Kyle Richards is finally getting the recognition she deserves for surviving a life with Kim Richards! Kyle has been hard at work producing, American Woman, a sitcom based on her Hollywood childhood in the 70’s.
American Woman stars Alicia Silverstone as the character based on Kyle’s stage momager Big Kathy (aka The original Kris Jenner!). And also stars Mena Suvari and Cheyenne Jackson. Kyle and the stars shared some behind-the-scenes photos on set.

After keeping the crowd waiting for TWO HOURS in the sun and heat, Kanye West debuted Yeezy Season 4 earlier this week. Kylie Jenner, Kendall, and Kim Kardashian were there to be photographed show their support.
Yeezy collaborator Vanessa Beecroft says the wait was intentional, “Everyone was in a state of meditation. I believe it was planned because West wanted the audience to get into this state of having to observe and having to stay.”

Several reports and videos have surfaced of models passing out. Vanessa denies it was because of the heat, though, “It wasn’t physical. There was food and water.” Instead, she claims the models were just “overwhelmed” by the “so intense” experience of working with the one and only Kanye West.
Let’s play along and pretend we believe that overwhelmed nonsense…
Women’s Wear Daily editor Jessica Iredale, on the other hand, was very much underwhelmed by the “bore” of a collection “that was at best predictable.”
“West clung to unoriginal territory: oversize hoodies, parkas, T-shirts, bra tops and tight-knit tank dresses in pale colors, mostly worn with over-the-knee boots,” she continues. “It’s almost surprising West, who is quick to congratulate his own creativity, continues to rely on something that’s become a bore.”
About the two hour “state of meditation” wait, Jessica points out, “We’ve been world-class enablers of Kanye West, allowing him to put us at his mercy.”
“Round-trip, the event clocked in at about four-and-a-half hours,” she adds. “This is behavior that would not be tolerated from true design visionaries – Karl Lagerfeld or West’s friend Riccardo Tisci. Not that they would display such audacious disrespect for people’s time.”
Jessica also says that there was no medical attention available for the models who passed out. Actually, very little attention at all – the “other models fetched them water” while the staff ignored them.
She brings attention to the poorly designed dangerously high heeled boots the models wore, “In one truly desperate case, a model, sweating under a black hooded coat, was so hobbled by her boots, Bruce Pask of Bergdorf Goodman escorted her down the runway.”
Jessica concludes, “Adidas should be embarrassed.”

If you were still holding out hope that Shailene Woodley might be on board with the plan to take the final film in the Divergent series to TV, you might not like what we're about to tell...The fans in Bachelor Nation have always been very devoted, but the recent announcement that Nick Viall was chosen as the latest Bachelor has really put the fandom into overdrive. The news broke over a week ago and the Bachelor fans have a lot to say about it. One of those fans is Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lauri Peterson who wants her daughter Ashley Zarlin to join the show and date Nick Viall.
Nick was already on three reality shows in the Bachelor franchise, so why not bring in someone from Bravo? Yes, it’s a super random idea, but it would probably bring some additional viewers to the series. The only real issue that I see is that Real Housewives of Orange County is a Bravo show which is a part of the NBC Universal family and The Bachelor airs on ABC, but that might be irrelevant since Lauri hasn’t been a full time Housewife in years. But anyway, let’s get back to the story here.

Since I am one of the Bachelor fans that would love to date Nick, I totally get why Lauri would want her daughter Ashley to do the same. When Bachelor producer Elan Gale tweeted, “Casting for the next season of The Bachelor ends VERY soon,” Lauri quoted the tweet and wrote, “What are you waiting for @ashleyzarlin?”
Someone responded to Lauri and wrote, “How do we submit her for Nick’s season ASAP?” and Lauri revealed how serious she is about this idea when she replied with, “I’m not entirely sure! Someone….HELP!” Judge me if you must, but I have to admit that this makes me wish that my mom pushed for me to date attractive men on reality television. If only…
What does Ashley have to say about these Twitter exchanges? She did not actually say anything (yet), but she retweeted her moms tweets and several other posts about Lauri wanting Ashley to date Nick. That sounds like she is on board with the idea and I am so in support of this!
Lauri also got in on the retweet game to drum up more support for her Ashley’s quest to pursue Nick.
On the other end of the relationship spectrum, Lauri is one of the few Real Housewives cast members who is actually a wife. She got married to George Peterson on the show in the most perfect TV wedding. Not only are they still together, but they seem to be a very happy couple.
Lauri posted a pic stitch with wedding photos on Instagram to commemorate her wedding anniversary and wrote a sweet caption to go along with it: “And they lived happily ever after. #9yearsandgoingstrong #weddinganniversary #9years #stillinlove #love #myluckycharm”
It’s nice to see that Lauri and George are still going strong as a couple, which is something I (and some other RHOC fans) would love to see for Ashley and Nick. Let’s make this happen – the Real Housewives and Bachelor crossover would be amazing. I am ALL about this idea.

