Well, this certainly won’t help Gina Kirschenheiter mend fences with Emily Simpson.
In the midst of their rift-causing feud this season on The Real Housewives of Orange County, the Long Island transplant is taking aim at her BFF’s husband Shane Simpson — and she didn’t mince words when it came to what she thinks of the RHOC villain’s trademark sarcastic nature.
“I think it’s so hard because you don’t want to toss anybody under [the bus], but I can tell you this,” Gina said in an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “I think that [with] Shane, Emily has a habit of defending Shane and saying his behavior is sarcasm; it’s not. It’s disrespectful and it’s snarky and it’s mean, and he does that to his wife.”
The RHOC star also took issue with some of the comments Shane has made throughout the season regarding her recent on-camera legal trouble, including a DUI, missed court date and that narrowly-avoided arrest warrant.
“He took a shot at me: ‘Oh, she’s getting her manicure when she doesn’t even show up to her court date.’ And that was a really devastating thing that happened in my life,” she explained. And [Emily] blows it off like, ‘Well that’s just Shane‘ and it’s like, “Well, that has to change.'”
Gina‘s perspective on her bestie’s razor-tongued other half is a bit surprising, considering that she spent a large portion of last season coming to Emily‘s defense after she was the one thrown out of the Simpson home following a particularly raucous poker party. However, Gina also thinks she may understand the reason for Shane‘s biting wit.
” I do think Shane does a lot of things he does as a defense mechanism,” she posited to The Daily Dish. “It’s probably something he’s been doing his whole life and I do think that’s kind of unfortunate, but I still don’t think that’s an excuse to act that way. I think that there’s been a lot between Shane and I that I have overlooked and tried to be a decent friend to Emily because that’s her husband.”
Gina continued, “And then I feel like watching that one scene where he takes that shot at me, that really hurt me because I go out of my way to try to go to bat for him or protect him. Or always, even with Emily — if she does open up — I do try to navigate through it in a way where I’m respectful that that’s her husband and he just doesn’t have that much respect for, I don’t think, anyone.”

Love her or hate her, Tamra Judge always finds a way to amplify the drama on Real Housewives of Orange County. Sometimes she’s directly involved, but mostly she finds a way to drum up issues between others by talking out both sides of her mouth. Tamra still has real drama of her own that we don’t really see play out on camera anymore (thankfully).
I just re-watched Season 5 of RHOC (highly recommend). For a refresher, that was the season where Tamra screamed, “I want a divorce!!!” at Simon Barney in the back of a limo. From that point on, the drama within Tamra’s family escalated to a point that no parent can ever prepare for. It has been well documented on the series that Tamra has been “erased” from her eldest daughter, Sidney’s life. Sidney Barney moved in with Simon shortly after the divorce, and has since been living away at college. Back in 2017, Tamra reunited with Sidney and Simon for Sidney’s high-school graduation. The reunion was short-lived because Tamra posted about it on her social media. Sidney has also shared that her issues with Tamra are personal, and that she is “disappointed” in Tamra’s behavior on RHOC.
Put simply, it appears as though Tamra and Sidney disagree on Tamra’s involvement with the show. Tamra was recently on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and shared that should would leave RHOC if Sidney asked her quit. Andy read a fan question from Twitter that asked this and Tamra responded immediately, “Yes. Yeah. Absolutely.” I have no clue about Tamra’s relationship with her kids. What it sounds like is Sidney wants nothing to do with the show (and Tamra as long as she’s a part of it). So why isn’t Tamra walking away? Does Sidney have to directly request this?
Tamra’s familial relationships are not all bad. Entertainment Tonight covered Tamra’s WWHL appearance, and quoted her from an exclusive interview they did in June. Tamra shared that her and Simon have “actually been getting along very well.” Entertainment Tonight noted that she teared up during the interview, and elaborated, saying that, “it’s been a long time coming but, you know, I’ve always wanted this. I’ve always wanted to co-parent and now we’re actually doing it.” That is definitely good news!
