Landon Clements made her Southern Charm debut last season as a designer living on a sailboat. Prior to the show, Landon spent a great deal of time exploring Italy before moving to Telluride where she worked with an interior designer for Ralph Lauren Home. Following this adventure, Landon started a career in Los Angeles working with SBE and Philippe Starck as they developed hotels, restaurants, and nightclubs all over the city and then eventually expanding nationally.
On a series known for drama, Landon stayed above the fray on her inaugural season as the majority of the craziness surrounded Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel. However, as we’ve seen thus far this season, Landon has garnered more of a voice when it comes to her fellow cast mates. She was kind enough to take the time to share with me the details of her upcoming projects (her travel/lifestyle website Roam launches this fall!), the fans’ biggest misconception about her, and the truth behind those pesky rumors of a secret romance between her and T-Rav.

Joining the cast as an old friend of Shepard “Shep” Rose, Landon was no stranger to the Holy City, having graduated from The College of Charleston where she studied art and historic preservation. She describes watching the first round of Southern Charm while living in Aspen, “I knew about the show for a couple of years though while Whitney [Sudler-Smith] was developing the idea. Then I heard they actually got it together and were filming. Watching Charleston from the Rocky Mountains made me really homesick. I came home for a visit during Easter and we got to watch an episode live together. I told Whitney if they got to do it again I would love to help them produce it. I’m still trying to figure out how I ended up on the other side of the camera but it’s been a blast and I’m just enjoying the ride.”
While there is no doubt editing plays a huge role in what the viewers eventually see, Landon feels that last season was fairly portrayed. She says, “I do think it’s pretty accurate. I wish they could leave in some of the hilarious banter but I guess some of it is too intellectual and our audience might not get the jokes. There is also a bit of censorship that is at play–we are a pretty lively bunch.” When asked if she did anything differently when it came to this season, Landon reveals, “This season I really wanted to show my professional self. I have been working on several projects that you will get to see them come to life. I am especially proud of Roam and am so excited to launch the site in the fall.”
Landon continues, “When filming, I always feel a little guarded around the cameras but to really connect with the audience it’s important to let them see you vulnerable and honest. I think people enjoy our show because we are relatable and maybe they see themselves in some of our ‘characters’.”
To say that people can be downright hateful on social media is an understatement, and reality stars get a lot of comments from viewers, both positive and negative. While some argue it comes with the territory for sharing part of one’s life on a reality show, Landon believes the biggest misconception about her is that she dislikes Kathryn. She explains, “I guess the biggest misconception is that I hate Kathryn. I don’t at all and actually tried very hard to be her friend but at some point you just have to let it go. She has her own battles to fight and feel bad for her but I’m so annoyed by the Team Landon vs. Team Kathryn nonsense. I’m team everybody, but if you write nasty things to me I will block and delete you.”
In fact, when I tell her I feel odd asking about her relationships with Shep and Thomas as I don’t know her, Landon responds with her genuine sense of humor. She states, “You’re right, it isn’t any of your business. I’m kidding, we put ourselves out there, so I understand. I don’t have anything to hide. Shep is my dear, dear friend–more like a brother,” recalling, “We did make out once but we both enjoy each other’s friendship so much it was silly to try to make a real relationship work while filming and growing our businesses.” That said, she does spend the most time with her old friend outside of the show. She reveals, “We have all the same friends from growing up and college so we are always at the same parties and events together. Naomie and I have become really close too. It’s a strange little bubble we live in at the moment, I have a small crew and keep them very close to my heart.”
Addressing the rumors that things are more than platonic with T-Rav, Landon asserts, “The whole Thomas thing is just silly. He’s way too old for me! We have never been anything but friends. He actually gives me some great business and personal advice. I wish I could get him to take his own advice.” Recounting the season so far, Landon touches on the never ending saga between Thomas and Kathryn and what it’s like having a front row seat. As to her portrayal, Landon says, “I think it’s all in good fun. But again I really hate being pegged against Kathryn. I don’t hate her but I am a bit terrified of her. You just never know what you are going to get so I try and stay far away.” When it comes to the reason behind the couple’s drama, Landon speculates, “I guess the age difference is a good place to start. Add a senate race and a couple babies and it’s hard to look away. I think the drama is actually played down the producers and network seem to be tip toeing around the real drama since children are involved.”
Discussing the cast’s talking-head interviews, I inquire whether they give their friends a head’s up if they say anything negative in their blurbs. Landon confirms, “Yes, we do let each other know but honestly if we said it in interviews it’s because we have probably already said it to each other’s face. I do get upset when our friends make an appearance on the show and it gets edited to not show them in a favorable light,” adding, “I have no control over final edits so if you sign up for this you have to be ready for a possible negative situations. I just say edit yourself by not letting production have footage of you being an idiot (I drink a lot less this season—I learned my lesson last year, plus I’m getting old and the hangovers are killer!).”
Speaking of drinking, we sure heard a lot about the lack of alcohol at last week’s skating party. Landon divulges, “Well, they didn’t show us getting kicked out of the roller rink, of course for drinking. It was much more hilarious than stupid invite-gate but they were afraid we would get sued if it aired. Also when we go to Shep’s mountain house things got pretty intense. I am curious to see how those scenes play out.”
Of course, when she’s not filming Southern Charm, Landon has plenty to keep her busy. She’s a project manager for IBU, which assists women around the world become more self-sufficient by marketing collections of handmade goods. She shares, “I am currently working on my travels site Roam. I am so excited to launch it…when I am not filming I am also working with IBU and developing other projects. I also spend a lot of time with my nieces. They are the real reason I moved back to Charleston.”
As to her “Charm”ed life, Landon maintains, “It really hasn’t changed that much. Hopefully after this season when Roam is really up and running, my life will fall back into place. It’s been crazy starting a company. I’ve been in a different city every week since we wrapped, so needless to say not much of a romantic life at the moment. I’m excited to get a little settled and start dating again. I’ve always been sort of boy crazy but right now I really have to focus on one thing and that’s Roam.”

