Real Housewives of Miami Season 6, Episode 11 Recap: Unstoppable Nicole vs. Immovable Alexia and Marysol

The Real Housewives of Miami Season 6, Episode 11, titled “Invite Only,” came hot off the heels of last week’s explosive Mother’s Day brunch. While things seemed to cool down, tension still lurked as Nicole was purposefully left off the guestlist for Marysol’s get-together. Meanwhile, Lisa still strongly felt her beef with Alexia, and Guerdy decided she’d had enough. All this and more on RHOM Season 6, Episode 11.

Marysol hires a medium and burns sage

Before the real fuses could be lit, fans were treated to a few moments of wholesomeness between the Housewives and their kids. Lisa gave her daughter Elle some blueberries, Larsa and Marcus picked up her daughter Sofia from the airport, and Frankie helped Alexia pack up her things (sort of).

Meanwhile, Marysol sat down with her husband, Steve, after doing some preparations for her upcoming party. That’s when Steve’s sons, Garrett and Hunter showed up, and Marysol got the chance to reflect on the motherhood experience between her and them. She felt she was more of a “big sister” to them, and was able to “keep it light.”

A medium then arrived, because of course. Marysol felt there were bad vibes all over the house, and as such, hired a man to tell her exactly what she wanted to hear. As they burned some sage in one of the house’s backrooms, Steve’s sons showed some skepticism on their faces. “It just smells,” one of them said.

Guerdy’s recovering while Nicole’s being framed

Meanwhile, two days after her surgery, Guerdy was still recovering with Russell as her loyal errand boy. Guerdy admitted she could “be a demanding bitch,” and encouraged Russell to “spank her.” Then, Nicole and Julia decided to pay their friend a visit, bringing orchids and smoothies.

Guerdy explained the soreness she was feeling even though the doctors said the surgery had gone well. Still, she had to wait for the pathology results, which, as Nicole explained, would determine whether Guerdy needed chemo, radiation, or anything else.

The conversation turned to the Mamacita lunch, and how frustrated Nicole was that Alexia and Marysol were blaming her for having invited Ana Quincoces to the festivities. Nicole, Guerdy, and especially Julia all knew that Adriana was truly to blame. That’s when a text came through to Guerdy – an invitation to Marysol’s party … but with Nicole excluded from the group chat.

Nicole said, “I don’t need a group of friends like this … I don’t want friends that think such sh*tty things about me,” though, she was visibly hurt as she began tearing up. “These girls never think the best of me.” Julia said she’d persuade Adriana to apologize, but Nicole figured everyone would remain set in their ways.

As such, Nicole vowed to remove herself from all future get-togethers until she received an apology.

Logan Hochstein’s new bank account

The theme of child-rearing continued as, on a rainy day, Lisa took her son Logan to the bank so he could set up an account. Lisa said she wanted her children to “understand the value of a dollar,” especially as she was about to downsize her living space.

Lisa described to Logan and the camera in a confessional how hard she worked from the time she was 13 years old. She told of her time at Dairy Queen, as a babysitter, at Aldo Shoes, Footlocker, as a go-go dancer, and as a Hooters employee. In a display of good parenting, Lisa told Logan she didn’t want wealth to go to his head.

As she reflected on her past work experiences, Lisa expressed some pretty surprising self-awareness. She explained how she’d gotten comfortable with Lenny and lost her good work ethic. She told Logan that he wanted him to be proud of her, and wanted to provide a good life for him.

Larsa and Marcus reflect on privilege

From there, Larsa and her daughter Sofia caught up with each other over dinner. While Larsa found it hard to have Sofia living in L.A., she knew that Miami was her home. She was simply happy to make it work with her daughter.

As Marcus stepped away for a moment, Larsa asked Sofia if she was comfortable with having him around. He is, after all, the son of Sofia’s father’s biggest rival. Sofia hesitated, so Larsa showed some empathy and said how she figured it wasn’t easy to be around a man who wasn’t her dad. Sofia nodded. However, when asked if she had to pick someone, Sofia said, “It would be him.”

Marcus showed how well he got along with Sofia – sometimes more than Larsa would’ve liked. Marcus conceded that he and Sofia would gang up on Larsa sometimes. Larsa said she felt her kids weren’t spoiled. Marcus, on the other hand, with more of a level head, explained that both he and Larsa’s children were “privileged.”

