Craig Conover Describes Season 5 Of Southern Charm As “Battle Of The Sexes”; Warns “Everyone Screams This Year”

Two episodes in and it’s clear that Southern Charm Season 5 is a battle of the sexes. After Season 4, Craig Conover and Naomie Olindo ended their relationship, Chelsea Meissner and Austen Kroll broke up, and then there’s Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel, whose relationship (even as co-parents) is almost always on shaky ground.

Craig opened up about his current relationship status, dating on the show, what else we can expect during Season 5.

In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish podcast, Craig confirmed, “I am single.” Then he threw a little bit of shade: “I recently closed a pretty big chapter in my life, but you know, I’m excited that we were able to actually close it, instead of it winding on like some of our other friends.” ~~Cough cough, Thomas and Kathryn.~~

Craig explained, “You know, we’ve both been kind of able to move on. Neither of us did anything bad, which was great. Nobody stepped out on anyone or cheated or any of that, so there wasn’t really any anger. You know, disappointment. We both kind of obviously wished things were different, but we finally accepted reality and moved on. You will see this year that we both have very different lives now than we did a year ago.”

Craig was asked if we would see him dating on Season 5. He explained, “This season, it’s talked about and it kind of becomes kind of a conflict because at the end of Naomie and I’s relationship, you know, there’s multiple times this year, you know, that you will see me try to communicate that there is no one I prefer to be with other than her. I’m like, ‘You’re my favorite person. Let’s make this work.’ You know she says, she’s just, you know, done trying, you know, ‘I need to think with my head,not my heart. It’s time to move on.’ It’s going to be a pretty, wild ride this season.” Craig pointed out, “also have the exact same friend group.”

Craig declared, “This year is the battle of the sexes.” He continued, “What everyone will get to see is we are so intertwined and we all have the same friends.” He reflected on Shep Rose’s (very awkward) birthday party: “We all go to support him. What it means is that you have a whole bunch of people who have broken up weeks or months prior who haven’t spoken and they’re all about to be in the same place.”

Craig may not be close with Naomie these days, but at least his relationship with Shep is back on track. Craig shared, “Shep becomes a very supportive and healthy influence in my life with being nice and encouraging. I think he saw how the breaking down approach didn’t help with me. We all help each other out.”

What else can we expect from the rest of Season 5? Craig warns, “Everyone screams this year. It used to just be Thomas and Kathryn and now every single person is yelling throughout the season.” Craig clarified, “It’s not dark. It’s a healthy… It’s just good.” If the rest of the season is anything like the first two episodes, I am all for it. They have really been bringing it for Season 5.

Tonight is an all new episode of Southern Charm. “Patricia surprises Cameran by planning a glamorous retro baby shower, but not everyone gets an invite. At the shower, Craig and Naomie fall back into old habits and an unexpected guest turns the event on its head. As Cameran begins to face the realities of becoming a new mother, Kathryn makes up for lost time with her kids. Meanwhile, Thomas considers his future with Ashley.”

At this point the three-part Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 reunion is shaping up to be everyone vs. Kim Zolciak. Sure, there were other topics discussed, but those were just child’s play in comparison to the animosity between Kim and NeNe Leakes.

Plus, it seems like everyone on this show (minus Sheree Whitfield) has it out for Kim. Even Cynthia Bailey– the least shady person in the cast- is upset with Kim after Kim told her to “just be quiet and look pretty” and insisted that she meant that as a compliment instead of an insult. Yeah right…

NeNe reflected on the last reunion episode in a Bravo blog post, NeNe admitted, “When Kim walked into the reunion, the first thing I thought was, ‘Here comes the bad energy.'” That’s funny because my thought was “This is episode is about to get good.”

During the reunion, Kim told NeNe that her relationship with Sheree is “eating her alive,” but NeNe insists, “Either that had to be a joke or she was lost for words, because I don’t give two f—s about her relationship with Shereé. Their relationship isn’t even real! If it was, they would tell each other how dumb they looked this season.” Is this in reference to the failed wig and wardrobe choices or their story lines?

In her own Bravo blog post, Cynthia shared, “Kim has certainly told me more than a few times that she thinks that I’m beautiful, and I always took it as a compliment. However, at the Elephant Room, she most definitely meant the ‘just be quiet and look pretty’ comment as a dig. I think that it was obvious to everyone, so trying to argue anything differently was just crazy to me.” Kim really needs to pick her battles, here. She has way bigger fish to fry than Cynthia. She should just fess up to being rude and get onto atoning her other sins from this season if she wants to save face with the fandom.