Who was nominated for eviction on Big Brother this week? Well, unless you’ve been following along on the Live Feeds, you could be a bit surprised about who the new Head of Household decided to put up on the block.
Especially with the questionable CBS TV show edits the past few weeks, and the apparently ‘faked’ conversations a certain someone has been having to provide the network with ‘drama’ for their TV footage.
That’s a subject for an entirely different article, but suffice it to say that the CBS TV show wants things to look as dramatic and up in the air as possible. However, for those of us watching the Big Brother Live Feeds, it was no surprise at all when new Head of Household Corey Brooks and showmance partner Nicole Franzel didn’t take long to lay out their eviction nominations plan for this week.
Corey and Nicole have been talking behind the scenes for a while now about flipping on their Final 4 deal with Victor and Paul. They don’t want to go into the finale against either of them, and they certainly don’t want to end up with two duos battling it out. So they need to team up with now single James to get out either Paul or Victor (preferably Victor) this week.
Thus, Corey and Nicole solidified their plan last night to put up Victor and Paul as the eviction nominees this week. If one of them wins Power of Veto, the other one will be voted out. James is smart enough to know, we hope, that while he might stand some kind of totally outside chance in the finale with Nicole and Corey, there is no way in hell he could win if he was facing Paul and Victor.
The official Nominations Ceremony isn’t over yet, but we will update this post with the ‘offical’ resutlts as soon as they come in. We don’t expect any surprises. Should be a fun evening on the Big Brother Live Feeds after the Ceremony is over when the Corey/Nicole/Paul/Victor Final 4 deal is officially dead in the water — and Paul and Victor realize their bromance on the show is about to end and they gotta fight each other to try to be the one who stays another week at least.
All good things must come to an end...so something better can begin. We've reached the final day of our rapid-fire reviews, and after letting you know how we felt about NBC's...There was a lot of talk about Lisa Vanderpump quitting Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after the hard time she had last season when pretty much every cast member (except for Kyle Richards) tried to outcast her and accused her of “being manipulative.” Eventually Lisa said she would only return to RHOBH if the show promised to highlight her work as an activist for animal rights and gay rights.
I wasn’t sure if Lisa was just holding out for a bigger paycheck (not that she needs the money), but she ended up agreeing to come back (obviously) and she had a great reason for returning. I’m sure part of her loves the celebrity status she has gained, but I do think it is great that Lisa is very involved with such important causes on a regular basis.

If you find it hard to believe that Lisa would only return to the show to promote her activism, I get it because it is so tough to determine who in reality TV is actually genuine, but LVP really does seem to care for all the right reasons.
Lisa posted on Instagram urging her followers to join her in a discussion about animal right issues on September 14. Lisa wrote, “Please join me, Congressman Alcee Hastings, Dr. John Sessa, Peter Li (HSI), Andrea Gung (Duo Duo), Mark Ching (Animal Hope & Wellness) and other activists on September 14th at 8:00 am in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, Congressional Auditorium (CVC-200) to discuss the dog meat trade in Asia, the brutal Yulin Dog Meat Festival in Yulin, China, and how we plan to make an impact with the House Resolution 752.”
If you watched the show last season, you probably remember Lisa leading a march to stop the mistreatment and killings of dogs in Yulin.

It’s nice to see a Housewife who is interested in more than just promoting teeth whitening products and detox teas on Instagram. Lisa wants her fans to get involved with a cause that she is passionate about and it would be great if she was able to parlay her reality TV fame to genuinely make a difference.