Larsa didn’t think so, but a producer jumped in and said, “They fly private, Larsa.” Marcus added that he didn’t even know what a commercial flight was until he was 16. Well, at least he could acknowledge his privilege.

Alexia’s house hunting (without Todd)

Speaking of privilege, Alexia’s time came to house hunt. Before criticizing Alexia too hard, I will say, it’s ridiculous that Todd put all the pressure on Alexia to find them a new place. As she pointed out, Todd’s the one with the real estate license. Moreover, Alexia was extremely conscious of Frankie, his safety, and his routines.

Still, it wasn’t all level-headed thinking for Alexia. She griped more than once about the size of the place, particularly the walk-in closet. But as it turned out, the price to rent the place would be even more than the rate at which they rented their previous place.

But as Alexia’s realtor explained, there were hardly any units to show. Places were being scooped up left and right. Alexia realized she sounded like an “asshole,” but she’d become used to a certain way of living, and for her, the gorgeous beach house just wasn’t it.

Julia’s awkward arrival to Marysol’s party

Soon enough, it was time for Marysol’s Gifting Party to officially begin. She was happy to share everything she loved with her friends. Free jewelry, clothing, skin-care products, and flowers for everyone. “It’s a Marysol party,” she said.

Julia arrived at the party just after Alexia and Kiki, and she was notably nervous. She had one mission – to defend Nicole. But that ambition made her anxious. When she walked in, the girls noted her discomfort. “It’s us, Julia,” Kiki said, wondering just what was going on with her.

That’s when the conversation moved to Miami Swim Week, which both Kiki and Julia would be modeling for. Julia revealed it to be her first show in 20-plus years, and that gave her mixed feelings. Kiki was glad to give the girls an event at which to support her since she was too often the supporter herself.

Why Nicole wasn’t invited to Marysol’s party

Kiki soon asked who else was coming, specifically asking if Nicole would be there. Marysol admitted she needed some space from Nicole after what happened at the Mother’s Day party. When the topic shifted to Nicole, Julia jumped in to try and play defense, but Alexia and Marysol weren’t having it.

“Nicole … says she has the highest IQ,” Alexia pointed out. “You know who Ana is, and you know why you brought her hear.” Julia kept trying to explain what truly happened, but she might as well have been talking to a wall. Adriana and Guerdy soon arrived and broke up the tension.

Everyone was glad to see Guerdy just four days after her surgery. Guerdy was all too happy to be there, engaging in “retail therapy.” Adriana told the cameras that Marysol was doing what she did best, “Using her PR contacts to buy friends. It’s working.”

Adriana confesses … but no one cares

Real Housewives of Miami Season 6, Episode 11

When the girls sat down to eat, they had to discuss Mother’s Day. Everyone began arguing about who was to blame for Ana’s presence. Julia said, “Nicole is getting a f*cking beating for something that she does not deserve.” From there, Julia tried to get Adriana to fess up, and, in Portuguese, Adriana tried to tell her to drop it. “Don’t start,” she said. “Stop that now.”

Adriana felt as though the Thelma and Louise dynamic between her and Julia was suddenly soured as Julia was attempting to jump out of the car before it went off the cliff. Kiki hoped Nicole was on a private yacht or plane enjoying her time away from “the sh*t show.”

With persuasion from Julia, Adriana agreed to confess. “I invited Ana with Nicole’s blessing,” she said. Adriana explained that she was hoping to expose Alexia’s hypocrisy with Lisa. Alexia suggested Lisa drive anyone’s car but Lenny’s, meanwhile, Alexia was driving Todd’s car. But as Alexia pointed out, that was not the same situation in the slightest.

As Julia still tried to defend Nicole, Alexia, and Marysol wouldn’t have it. In their confessionals, Alexia and Marysol essentially said they were fed up with Adriana being Adriana and needed to redirect their anger elsewhere. Thus, Nicole was receiving so much heat despite Adriana’s confession. Adriana could live with that.

Lisa arrives two hours late to start sh*t

That’s when Lisa entered the party (two hours late). She still felt burned after Palm Beach, despite her friends just trying to look out for her. Lisa’s biggest weakness this season has been her inability to take criticism. But she wasn’t about to back down now. As she entered Marysol’s party, she went straight for Alexia.