Tamra continued, sharing, “we have this big division in our family… Spencer lives with me and Eddie for the past four years, and Sidney is off at college and, you know, I think it was a real, big eye-opener to both of us, and I think that it was a time that we realized that we gotta keep it together.” I hope they do. I’m one of the few Tamra fans out there (I know, but THAT’S MY OPINION) and I wouldn’t want to watch RHOC without her. But it seems to me, she should step aside to see if that would help mend fences with Sidney.

Darcey Silva is on her third season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. She has pained viewers with her histrionics, her incessant need for affirmations, and an absolutely outrageous wardrobe. There is a reference to love and/or engagements in every sentence she utters.
This gal doesn’t seem concerned with getting to know the man she intends to marry, just so long as he pops the question. Prior to appearing on the show with Brit Tom Brooks this season, Darcey was dating Netherlands native Jesse Meester. That courtship ended in disaster. And maybe Jesse had a couple of good points about Darcey because she is clearly displaying some behavioral patterns in her new relationship. As Season 3 progresses, we see the same needy, irrational Darcey fixating on extracting a proposal from Tom. And of course fans are dying to find out if their relationship is still going strong or has Tom made a break for it?
Darcey dished on her relationship with Entertainment Tonight. She hinted that she and Tom are not seeing each other anymore. Darcey said, “you know what, it is to be determined, you guys are gonna have to wait and see.”
“But on that journey of love, I take risks and I am so proud of it,” Darcey continued, “I will always follow my heart and, you know what, I’m grateful. I’m grateful for the energy that I bring to relationships and opening my heart. It’s a positive thing in my end, so, we’ll see what happens.” It’s an illusion, is what it is.
Darcey denies that she is anything but authentic on camera. Oh boy. She explained, “I’m always Darcey, and Darcey’s Darcey. I’ve heard it before and I’ll hear it again. Tom’s gonna like, say maybe a little bit of what he wants to say, but you know what, in the end, I have a real heart. I want love just like everybody else. And you know what, when you know somebody for that amount of time, and you go one that journey for love, you know, I’m deserving of it. And I’m not here to be made for a fool, so we’ll see what happens.”
Is Darcey hinting that Tom made a fool of her? “I wouldn’t say that he has, maybe at times,” she said.
Darcey has been fishing for an I Love You from Tom, even going so far as to cry and pout for it. Darcey hinted that, though he finally made the statement, there will be trouble in paradise. She explained, “he has said he loves me. But you will have to watch the next couple of shows to see what happens.”
Surely Tom had good intentions for appearing on the show? He’s not promoting a brand or talking about his professional life, so Darcey may be right that he is not using her for fame. She said, “Tom’s motivation is Tom’s motivation. I trust him and just was being there on my own journey and following my own heart. And when I love somebody, I want to make sure that it’s feeling right for me. In the end, I want to make sure his intentions are real as well. You know, time will tell.”
Darcey has become a bit of a laughing stock because she cries literally each episode. But she is not concerned about that and explained the reason she is so emotional. Darcey said, “it’s an emotional roller coaster of being in that moment in real time. You’re putting your life on the line, like, loving, giving your heart. And understanding, when you feel in that moment like something isn’t right, you get emotional. It might rub someone else the wrong way than the other person. I give my heart and that’s it, and they can say what they want.”
Regardless of what happens with Tom, Darcey will never stop believing in love. And if she can’t be Mrs. Brooks, she will be a missus to somebody, anybody.
“I’m 45, guys. I’ve had two kids. I’ve been divorced, I’ve been through many relationships,” Darcey concluded, “I’m not giving up, no matter what. I’m going to keep fighting. Love is on my heart always. But you know what, I’ll lean back and we’ll see what happens.”

Watching the Real Housewives of Orange County this week made me a little nostalgic for Housewives days gone by. You remember–when the show was focused on women who lived in beautiful homes, drove fancy cars, took dream trips and shopped for high end clothing and jewelry. Sure, some of it was all smoke and mirrors and a few of the ladies were one credit card transaction ahead of financial disaster, but the show usually delivered as promised.
