Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 Episode 7 Recap: Shannon Melts Down – Again

Last week, half the Real Housewives of Orange County ladies took a trip to La Quinta. But after roasting Gina over an open flame like a S’more, things took a turn for the worse. In this week’s episode entitled “The Gloves Are Off,” Shannon opens up about an impending lawsuit from John, which leaves her in tears. Gina and Emily are at one another’s throats after Heather hijacked the original conversation. But Tamra, Katie, and Jen all seemed to have an ice trip to Big Bear, that is, until Alexis gets a call that sends her spiraling. Here is your Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 7 recap.

The prosecution rests?

You have to give it to the ladies as they know how to enjoy a night away from their families. Each household is waking up with a whopper of a hangover. Shannon is passionate about the stacks and stacks of receipts that she has saved, proving that she paid for John over the years. Shannon has always said that she paid for every single thing when it came to her relationship with John, but she tends to exaggerate. According to the mother of three, he never paid for a meal or plane ticket. That said, Shannon isn’t exactly known for her truth-telling skills, bless her. In her confessional, Heather notes that Shannon’s whole issue was whether he was ever committed to her if he couldn’t pick up a meal, like not even a Burger King. 

I don’t know about you, but I love some Heather logic. The podcaster made a valid argument, as the ladies now question whether John’s $75,000 lawsuit is credible. Shannon claimed the money was an attempt to pay her back and was ALLEGEDLY a gift. Which, of course she does. Heather notes, “Here’s the problem. The whole reason why Shannon has been upset all these years has been that he really committed to her if he couldn’t even pick up a meal.” Heather adds, “This is why you always have to wait to hear the defense; the prosecution tells a very good story. Shannon is the prosecution.” If ever I were in trouble, I’d want Heather on my defense team; I’m just saying. 

Big Bear breakdown on Real Housewives of Orange County

As viewers met up with the Big Bear crew, we got to see a side of Jen that we hadn’t met yet. Alexis asked if her ex-husband, Will, had been able to pick the kids up on time. Jen revealed that she wished she, Will, and Laura (Will’s girlfriend and Jen’s former friend) could communicate better. Tamra then whips out her Instagram to show Jen a video of their family night, leading her to burst into tears. Jen is stressed as she shares, “In this video, Will is big and full of life. But that isn’t how he was with me. And that’s a hard pill to swallow.” It was also nice to see Katie, Alexis, and Tamra open up about their feelings regarding divorce. Dare I say it brought the mini-group closer. 

La Quinta fallout

Nobody wants to play pickleball when you are staying at a multi-million dollar mansion. But at least you don’t have to wait for the courts. And there are some cute outfits. After it was clear that neither Emily nor Gina had any athleticism, the women got down to business. I hate seeing two good friends fight. Emily came in hot, accusing Gina of letting Heather manipulate her in a fantastic Godfather montage. And I have to say, she ain’t wrong. Gina has fallen on the sword one too many times to stay in Heather’s good graces.

But Gina has her own worries and notes she doesn’t want to see Emily become “The Grand Bitch.” What kind of title is this? Should the Grand Dame, Karen Huger, be worried? But before we can even question the royal title, Gina has lost her sh*t. The Long Island native turned into a mini John McEnroe as she threw her rackets and balls and started cursing. Luckily, a locked door and sprinklers brought these two back together rather quickly.

As both trips wound down, Alexis received a phone call from Johnny J, and it was not good. Alexis took refuge in the guest bathroom with Katie by her side. Lex was in tears—literal tears over something Shannon allegedly had done to John. Even with productions’ urging, Alexis declared she wasn’t at liberty to discuss what pushed her John to the limit.

But it seems our newbie, Katie, got the hot goss. And it turns out John has Ring camera footage of Shannon allegedly almost running over his daughter. Jesus, take the wheel (away from Shannon, PLEASE)! Last week, viewers were privy to information after Alexis revealed having video footage that would ruin Shannon’s life. However, the episode ends with Shannon revealing during her sit down with Tamra that her lawyer made an offer that John could refuse.

Love Island USA’s Kaylor Martin: ‘Said a Bit More Than What I Needed to Say’ at Reunion

Kaylor Martin has decided that enough is enough. She admits that she may have “said more than what I needed to say” at the Love Island USA reunion but she’s through shedding tears for Aaron Evans.

The Love Island USA contestant was entangled in an emotional summer romance with Aaron which had its share of ups and downs. But she’s now in a better and stronger place and isn’t looking back.

