Bethenny Frankel Reacts To Carole Radziwill’s Comments; All New York Housewives Donated To Disaster Relief Except For Sonja Morgan

Does Bethenny Frankel even know that she is in a “feud” with Carole Radziwill? A lot of the Real Housewives try to seem like they are not bothered by drama, but it really does seem like Bethenny truly has no idea she is in some heated feud with her Real Housewives of New York costar. Or maybe she just doesn’t care.

Carole is tweeting up a storm about Bethenny and calling her out on Watch What Happens Live, but Bethenny is busy running her empire and raising funds for disaster relief. Is this a one-side beef? Or is Bethenny just waiting until drama unfolds on the show before she comments?

Carole was Andy Cohen’s guest on Watch What Happens Live last week, so of course he had Bethenny in the Bravo clubhouse to share her rebuttal the following week. Just in case Bethenny missed Carole’s appearance- which she most likely did- Andy played a clip from the episode when Carole declared, “Everything Bethenny says about me is not true.”

Bethenny started to say, “I think that saying ‘Everything Bethenny says about me is not true’…” It seemed like she was going to just play the logic card and say that it is impossible that every single thing she says about Carole is false, but that is not what happened. Instead Bethenny declared, “The audience would disagree with that because everything I say is always true.” Alright, then.

Andy mentioned that Carole wasn’t pleased with Bethenny’s interview comments. Bethenny told him, “I don’t think I’ve really been talking about Carole that much in my interviews. I said there was a shift and there was. When you come onto a show and you have so many people involved in it, it becomes bigger. The thing is I wanted it just to dissolve and got more intense.”

Bethenny explained the change in their dynamic and emphasized how undramatic it actually was- at least initially. She said, “I think that the way you react to something is as important as the initial something. I think we had a shift I don’t think it was that big of a deal. Everything I said was what was going on. There had been a little bit of a shift.”

She continued, “And I did invite her to stay at my house in the Hamptons and she said she was staying with Tinsley [Mortimer]. It was a little late in the game, but I had my daughter and Dennis [Shields] staying at my house. I wasn’t gonna have cameras in my house with my daughter there. Not to get too meta- fourth wall- but you guys want to film if I’m there with Dennis, Carole, and my daughter.” And just by the way, Dennis was in the Watch What Happens Live audience rocking a Snoopy shirt.

Bethenny added, “She did donate to my charity and I’m so grateful to all the women that donated. Sonja [Morgan] is the only one who didn’t donate. She can donate to whatever she wants to donate to. Everyone do you, boo.” Did she really need to throw in the part about Sonja not donating? Everyone can’t donate to everything. Thankfully she did backtrack a little bit after she revealed that Sonja didn’t donate.

Taking a break from the New York drama, Andy asked Bethenny to share her thoughts on the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion drama that went down between Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes. Bethenny confessed, “That was dirty. I took a bath. I wanted to scrape my body off. That was down and dirty. It was like ‘No, I didn’t do that’ and then there’s a video of me doing that. It’s like never let the truth get in the way of a good lie.”

A caller asked Bethenny, “Which one of the ladies has slept with the most men?” Bethenny answered, “It’s a dead heat between Luann [de Lesseps] and Sonja.” A few questions later, Bethenny elaborated and added, “You know what, Luann was married longer so Sonja has had more time to get work done.”

Andy declared, “We’re gonna take this question to the audience since it’s a great one.” Is it though? Apparently he really does think that is a great question since there was a poll on Monday’s episode asking if Jax Taylor or Shep Rose slept with the most women.

When the poll was displayed, Bethenny’s just looked shocked that it was actually happening. She could barely get out a sentence. She just said, “Holy…no… that’s not fair!” For the record, Sonja “won” with 81% and Andy thought she would be happy about those results…

Later in the episode, a caller asked, “Have you stayed in contact with Jill [Zarin] since Bobby’s [Zarin] funeral?” Bethenny shared, “We have. It’s nice. She’ll text me and we have a nice sort of interaction. It’s clean, which is what I wanted it to be.”

She also gave an update on her disaster relief work: “It’s been 54 planes, cargo ships, $50 million in relief, dogs now. It just grew.” She even shared, ” By the way, Andy donated a plane, very early on”- something Andy has never revealed and he was clearly humbled by the acknowledgement.