Somehow, in the intervening years, everything changed. Fights became routine. Screaming came to be the preferred method of communication. Damaging gossip had the potential to ruin lives. Some cast members like Heather Dubrow managed to mostly stay above the fray, but many ladies were only too happy to wallow in the mud. Which leads us to this week’s episode. Married Housewives Tamra Judge and Braunwyn Windham-Burke in a disturbing public make out session. Usually prudish Shannon Beador exchanging spit with a random stranger. How did this all come to be?
One longtime RHOC cast member has definite opinions on the current state of the show. In an interview with Us Weekly, Vicki Gunvalson declared, “There is an overload of crying and raunchy talk and behavior. The talk about sexual exploits should have been kept private and not heard or seen by children on television.”
Hell has officially frozen over–I agree with Vicki about something! The sensory overload of crudeness on the show seems to have reached a breaking point. And I will not even mention that Vicki has been guilty of some of the same crimes of which she speaks–screeching, babbling about her incontinence and talking about her love tank needs. And we won’t bring up her vicious gossip about people like Kelly Dodd and Eddie Judge.
So how does morality judge Vicki, who was demoted this season, think the show should be? She explained, “When I created this franchise 15 years ago, it was about our lives and having the opportunity to showcase the world the privileged lifestyle we lead.”
Who knew Vicki created the Real Housewives franchise? I thought she was in the insurance business. But she does have a point–the current show bears little resemblance to its tamer beginnings. Where are the Jeana Keoughs and Tammy Knickerbockers of the early days? I actually enjoyed watching women who could speak instead of yell and seemed like people you might like to know in real life.
Vicki went on to further share about the current show, “It’s turning out to be all about divorce, rental houses, threesomes and other ridiculous things.” Oh no–not rental houses, Vicki–the horror of it all!
Although Vicki is divorced, often ridiculous and has been accused of having a threesome, there is some truth in what she is saying. The ugly divorces of cast members like Tamra, Shannon and Gina Kirschenheiter seemed to have dragged on endlessly. The threesome talk is way beyond where it is edgy or funny. Yes, we are looking at you, mother of seven Braunwyn. You too, Tamra!
Another point of contention for Vicki is the cast nudity. She stated, “Naked scenes seems like many of the cast are trying to one up or outdo the other.”
Agreed. Again, we are looking at you Braunwyn and Tamra. I am of the old school on nudity–I am fine with it if it is tastefully done and critical to the storyline! Tamra’s nude hot tub scenes are rather ho-hum at this point. Maybe she should switch it up with a nude workout at Cut Fitness or take a naked midnight stroll through Coto de Caza. And visit Tres Amiga Vicki!
Where does the future of RHOC lie? Will the game be upped more and more, until the viewers revolt? At this point, can the game even be upped anymore and still be on regular cable? We will see what the rest of the season has in store for us. Personally, I am hoping that this week’s episode was the was the season’s low point. You can only go up from here, OC ladies!

I. Am. Dead. We are only onto the second episode of Temptation Island and already the show is next level. If the rest of the season keeps up at this pace I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it. For those who saw the episode already, you know exactly what I am freaking out about. And if you haven’t seen this episode yet, stop what you are doing and immediately find it on your DVR, streaming or on demand. This is truly must see TV.
We’ll get to the major bomb that dropped in a bit. But first, let’s start at the beginning. The couples say their goodbyes to one another, or rather lack there of. All of the women are crying as the men sheepishly walk out and head back to their villa where a bevy of single women await them. Everyone is pretty much regretting their decision to be on this show, but there’s no turning back now.
Ashley Goldson sniffled and gave a self-fulfilling prophecy, “The minute [Rick Fleur] does something I know that I’m going to over-react. And I’m going to get out of character and that’s going to push him more away…it’s not like they just have a house full of women, we have a houseful of men too.”
The single men show up at the girls villa ready to party, but the mood is down. Esonica Veira had a heart to heart with Kareem Thomas. Kate Griffith and Ashley Howland could barely keep their tears from dripping down into their vodka sodas. Chin up ladies, you have a long road ahead of you. Ashley G. was the only one who rallied with some dancing and shots.