Guerdy approached Lisa, just to say hey, but despite Lisa’s brief moment of concern, once Guerdy said she was fine, Lisa went straight back for Alexia. Lisa claimed Alexia was talking “sh*t”, and Alexia responded, “Saying the truth is not talking sh*t.”

Alexia said they could no longer throw Lisa “a pity party,” and Lisa said Alexia always talked over people (with no self-awareness). As Lisa and Alexia began arguing, Guerdy, Kiki, and Julia gave us perhaps some of the best reaction shots in Housewives’ history. Guerdy in particular looked extremely detached.

“I’m in another galaxy,” Guerdy admitted to the camera. She stood up to go and tried to say bye to her friends, but neither Lisa nor Alexia noticed. Once she had their attention, Guerdy admitted she’d be having a second surgery on Tuesday. Her friends followed her as she walked out the door.

Guerdy’s second surgery and how her friends can help

The news of a second surgery was unexpected, even for Guerdy. Considering the doctors told her the first surgery had gone so well, she was not ready to accept the reality of another appointment. She’d been told in the Uber on the way to the party. She tried to bottle it up, but with all the drama, she couldn’t any longer.

“I’m just tired of the bullsh*t,” she said as she was leaving. Her friends asked what they could do for her, and Guerdy pleaded with them to remember that they were friends, and they weren’t out to hurt each other intentionally. “Do me a favor,” she said, “You wanna help me? Make it f*cking right.”

Alexia attributed Guerdy’s attitude to her medical situation, but in all honesty, Guerdy was just being as real as can be. Alexia and Marysol need to quit the pettiness. Still, Alexia said she would “expect to have a conversation with Nicole and for her to own it.” Oh boy. As Guerdy sobbed her way into a car, Julia wanted to take personal responsibility to fix everything.

The Real Housewives of Miami Season 6 continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Southern Charm Season 9 Reunion Preview: JT Wants To Exorcise Austen Kroll

JT Thomas on Watch What Happens Live
Photo By: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

The Southern Charm Season 9 finale brought some firsts to the reality TV show. Someone finally reached their limit with Austen Kroll, though he wasn’t headbutted by one of his disillusioned conquests, but by JT Thomas. The Pillows and Beer podcast co-host pushed him first though, with JT perched on a bar stool in order to be eye to eye with the Southern Charm bad-boy.

Austen had an epiphany of sorts when he realized that JT’s constant confrontations of him were driven by his feelings for Taylor Ann Green. That, and a bit of proper southern honor, perhaps.

All the drama from Austen’s kiss with the self-proclaimed embodiment of the scarlet letter reverberated within the group. If for nothing else, that the group rallied around Olivia Flowers after dealing with the tragic death of her brother and the fallout of Taylor’s poor judgement.

Southern Charm Season 9 reunion preview: Andy has to step in and diffuse the situation

So the Southern Charm Season 9 reunion promises to bring extra drama. And in a clip for the highly-anticipated event, JT continued his beef with Austen by suggesting the Southern Charm star undergo an exorcism. This guy is really hoping to get an “aha” moment from the Pillows and Beer podcast co-host.

Host Andy Cohen began the reunion, as he always does, by greeting the cast. And upon asking JT how he felt about his first reunion, he answered in a surprising manner.

“I think I’m gonna perform the first ever f*ck boy exorcism. On him,” the Southern Charm newbie said as he gestured to his nemesis. “That demon’s coming out today boy. I’m gonna work you.”

Austen snarked, “Boy? Who is this guy?”

“The power of JT compels you,” Shep quipped. The rest of the cast laughed in response.

Andy chose to diffuse the situation. He said, “Hey, JT, it’s minute one of the reunion. I do appreciate coming in hot, but, we’re gonna get to everything.”

Perhaps an exorcism is in order for Austen. Therapy really doesn’t seem to be doing the job.

Catch Southern Charm, Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Below Deck Med’s Max Salvador Confuses Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live

Max Salvador on Below Deck Med
Photo By: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo via Getty Images

The Below Deck Mediterranean deck crew had a hard time dealing with Max Salvador. He is a unique character, and needed a lot of coddling by bosun Luka Brunton. The French native needed his food and nap time, just like a toddler. Otherwise some hangry feelings came out.