Bachelor Nation, we're exactly two weeks away from the season premiere of The Bachelorette, with JoJo Fletcher set to kick off her televised journey to find...According to her Real Housewives Of Dallas co-stars LeeAnne Locken, the self-proclaimed ruler of the Dallas charity circuit, is a delusional, insane, liar, living a phony life and suffocating them all with her self-importance, and she needs mental help.
So far, that doesn’t sound too off-base to me, but LeeAnne is here to rebuttal all those assertions with her highfalutin’ version of the truth. Or basically she’s bowing back.
Last week’s episode ended with LeeAnne flinging a glass and screaming in Stephanie’s face, then storming out of a cocktail party. Of course LeeAnne was actually mad at Brandi Redmond’s over-reaction a poop prank taken the wrong way at a prestigious Dallas charity event.

“I know that to many it seems like I have a stick up my ass and am hard to the core, but that is sadly all you are getting to see of me,” admits LeeAnne. “There’s more to this story, I promise you.”
“I donate my Talents, Time and $Treasures$ to charities that I work with and attend. I have heard accusations about my ‘never donating money,’ and friends, this is completely FALSE. Their ignorance just shows how much time they have spent trying to get to know me. #ZERO”
As for claims that LeeAnne has no job, other than raging about the charity scene – au contraire because she’s written 13 books! “I am a working actress and have written 13 books.” WHERE ARE THESE BOOKS?!
“For anyone to say I don’t work and am poor is not only totally RUDE, but also pretty ironic coming from some who don’t have a career or job,” snaps LeeAnne. “Let’s be clear: I am NOT discounting raising children. That is the HARDEST job ever.”
Also, LeeAnne is jealous of no one. “JEALOUS? OF WHAT EXACTLY?” she seethes. “No, sweethearts. Jealousy is an ignorant person’s argument, so PLEASE keep using it.”
Addressing her ongoing issues with Brandi, LeeAnne knows trying to reason with Brandi, ‘the snake,’ is futile.
“When Tiffany approached me at Paws Cause […] about reaching out to Brandi to discuss things, I said no,” reasons LeeAnne. “I had already tried once, and much like approaching a snake in the grass, I GOT BIT. And I try not to repeat my mistakes if I can help it.” Which is why she’s been waiting on Rich to propose for like 6 years…
Tiffany Hendra also had zero success conversing with Cary Deuber to promote ‘The LeeAnne Cause’. “I loved that she wanted to get Cary to ‘understand’ me, but the fact that Cary kept cutting her off and allowing her to barely speak not only irritated Tiff, but it once again shows Cary’s COMPLETE RESISTANCE to ever try to get to know me. #ZeroEffort #PreconceivedOpinions #HATESatallCOST”
“Later, when Tiff pulled Brandi aside at the cocktail party, I wasn’t bothered at all! Because I know Fi’s (Tiffany’s) heart, and she is a true peacemaker. (The ONLY ONE on our show.),” LeeAnne declares in her Bravo blog.
About the blow-up between Brandi and LeeAnne – she blames it all on Brandi! “Watch very carefully Stephanie’s face when Brandi starts going at me – that big smile at Cary. (Interesting),” warns LeeAnne.
“Brandi is so filled with the wrong impression of who I am (thank you Cary, Steph, and Marie) that coming at me is her only mission at this point.”
“My natural instinct kicked in and I gave all of them 1,000 times more than what was coming at me,” seethes LeeAnne. “At some point, when MY story is finally revealed, everyone will understand why this is my instinct: to fight back. Until then, yay! I’m the #BravoBitch! But by nature, I don’t do hurt; I do anger.”
Tonight is Part 2 of LeeAnne’s explosion – featuring the scene where she smacks the camera. With Tiffany trying to calm LeeAnne down the friends wind up battling themselves. In happier news Stephanie’s hubby demonstrates his love and affection with some major jewelry. And Cary also gets a surprise from her husband. Meanwhile Brandi’s husband Bryan barely pays her any attention and bails on a major family event when her estranged long-lost comes for a visit.