It's the final day of our Rapid-Fire reviews, and we may have saved the best for last! Believe it or not, we the E! TV team (mostly) loved every show coming to NBC this fall, which...Earlier this week Vicki Gunvalson called BS on Shannon Beador’s excuse for not coming to Glamis with her Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars and now Shannon is defending her reasons as valid – per doctor’s orders.
She started off, “I feel a bit uncomfortable even blogging about this episode because it is not about me at all. I will briefly comment about the things going on in my life and a few things about the Glamis trip.”
On her life being in a happy but hectic place, “A lot has happened since my vow renewal and I literally feel like I am in a whirlwind! We received an offer on our home right as we were taking off on the plane to Cabo San Lucas and after much deliberation on the trip, we decided to accept the offer right before we left to come home. For us, the timing was another sign from above that we were to continue on with God’s plan and start fresh with many aspects of our lives.”
She adds, “That being said, the offer on our home was a short escrow which was quite stressful. I can be a procrastinator and I continually tried to reassure myself that somehow we could pack up a 13,500 square foot home, find somewhere else to live (with parameters that I now know seem a bit much!), and furnish it all within a two week period.” Shannon says, “You will soon get a glimpse into that disaster!”
On the doctor advising her not to go, Shannon says that it’s completely legit. “I would just like to address a few points about the Glamis trip. Tamra is fully aware that I have bronchiectasis in both of my lungs. It is basically permanent damage to bronchial tubes that have resulted from at least 16 bouts of pneumonia. I cough 24/7 and can get lung infections with the snap of a finger. One of the stupidest things I could do would be to travel to a windy sand dune where I could inhale tiny particles of sand. I didn’t have a negative or lousy attitude, I followed the instructions of my pulmonologist. It had nothing to do with Vicki or Kelly.”
Shannon ends her blog with, “As it turns out, I was quite fortunate to have missed the Glamis trip. I can’t imagine going through everything the women did, and I commend them all for their strength. Can’t wait to see the next episode. Until next week…”

I always find it interesting that Heather Dubrow has never had plastic surgery, yet her husband Terry Dubrow is an extremely successful plastic surgeon. Sure, she’s had Botox, but I think that pretty much every Housewife has. Since Heather and Terry have a book coming out about cosmetic procedures and trends, it makes sense for them to comment on which celebrities have the most impact in this area.
It’s not at all surprising when Terry and Heather admit that Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are influencers in this area. To promote their book Dr. and Mrs. Guinea Pig Present The Only Guide You’ll Ever Need to the Best Anti-Aging Treatments, the Dubrows opened up about how the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars have influenced the requests Terry receives from his patients.

In an interview with Daily Mail, Heather joked, “I’m all for plastic surgery if it pays the mortgage!” Which I actually thought was a pretty hilarious thing to say, but the really interesting thing is how Heather and Terry’s children feel about plastic surgery. The couple admitted that because of Terry’s job, the children are very comfortable talking about plastic surgery.
Terry revealed, “My 12 year old is talking about lip augmentations, so we are having conversations about that at home. It’s a scary time – 17 and 18 year olds are talking about liposuction and Botox. Anyone thinking about it needs frank advice.”

Wow. Personally, I’ve never looked at person and thought that their lips were too thin, but apparently there are a lot of people who have since Kylie got her lips plumped up.
Terry said the youngest member of the famous family influences teenagers to pursue cosmetic procedures: “You have celebrities like Kylie Jenner moving the plastic surgery needle by doing things normal people wouldn’t do.”
Kylie‘s impact is pretty recent, but her older sister Kim has been influencing plastic surgery requests for years. Terry said that a lot of his patients come into his office for Kim-inspired butt lifts. He maintains that this trend has been present for a while and that it will be “a long way” until it disappears. Terry also said the augmentation has become the “most rapidly increasing procedure.”

Terry declared, “You know, just when you thought the Kardashians were done, their ratings doubled, and the same thing is going to happen with butts.” Honestly though. Whenever people try to convince the world that this family is irrelevant, they become even more popular and influential. Like it or not, that’s the truth.
So what does Heather have to say about the Kardashian/Jenner influenced procedures? All she added was, “What are those butts going to look like in 20 years?” I can’t tell if that was a critique of the procedure or what, but Heather should not bite the hand that (literally) feeds her. I’m sure that booty lifts and lip injections paid for a significant portion of the Dubrows’ new mega mansion.

Derek Hough, who was slated to star in Singin’ In The Rain on Broadway this Fall, wasn’t expected to be a part of the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. However, last week, Derek shared on Instagram that the show has been delayed.
“This fall, I was planning on being immersed in rehearsals for Singin’ in the Rain on Broadway, but due to successes of the shows currently running, that project has been delayed because there simply isn’t a theater available,” said Derek. “With my fall schedule freeing up I’m excited to say that I’ll be back on Dancing with the Stars for Season 23. It is always great to be back with my DWTS family, coaching, creating, and making lasting memories.”