In one notable moment, Max complained about carrying a picnic set up to a castle at the top of a hill. Lara Du Preez had to do the majority of the heavy lifting, as per usual. But his behavior was not isolated to one incident. It seems Max generally had an issue unless we was properly rested, watered, and fed.

And it’s something that a viewer asked the Below Deck Med star about during his recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

Max explained why he didn’t help out at the castle lunch on Below Deck Med

Host Andy Cohen asked Max if he regretted, “not pitching in to help set up the castle excursion because you were in bed and tired when Luka radioed you.”

Max answered with his unique enthusiasm. The heavy French accent just adds to the comedic experience.

“Yes. Let’s be clear on that,” he said. “Why a castle is made? It’s to be out of reach right? So imagine, back in the days, like people were struggling on that. And me, I have to set up by myself a picnic to attack a castle.” You’re welcome for the translation.

Max may have made the most genius point in all Below Deck history. A castle was meant to be an impenetrable fortress, not a nosh-spot for some nouveau riche to take Instagram pics. Why send a team up there with a picnic pack? It’s just not realistic.

“Ok so, of course I was tired. Like, the thing is like this,” Max gestured a steep incline. “Obviously, you see, I carried all the bottles and everything.”

He continued to defend his fatigue, as he has made a habit of doing. It didn’t quite make sense, but his enthusiasm helped him pull it off.

“Of course I’m tired. I’m not a Super Outlet. I’m big end, you know? And even Super Outlet will have a tryant,” Max concluded. Not quite sure what that means, but who cares? The accent is all we need.

Catch Below Deck Mediterranean, Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion, Part 1 Recap: Monica’s Caught in a Lie

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion Part 1 recap

Welcome to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion, Part 1 recap. There’s a lot to get through! Lisa explains the significance of the $60,000 ring she lost at the Palm Springs airport. Monica clarifies her relationship with Jen Shah and how she got on the show. Plus, Angie revisits the rumor about her husband being gay. But what about the elephant in the room? Monica warns us, “There is so much more to the story, and trust me, you’re all gonna want to hear it.” Here are the highlights from the RHOSLC Season 4 reunion, Part 1.

Why the $60,000 ring was such a big deal

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion Part 1

“This season, new housewife Monica stepped out of her Range Rover and right into a snowstorm of drama,” Andy begins. “Through it all this newbie was never afraid to keep it 100 with Salt Lake City’s one percent.”

Turning to Monica, Andy asks, “Why were you so annoyed about Lisa carrying on about the $60,000 ring? … If you had lost a $60,000 ring, you’d be freaking out about it.”

“Lisa had every right to be upset about losing her ring,” Monica responds. “What I didn’t like was that [she kept repeating the $60,000 price tag].”

At this point, Lisa jumps in to explain that she only said the price three times. “Everybody processes things differently,” she says. “For me, losing that [ring] was a big deal. Henry almost died after I had him, and John gave me that ring, because I was like, ‘I don’t know if we’re going to be able to have more kids’ … That meant more than just a ring that I wear on my finger. Every time I look at it, [I think of] our two beautiful babies.”

Monica says, “That’s beautiful. I didn’t know any of that.”

“To me it’s a symbol,” Lisa tearfully explains. “It was sentimental.” Sadly, the ring was never seen again. Insurance did pay out so she could get another one, though.

Who took the ring?

Andy then shifts the conversation to a rumor that Monica was the one who snatched the ring. “Where do you think the rumor started?” he asks her.

Monica thinks Lisa and Heather started the rumor, but Lisa vehemently denies any responsibility. Heather admits she thought that Monica may have stolen the ring, but she never said it out loud.

As the argument continues, Angie blurts out, “She didn’t say you took it.”

“Why are you talking, bench-warming bitch?” Monica yells back at her. “This doesn’t even involve you, just like most of the season.” Ouch. That was harsh.

Was Monica even Jen’s employee?

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Reunion Part 1 Recap
Photo: Jocelyn Prescod/Bravo

Moving on, Andy shifts gears and asks Monica, “We learned early on about your connection with Jen Shah. Were you two close friends or how would you describe your relationship?”