Meanwhile, the single ladies discussed how they should greet the guys when they arrive. Medinah Ali offered the classic, “Honey, I’m home!” Kari Nesheim said they should welcome them with shots. Colleen Powers retorted, “Did they come from war? Why are we welcoming them?” The war has just begun!
The next day, the games begin. All the singles line up to get chosen for a first date. David Benavidez is shocked to see Kate there as he was under the impression he didn’t have to see her for the next month. That doesn’t bode well for Kate.
None of the choices made were too surprising. Kate picked Dominique Price, Ashley G. went for KB Brown, Ashely H. picked Deac Conti, and Esonica went with Kareem. David picked Kari, Rick went with Medinah, Casey Starchak picked Payton Burgess, and Gavin Rocker went with Toneata Morgan.
Mark L. Walberg then stirred the pot and asked the couples what they thought about each others choices. David said that he picked Kari because he didn’t have a connection with her, but then admitted in his confessional he only said that so he wouldn’t upset Kate. Doesn’t he know she is going to be shown footage at the bonfire of him admitting he lied? He’s either trying to get her to break up with him, or he is totally clueless.
Ashley H. feared Payton is exactly the type of girl Casey would leave her for, a more confident version of herself. She was also upset that Casey wasn’t jealous of her going on a date. Personally, I think Casey is too self involved to care.
Rick played it cool about Ashley G.’s choice and said KB had a nice smile. But then he stepped in it when he said, “I’m not handcuffing her.” Ashley was pissed! Insinuating they were single was not what she wanted to hear from him.
Later at the guys villa, Kari and David connected even though they agree they are exact opposites. For example, she’s impulsive and likes cliff diving, while David doesn’t want to partake in any activities where one could possibly die. I’m team David on this one.
It also happened to be Casey’s birthday, so shots and twerking took over the evening. Payton made sure to get the most time of all the girls twerking on Casey’s lap. And Casey let his inner douche flag fly when he took off his shirt and flexed his muscles for all to see. Blech.
At the girls villa, Ashley H. vented to Ben Knobloch. She shared that Casey didn’t tell her until several months into dating that he had slept with most of the women he is friends with. I have to agree with her, that was not cool. He should have been upfront about it.
Ashley G. asked KB what his shoe size was. Is that still a thing? For the record, he said it’s a size 13. Things stayed light and flirty between them. Then the sun went down and all hell broke loose.
Ashley G. told KB that she wanted to keep things “PG” but his eyes were saying “rated R.” KB then asked her how much did she want to “feel guilty about” and Ashley replied that the “handcuffs are off.” Then she led KB into the bedroom! WTF.
The funniest part though was Chris Grant and Jose Rodriguez off to the side commenting on the action like Statler and Waldorf from The Muppets. Chris said, “She’s eating it up.” Jose added, “She loves it. Loves it!”
The handcuffs were truly off because then Ashley G. hooked up with KB. This must be a Temptation Island record for a hook up on the second episode. I guess Rick’s comment about not being handcuffed must have hurt Ashley so much that she wanted to hurt him back. If so, her solution was slightly extreme.
Afterwards, KB and Ashley G. went into the confessional room. Ashley gave a “whoops” look and hid her face under a blanket. KB went full on Hollywood and said, “She was in a relationship. It’s over now. I’m the captain now.” Dead! Like I said before, I don’t know how this episode can be topped.
The next day everyone went on their dates. Medinah was a total try-hard with Rick. She shared that she’s so cool because she’s into non traditional relationships. Predictably, Rick asked her stance on threesomes. If Medinah only knew what Ashley G. did last night, she probably wouldn’t have pulled her “I’m down with threesomes” card to win. Rick threw in a little tidbit that Ashley put a bunch of rules onto him, but he didn’t do that to her because he wanted to see “how she acts.” Oh boy.
Deac thanked Ashley H. for picking him. Ashley admitted she picked him because she needed to laugh and not be upset. If Deac the “comedian” can make Ashley stop crying for more than five minutes I’m all for it. Esonica doesn’t have her head in the game with Kareem. She’s upset about Gavin picking Toneata for his date because she looks so different from herself. Hey, even beauty queens get insecure.