No more tears for Kaylor Martin

It’s no secret that Kaylor shed a lot of tears over Aaron. So much so that the cast even commented on it while looking at clips of the two.

And while Kaylor admits she does tend to cry quite a bit in general, she left her tears for Aaron at the villa. What’s more, she finally said her piece during the reunion after Aaron admitted that his hookup with Casa Amor’s Daniela Ortiz-Rivera went further than he’d previously shared.

“I think I said a bit more than what I needed to say at the reunion, Kaylor admitted to E! News. “I was coming from a place of anger, and I feel like it doesn’t really describe my character as well. But you know, the bear can be poked so many times before it explodes.”

She added, “So instead of crying, you saw the other side of Kaylor, which I think America didn’t really get to see this summer.”

She may have a few regrets about going off at the reunion, but overall Kaylor is glad she stood her ground.

“I’m really proud of myself for finally realizing my worth,” she added. “A lot of the time, I underestimate myself and I don’t acknowledge that. I really needed to be there for myself, and I think I was, maybe a little too much.”

During the reunion, Aaron shocked everyone by sharing insight into his time with Daniela. This set Kaylor off about him not being honest with her.

“I’m tired of the f–cking excuses,” she said. “Take accountability and be a f–cking man. I just saw you the last three f–cking days in New York and you haven’t said that to me once.” 

She couldn’t hold it in any longer. “Why do you keep f–cking lying to me? I cannot believe I wasted my entire f–cking summer on you, Aaron,” she finished.

And it looks like Kaylor isn’t wasting any more time. She posted a video on social media that made it pretty clear that she’s single and ready to mingle.

“I love Aaron and I will love him for a while,” Kaylor shared. “I think it’s going to take a lot of time, but the way things went down this summer really broke me.”

Why It’s Wrong for Alexis Bellino to Threaten Shannon Beador DUI Video Release

Alexis Bellino has come in hot after her respite from the Real Housewives of Orange County. Alexis didn’t have a huge fan base back in the day and now viewers are wondering exactly what her intentions are in her highly-toted return.

Fans were split when Bravo announced Alexis would be back on RHOC. But the series needed a bit of a shake-up. However, I can’t help but feel this shake-up has come at the expense of Shannon Beador. The longtime cast member has had a rough couple of years. Between her divorce from David Beador, break up with John Janssen, and multiple lawsuits, Shannon can’t catch a break. She also didn’t do herself any favors by choosing to drive drunk. I was looking forward to Alexis and Shannon interacting, but where it stands now, I don’t like where the murky path is headed. 

Alexis Bellino won’t be silenced

During the newest episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County, Alexis let all her cards show. I understand that Alexis wants to protect John Janssen, but is she taking it too far? During her Kumbayah moment with Tamra Judge, Katie Ginella, and Jen Pedranti, Lex really opened up. 

Alexis explained that John is more than ready for war in the form of a video drop. According to “Happy Go-lucky Lexi,” her new beau has a handful of videos from the night Shannon got her DUI. As fans know, Shannon crashed her car into a home and tried to pretend she was walking her dog, Archie. The room immediately fell silent, and Jen became quite concerned. The squatter asked, “Has anyone thought what this would do to Shannon? To her family? In my opinion, it’s wrong.” The answer is no. That said, Shannon could always… not drive while she’s loaded.

Fans question Alexis Bellino’s moral high ground

Now, I am not saying what Shannon did was right. Not by a long shot. Alexis always states that she is a true Christian, but this move doesn’t seem very Christian at all. Alexis isn’t even the injured party here, but if her “other half” is attacked, she will go on the defense. The drama is really between John and Shannon.

Does Alexis Bellino want to fight with Shannon Beador?

The moment the season premiered, it felt as if Alexis wanted a major argument with Shannon. Let’s look at the facts. Alexis’ storyline is that she is dating John. But remember, she was already back on the show before she hooked up with him. The first sign of trouble came during Heather Dubrow’s party. Shannon and Alexis agreed to chat outside. Shannon tried to state her point, but Alexis just kept talking. The conversation escalated, with Alexis raising her voice and spouting, “There’s the door, Shannon Beador,” which felt very rehearsed. 

Seeing John on FaceTime just solidified to me as a viewer that Alexis isn’t interested in befriending Shannon. I understand the premise of any Real Housewives show is to bring the drama, and drama is happening on RHOC.

I question Alexis’ motives, especially after she added, “It will ruin her life. The videos are definitely horrific. Once I saw them, I couldn’t go back to feeling the same about her.”