Sonja Morgan Vacations In Dubai- Photos

The women on Real Housewives of New York hate on Sonja Morgan for bragging about her world travels, question the authenticity of her stories, and accuse her of living in the past- but maybe they just don’t follow her on Instagram. If they did, they would see Sonja living her best life during a vacation in Dubai.

Just like most other people, Sonja documented her vacation with photos and videos. But maybe she just wanted to stick it to everyone who questioned her self-proclaimed lifestyle as a jet-setter.

Sonja went to the top of the Burj Khalifa, hung out in the desert, enjoyed luxurious meals, showed off some over-the-top fashions during her vacation in Dubai, and of course, she shared a bunch of photos from the trip.

Exclusive – Survivor: Ghost Island’s Jenna Bowman and Michael Yerger, Victims Of New Survivor Twist

It was two-for-the-price-of-one on Survivor: Ghost Island this week, when a game twist sent the remaining 10 contestants scrambling. In the end, two more Malolo bit the dust, one who was a fan-favorite and the other whom just couldn’t seem to catch a break.

The first one to go this week was Jenna Bowman, who started the game on the Malolo tribe and whose game fully epitomizes this season’s “curse” theme. Constantly back-pedaling, Jenna was given scant screen-time throughout much of the season, and never really had a chance to get a foothold in the game due to constantly being in the minority alliance. She wasn’t even given a proper send-off, being told by Jeff Probst to immediately report to the jury, and then was robbed of her traditional credit-sequence good-bye due to the double-vote-out episode. Along the way though, Jenna did build some bonds, namely with Sebastian, whom she is reportedly dating in real life (listen to the Podcast for all the gossip).

The big blow to many viewers this week was that Michael Yerger also saw his torch get snuffed. Michael was a stand-out from the minute he stepped foot on the beaches of Fiji, and if there was ever a young man who was capable of lying-up about his age, it was him. Michael came in as the youngest to ever play the game and set himself up to return on some future season. As mentioned in the episode recap, Michael had it all: The social game, the strategic prowess, the physical ability and the intangible instincts that made him a super-threat. It wasn’t like the others didn’t know this: Michael received 15 votes – and played two Idols – along the way, before finally losing out due to what could be called more bad luck, when he was selected yet again to be in the minority alliance at a Tribal. Bad news for him: His last Tribal Council in the game put him on the same tribe as Dom and Wendell, two Survivor sharp-shooters who were not going to miss out at their chance to take out one of the game’s biggest targets.

I had the chance to speak to both Jenna and Michael today on the FilmSurvivor Podcast (the full audio of which you can find and download at the bottom of this article). But here are some highlights from the interviews:

JENNA INTERVIEW

On how tough it was to get voted out and then have to go immediately to jury:

Jenna Bowman: I don’t know, I just feel like I honestly wasn’t processing, wasn’t paying attention. I was pretty infuriated, I had just been blindsided by someone that I trusted. Then all of sudden your torch is snuffed, you have to turn around and sit on the bench, as they’re all exiting and look in the eyes everyone who just betrayed you. It was hard, and then to top it off, you have to sit there and all of a sudden be in juror mode and have everyone walk in and see that you just got voted out. All you want to do is go process things and decompress and maybe even cry or whatever you need to do, and then on top of that, I have to watch my fellow alliance member Michael get voted out too. So it was a hard night.

MICHAEL INTERVIEW

On dealing with his popularity on the show:

Michael Yerger: The love has been amazing, I’m absolutely humbled and taken aback by the response. I’m so, so happy and grateful that I got to play the game. I’m proud of my game. It’s just been really nice having the Survivor community, which I’ve been a part of and a fan of for so long, you know it really is just full-circle for me as a fan and I just couldn’t be more thankful and pleased.

On lying about his age:

Michael: You know, it’s a hard call. People can see youth as a good thing and they could say, oh he’s just a kid let’s keep him around. Or they could just not take me seriously and think that I’m just naive to a sense. So that definitely could have worked for or against me but at the same time, I’m not wanting to play the game unless I have a good shot of winning and I don’t want people to not take me seriously or just discount everything. So going in I just wanted to maintain the credibility, I just wanted to be a normal guy, a normal player, without any preconceived notions that I would be different or would stick out for any reason. So I just wanted to clear the table immediately, and just keep that on the back-burner and use it if I needed to. I didn’t know what the cast was like, I didn’t know how they’d feel, or if they’d feel insulted, I just had to judge that and if I had made it to Final Tribal I still wouldn’t even be able to tell you right now what I would have done, whether I would have revealed it or would have maintained that lie. But I’m pleased with the decision I made and I definitely think it helped me, just looking at the game thus far.