Speaking to E! News, Derek said that Dancing with the Stars is “home” to him, adding, “It’s my family.” Derek has been partnered with Marilu Henner.
While Derek is in, his bestie, Mark Ballas, is out – for a very good, and exciting, reason. Mark has landed the role of Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys on Broadway. I have to share, I saw Jersey Boys in May, and it’s a fantastic show. As a longtime fan of Dancing with the Stars, I’m a little bit bummed that I saw it ahead of Mark’s run in the show, but ya know, maybe I will just go see it again.
Mark makes his Broadway debut on October 18. He will be there until January 15, when, sadly, Jersey Boys will close after 11 years and over 4,000 shows.
Back to DWTS news, Season 23 includes Rick Perry, Ryan Lochte, Calvin Johnson, Amber Rose, Vanilla Ice, Little Women: LA star Terra Jole, James Hinchcliffe, Kenny “Baby Face” Edmonds, Jana Kramer, Laurie Hernandez, Jake Austin, Marilu Henner, and Maureen McCormick.

Newsflash! Matt Ericson [Grundhoffer] is not a good guy. But Little Women: LA star Briana Renee likes to think so, and has been campaigning the public to fall in line for a number of years now. Guess what, Briana? It ain’t gonna happen!
Briana’s own father, Robert Kealiher, has been very vocal about his feelings on Briana Renee’s marriage, namely that Matt has manipulated her into a near state of total isolation from family and friends ever since he appeared on the scene. But now the stakes are higher – despite having announced to the world that their son Maverick Jax was born in late June of this year, Briana and Matt are still barring Briana‘s parents from meeting their infant grandson.

Kealiher didn’t mince words when he told Radar Online that his son in law Matt “is a bad person,” accusing him of finding “someone naive and gullible who he can control.”
Briana has staunchly defended Matt since day one, despite his many public infidelities and shameful behavior – many of which occurred while Briana was pregnant with their child. After the couples’ Ride Or Die special last spring, which featured a downtrodden Briana “forgiving” Matt for all of his disgusting public indiscretions, viewers were in shock. Some even called for a ban on Lifetime of Briana and Matt from future installments of LWLA, citing their toxic relationship as too damaging to watch – even for reality TV!
Briana’s father agrees that it’s all become so bizarre, his family cannot make sense of it anymore. Of his daughter, he reports, “I haven’t talked to her. She hasn’t called. It’s the same thing. We respect what they do and we keep our distance.”
Defending her choice to keep son Maverick away from her parents, Briana told Radar back in July that “my family has never supported my marriage nor my pregnancy, and thus has not earned the privilege to feign concern for their own personal gain.” She also claims her father “spread lies” about Matt. Which begs the question: Who can possibly smear Matt’s character more than MATT HIMSELF!?

Yet these same parents are deemed fit to frequently take care of Briana’s firstborn daughter, Leiana. Kealiher says, “We don’t say anything to Leiana about Matt or his behavior. She’ll see it in the end.” Sad, but true.
For now, Kealiher says he and his wife are just trying to care for Leiana the best they can, while ensuring she engages in educational activities at their home. He claims Leiana “says she plays video games” at Briana’s home.
Briana, who has been lied to over and over (and over) again by her husband, seems to have directed her rage at her parents ever since Matt began to completely control her entered her life. She claims it’s not Matt who’s lying; it’s her parents. “No one who spreads lies is allowed in my life. Or the lives of my children,” she said in defense of keeping baby Maverick away from her family.
Another day, another delusion. It doesn’t look like this feud is ending anytime soon. However, new developments are on the horizon as next week’s Little Women: LA reveals shocking details about Matt’s illicit sexts with transgender model Plastic Martyr. Although these accusations are huge, I’m sure Matt will just have another excuse locked and loaded and, tragically, Briana will be more than ready to take another bullet.

Melissa Gorga, feminist icon? We never really expected to type those words, but with what we've seen this season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, it's becoming undeniable. As...Sadly, last week may have possibly held the only tender moment we’ll see on this season’s Flipping Out, as Jeff Lewis has officially lost his one remaining marble. With the stress of their Valley Vista remodel looming before them, the drama with Zoila Chavez behind them, and the promise of a new life joining them soon, Gage Edward and Jeff are at a crossroads. Instead of using his big boy coping strategies like therapist Dr. Donna suggested, Jeff instead opts for a full nuclear meltdown with a side of rage. At Gage, at architects, at ducks, at mailboxes. You name it! He’s on a tear.
Since Silent Matt has left, Gage has been picking up some major slack. But Jeff chooses to mercilessly rag on him in the car on their way to a job site anyway. In the back seat, Gage is at his breaking point as Jenni Pulos sits in the front seat awkwardly trying to diffuse the situation with a combination of whispery mantras and subtle side-eyes. Suddenly, we flash back to three days prior to see how they ended up in this pressure cooker of resentment.