“I would describe it as we were friends first,” Monica replies, “and then I was working for her. Then enemies, I guess?”

“She needed help at the time with, honestly, her life,” Monica continues. “Now, looking back and knowing everything, I’m like, ‘Okay, I get it.’ I almost felt like I was just more of a friend … like I would go and get her groceries. I would make sure she was on time to her freaking meetings.”

Monica claims Jen didn’t even pay her. Why? “Honestly, she was my friend, [and] she needed help,” she says. Monica was just “helping her as a friend.” Did you ever notice how many times Monica uses the word “honestly?” I’m always suspicious when people use that word. It kind of implies that they’re normally dishonest.

But Heather brought receipts and pulls out her phone. She plays an audio clip of Monica saying, “F*cking Kim Kardashian was a f*cking assistant, and look at that bitch now! I can fully admit that the whole reason I was an assistant and putting up with that sh*t was as a stepping stone and as a learning experience.”

“So that proves what?” Andy asks Heather. “That she was doing it to get on the show?” Heather nods yes.

How was Monica cast?

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion Part 1
Photo: Jocelyn Prescod/Bravo

“Were you being [Jen’s] assistant to get on the show?” Andy asks Monica.

“I didn’t think I would ever end up on the show, honestly,” she says. “But why wouldn’t I try to get on the show? Honestly, when I applied … I applied just like everybody else sitting here … [by emailing] casting. I said, ‘My name is Monica Fowler, and your show sucks and your ratings are sh*t, and it’s gonna get canceled because you don’t have the right cast.’ That’s what I said. I’m being honest.”

Honestly, she’s not, because Bravo puts her actual email on the screen. It reads, “Reaching out in regards to your casting call! Would love more information on what needs to be done or how to move forward. You guys need a feisty excommunicated Latina on the show immediately. I’m your girl! – Monica F.” Wow. Monica’s just been caught in another lie. And this one might see her booted from the show, if there was any chance of her getting a callback.

“Rumors and nastiness”

Angie Katsanevas at the RHOSLC Season 4 reunion
Photo: Clifton Prescod/Bravo

Andy reads a question from another Andy in Beverly Hills. “Angie, why were you so quick to forgive Monica when she was the one spreading the gay rumors about your husband that literally made him cry, especially since your daughter’s going to see this in the future?”

“At the time, I was really confused,” Angie says. “In the moment, I was really focused on Meredith being the [culprit]. [But] when I went to the dessert shop, Monica really cried. I’m a very empathetic person, I felt sorry for her situation with her mom. I think I gave her a lot of grace, so … I gave her the benefit of the doubt.”

“It was sad seeing Shawn get emotional about the cheating allegations,” Andy continues. “How are you, Shawn, and Elektra doing after all this has aired?”

“Doing great,” Angie chirps. She explains that 30 years ago when they first moved to Salt Lake City, people would comment on her husband’s good looks as he was doing hair and ask if he was gay. Once they realized he had a wife, the rumors and questions settled down.

“So to have this suddenly 30 years later … this has never come up until this rat,” pointing at Monica, “came out of the sewer, and here it is.”

As Meredith would say in Bermuda, boom boom. See you next week for the second part of the three-part RHOSLC reunion.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion, Part 2 airs January 16 at 8/7c on Bravo.

The Trust Premiere on Netflix Recap: Episodes 1-4

The Trust on Netflix

What happens when you put 11 contestants in a stunning location and tell them they’re all winners just by showing up, and will each take home an equal share of a $250,000 grand prize if they can exist peacefully throughout a new social experiment called The Trust, while also allowing them to vote people out and increase their own share through that action? Dishonesty, deceit, and lies, of course! Netflix’s latest social experiment is one for the books, and streamers can watch the first four episodes right now. Here’s everything that went down in The Trust Episodes 1-4.

The Trust Episode 1 Recap

After explaining the rules of the game, host Brooke Baldwin asked the contestants to step forward if they wanted to immediately vote somebody out. Everybody proved they have at least two braincells rubbing together, as nobody took the bait. It would’ve painted an instant target on their back.

But, as Brooke explained, all future votes would be in private, and majority rules. If just one person decided to vote another out, that person would be going home. If a vote resulted in a tie, everybody would be safe. There would also be tests of character scattered throughout the series.