Report: Danielle Staub Wedding Filming For Real Housewives Of New Jersey

There’s no word on whether Danielle Staub will get promoted to full-time Housewife for Season 9 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but it does seem like she and Marty Caffrey will have their wedding filmed for the Bravo cameras.

Danielle’s engagement didn’t make it into the regular season episodes last year, but the clip was shown during a Secrets Revealed episode after the reunion. During the reunion, Danielle also shared that Teresa Giudice would be one of her maids of honor (maybe she will flip a table before she gives a speech at the reception) with Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs serving as bridesmaids. Even if Danielle isn’t a Real Housewife for Season 9, she does have most of the full-time cast members in her wedding, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if it was filmed for the show.

An “insider” told Page Six, “They’re getting married May 5 on Bimini Island.” That same “insider” shared,“Bravo cameras will film it”- which is interesting since there weren’t any photos of Danielle filming with the cast during the trip to Oklahoma. Was she just busy that weekend? Or is she going to be featured as a Friend of the Housewives (again) instead of a full-time cast member?

A different source told Page Six, “they pushed the wedding up for the show so she could demand a bigger paycheck next season.” So I guess that does mean she’s back? Page Six also noted that Bravo didn’t get back to them for a comment. Nevertheless, with Teresa, Melissa, and Margaret in this wedding, it is very likely that the wedding will be featured on Season 9 in some capacity. Hopefully she makes it into the regular season instead of a random post-reunion episode full of random footage.

Jax Taylor Opens Up About His Summer Breakup With Brittany Cartwright

Spoiler alert: Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are still together. Yes, they broke up during the last episode of Vanderpump Rules, but anyone who follows them on social media is well-aware that they’ve reconciled. They tweet and Instagram about each other almost daily.

After Jax was encouraged by his “reiki master” Kelsey, he broke up with Brittany, but that was filmed months ago. They are in a much different place these days, but that still had to be rough to watch and relive.

Jax opened up about the temporary breakup on social media. A viewer tweeted him saying, “My heart broke for you watching the last two shows. You were crying out for help, but there was no one around who could see what it really meant. I’m glad things are better and continue to improve. #PumpRules #staystrong.” Jax responded with, “I appreciate all of this.. I was a mess but each day has gotten better, I’ll never be perfect I know this, but I do know that I have the best partner a guy can ask for, and all I care about is being the best I can for her here on out. Thanks again means a lot.”

Jax confessed, “To be honest I was at the bottom of the barrel, lost, insecure my father was dying ..I hated myself and I thought it was the right thing to do because I was bringing her down. I am not perfect and I will never be but I am working very hard on myself .” He added, “I realized later that @BNCartwright is my angel and she makes me want to be a better man. We are in a great place now the best we have ever been, but it takes work, just know that I am working hard and thank you to all who watch.”

Now we just have to see what happens at the reunion show. Will Jax and Brittany have to talk about their relationship troubles from last summer or will they just focus on the happy place they seem to be in these days? Will they even be sitting next to each other at the reunion? Last season they were on opposite sides of the room and that was without the public relationship drama.

Heather Thomson Says Luann de Lesseps Is A Narcissist; Calls Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer “Catty, Dumb Bitches”

Former Real Housewives of New York star Heather Thomson has been busy running her businesses and living life since leaving the show, but she took a little time recently to sit down and share her thoughts on her former co-stars and more.

Heather was a guest on the Andy’s Girls podcast and dished on everything from Luann de Lesseps‘ narcissism to her advice for Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kenya Moore. Read on for some memorable quotes from her interview.

Heather talked about Luann‘s arrest and asserts that she’s “totally a narcissist.” Heather says of the arrest, “I wasn’t surprised. The issue with Luann and I was always authenticity and to be true. I had heard about narcissism, I had never really met somebody that had really fit the bill, it was hard for me to fathom that this was truly textbook.” She continued, “She’s totally a narcissist, she doesn’t get it and she’s so self-promotional all the time. I loved her stupid little etiquette side to herself because it was so funny the countess thing, dramatic for television, it’s funny.”

