Barbie Pascual Is the Villain Below Deck Needed

Bravo/YouTube

Barbie Pascual has already caused a ton of chaos on Below Deck Season 11. During the first charter, it seemed like Barbie had the potential to bring a lot of positives to the interior team. Barbie has a knack for service, and the guests seem to gravitate toward her. Unfortunately, it did not take long for Barbie’s true colors to start showing.

Barbie quickly went from hero to zero, after her bad attitude became more apparent to her fellow crew members. Barbie is now at odds with several individuals onboard, and Chief Stew Fraser Olender even told Captain Kerry Titheradge about her poor behavior.

Based on everything we have seen from Barbie so far, it appears that she is one of the worst villains Below Deck has seen in some time. While change is always possible, Barbie seems to have already secured herself as the main antagonist of Below Deck Season 11.

Barbie Is Incredibly Disrespectful To Fraser

Bravo/YouTube

Barbie and Fraser originally hit it off with one another, but it did not take long for their relationship to turn sour. Fraser recognized that Barbie was good at her job at the jump, although this quickly got to her head.

During the second charter of the season, Barbie becomes frustrated when Fraser asks her to do things a certain way. For instance, when Barbie took a long time making margaritas for thirsty guests, Fraser encouraged her to get them out as fast as possible. Barbie quickly caught an attitude and told Fraser that she needed to add more ingredients. Fraser told her that they were fine as they were, but she insisted on arguing with him about it.

When it comes to the interior team, all stews must respect the wishes of the Chief Stew. Fraser is in charge of the team for a reason, and it is unreasonable for Barbie to get angry with him because of it. After the incident, Barbie called Fraser a d**k behind his back, which was also completely uncalled for and frankly inappropriate.

Barbie Is A Mean Girl To Cat

Bravo/YouTube

Barbie has also been pretty mean to Cat Baugh this season, despite them having an intervention with Fraser. During the first charter, it was unclear who was in the wrong. Barbie seemed to just be pushing Cat to work harder, as it seemed like her work ethic was slacking at the time. During the second charter, however, it became apparent that Barbie just had no interest in being kind to Cat.

After talking to Cat and learning more about her, Fraser realized that Cat truly meant well. He asked Barbie several times to be more sensitive with Cat, and in turn, Barbie just laughed him off. Cat admitted several times that she was having a hard time connecting with others onboard, which should have been another indicator for Barbie to try harder with her. Instead, Barbie refused to admit she was wrong and kept rolling her eyes when Fraser brought it up.

During the second crew night out, Fraser and Barbie went to grab drinks by the bar when Cat came up to Fraser crying. Fraser is arguably the only person who has gotten to know Cat, and he doesn’t hesitate to take her aside to talk. When he returned to Barbie, he again asked her to be more fragile with Cat. Barbie’s response was to scream at Fraser and become defensive. Instead, Barbie should have simply tried to sympathize more with Cat.

Barbie Isn’t There For The Right Reasons

Barbie raised red flags as soon as she was introduced, such as by bragging about her rich lifestyle. She even had to bring her luxury sheets, which just seemed pretty extra, especially for living in a small cabin.

During the premiere, Barbie went on and on about her luxurious lifestyle at home. Barbie talked about taking trips and traveling on private jets, which left some viewers wondering why she was working on a yacht. After receiving tips from the first charter, Barbie bragged that she would be using the money to buy a designer bag. This rubbed me the wrong way, as most of the crew members are genuinely there to make a living for themselves.

Below Deck’s Jared Woodin Isn’t a Good Bosun: Here’s Why

The nautical franchise is back with a vengeance, and Below Deck is already making waves thanks to its airy-fairy bosun, Jared Woodin. The father-of-one has already admitted he has a touch of ADD, but finds ways to succeed in whatever he is doing. Between his flirting with Barbie Pascual and his positive attitude, he looked like he might be the perfect fit for the new season. But, a recent string of mishaps has me thinking he might not be cut out for the crystal blue waters of Grenada.

