Us Weekly, in a March interview on Watch What Happens Live, James explained why he was able to stay sober for nine months.
“I’ve really taken hold of my life and try to change it for the better and change our relationship for the better. I know I should be doing this for me, but I’m also doing it for my relationship with Raquel,” the DJ shared.
“Because of all the drinking I was doing and stuff, I was really hiding away from my true emotions and just blaming whatever I wanted to get out the easy way,” James added. It is great that he has realized this about himself.
The self-professed White Kanye shared that he had been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Vanderpump Rules fans also saw Lisa Vanderpump keep in close contact with James to offer him support during his sobriety journey.
Now, James is celebrating a huge milestone in his life. On July 5, US Weekly reported that James took to Instagram to announce that it is the one-year anniversary of his sobriety! He posted a photo of himself with his pup, Graham.
“Hey everyone just wanted to let you all know I’ve made it to my one year sober today. Letting go of drinking was the best decision I ever made and I’m going strong,” James wrote. “I don’t miss the booze …… I don’t miss the feeling …. I’m so grateful for everything now and life has become more beautiful in many ways.”
James added, “Thank you to my rock @raquelleviss for getting me here I couldn’t of done this without you my love. and thank you all for the support this past year.”
Raquel also acknowledged her man’s achievement on Instagram with a photo of the duo wearing masks. “Today James is 1 year sober! Lots to celebrate but most important is the love you show me every single day @itsjameskennedy,” she wrote.
Some of James’ current, and former, co-stars also commented on this momentous occasion. Former co-star Brett Caprioni, who was recently fired from the show for racist tweets from his past, commented on James’ Instagram post, “Couldn’t be happier for you or more excited for your future. Onward and upward.”
Jax Taylor wrote, “Congrats brother, well deserved.” At least Jax didn’t make the post about him for a refreshing change of pace.
“James! love you so much!” Ariana Madix said and added clapping hands emojis.
Scheana Shay also showed her support by commenting, “Sooooo proud of you!!!!!” with heart emojis.
Congratulations to James on reaching his one-year sobriety birthday!

Ever since Tinsley Mortimer left Real Housewives of New York, co-star Ramona Singer has become the new target for her angry, and often drunken, co-stars. Dorinda Medley took issue with the fact that Ramona brought Dorinda and Sonja Morgan to Long Island to help with her birthday party planning.
Dorinda was angry that Ramona wouldn’t include Sonja’s birthday in the planning and ignored all their suggestions. Ramona even forced them to appear in a social media photograph with the owner.
At Luann de Lesseps’ Halloween party, RHONY viewers watched Dorinda hijack Luann’s toast to make some scary comments about Ramona. Dorinda told the guests that Ramona is selfish and a bad friend. Awkward!
Ramona also angered newbie Housewife Leah McSweeney when Ramona didn’t want Leah’s sister to come for the Newport, Rhode Island cast trip. Ramona also repeatedly commented on Leah’s drinking and crazy antics. Doesn’t everyone get naked and throw tiki torches like javelins when visiting the Hamptons?
Now Dorinda is calling out Ramona for her selfish behavior during the Covid-19 crises. According to Vulture, on July 4, Dorinda took to Twitter to slam people who attended a party in the Hamptons the previous week. Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., attended the soiree, and then recently tested positive for the coronavirus.
“Anyone that attended Joe Farrell’s packed Hamptons party last week should get tested ASAP including @ramonasinger,” Dorinda tweeted. She also posted a link to an article in the New York Times titled, “Kimberly Guilfoyle, Top Fund-Raising Official for Trump Campaign, Tests Positive for Coronavirus.”
Ramona didn’t respond to Dorinda’s tweet, but on July 3, a follower called Dorinda “a mean girl,” and Ramona retweeted the comment.
Leah also made her displeasure about Ramona’s Covid-19 lifestyle choices clear. Ramona and her daughter, Avery Singer, quarantined with Ramona’s ex-husband Mario Singer in Florida.