The build up to this moment involves a virtual pyramid of stress blocks, beginning with Jeff’s realization that a family of ducks living at his pool have gone away. Jeff rescued the mama duck’s seven ducklings the day before after his dog Oliver scared the bejeezus out of them. He herded them up, brought them back to mama, and built ramps out of two-by-fours so the ducklings could climb in and out of his pool. He was, in effect, experiencing Extreme Duck Co-Dependence.
Basically, Jeff is turning into Tony Soprano, Season 1. At the end of this episode, I fully expect Jeff to be drunk in a bathrobe, fully submerged in the pool, crying.
But now the ducks are gone. And Zoila is assigned the task of texting Jeff as soon as they’re found. These ducklings do not realize the full force of their metaphorical existence, but they are obviously representing some crazy-deep stuff for Jeff. He is not well, or as Zoila describes him: “Is cuckoo.” The ducks are his salvation!
Out on client calls, Jeff hits Hania’s home, which he’s basically consulting on for free, as well as Chaz Dean’s studios, which are always a hot mess. Chaz’s five projects keep Jeff Lewis Design hoppin’, but with the departure of Matt as project manager, Gage has had to take over – in addition to his thousand and three other duties. Jeff and Chaz just snark that “finally Gage has to step up!” though, which is simply unfair. Not to mention, a very cheap shot.
In therapy with Dr. Donna, Jeff reports he’s thrilled with the new 3-day work week for Zoila. But he’s devastated about the duck family! Dr. Donna wonders if Jeff’s paternal instincts are kicking in early, but those of us who’ve watched FO for the past nine seasons know how much Jeff truly loves animals. The ducks, however, seem to be representing something much deeper, and possibly darker?
Jeff admits he’s stressed in his relationship with Gage, and he knows the baby will add even more stress. Jeff doesn’t always know where he stands with Gage. He also suspects there’s things Gage needs in a relationship that he’s not getting, but he doesn’t know what they are. His biggest fear is that he’s not making Gage happy. “There’s something up with him right now and I don’t know what it is,” confesses Jeff.
Back at Valley Vista, the ducks are still AWOL. Zoila sees one though! Jeff practically sprints to check and, sure enough, one is back. Jenni astutely notes that Jeff is projecting a lot of his fears onto the well being of these ducks, which have taken on the herculean task of physically representing Jeff’s fragile psyche. Jenni predicts a total and complete mental breakdown in 3…2…1… I hate to admit it, but Jenni is usually right in these cases.
Disquieted by the duck disappearance, Jeff snaps at Gage in the office about Chaz’s project, and more specifically, Gage’s project management. Gage pushes back that Jeff needs to draw some lines (read: boundaries) around this project if he wants it run to his exact specifications. Instead of doing so, Jeff moves on to b*tching about some sort of ant infestation. Why can’t anyone in this office who is doing NOTHING all day call an EXTERMINATOR! he rages. Gage leaves, snarking lightly on the way out. Jeff snaps, “Oh, shut the f–k up” at his back as Gage walks away. Wow. Ouch!
Jenni then (hilariously) asks Jeff as gently as possible, “How was therapy?” just after the blow up. Jeff doesn’t know. He doesn’t care. He is losing it and wouldn’t know a coping skill from a duck ramp at this point. Jenni silently moves a little farther away from him, probably hoping she isn’t his next target.
After escaping the office, Jenni goes to do something much less stressful: IVF egg harvesting. She’s moving on from IUI! Jenni calls her mom on the way to the clinic, who asks if Jenni’s sure she wants to do this? Jenni is sure, despite her mother’s misgivings. Seems like mom is not on board.
At their Hollywood remodel, Jeff, Gage, and Vanina Alfaro meet with the architect of their demise. You know what they say about the best laid plans? Well, they ain’t viable. Jason, the architect, is moving at a snail’s pace. Jeff wants everything sped up and blames himself for being “too nice” to Jason along the way. He wants design to end, build to start. But Jason is as OCD about his plans as Jeff is about all of his juices facing forward in the fridge. Essentially, he’s built for comfort, not speed. Jason does promise that plans will be done and submitted by next week though.
At the fertility clinic, Jenni and her husband Jonathan wait for the procedure that will retrieve her eggs. It’s emotionally draining and Jenni is scared of the process, but she wants to have another baby, period. She wants her daughter to have a sibling, come hell or high water. After the procedure, Jenni is thrilled to find out that the doctor was able to harvest 26 eggs. She’s hopeful.