Ahead of the first test, we learned that Juelz was a police officer. Despite that, he’s decided to tell people he’s a “stripper.” He fears their perspective of him will be about what he does, rather than who he is.

The first test exposes some secrets

Brooke brings the group boxes filled with secrets about the players. Somebody must read the secret aloud, and then the group has to guess who it’s about. The twist? The person it’s about doesn’t have to reveal themselves.

Brian is the first to admit a secret is about him. “I believe money is a poison.” We learn that his biological father used to steal money, and so he’s come to resent it in trying to be a different person. He puts peace and happiness first.

Other secrets are read, but perhaps the most interesting is that at 21, somebody became a millionaire. The group accuse realtor Bryce, but he laughs and denies it.

Lindsey takes the opportunity to admit that the secret, “I cheated on an ex-spouse with my current spouse,” was about her. At the time, she was a devout Mormon, her spouse was a serial cheater, and she’d had enough. Her current spouse is now her husband, and they share three children.

Nobody else is quite as forthcoming. “Baby, we got a house full of liars,” quips Winnie.

Introducing The Vault

On day two, it’s revealed that a secret vault lies beneath the house. Two people will gain access, and be presented with two offers. One benefits them individually, while the other benefits the group. One offer MUST be accepted. What happens in the vault, stays in the vault. And to decide the first two people getting that opportunity? Simple luck of the draw.

Juelz and Simone are eventually chosen. Their first offer is to take home $2,500 each out of The Trust, if someone gets cut at the next vote. The second offer is to add $5,000 to The Trust if they block two people’s votes. They select the second offer, blocking Bryce and Tolú’s vote as they are the first two names on the list within the vault.

Tolú, however, isn’t happy. “Nothing in this world is random,” she says in confessional. It’s the “same old sh*t.” She’s constantly had things “stripped away,” and this just reinforces the distrust she was already feeling towards Juelz. She tells Julie, Winnie, and Lindsey – and the group decide to do something about it.

The first vote claims a victim

Juelz’s aura is stinking up the place, at least for Tolú. She feels he’s hiding something, and she’d be right. He’s a cop! So the plan is set. Juelz will be sent home. But with Tolú’s vote blocked, along with Bryce’s, can she trust Julie, Lindsey, and Winnie to follow through? Here’s how the votes played out in Episode 1:

  • Juelz – did not vote
  • Jake – did not vote
  • Bryce – did not vote (blocked)
  • Gaspare – did not vote
  • Simone – did not vote
  • Jay – did not vote
  • Brian – did not vote
  • Julie – voted for Juelz
  • Winnie – voted for Juelz
  • Tolú – voted for Juelz (blocked)
  • Lindsey – voted for Juelz

With The Trust broken, Juelz was sent home. Brian had a highly-emotional response, asking if anybody would “come clean.” He’s now on a mission to cull the voters. Jake says to both him and Gaspare, “Good guys? That’s now in the trash.”

The Trust Episode 2 Recap

While Julie at first seems to be hoping to build a “fantasy” of being with her for Jake, it’s clear she has the hots for the guy. We also learn a little about Julie’s past, as she reveals to Bryce she comes from an absent family. Her mother was abusive, and she never felt love as a kid. She was “abused by people who were supposed to love” her. Bryce tells her she deserves better, while holding onto his secret privileged upbringing.

The slate is wiped clean with the group at brunch. Brian had apologized to Tolú for losing his temper, and she said he shouldn’t ever feel sorry for being “authentically” himself. She’s giving main character energy, and it’s something I’m absolutely here for.

The second test causes more problems

In the second test of the season, the remaining 10 players must rate themselves from “most to least,” in a bunch of different categories. Disagreements immediately flare with the first category, most to least smart. Jake and Julie argue about who should be in the first position, and it’s all a little pathetic. In the end, soldier boy gets his way, and stands firm in the top spot. Jay sends herself right to the bottom of the pack.

Next up is leadership, and Jake begins arranging everybody. He moves Brian up, who admits in confessional he’d rather sit back and slink into the shadows. Winnie doesn’t want to be top, but that’s alright, because Jake has taken that spot for himself. Again. Julie tells them they should swap, but they don’t move. Lindsey notes in confessional that he’ll now be viewed as the “head of the snake.”