A video that Leah posted to her Instagram Story was shared by RealHousewivesFranchise’s Instagram account on June 24. Leah doesn’t give the name of her inconsiderate RHONY co-star, but it is obvious that she is ranting about Ramona. “I am so disgusted by some of my castmates and their families who spent the entire f*cking quarantine in Florida, living it up, showing everybody how they’re living it up,” Leah said.
“Then, Florida, of course, the cases surge. They f*cking come back to New York and are out like nothing, not quarantining, not taking this shit seriously, and basically laughing in all of our faces,” Leah remarked. “F*ck you, guys.” This mother-daughter relationship dynamic between Ramona and Leah seems to be over.
In an interview with People on July 1, Ramona revealed that both she and her daughter had the coronavirus antibody test in May. After they both received positive results, they donated their plasma. Ramona and Avery returned to New York in June, and Ramona stated that she did get medical advice before returning to New York.
“When I was on the plane, I wore a mask the whole time, I wore gloves the whole time, and I was washing down everything. I was– and continue to be– extremely socially responsible,” Ramona said. Well, it looks like Leah and Dorinda may disagree with you, Ramona.

I think we can all use a little good news right now. Especially(?) when it comes to Vanderpump Rules. At this point, I think we all know about the Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute firings. Don’t forget about fans begging for Jax Taylor to get fired too! Or his racist comments towards 90 Day Fiance cast member Jay Smith. Truthfully, I think the show has been spared by the season ending when it did. The part 3 reunion episode did this freak show zero favors, if I do say so myself.
In this shit storm of a cast, there are still a few shining lights. Scheana Shay, for one, came out unscathed. Despite her tragic miscarriage, I still say Scheana is doing life right. She remains coupled with hottie and ever-supportive Brock Davies who I hope to see more of next season. Assuming the VPR OG is back on our screen. And while there’s a supposed friendship between Kristen and Ariana Madix, I think Tom Sandoval and Ariana came out okay too. Just in time for Tom’s new makeup launch! Yes, you read that correctly! Male make up!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. And you’re right. Tom Sandoval’s skin hardly needs makeup! What with his frequent hydrating, forehead shaving, and incredible attention to facial grooming, he should be set. But if the image for this article didn’t remind you, I will now. Tom is an epic makeup and costume artist. Now show some respect.
In his recent Instagram post, Tom shared with his followers about his new partnership saying, “Hey everyone, I don’t know if you remember me talking about this company Stryx before, they do, uh, concealer and tinted moisturizers specifically made for men and I just want to say I am now officially part of the company!”
Well, Tom actually claims to be a user of these products. He continued in his post announcing “I have been wearing this product for years. I’ve been obsessed with it. I love it so much. And so now I am officially part of the company.”
Where can you find this exciting new line? Tom shares, “We’re gonna to be coming to CVS pharmacies nationwide. Stay tuned! I’ll let you know when that’s coming….let me know what you guys think!”
I literally cannot wait for this journey. Way more on brand than Stassi thinking her trash-heap thoughts should be on a podcast (that has been canceled), Kristen’s T-shirt line, or Jax’s beer cheese.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers are finally getting closer to finding out exactly what happened between Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville. Denise has been front and center for much of the drama this season. After all, Denise knows a thing or two about drama since her ex-husband is actor Charlie Sheen. Just saying.
Denise’s RHOBH co-stars were angry at her because she missed filming for acting roles. Then, Brandi alleged that she and Denise had a sexual relationship, and that Denise told her that she was in an open marriage with Aaron Phypers. I guess someone forgot to inform Aaron. Oops!
In the RHOBH mid-season trailer, Brandi told the other Beverly Hills ladies about her romp with Denise. Later in the clip, Denise reacted, exclaiming “What the f–k? That is not true!”
Denise denied all of the hook up allegations. She also supposedly stopped filming with her fellow Housewives when details about the alleged affair came to light during the cast trip to Rome. Awkward!
