Sold on SLC Episode 1 Recap: Sell With One Eye Open

Welcome to the inaugural recap for Sold on SLC. This Salt Lake City-based real estate series is brand spanking new on Bravo, and already, it is a keeper. In this premiere episode, high-end real estate, chaotic staffers, Mormon beliefs, positive LGBTQ narratives, and all of the details that sometimes fall in between emerged, creating highly watchable moments on Bravo, like always.

This new series features Jennifer Yeo, the sole owner of the Presidio Real Estate Group. Underneath Jennifer are five of her sometimes closely-knit realtors from her staff. This team caters to the affluent residents of Utah, and the homes these agents list and sell are beyond. As are their chaotic interoffice dynamics.

Whether you tuned in as it aired or plan on catching up shortly, here is everything that transpired during Sold on SLC Episode 1: “The Jen Commandments.”

What happened in Sold on SLC Episode 1?

In the premiere episode of Sold on SLC, we finally meet Jennifer and her five agents, Kenny Sperry, Malaysia Fua, Matt Jones, Sarah Martindale, and Tyna Edwards.

With strong LDS beliefs at the helm of this series, drama arrives quickly. Former and current members exist on staff, so side-eyes are already taking place.

But the main issue thus far revolves around an agent who might be a sneaky link, or so a few of her costars fear.

A Bravolebrity from a nearby series also appeared, seeking a house filled with unrelatable, highly detailed specs. Long live Salt Lake City.

The agents of Sold on SLC are coming in hot and honest during this series premiere

When Jennifer started her brokerage in 2011, she was broke. But last year, her firm sold 1.2 billion dollars, she proudly exclaims. After gathering her entire firm into a meeting, Tyna emerges as the relatable MVP, standing up to grab a snack from the sadly untouched charcuterie platter.

Tyna is “a Black, lesbian, single mom, with amazing tits, phenomenal cheekbones, [who is] funny, ambitious, [and] clever,” she quips. My fact checks panned out. Tyna is stunning. She is also a solid realtor, with $99,000,000 in lifetime sales thus far.

Matt is weary of Tyna.

Tyna left the Mormon Church. Therefore, Matt worries she might become a bitter Betty towards this belief system.

As for Malaysia, she left for a competing firm a while back, but then she rejoined her former team at Presidio. Malaysia is in the LDS community, but she disagrees with many of their stances, like drinking. They can side-eye her all they want, but they had better enjoy her returned middle finger.

Kenny is weary of Malaysia.

As for the gains Kenny has seen in his real estate career, “God plays a massive role.” He is a self-described 12/10 faithful member of the LDS church and a top producer at Presidio.

But Matt was the Realtor of the Year last year. And he is on a mission to double his sales this year.

Tyna is weary of Matt.

Sarah was not at this meeting, but Malaysia spoke up for her, letting her colleagues know that Sarah just snagged a new listing that their clients might be interested in.

Lisa Barlow enters the chat, tasking Sarah with a laundry list of necessities for her next home

Across town, Sarah prays over her modern-styled listing. This Brazilian transplant is married to a Broker named Chris. His firm competes with Presidio. What could go wrong?

Everything, according to Matt. He thinks that Sarah is “sleeping with the enemy.”

Meanwhile, Sarah feels like Jennifer is turning “slippery” with her. But then, her client arrives, and this house hunter is Lisa Barlow. What are you doing here, Baby Gorgeous? Well, Lisa is buying a house, preferably with 10 to 12-foot ceilings, a pool, an epic driveway, a dry sauna, a guest house, a salon, a tanning room, a place for red light therapy, and rooms for her packages and her computers.

Same.

Sarah tells Lisa that a new build might work best. Nothing like this exists on the market. Lisa agrees. Lisa will be praying for Sarah on this journey.

Back at Presidio, the other agents start filing out of their meeting.

Tyna and Matt butt heads

Matt follows Tyna into her office, which used to be his. Tyna asks Matt to have a seat. After he complies, she questions him. Allegedly, Matt has been going around town, telling people that Tyna does “not believe in God” and that she also “hates Mormons.”

Her daughter and the bulk of the area’s residents are Mormons, so Tyna does not hate these humans at all.