The date between Ashley G. and KB was awkward. It was like the cat already got the mouse, so now what? Ashley wanted to focus on figuring out if KB is the right guy for her now. Slow it down girl! Ashley then mentioned to KB that Rick freed her. But as she said the words, she didn’t seem convinced.
Kate spent her date with Dominque almost bursting into tears while she talked about how she wished David would open up and that she wanted to marry him. I would have put a gun to my head, but Dominque was super sweet and was a good listener.
Meanwhile, David is on his date with Kari and had some explaining to do. He apologized he said they didn’t have a connection and said it wasn’t true. Kari took it in stride. To be honest I think that David and Kari actually make a good couple. She has an ease and natural confidence about her that you can tell he finds refreshing. David admitted he wants a more “independent” woman.
Toneata asked Gavin if he thought his girlfriend was “the one.” Gavin responded, “As of right now I can’t answer that question. Not with an honest yes.” Brutal. Still, I’m rooting for Gavin and Esonica to make it through. Out of all the couples, they actually seem good together.
And then the moment we’ve all been waiting for, the bonfire. Quick recap, the bonfire is where the girls and guys sit down with Mark to discuss how their journey is going. Mark then shows each person a quick video of what their partner has been up to in order to “provide perspective on their relationships.” What the heck is Rick going to do when he sees footage of Ashley G. hooking up with KB?
They end up saving the best drama for last and the ladies go to the bonfire first. Ashley H. was crying the minute she sat down. Get a grip! Mark then showed her a clip of the girls twerking on Casey. Ashley was completely over dramatic and acted like there was a death in the family. Mark asked her if she thought she was good enough for Casey. Pretty deep there, Mark!
Kate was at least able to hold her tears in until the video started, so I’ll give her that. Her video clip was of David telling Kari he lied and thinks they do have a connection. Kari also told David that she felt he really opened up to her. Kate was rightfully upset because he is opening up to someone else and his lie proved he wasn’t trustworthy.
Esonica got shown a clip of Gavin telling Toneata that he’s not sure Esonica is the one and that she can be overly emotional at times. Oh hell no! You never tell a woman she’s being too emotional. Esonica couldn’t believe he was talking bad about her to another woman.
Ashely G. gets shown a video of Medinah joking around with Rick that he’s taking her somewhere to propose. She teared up and admitted if that’s the worst clip they have of Rick then she definitely feels guilty about her actions and for what Rick will have to watch at his bonfire.
And now it’s the guys turn. In the car ride on the way to the bonfire, David said that if Kate did something physical with another guy they are done. Rick chimed in that he didn’t think he would see much and that Ashely G. wouldn’t do anything to disrespect him. Famous last words!
Mark preps the guys that every “emotion you feel at bonfire is an answer to a question about how legit is your relationship.” Translation, get ready Rick. But, Casey goes first. He’s shown the clip of Ashley H. sharing she’s uncomfortable Casey has hooked up with his friends. Casey wasn’t a fan of her sharing that with another guy. He admitted he would like her to be more confident in their relationship, and that he is thinking about how he can do better too. It was a more thoughtful answer than what I was expecting from him.
David gets shown a clip of Dominque putting sunscreen on Kate’s shoulders, and Kate admitting she wants to marry David. David shared he felt the video was harmless and that he really just wants Kate to grow and get outside her comfort zone. Gavin then gets shown a clip of Kareem asking Esonica if she ever caught Gavin cheating on her. She didn’t confirm anything but said he can’t have his cake and eat it too. Gavin liked that Esonica didn’t dish any dirt and respected their relationship.
And then we get to Rick. Dun, dun, dun! He gets shown the clip of KB getting into bed with Ashley G. as she giggled and wondered what she got herself into.
Gavin’s jaw was full on dropped to the floor the entire clip! Same, Gavin, same. Rick kept his cool and just raised an eyebrow. We’ll have to wait for next week to get his full reaction. Next week can’t come soon enough!