On the most recent season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna’s tagline was “My lips were made for talkin’ and that’s just what they’ll do,” and apparently her hands were made for typing because she has really been going off on social media these days. Even though this season of RHOBH is over, Lisa still has a lot to say about went went down with her cast members.
Lisa went beyond the subtweeting and shady quotes with her latest social media post. Lisa really went above and beyond to insult the cast when she recorded and put up an insulting (and weird) video on Instagram.
What happened to the simple way of shading people by posting a suspicious meme or quote. Lisa really did the most when she posted a strange video on the gram. She went out of her way to film this production and it really just showed me that she had some extra time on her hands and some creatures in her backyard.

In the video, Lisa zooms toward a rattlesnake that she caught in her backyard and trapped in a trash can. She narrates it by saying, “Here I thought the Beverly Hills Housewives was over and then I found this in the backyard. Yeah, it’s a little snake, but it’s a rattle snake.” That really is going way too out of the way to throw this kind of shade. It isn’t even clever nor funny at that point.
She also says, “I thought I was done with all the snakes for at least this season.” Oh, burn…but not really. It was definitely trying too hard, at least in my opinion. It’s also pretty annoying to watch videos on Instagram, so I feel like her cast mates probably just scrolled past it. Or that they only watched it once their fans started blowing up their mentions about it.
The random cursing at the end of the video was pretty awkward and took away from any sort of smoothness that she could have exuded while trying to throw shade. I don’t really think that the point she was trying to make was worth getting so close to a rattlesnake.

We've seen plenty of shows score early renewals this TV season, and news of which series are earning slots on the 2016-17 TV season continues to leak. Now that we're entering the most...Whenever I watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills or Vanderpump Rules, I find myself wishing that I was Lisa Vanderpump’s daughter, or even just a waitress at one of her many restaurants. From what I’ve seen, LVP is a very generous person. If you are on her good side, she will take care of you.
Lisa and Ken Todd’s beloved daughter Pandora Vanderpump-Todd-Sabo just celebrated her thirtieth birthday, so Lisa had to do something to celebrate the milestone occasion. But what can Lisa get her daughter that would really blow her away? Lisa and Ken have been taking nice care of Pandora her whole life and on top of that, it is clear that Pandora is a very hard worker and can provide for herself pretty well, so it would take something pretty thoughtful to really make an impact.

Not only did Lisa seriously come through with her gift selection (as per usual), but she also managed to make the gesture a surprise! According to Daily Mail, Pandora was under the impression that she was attending a dinner party with her mother, but it turns out that the beautifully decorated house that she walked into was a surprise from Lisa. Yes, you read that right. Lisa got Pandora a fully furnished house as a surprise gift for her birthday. (Or at least supplied a hefty chunk of a change for a down payment on it..)
Pandora told Daily Mail, “I cannot believe as I walked in – thinking I was going to dinner – that my mother had poured her heart and soul into the most perfect house I’ve ever seen.” Thankfully, she did not walk into the home and make comments about the interior design because that would have been super awkward for LVP. Pandora explained that everything about the house was perfectly suited for her taste, “I could tell that every little display, piece of furniture and layout was designed with me in mind.”
Pandora and her husband Jason Sabo are very lucky to have Ken and Lisa in their lives. Not only are they very generous, but they are also very thoughtful and pay a lot of attention to detail. Her father Ken even made sure that the house had a piano that Pandora really wanted.
Of course, Pandora was completely in awe by her parents generosity and shared this with her followers on Twitter with a really sweet post.