Trouble at Home

Let’s face it: Jared has had trouble on deck since he walked the gangway. But problems at home are creeping into his mind on a daily basis. Jared shared with Captain Kerry Titheradge that he was a father-of-one, a daughter who didn’t see often.

Viewers learned that he had never met his three-year-old daughter, who lives in Alaska, because he had only just found out about her. Jared does, however, get to communicate with her twice a week via phone, but when his signal is too low, he has a meltdown.

The Florida native shared with the crew that the mother of his child “said she didn’t particularly want me to be a part of things.” Jared admitted he wasn’t ready to be a dad at the time, noting, “I haven’t met my daughter yet because, at the time that I found out she was pregnant, it was a shell shock to me; I wasn’t ready for it. I didn’t handle it properly, and I’m trying like hell to correct that.”

Jared might have been a great bosun, but this season might only be showing his downfall as he noted, “Like, I want her to get to know me. I want to get to know her. But, it’s hard to sew back a wound without leaving a scar behind.”

Jared Isn’t a Natural Bosun, or Leader

Ben Willoughby is making it known that he is not a fan of their fearless leader. Ben’s major crux for an argument is that he doesn’t feel Jared knows how to do his job properly. Personally, Ben is being a bit overzealous and a brown-noser, so I’m going to need him to calm down. But I can see what the Australian is seeing since the father of one has dropped the ball a few times.

Ben’s first major issue came when Jared dropped anchor with one too many shackles, essentially reporting to the Captain that he hadn’t been told by Ben. In fairness, Ben isn’t exactly the messenger I’d trust, but Jared also didn’t double-check with Captain Kerry. Ben is no fan of Jared’s work style, but Ben is also calculating. It is clear that he wants the position for himself and is probably enjoying Jared’s downfall. Sadly, Jared is barely holding his head above water.

The Season Is Only Getting Harder

This last charter really showed Jared getting hammered, and dare I say; I felt bad for him. First, he had a very awkward conversation with Captain Kerry after it didn’t go unnoticed that Jared was really feeling weighed down by his personal problems. Captain Kerry also didn’t like that Jared was hungover and not in tip-top shape to get the vessel ready. But perhaps the weirdest interaction was Jared’s odd and aggressive argument with the rations purveyor over towels.

After being rejected by Barbie, Jared was clearly trying to blow off some steam. And, with the wrong color towels, he found his victim. After asking for the special request, fans heard the provisioner’s response. “We cannot get towels on the island very easily. Especially the model that you are asking for and in a specific color.” Jared fired back, “I just need towels. There have to be towels on this island. White or blue.”

Naturally, we all know you catch more flies with honey. The voice on the phone snapped back, “Listen, if you are a little bit more professional and cordial in your tone, I think it will go across better. Because I feel like we’re having a little fight on the phone here. I’m here to help you.”

I don’t think Jared is at his best, and I imagine he will soon be presented with a ticket home.

All the Past and Present RHOP Housewives Ranked

Real Housewives of Potomac

Real Housewives of Potomac will celebrate 8 years on the air in 2024. In the last 8 seasons, RHOP has become a bit of a revolving door, with housewives coming and going. As Season 8 draws to a close, let’s reminisce about the past and present housewives of Potomac.

Here are all the RHOP Housewives ranked from worst to best.

Katie Rost

Katie Rost/Instagram

Katie Rost was one of the OG women that helped launch the show in 2016. While Katie encapsulated the Potomac lifestyle, she didn’t feel like a natural fit for the show. She was quieter and more reserved, so she stuck out like a sore thumb compared to Kar en Huger and Gizelle Bryant. She was allegedly fired from the show after Season 1 but made guest appearances in later seasons.