Speaking of dramatic former co-stars, Heather weighs in on Sonja Morgan and her toaster oven dreams. “What you see with Sonja is what you get, and Lady Morgan is very true. I think the upsetting thing about Sonja for me is 100% what you said, and that she’s actually a big fat goofball, and she takes herself too seriously when she should have a wink and a nod.” Adding, “She took it too seriously, couldn’t get out of her own way, and so therefore she never really launches anything. She’s the one housewife I’m not in touch with, on no level do we relate to one another.”

She calls Sonja and Ramona Singer “catty dumb bitches.” Heather shares, “I remember when we went to Montana – remember when I threw the hatchet – we were taking pictures afterwards and then Sonja came and said to me that Ramona was cracking behind my back like oh don’t take a picture with Heather, don’t promote her. And so they take a picture with me and in their mind they’re promoting me and until that point I didn’t really get it and I was like, you catty dumb bitches. And they really are by the way, and they continue to be on the show. I don’t have that relationship with Ramona off the show. We stay in touch.”

And she also shared a little bit of advice for newly married Atlanta Housewife, Kenya Moore (and for all married stars on any Housewives show). “For any housewife, if you’re going to make a career out of it, and it’s your genuine career, and they want your husband to be on the show, well that’s something that you’re going to have to deal with. If you don’t have a contract and you have a husband or spouse that doesn’t want to be on the show, then be honest about it.”

Real Housewives Of New York Recap: Til Brunch Do Us Part

This week, The Real Housewives of New York hit the road. It’s time for everyone to assemble at the dinner table and give one another a verbal dressing down. Because this is what they do best, no? The ladies are heading to the Hamptons for Bethenny Frankel’s birthday, Carole Radziwill’s post-marathon soiree – hosted by Hamptons maven herself, Ramona Singer – and for the annual WWE match between Dorinda Medley and Sonja Morgan. Dorinda has been mainlining martinis in preparation for the event. Sonja has been taking her kaftans out of cellophane for the event.

Carole is driving up with Tinsley Mortimer and Dorinda. But the bigger point of contention is where she’s staying – at a hotel with Tinsley instead of at Bethenny’s Hamptons pad. Why? Well, we get two different answers. Carole says that Bethenny’s “got a full house” so she opted to stay elsewhere. But Bethenny claims she invited Carole, but thinks her ex-bestie doesn’t want to come over because Bethenny’s daughter will be there. “Carole needs a best friend really close to at all times,” says Bethenny, who presumes Tinsley is this new best friend. “They’re thick as thieves.”

Meanwhile, Sonja is boarding the Jitney bus. Yes, this is how far the mighty ~~former~~ Morgan has fallen. OH THE HUMANITY! Thank god for her delusions of grandeur, which make her think that bus travel is suddenly luxurious. Guess she’s happy when surrounded by sweaty faces going places. “Anything to save a hundred bucks!” cries Sonja as she hefts her suitcase into the community luggage hole.

Meanwhile, Tinsley, Carole, and Dorinda are talking about Sonja’s crazy ass the entire way to the Hamptons. Why is Sonja coming for them so hard? Did this “juice cleanse” have illegal questionable ingredients in it? Dorinda likes Carole’s phrase about Sonja: “She’s nasty-nice.” So, then what is Carole for literally telling you your friend says you’re FAT? Nice-nasty? Or just nasty-nasty? Hmm. In any case, Dorinda isn’t playing games anymore. It’s almost CLIP! time.

Luann de Lesseps is already in the Hamptons putting together a gift basket of lovely artisanal items for Bethenny’s birthday – and a Ninja blender for Sonja’s new 100% ~~crack~~ juice diet. As she reluctantly buys Sonja’s long list of items (that she literally DEMANDED of her host), Sonja is trolling the parking lot in a local strip mall waiting for her ride. Finally, her knight in shining silver pickup truck comes to ferry her away…to her car? Which is stored at his house? What is happening here?!? (Luann: Visit the pharmacy next. Fill prescriptions.)

Ramona has also arrived at her Hamptons home, ordering staff (who came to deliver art) around and demanding they hang paintings, move furniture, and fix her TV like only Ramona can. She’s #SorryNotSorry for her entitled ways. And much to Bethenny’s eternal chagrin, this ridiculous leopard will never change her spots.