Shep Rose is endearing on Southern Charm, but he never really stirring the pot or causing controversy. He is just entertaining for being adorable and a little lost in his career, but he rarely ever brings the drama. That’s why I was pretty shocked to read the outrageous comments he made in an interview to promote the show.
To be honest, he was saying a lot of what we were all thinking, but Shep is normally Mr. Neutral, so I was taken aback to read quotes from him questioning Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel’s tumultuous relationship. He even raised doubts about the paternity of their second child which is a pretty wild thing to say this long after the baby has been born.

I would never personally involve myself with anything that involves the up-and-down relationship between Kathryn and Thomas (other than writing this article- obviously). I just would never want to be caught up in that firestorm of drama, so that’s why I’m so shocked that Shep of all people made comments about Kathryn and Thomas’s son St. Julien Rembert Ravenel. If there’s anything that would bring the two of them together on the same side of controversy, it would be defending their child and his conception.

In an interview with People, Shep explained that he was surprised by the news of the second pregnancy since the two were no longer together when their son was conceived: “I didn’t believe it. Nobody did. I heard it was a rumor.”
Shep was not sure if Thomas was even the father. He told People, “I don’t know what either of them were thinking but my first thought was: Is it his baby? That was all of our thoughts because they weren’t dating at the time. And she was dating other people.” Again, I don’t get why anyone would make these comments long after the baby was born, but I guess Shep wasn’t really thinking.
He did clarify that it couldn’t possibly be his child, which I’m sure was a relief: “It certainly wasn’t mine. I slept with her first season, but statute of limitations tells you it can’t be mine.” I didn’t even think that it could be his, but I guess it’s good that he set the record straight on that one?

Shep also said, “Honestly it was probably not the best idea, but what do I know? Her life as a young lady, [the time] you might want to have fun, is over. So I empathize with that, but it totally takes two to tango.” It doesn’t seem like the pregnancy was planned, so I don’t feel like it was anyone’s “idea,” but a child is always a blessing so I’m sure that Kathryn and Thomas are very happy about their son, no matter how awkward the timing may have been.

There certainly is some evidence floating around at there that Big Brother 2016 may involve veteran players in some way. Will we finally get the true All Stars season many fans have been anticipating for years? Or will this just be another disappointing mish-mash of veterans and newbies like Big Brother 13?

Back in April, former Big Brother cast member Evel Dick Donato teased everyone by saying he’d been called to participate in an All Stars season. That turned out to just be an April Fool’s joke. Or, maybe Evel Dick was playing a joke within a joke and actually giving us a real tease about the upcoming Big Brother 18 season? After all, he’s not the only former cast member who has been giving out clues that veterans may be returning for 2016 in some way or another.
Former Big Brother winner Andy Herren came right out on Twitter and said that BB18 will indeed have returnees, although he said it would be a mixed season, and not All Stars.
Apparently BB18 is half newbies and half returnees! Yay! This always works out so well. Oh wait…..just look at BB13. WOOF.

Of course, Andy notoriously likes to screw with people on social media, so you really can’t trust anything he says. However, he’s not the only one talking about veterans coming back to the show this season. Former Houseguest Austin Matelson also reportedly said something about cast members coming back, according to BigBrotherNetwork.com. Fan favorite contestant Janelle Pierzina took to twitter openly to proclaim her belief that not only would veterans be returning, but Big Brother 18 would indeed be an All Stars season.

What other evidence might we have that if there is smoke, there might be fire for this whole All Stars thing? Well, it seems to us that the Big Brother casting rounds were a bit less than usual this year, and promoting for people to apply for the new season was rather subdued. This could be a hint that some or even all of the cast had already been pre-selected. Or it could mean absolutely nothing at all.
For now, it’s still a big guessing game. Personally if I were casting Big Brother and was pretty confident the show would last until at least season 20, I’d wait until then for an All Stars season. A 20th anniversary All Stars edition of Big Brother sounds pretty damn cool to me!