Report: Jenelle Evans Accused Of Pulling A Gun On Fellow Driver In Road Rage Incident; Will She Be Fired From Teen Mom 2 Over The Incident?

According to a new report Jenelle Evans went flew into an explosive road rage and allegedly pulled a gun on a fellow driver  – all while her son Jace, 7, was in the car with her!

On April 26, the Teen Mom 2 star called 9-1-1 to accuse a fellow driver of aggressively tailgating her and then recklessly cutting her off, causing her to slam on her breaks so hard that Jace “almost hit the dash.” OK, first thing – why is Jace in the front seat? Why is Jace not in a booster seat? Secondly Jenelle did not tell police she had a firearm on her – although the fellow driver she is accused of targeting certainly did! 

This incident is completely crazy – even more crazy than the usual Jenelle insanity. Pun intended, but literally buckle up!

Jenelle told dispatch she was calling from Jace’s phone complaining that her phone “went flying” because she had to slam on her breaks. “I had my son in the car because my son was at therapy. He’s been tailgating me the whole time in traffic. Would not stop. Then he races in front of me and purposely slammed on the brakes at 70 something miles an hour. He is literally going crazy, swerving in and out of lanes.”

Jenelle also alleges that Jace “almost got whiplash and almost hit the dash” in the incident.

HOWEVER the other driver claims Jenelle was recklessly driving, and then followed him to his home where she threatened him with a gun! A report by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center CFS made by the other driver reveals, “A crazy lady followed him to his house, she is fixing to get shot. She was driving blocking traffic, he tried to pass her on the inside like everyone else and she flipped out.”

The report adds that Jenelle “hit his truck, ran over his mailbox and pulled a gun on him.” Police were called to the scene and Radar Online obtained access to the Deputy’s report which reads, “’Suspect [Evans] hit two vehicles in the yard and then she pulled a 10-84/G,'”  10-84/G is police code for “suspect with gun.”

Jenelle wasn’t arrested, but the other driver wants to press charges.

The Ashley’s Reality Roundup confirms the story and adds that Teen Mom 2 cameras were there to capture the entire thing!

A source reveals that Jenelle was taking Jace for ice cream after therapy when the incident erupted. “She flew into a rage. The whole thing was definitely filmed,” the source adds. “There was a full crew was there.” I’m sure this will do wonders for Jenelle’s custody issues with Babs! And her custody dispute with Nathan Griffith…

The source adds that this will likely have larger consequences for Jenelle than the usual legal ones, because network execs have viewed the footage and are “extremely upset by what they’re seeing.”

Apparently there is real concern that the situation with Jenelle has become “too big for them to handle.” Um… took long enough!

“This latest gun-pulling incident has a lot of people– cast and crew– freaked out since the reunion is coming up in a few weeks. Because of David pulling a knife, everyone now has to go through metal detectors before entering the soundstage, but there’s still a concern that Jenelle could bring a weapon to set,” the source reveals.

The source also adds that other cast members “are feeling angry at the show’s producers for allowing it to get to this point.”

Jenelle’s husband, the illustrious David, has already been fired from the show for his homophobic comments, could this be the final nail in the coffin for Jenelle’s MTV career? Guess she’ll have to fall back on medical billing…

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Says Dorit Kemsley “Lives In An Alternate Universe” & “Would Plug Anything To Prove She’s A Good Friend”

Thankfully Season 8 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is almost over. It is beyond me how they managed to drag out the discussion of this painfully boring season into a three-part reunion, yet here we are: one episode away from putting this god awful season behind us.

This season has been downright dreadful. Essentially nothing has happened, yet the loyal fans are still here finishing it up watching the reunion episodes. Now Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is commenting on her tension with Dorit Kemsley– over glassware and tardiness.