Brooke then adds a twist to proceedings. As Jake thinks he’s the best leader, he now must put everyone in order. The category is loyalty. Brian is put right at the top, while Julie is left somewhere in the middle. She’s absolutely furious, but not quite as pissed as Jay, who calls Jake “devious, narcissistic and mean” when he slots himself into second. “We should all aspire to have the confidence of a straight, white man,” Tolú says in confessional.

Jake then has to decide who will take the second trip to the vault. He can choose himself, but instead goes for Gaspare and Bryce, noting Bryce had his power taken. This angers Tolú further, as she too had her vote blocked, but wasn’t even considered.

The vault’s second offer is rubbish either way

I didn’t love these two offers. Both took $10,000 away from The Trust. Unfair much? The first offer would give each of them $5,000 if they voted for the same person at the next ceremony. The second offer would subtract $10,000 from the pot, but protect one person at the next vote. They go for option two, choosing to make Julie immune, because she’s the third name on the list.

Meanwhile, Jay tells her fellow women, “All I’m seeing is misogyny.” She wants Jake gone. The sooner the better. Tolú notes that Jake keeps making reference to her being from Africa, but it’s not once something she’s told him. It’s putting her on edge, and ruining her experience.

But will Julie stick with the women? She feels “real chemistry” with Jake. But he’s also burned a bridge with Lindsey, after she opened up about her marital struggles, just for him to rank her last when it came to loyalty. “Don’t ask me about my family!” she shrieks at him, before storming off. “She’s going around here like a freakin’ lunatic,” Jake says to Brian. Not cool, bro.

Upon their return, Bryce and Gaspare call a meeting. They’re truthful about their decision, but there’s tension in the air. Jay just comes out with it.

“There is nothing I hate more than being dismissed,” says the 70-year-old. “What happened today was very misogynistic … Where is this ego from?” she asks Jake. Simone then asks Jay not to speak for her, as she didn’t feel hurt by Jake’s decisions. But the damage is done.

Jake gets upset and apologizes for letting everyone down. Brian says in confessional that if he has to vote Jake out to protect the rest of the group, he’ll get it done. “We’re in this together.”

Brian is worried about the women. He doesn’t want them to feel uncomfortable around Jake. At the same time, he tells Gaspare, that he is over the “vicious attacks.” He’d much prefer conversations, but Jake has “gotta stop trying to control everything.”

Elsewhere, Bryce feels it’s time to come clean. At least to Lindsey. “I’m really in this for the group,” he tells her, after admitting he is a millionaire.

Another conversation between Winnie, Tolú, and Julie, sees honesty as a running theme. Tolú can tell Julie has been “developing feelings” for Jake, so she doesn’t want her judgment to be clouded. In the end, would she choose the women over him? She says so, but not everybody is convinced. Later, Julie asks Jake to speak to Tolú.

He does, and their conversation is a beautiful one. He sincerely apologizes for bringing her culture into things before she had even opened up about her past to him. “I never wanna hurt you and I’m so, so sorry … You are seen.” As she cries and thanks Jake for his words, it seems the two can put the past behind them, and move forward together in the game.

The second trust ceremony and vote claims another victim

Ahead of the second trust ceremony, Mama Jay reveals to Julie, Winnie, and Tolú that she will be voting somebody out. While the three of them didn’t want to vote, Julie assumes Jay is targeting Jake. In a bid to protect him, will she cast a vote? And in doing so, will this “circle of trust” be broken completely?

At the trust ceremony, Brian asks that everybody “have some grace.” When Julie then asks the table if anyone is going to vote, Jay is rattled. “It was total betrayal,” she says in confessional. Here’s how everybody voted:

  • Tolú – did not vote
  • Winnie – did not vote
  • Jake – did not vote
  • Gaspare – did not vote
  • Bryce – did not vote
  • Brian – did not vote
  • Simone – did not vote
  • Lindsey – did not vote
  • Julie – voted for Simone, to “counteract the wildcard.”
  • Jay – voted for Simone

With just two votes, Simone was sent home in a shocking blindside. “The cancer’s just too deep and it’s spreading,” Simone said after being voted off. Bryce was especially emotional, after forming a bond with Simone earlier on. But the game must continue. And Tolú is playing it. When Julie tells her she voted Simone, she passes that info on to Winnie and Jay. All are pissed Julie asked if anyone was voting at the ceremony. It “threw every woman in this house under the bus,” Winnie suggests.