That was an ending series creators Robert and Michelle King...Over the weekend Kim Zolciak partied and filmed the season finale of Don’t Be Tardy. Kim’s new skin care line “Kashmere” and her birthday were celebrated at the same event with her friends and family and both were filmed for the show.
Kim gushed on Instagram over the fun night, “What an incredible night! I’m so incredibly thankful for everyone that came out to celebrate my birthday and the surprise launch of my new skin care line Kashmere. There I was, sitting at my desk and writing a post about the first Fuller House table read of season two. I was minding my business, really--but then it hit me: "But I don't know what to...Dorinda Medley began this season of The Real Housewives of New York in the hot seat, so she was relieved to be more of a bit part character last week. Calling her RHONY castmates “killer sharks,” Dorinda jokes that “the moment they stop moving, stop preying, stop stinging, they die.” So, who are they zeroed in on now? Newbie Jules Wainstein, of course!
Dorinda is relieved, but wary. “This week, it’s a relief to see there’s been a cosmic shift away from ME. I’m not in the crosshairs, but like I said last week, that means Jules is in the hot seat, and this one has been set to ROAST.” She adds, “So by now, you’ve seen that Jules is on the spit, getting turned very slowly. Sonja [Morgan’s] on the back burner, just at a simmer, with Luann de Lesseps on the counter, getting primped and prepped for her day in the sun. This is one kitchen I’m glad to be out of at this point.”

Dorinda breaks her blog down into sub-sections, cheering for how each cast member represents a certain function within the show. “Here’s to the girls who just watch! This episode was mainly all of us gathered around different tables, having another lunch or another dinner while chewing apart someone else. We really are ladies who LUNCH!” jokes Dorinda, but asks why? “What’s the point? Do any of us have the time or the right to be so judgmental? Well, clearly yes. Should we? No. Our raison d’être cannot be self-righteousness. No one is perfect, and whoever makes that kind of scrutiny of another’s life and lifestyle their priority or pastime is just out of line and probably a hypocrite.”
“Here’s to the girl who plays wife! I could go into each segment of the episode, but the main story lies in this: Jules does not back down and certainly doesn’t shy away. (Remind you of anyone?) To be honest, I’m not sure Jules’ lunch with Bethenny [Frankel] was the right time to share something so deep. I thought this was an opportunity for Bethenny to apologize for her behavior, explain where she’s coming from, and make nice. Instead, it was Jules opening up, out of nervousness, sharing her vulnerabilities and intimacies. I think it’s ultimately a mistake, because any sign of weakness is a prime target for any kind of overlord.”
Next, Dorinda examines the energizer bunny on uppers that is Ramona Singer. “Here’s to the girls on the go! Ramona runs her life in yearly cycles,” explains Dorinda, who was less than thrilled to attend Ramona’s birthday luncheon after all of the shade thrown at her boyfriend, John. “But let me be honest, whereas last year I was excited to go, this year, my stomach churned as I entered the room. You know when you’ve had time to reflect on something that’s hurt you, and it just makes you more hurt? Yeah…that’s what I was going through. I was there to celebrate Ramona’s birthday — again — but I had a few thoughts to share.”
But Dorinda rallied to offer a toast in Ramona’s honor despite her feelings of discomfort at lunch. Whether Ramona picked up on Dorinda’s deeper message of friendship and loyalty remains to be seen. Dorinda reflects, “This was an opportunity to be gracious, sincere, but convey my point about what ‘friends’ really are — even if it was with Ramona’s 50 closest girlfriends. And for doing it off the cuff, I think I did a pretty good job. Not really sure if it was fully understood, of course, but the general feeling and intent was delivered…you got it?”
“Bored of the accusations, the speculation, the bad manners, and the joy with which some react to the misfortunes and pain of another,” Dorinda asks, “What happened to a good, supportive friendship? What ever happened to class? It’s all schadenfreude.” (Cue Luann de Lesseps’ schadenfreude-TASTIC anthem!)
Wrapping up her blog, Dorinda celebrates “the girls who stay smart! When it comes to your close friendships, whether they’re five or 50, there is often too much history to just throw away over hurt feelings and stupid comments. Some of the comments may be true, some may be false, but the intent is to get a rise out of someone, and that’s not what friends do.”
As for Ramona, Dorinda claims, “I still value my relationship with Ramona and consider her a sister, but within that bond, I need her to be my confidant my protector. I need her to be my vault. And sometimes that means she needs to rise to the occasion and have my back. She knows better now, I think. She knows at some point, you just have to rise! But I have to say… once bitten, twice shy. I mean, when you have friends like mine…”

When Chrisley Knows Best returns tomorrow night, Todd and Julie's youngest daughter is in for a rude awakening when she arrives home to find...After watching the Shahs of Sunset lure Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi into the woods for hopes of an intervention last week, we finally got to see the fruits of their labor/deception on last night’s episode.
Mike Shouhed is busy taking what I can only assume are purchase orders for shoes on his cell while the women folk cook a pretty sad looking spread of shrimp and veggies on the grill. Awkward small talk is being made and you can tell GG is already drunk by the time she cross eyes up Mike to tell her why she is so angry at him. She doesn’t like how he talks to her and Mike sets his phone down long enough to apologize profusely and say he will let it all go. GG slurs some type of response to indicate she can move on. Asa Soltan Rahmati wastes no time turning this into a spiritual event. Asa says she wants to throw their issues into the fire while Mike and GG hug it out.