Nneka Ihim

Nneka Ihim/Instagram

Nneka Ihim is the newest addition to the RHOP family. She joined the cast in Season 8, so we don’t know much about the newbie. She’s cool, successful, and not afraid to stir the pot, which makes her a good fit for this group. However, we haven’t seen enough of her to decide if she’s RHOP material. The jury is still out.

Wendy Osefo

Wendy Osefo/Instagram

Wendy Osefo joined RHOP in Season 5 as the professor, political commentator, and devoted mother who made it all work. Initially, Wendy felt like a perfect addition to the RHOP family. However, over time, the 39-year-old fell out of favor with the women. She is almost completely isolated from the group. Season 8 Wendy feels very different from the fun, quick-witted Wendy we saw in Season 5. We’re hoping the dynamics change but right now, we’re not sure about her place on the show.

Monique Samuels

Monique Samuels/Instagram

Monique Samuels joined RHOP in Season 2 after Katie left the show. Fans quickly took a liking to the newbie and she felt like a perfect representation of the Potomac lifestyle. She was beautiful, wealthy, and had a seriously enviable home. Monique’s RHOP reign ended on a sour note when she got into a physical fight with her co-star Candiace Dillard-Bassett.

Mia Thornton

Mia Thornton/Instagram

Mia Thornton joined RHOP in Season 6, bringing a new energy to the show. She’s less conservative than the other women when it comes to sex and it was genuinely enjoyable watching her shock the other women. They were confused about her close relationship with her best friend Jacqueline Blake and her past as a stripper. It took fans a while to warm up to Mia but now she feels like a core part of the show.

Charrisse Jackson-Jordan

Charrisse Jackson-Jordan/Instagram

Okay, now we are getting to the icons. Charrisse Jackson-Jordan was one of the OG ladies of RHOP, which automatically gives her legendary status. Charrisse never failed to bring the drama and often went toe-to-toe with some of the most fearsome cast members. We’re still laughing thinking about her and Gizelle fighting before the Crab Boil event in Season 1. Some fans miss seeing Charrisse on their screens every week and hope she gets promoted to a full-time housewife again.

Robyn Dixon

Robyn Dixon/Instagram

It’s hard to imagine RHOP without Robyn Dixon. The 44-year-old has sparked a lot of conversation over the years. From fans debating about whether she’s in an open marriage to sharing their brutally honest opinions about her hat line, the girl gets people talking. We love Robyn and can’t imagine RHOP without her.

Candiace Dillard-Bassett

Candiace Dillard-Bassett/Instagram

Candiace is often labeled the “villain” of RHOP but we think there’s more to her than that. Sure, she’s filled that role at times on the show, but she’s also proved she isn’t a one-dimensional character. She was a good friend to Wendy in Season 7 and has a sweet relationship with Karen. She can be fierce with her insults but underneath, she has a good heart.

Ashley Darby

Ashley Darby/Instagram

Ashley Darby walked into a party in Season 1 and was immediately labeled a “thot” by Gizelle. She didn’t receive a warm welcome from the group but that didn’t stop her from trying. Over time, her sweetness prevailed. Gizelle and Robyn completely changed their mind about her. Ashley, in many ways, is a perfect Real Housewife. She is constantly involved in drama but remains so likable. It’s easy to root for her. Her relationship with her (soon-to-be ex-husband, Michael, is wild, and never fails to get us talking. She sure knows how to keep fans interested.

Gizelle Bryant

Gizelle Bryant/Instagram

If Gizelle ever leaves RHOP, cancel the show. The mother-of-three has been carrying the show on her back since Season 1. Few housewives deliver the way Gizelle does. From her love/hate relationship with Karen to her complete lack of a filter, she never fails to make good TV.

Karen Huger

Karen Huger/Instagram

Of course, we have to give the Grand Dame the number one spot. Karen is an icon. From fighting with a mime to constantly roasting Gizelle’s style, Karen keeps us laughing. We could fill a book with all her iconic quotes. There is no doubt that she holds the crown among the RHOP ladies.