The third test is actually fun

What better to ease the tension than some shuffleboard? Two boards are in play. One can see players add money to the pot. The other can see them try to grab immunity from the next vote. Surprisingly, every single players tries to add some money to the pot. In the end, they collect $10,000, putting the total back up to $255,000. It’s a nice moment of celebration, after some true emotional trauma.

Later, Julie speaks to Jake. She tells him about the women’s conversation, and how she “cast a vote to protect” him from Jay. He thanks her, and wonders why Jay is “firing at people,” adding that she’s a “loose cannon.” Julie pleads with Jake not to tell the other ladies, and he doesn’t. But actions can speak louder than words.

Return to the vault

It’s another random draw for the vault. Jake gets the opportunity to go, and Bryce is sent right back. The two haven’t connected on an “emotional level,” so this was always going to be interesting.

The first offer was $10,000 each, from The Trust, if someone goes home at the next vote. The second offer would add $2,000 to The Trust for every person who did not vote at the next ceremony.

While the two have Jay in their sights, because they think she sent Simone home, Bryce wants to go for the second offer. He doesn’t wanna be the youngest contestant voting out the oldest. Imagine how that’d look. But Jake says, “Your integrity’s on the line here.” It’s a tough one!

In the end, Bryce wouldn’t budge. He and Jake take the second offer, but Jake’s comments about the previous vote rub Tolú the wrong way. She wants to protect Jay from his “malicious” intent. Meanwhile, Winnie also has her concerns; but about Julie. “I judge you based off your actions and your movements,” she says. Julie’s moves in regards to Jake has the pair on edge.

Jay later tells Winnie she’s “so sick” of Julie and Jake’s “whole game.” Of Jake she adds, “I saved his ass and he has not thanked one of us.” Looks like this one isn’t over…

A trust ceremony to remember

For the first time this season, with $18,000 on the line, nobody votes for another contestant to go home in the trust ceremony. This means the pot now stands at a whopping $273,000.

“I feel like this is the calm before the storm,” says Bryce. He’s planning on revealing the truth about his millionaire status, but wants the right opportunity. Then, along comes dinner! But not before a game.

Brooke asks the contestants to sit next to who they are most connected to. Jay starts things off, and picks Lindsay. Jake picks Brian, much to Julie’s bemusement. Bryce picks Julie, and Winnie is last up, picking Tolú. This leaves Gaspare all alone – which means he gets to sit at the head of the table! “Honestly, I wouldn’t have picked any of you guys either,” he jokes. The poor guy is just relieved he didnt get evicted.

Bryce’s big confession eventually comes, and he’s just relieved he can now wear his overpriced sneakers without having to hide their designer labels. Everybody takes it well – except for Julie. “I’m getting so annoyed with this group,” she says in confessional. She thinks Bryce is “offensive.”

Fortunately, her mood changes when Gaspare is given the opportunity to send two people on an excursion. He selects Julie and Brian, because they “deserve something nice.” Julie notes it’s one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for her. I like Julie. I feel she’s gonna learn the most about herself from this experience, no matter what happens.

An excursion with a twist

The next day, Julie and Brian head out to do some ziplining over a lagoon, while exploring a cave. It’s a stunning location. Back at the house, there’s a spa day, and conversations about the game. Tolú tells Lindsey of an earlier conversation he had with Bryce, where he said he found it hard to have to hide parts of himself, like his wealth. “I should cry?” she asks. The only problem? Bryce overhears his name. When he asks Lindsey about the chat, she spills everything. Well, apart from the bit where she said she was “game” to vote Bryce out.

Meanwhile, back with Julie and Brian … another twist! They get their own individual vault decisions. One offer is presented to them on the table, but it’s blind. If they open the offer to see what it is, they must accept it. Our host Brooke only tells them that it will benefit them individually, and not the group. They can keep their decision to themselves, or share with whoever they want, when they select what to do.

As Brian explained his family was looking to adopt a young boy from foster care, I rooted for him to take the offer. But he’s a man of his word. “My integrity is not for sale,” he says, pushing the offer away.

But what about Julie? She accepts…