Reza Farahan is so thrilled everyone is getting along that he decides to put the fake poop spray away and turn his pranks up a notch. He decides to try and trick Mike into believing that Mercedes “MJ” Javid is pregnant but Mike (who probably knows his way around a fake pregnancy claim or two), isn’t buying it. Shervin Roohparvar, who is as gullible as he is attractive, buys right into it and tries to talk MJ out of drinking while pregnant. Fake pregnancy is hilarious, right? Not really. Reza should probably stick to his poop pranks.
Mike keeps running off to take phone calls and it turns out, he’s got trouble at home with wife, Jessica Parido. Gee, I wonder why there might be an issue with his wife when he’s away on a trip with the very person who he undoubtedly allegedly cheated with. Mike tries to explain to MJ that he has a duty to his wife to take care of her, even though he is all the way in the woods with his one-time mistress. He (sort of) confides in MJ to try and get an ally for when everyone busts his chops for being on the phone with his wife, who is busting his chops.
While everyone is busy getting things off their chest, Reza decides to tell MJ how hurt he is that she didn’t react well to his news about wanting to get married again. Instead of letting the conversation flow, GG and her flame-retardant, camping collection extensions come to sit down next to MJ and offer this unsolicited tidbit of wisdom: “Do you.” And then keeps repeating it over and over. Everyone waits patiently for GG to explain what the eff she is talking about but instead, GG transports herself in her head to twerking at a club to Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love,” complete with hand gestures. They thought they took the GG out of the club, but they couldn’t take the club out of GG!
Asa tries to envelop GG in her full Santa Fe retiree-inspired ensemble, which only causes more trouble because GG doesn’t want hugs. GG slurs some more unintelligible things and is put to bed to sleep off her sloppiness. Shervin decides he can’t stand for being tricked and needs to retaliate against Reza’s earlier shenanigans. He’s dressed for the covert operation in a sleeveless hoodie (seriously, what is the point??) and Reza has busted out the poop spray again. Sigh, I can’t decide which is more played out on this camping trip – the ever present red sneakers Mike’s sporting night and day or Reza’s potty pranks.
Morning comes and it’s time for this ragged bunch to actually do something other than drink and play fart jokes. GG is busy fighting off her morning hangover RA inflammation with salt water as the Shahs prepare to set out to seize the day, with bed head and bandanas. On the RV trip to their planned location, Mike is busy whining about marriage and Reza astutely points out how if it’s this hard year one, then Mike is in trouble. Everyone at home watching nods their head emphatically.
The Shahs arrive at an obstacle course, and naturally, GG makes a big show of how she can’t get across the rope obstacle with her RA hand. Reza gets into full metaphor mode and explains how the rope obstacle is like their lives and GG doesn’t have the tools to get across without help. He decides that they don’t want to give up on GG and leave her behind and she manages to get across with all kinds of help and fanfare. GG talks about what an amazing moment it is and I guess that’s fair for someone who doesn’t work, pay bills, or have any real problems outside of a drinking and the occasional bout of hand inflammation to use as an excuse in life.
Mike and Reza bond over the obstacles and Reza is giving me full on Village People construction worker vibes right now between the mustache, hard hat, and yellow work gloves. Mike relates the obstacle course back to his marriage. Not really sure how you can rope climb your way out of constantly cheating on your wife but ok, Mike, have your moment of perceived clarity.
All this positivity has to be too good to be true and sure enough, it is. On the car ride to dinner, Reza loudly discusses how they should keep an eye on GG’s drinking with GG sitting less than a foot away. GG seethes in silence.
Everyone arrives to a decidedly non-L.A. restaurant for dinner and GG can’t even let anyone order appetizers before her dramatics demand to be noticed. She’s not hungry and no amount of potato skins or mozzarella sticks can solve this issue. GG instructs the waiter to not put food in front of her and decides to pout and speak cryptically when asked what’s wrong by the group. She wants anyone who has an issue with her to tell her to her face and is upset that anyone would talk about her behind her back after such an amazing day of her doing something other than causing drama. MJ decides the intervention doesn’t have to wait and goes right in on GG about what she said about MJ’s relationship the last time they met for dinner. Mike jumps in and actually makes sense by explaining that GG needs to start changing since she’s in her 30s and the people who care about her are trying to help her change for the better.
Back to the campsite and it’s time for what’s supposed to be an intervention but probably should be more along the lines of an exorcism. Mike lights a fire, Reza changes into a different colored mustache beanie, and everyone tries to figure out where to start with this mess. GG’s eyes are already at half-mast as she clutches her red solo cup so I can tell none of this will sink in, and next week, we will be watching another GG blow up. Mike asks GG point blank what she is miserable about and GG admits that whatever she thought she would have in life, she doesn’t have. She goes on to say that she doesn’t know if she should even have kids because she doesn’t want to pass her disease on to them and Mike has to clarify (along with everyone at home) that she means her RA. Mike insists that GG should be a “survivor” and kick her disease’s ass. Are we seriously entertaining this?
GG makes up all kinds of excuses and lists her Yolanda Foster-approved method of healing a questionable diagnosis but says nothing helped so she has given up hope. GG is starting to crack and Shervin sees the chance to pull out letters from GG’s family to talk about their feelings. GG doesn’t want to hear it because she doesn’t have the “emotional capacity” to deal with it (duh) and Shervin blows smoke up her ass tells GG she’s the strongest person here. *eye roll* He finally coaxes GG back to the fire to hear her dad’s words with the promise of her being able to punch him in the balls if she isn’t happy. Oh, Shervin, please take better care of those balls. Shervin reads a letter from GG’s dad and he lists all the ways she has changed but also talks about how she deserves happiness. It was actually very touching.
GG continues smoking and slurs about how she is weirdly happy right now and the camera cuts to Reza housing s’mores and avoiding eye contact, clearly unimpressed. Mike says that GG has opened her mind to the universe and everyone acknowledges that this is a good start. MJ and GG take this opportunity to hug and share the bond of equally bad hair extensions. They all end with a toast, a group hug, and the hope for restored relationships. Am I wrong or have we seen this before? Time to put the fire out on this camping trip before it starts to go south!