Matt shuts Tyna down. He said nada, he claims. Tyna does not believe him. In his confessional, Matt reveals that he is not her biggest fan.

Malaysia overhears their heated tones, so she enters, standing in the corner like a third-party mediator. But when Matt stands up to leave as Tyna is still speaking, Malaysia notes that all sins that occur in the dark will always emerge in the light.

These ladies appear to be on the same side for now.

Jennifer left the Mormon Church 20 years ago, but “God is everywhere” in Salt Lake City, she quips in her confessional. Her new client is no exception. This family attends church on Sundays, making open houses hard to attend.

We then meet Matt’s family. Matt asked his wife Nicole to marry him at an Olive Garden. Because when you are there, you are family. Unfortunately, their finances are struggling, even though both parties are working.

Jennifer heads to Tyna’s house, her first home after her divorce. Her partner, BJ, is the first woman she has ever been with. Things are going so well that BJ is about to move in with Tyna.

Jennifer is thrilled for her agent, but she is there to gossip. She thinks that shady agents are ruining their industry, and Chris is one. Sarah’s man Chris took 15 of their agents, Jennifer exclaims, annoyed.

Tyna is also annoyed. Matt’s rumors are still plaguing her. Jennifer sighs, wanting her agents to get along.

Matt hosts his first Broker’s Open as Jennifer and Sarah clash

Matt arrives at his only listing in his paired-down car. Smart move, Matt, cars are money suckers. This home belongs to his brother-in-law, and this will be Matt’s first open house as a Broker. Jennifer arrives to help Matt as the other realtors from Presidio arrive.

Kenny likes Matt. He wants his colleagues to thrive. On this same professional note, Tyna also arrives, heading straight for the charcuterie table (as she does).

Sarah approaches Jennifer, trying to clear the air with her boss. Jennifer explains to Sarah why she is annoyed with Chris, but Sarah notes that Chris did not reach out to anyone at Presidio. Instead, these agents left and found Chris on their own.

Jennifer has some doubts, but Sarah stresses that she is not coaching any of her colleagues to leave Presidio for Chris’ brokerage. Knowing that zero resolve would arrive, Jennifer ends their conversation and exits the open house.

“This is a great Broker’s Open,” Tyna jokes, snacking on grapes and cheese.

Later, Jennifer drives to Sarah’s, eager to hash things out with her agent and her man, Chris. Sarah prayed beforehand, but her prayers failed to help. “This is not working for us,” Jennifer begins as the credits roll on another solid real estate-based series.

Three cheers for Sold on SLC Episode 1! This is gonna be great…

Brittany Mahomes, soon to be a mom of three kids, flaunts her baby bump as she nears the end of her pregnancy in another maternity photoshoot. On Monday, Mahomes shared a mix of black-and-white and colorful photos in a dreamy Instagram post. In the stills, she poses flaunting her bare baby bump, occasionally cradling her growing belly. The pictures come days after the 29-year-old dropped a series of her first maternity photoshoot portraits. In the previous photos, she posed alongside her two children, Sterling and Bronze.

Pregnant Brittany Mahomes appears ready to welcome baby number 3 in more beautiful maternity photoshoot drops on Instagram. Mahomes, who already shares two kids with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, poses solo flaunting her bare baby bump in these charming portraits. She wears an all-black two-piece set comprising a maxi skirt and a full-sleeved top with just enough crop to showcase her growing belly. The mom cradles the bump with both her hands in some photos and offers candid poses in others.

The former soccer player accessorized her look with two bangles and wore several rings. Meanwhile, Mahomes’ long blonde locks were tied up halfway into a high ponytail that she styled on either side of her shoulders. In some photos, the hair falls flawlessly on her back. Contrary to the all-black outfit, she wore a white dress in her previous maternity shoot photos. Not only that but Mahomes’ children — Sterling and Bronze — also took her side in the stills as three playfully posed in a plain backdrop.

Brittany Mahomes’ third pregnancy is nearing its end, and her kids and husband seem equally ecstatic to welcome the “baby girl.” She recently dropped heartwarming family portraits on Thanksgiving 2024. In the pictures, the family of four poses in a wooded setting filled with autumn leaves. The Mahomes also celebrated Bronze’s second birthday in a gold-themed birthday bash.