In the car sometime later, Jeff and Jenni call Gage, who sounds down in the dumps. So Jeff razzes Gage about Matt “leaving him” and how he’s just going to have to cry it out! Gage is silent, possibly adopting Matt’s old coping skill in his grief.
Back at Hollywood, Jeff confronts Jason about not making the deadline of submitting plans. And it will take weeks after submission for work to start, so delays at the start just have a domino effect the entire way down the line. The pool hasn’t been approved yet either. Jeff is incensed, but he is essentially “chained to this guy,” who he now basically hates.
Jeff hardcore berates Jason in his talking head, claiming he’s the WORST architect he’s ever had the displeasure of working with! Jeff is even losing hair and getting shots in his head at the dermatologists over this stress, yo! Drama, thy name is Jeff Lewis.
The mealy-mouthed Jason is super annoying though, and waiting on someone else dragging their feet is maddening. Jeff and Gage have no recourse in this situation however, so they must just deal. And eat their feelings. And drink. You know, like usual!
At Chaz’s remodel, Jeff, Gage, and Jenni look at floor samples which Jeff declares all “terrible.” He then freaks out about a vacuum, pins, and screws – in that order. Jenni sort of flees the scene in a circular pattern, much like a headless chicken, while Jeff barks at Gage that he SHOULD BE MANAGING THIS!!!!!!!!!!
Gage doesn’t need to manage pins and screws and vacuums though. He needs to manage his relationship. “It just has gotten to a point where something better change or this will not work,” declares Gage to the cameras. He doesn’t want to parent like this with Jeff, and even admits that he’s considered moving out. It’s just too toxic.
Days after Jeff Meltdown #104, Jenni and Jeff are walking to the car as she cries about her disappointing news: Her doctor says her IVF chances are very low based on her retrieved eggs. They weren’t viable. Jeff asks Vanina to be sensitive to her situation, which is rich coming from him! But he does think Jenni should get a second opinion, perhaps from the doctor he originally recommended.
Oh lord. Back at Hollywood, Jeff, Jenni, and Gage bring in a new architect, Bill, to “assist” Jason. Not looking happy about the situation, Jason really has no choice but to get task-mastered by the much more thorough Bill. Right off the bat, Jason doesn’t have a lot of concrete answers for Bill. And he looks like he’s spraying diarrhea in his dress pants under the table. But Jeff is thrilled with the new team! Wahoooo! This house might get built after all. #BillForTheWin
In the car later on the way to therapy, Jeff and Gage call Zoila to arrange her work schedule. And to distract themselves from the inevitable sh*tstorm awaiting them at Dr. Donna’s.
Meanwhile, Jenni is at the fertility clinic again to consult about her chances. This time she’s seeing Dr. Potter for a second opinion. After discussing her situation, Dr. Potter encourages Jenni that her chances are not zero. She still has a fighting shot at IVF success in his opinion, which makes her tear up with gratitude.
At another doctor’s office, Jeff and Gage are perched on the couch, ready for combat. Jeff wonders if Gage is unhappy? Gage feels there are major problems in their relationship, namely Jeff’s explosions lately. He can’t just reset to normal after Jeff’s episodes. Jeff thinks Gage is too sensitive, so he literally starts yelling at him about being sensitive. Irony at its best.
Gage bitterly laughs that Jeff just showed Dr. Donna the EXACT nature of their relationship in this very outburst. If Gage would fight back, he thinks Jeff would escalate even more. Which, yeah. He’s more concerned that their baby will pick up on this toxic stress, which Dr. Donna agrees, she will. Of course she will!!
Their relationship is mixed up at this point, says Dr. Donna, and they need to get back to the reasons why they got together in the first place. “I realized I met someone just as broken as I am, and I thought: This is perfect!” jokes Jeff. Gage chuckles. Jeff adds that in all seriousness, he likes Gage for his stability and maturity. Gage likes Jeff for his good looks and passionate drive. He also loves how much Jeff takes care of people; at his core, he’s an incredibly warm person even if he shows it in unconventional ways.
Gage and Jeff used to have fun together to – like in 2010! But they need to get back to focusing on the fun, not just the work, in their relationship. They also need lotsa, lotsa therapy. Let’s see if they’re willing to try. If not for them, for the baby’s sake.