Welcome back, Sister Wives. I’d like to say I’ve missed Kody Brown and crew, and maybe I have…but not two hours worth. Not at all. However, I am grateful for that extra sixty minutes of Kody’s hair, Meri’s whining, and Robyn’s sobbin’, but geez, TLC, couldn’t you give us something to look forward to throughout the season? The super-sized season premiere begins with the family recapping Maddie’s serious relationship with Caleb, the family’s trip to Alaska, while Meri stays silent. She is too busy wondering how she’s going to spin this catfish story. Meri admits to having feelings for the man she thought she was speaking to online and over the phone who ended up being a woman who had targeted her on social media. She reveals how difficult it was to share the news with Kody and her sister wives, and the other women weigh in on Meri’s behavior during this time.
Sporting a new haircut, Kody complains that Maddie is always moody when she’s apart from Caleb. The wives joke that he should be used to female emotions by now. Returning from a trip to visit Montana to visit Caleb, while scouting jobs and apartments, the family is gathered for a big dinner. With the wave of her hand, Maddie announces her engagement and Truely loses her cool. The date has been set, and corny Kody starts jonesing for a road trip with Caleb to search for venues in Wyoming. Janelle is concerned that they are less than a year out with minimal planning.

Hey guys! Don’t forget about Robyn! And Solomon! She’s having a baby and Solomon is going to need to learn to share his bedroom when her new baby girl arrives. I’m not quite sure why it matters since Solomon sleeps with Robyn every night. Apparently, the children sleeping with their mothers (when Kody is away) is the norm for the first decade (at least) of their lives. Robyn is sad about the idea that Solomon may actually start sleeping in his own room. Christine is over the moon about Robyn’s upcoming arrival. She gets to enjoy the child when she wants, but with none of the real work. It’s the perfect set-up.
Having found a place to live in Montana, Maddie is moving, and Caleb is coming to load up the U-Haul. Kody is over the top and super cheesy when it comes to Caleb. He’s desperate for Caleb’s attention and approval. Even the tween family members find it incredibly awkward. Caleb is the consummate gentleman, pretending he doesn’t find it creepy in the least. Instead, he’s flattered. Even more cringe-worthy is Christine’s lust for Caleb. The two plan to crash the newly engaged couple’s dinner where Maddie plans to introduce her fiance to her BFF. Robyn is gifting Maddie with her furniture because that means she’ll be able to get new furniture. Meri is cursing herself for not figuring out what a brilliant plan this is. Maddie, do you want Meri’s wet bar? When a leg breaks off the sofa they are moving, Kody stops everything to fix it. Caleb doesn’t understand why it can’t wait until they unload on Montana, but this is Kody’s plan to spend as much time with his daughter as he can…and such quality time at that!
That evening, Christine, Kody, and Janelle have fulfilled their promise to crash Maddie’s dinner with her best friend and future husband. It’s clear that Janelle is only in attendance to serve as a buffer between the young people and Christine and Kody. Kody serves a moderator between Dezi and Caleb, but he’s upset to learn that Dezi knew about Maddie’s crush on Caleb long before he did. Christine agrees. Why were they kept in the dark? On a scale of one to mortified, this dinner is off the charts. Even with creepster parents/future in-laws, Maddie and Caleb delight in sharing their engagement story. The pair is absolutely adorable, and Caleb chivalrously wins over the best friend.