Brandi recently posted a photo on Twitter of her kissing another blonde woman on the cheek. The other woman could appears to be Denise from the episode when she met up with Brandi last season. “Making dinner for my fam/neighbors – #snack on this,” Brandi wrote. On June 29, Brandi tweeted, “It’s 1millionpercent DR !!!NOT A DR look alike.” Plenty of fans were skeptical, especially because the photo was so dark.
Us Weekly reported that Denise spoke out about the rumors during an interview on The Talk on June 30. Denise said, “I love for things to play out on television instead of social media. But the stuff that’s been out there, I have been through it in the media with different claims being made.”
“So for me, personally, this is like kindergarten,” Denise explained. “I’m, like, whatever. We’ll just let it play out on the show, it is what it is. … I can’t speak for anyone else.”
Does Denise regret joining RHOBH? Not exactly. “My first season, I loved filming with the women,” the actress shared. “I had a great time getting to know them. We are very blessed and very lucky being on this show and part of it. … I don’t regret it.” I am impressed that Denise put a positive spin on being part of RHOBH, given everything we know about the rest of Season 12.
Denise continued, “People are always going to say stuff, and I know my truth, my husband does, it is what it is. Like I said, I’ve had so much stuff said over the years about me and my family,” Denise remarked. “This is like nothing compared to the things that have been said about me.”

It looks like the remainder of Season 12 is going to be rough for Real Housewives of New York stars Ramona Singer and Leah McSweeney. In the beginning, Ramona portrayed herself as a surrogate mother to out of control newbie Housewife Leah.
During Ramona’s RHONY cast trip to Newport, Rhode Island, Leah went full throttle on her decision to start drinking again. Leah begged Ramona to let her sister, Sarah McSweeney, come for part of the trip. After first agreeing, Ramona withdrew the invitation.
But an already drunk Leah didn’t take the news well. Some flowers, some curtains, and a cocktail glass were all assaulted by Leah at the open-air dinner. Leah also screamed and writhed on the lawn. Good times! Ramona finally relented and allowed Leah’s sister to come.
Page Six reports that Leah threw some mud at Ramona during an interview on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast on June 30. Leah stated, “Ramona tried to get me kicked off the entire show that weekend.”
Leah believes that Ramona’s behavior stems from Ramona “probably” being jealous of her. I’m sure Leah’s drunken antics weren’t a factor at all. Viewers know that Ramona always needs to be the center of attention, and Leah seems to be stealing the spotlight.
“I can’t think of any other reason why I’d be held to such different standards than everybody else unless she just sees me as like, I mean, again, I’m the tattooed one. I’m the one with a smaller apartment. I’m the one that lives downtown with the graffiti,” Leah explained. “I don’t know. Maybe she just doesn’t –maybe she thinks she’s like above me or whatever. I’m not really sure, you know, but it all plays out in the second half the season. It only gets worse.”
The fashion designer admitted that her alcohol intake in Newport made other RHONY cast members upset. But Leah also revealed that her decision to start drinking again wasn’t because of the reality show. “I spent so many years not drinking, you know, most of my adult life, for nine years from age 27 to 36, I didn’t drink at all,” Leah said.
She added, “I think like it was the edit or whatever it is, or people were like, ‘Oh my God, she broke her sobriety for the show.’ And it’s like, ‘No, I didn’t.’ I broke my sobriety way before the show,” Leah remarked. “And it was a very personal choice and it was something I have no regrets doing.”
The RHONY drama continued when Leah, Ramona, and Ramona’s daughter, Avery Singer, feuded on social media about Leah’s behavior in Newport. In June, Leah seemed to call out the duo, who quarantined in Florida, for not taking the Covid-19 crises seriously. Leah didn’t mention her co-stars by name, but it has to be Ramona and her daughter.
Leah is currently celebrating three months of sobriety. I still don’t think that Leah and Ramona are going to be lunching together anytime soon. Has the “Singer stinger” finally met her match?