Robyn and Kody are taking Solomon with them to their upcoming ultrasound. They head to the midwife’s home in hopes of hearing that the baby is no longer in the breech position. Thankfully, the baby has turned, and Robyn preps for a home birth while the midwife schools Solomon about the ultrasound…or rather the TV that looks in on baby sister. The following day, Maddie can’t get out of the cul-de-sac compound fast enough. Janelle, Kody, and Christine are accompanying the pair. Christine is prepping for tears, but Janelle feels like she’s closer to her daughter now more than ever. From what I can tell, it’s Christine’s infatuation with Caleb that makes her a shoo-in for this road trip. I kid, she feels like Maddie is one of her own. Maddie makes the rounds to say good-bye to her siblings and other mothers. The group then heads off on their sixteen hour road trip to Montana. When they say their good-byes, Christine erupts into a puddle of tears, but Janelle and Maddie are all smiles about the next step in their adventure.
Enough with the love birds! Let’s get down the nitty gritty with Meri and her catfish fiasco! She feels incredibly guilty for allowing this toxicity to infiltrate her family. The wives and Kody are meeting with their family therapist Nancy to discuss and process the situation. Meri shares how difficult it was to tell her sister wives about her online affair. Robyn was the first person Meri confided in, and it confirmed Robyn’s concerns about Meri’s behavior over that past several months. Robyn felt relief that Meri wasn’t leaving the family, but she felt terribly that Meri had to go through so much on her own. Meri admits at that point she was unclear as to how or if she would tell the rest of the family. She knew she needed to confide in Kody, and he shares that he knew something was going on but wasn’t sure why Meri was crying all the time. She eventually told Kody and her sister wives.
In the therapy session, Meri relays her story. Christine seems sympathetic, but Kody just looks peeved, especially when Meri admits to caring for this fake online person. Kody feels like he deserves a good bit of blame for allowing his relationship with Meri to gain so much distance and lose so much trust. Janelle is naive, so she’s having a hard time wrapping her head around the entire situation. Christine can’t believe how evil this catfisher is, and Meri admits that she started doubting the catfisher’s story and became the victim of verbal abuse. Christine and Robyn lend their total support, but Janelle and Kody questions how Meri could have fallen for such a blatant liar. As Meri sobs, Kody and her sister wives feel terribly for her feelings of helplessness.
Meri explains that the catfisher tried to convince her that she was mistreated by her family and it made her question her beliefs. He/she totally fed on Meri’s insecurities, but she believes the plan backfired as it made her pray more and brought her closer to God. The entire experience has made the family realize they weren’t as strong or unified as they thought. This is much bigger than a mission statement, that’s for sure! Janelle feels horribly that Meri felt so lonely in their midst, and Robyn hopes that Meri knows they are always there for her. Nancy the therapist pegs Meri as the most susceptible to this type of online predator because she is the most isolated.
Kody questions what he’s done wrong. He thinks that Meri didn’t necessarily want to leave the family, but she wanted to be done with him. Meri doesn’t dispute his assertion. She seemed so angry at him so he kept her distance. Meri bawls that shew as incredibly angry at him. The cracks in her relationship with Kody left her vulnerable to this situation. When a producer asks Christine if there is truth to this, Christine is adamant that speaking on Meri and Kody’s private relationship would be a total violation of sister wives code. Kody wonders how Meri will ever be able to trust anyone again after this experience. Now, Meri’s vulnerability has morphed into rage. She’s livid that not only did she fall for the ploy, but that she invited it into her family and caused such upheaval. As Kody embraces his first wife, I daresay this may have actually brought the crew closer together, and hey, she’s still got that wet bar!