Before discussing Dorit, Teddi clarified some comments she made in a Bravo blog post: “Now that you all know the specific size of my breast implants, is there anything else left to share?? I knew the aesthetics question was coming, and I want to reiterate: I misspoke in what I wanted to convey. Obviously, I care about how I look and whatnot, but I’m not one to talk about material things or throw outlandish parties. That’s what I meant.”

Then Teddi admitted, “Yes, I wind Dorit up. That’s the job God that bestowed upon me when he granted me my ‘holier than thou’ position.” Dorit doesn’t need anyone to wind her up. She is ready to stir the pot all on her own.

Teddi recalled, “Yet you can still see that during my lunch with Kyle [Richards], I continue to try and find the positives in Dorit. Like last week, when I got many comments about her offering the advice about adopting a dog from Vanderpump Dogs while I was talking about my IVF struggles, I laughed it off because part of me feels like she just doesn’t think about what she’s saying (and will do anything to plug something to prove she’s a great friend). But, again, I’m starting to learn my lesson watching back.” Dorit is doing what she can to secure her role as Lisa Vanderpump’s sidekick next season after Teddi gave her a run for her money this year.

Teddi continued, “Thing is, even seeing clips and knowing what has happened is documented, Dorit still lives in an alternate universe. They literally show the clip of her complaining about the glass (again) to [Lisa] Rinna, but two minutes later when we’re discussing it, she says all she did was mention it to the bartender when she wanted a refill (which is also wrong, because she passive-aggressively made the original comment when her first drink was filled when I had her come over, ugh, can you believe it— early *eyerolleyerolleyeroll*). ”

Even so, Teddi admitted, “But I really do appreciate Dorit finally apologizing for making me feel uncomfortable in my own home. Like she says, I think if we really work on our ability to communicate, we can be good again.”

Teddi concluded, “Until next week when we finally find out the most pressing matter: Do I raise up or do I get the f— out?!”

Real Housewives Of New York Recap: Tea For Tat

All the chickens come home to roost this week on The Real Housewives Of New York. Well, maybe not all the chickens. Just Scott and Missy, actually. But the random exes of yesteryear still manage to cause a kerfuffle – especially Missy, who may or may not have been the last straw for Luann de Lesseps, who despite appearances, is likely hanging on by a very thin thread. Lest we forget, we are heading straight into Palm Beach territory very soon. So Missy’s appearance at Ramona Singer’s shopping party looms ominous.

Since Dorinda Medley’s beatdown of Sonja Morgan in the Hamptons, Sonja has turned on Ramona Singer – P.O.S., esq. – for not adequately defending her honor. Sonja wants to make it known that she never cheated on her ex-husband in the South of France or anywhere else for that matter! Hmmph. Ramona seems to know better, but can’t handle one more trillionth trip down dementia lane, so she just screams in Sonja’s face instead. Does it work? Not really. But is it the makings of a new fantastic GIF? Absolutely. These to nutcases are made for moments like this.

Ramona shops for a cappuccino machine for Avery, who’s working in finance and living back in the city. Ramona thinks Avery is a chip off the ole’ block, but with eyes that blink. Since Ramona is not only an official P.O.S., but also a certified MAVEN, she’s throwing a shopping party Henri Bendel for all of the girls. Even Sonja.

Bethenny Frankel is at her new apartment looking through blueprints when Sonja pops in for a tour. In an unlikely turn of events, Bethenny – who formerly shouted “SHUT THE F**K UP!!!” in Sonja’s face and berated her for starting a cheater brand – is now Sonja’s sole ally. Sonja can’t believe that Ramona didn’t have her back in the Dorinda fight. “Even prison bitches have each other’s backs!” cries Sonja. Since Bethenny can’t stand Ramona, she gets it. She also thinks Sonja’ self esteem is in the gutter (yup) and Ramona doesn’t want to associate herself with the cast “losers” (double yup).

Sonja also expresses hurt over the fact that Tinsley Mortimer donated $10k to Bethenny’s charity, but acted like she was a struggling wayward socialite when staying at Morgan Manor. The facts are this: Tinsley stayed with Sonja because it was a good storyline. Period. But Sonja came out looking like a shrew at the end of the whole nightmare. Now Sonja wants retribution. I get it, you get it, Bethenny gets it. But no one understands Sonja’s issue because they can’t break the fourth wall and because well, Sonja is batsh*t. Bethenny’s advice that Sonja try to make her points in 140 characters or less in the future is perfect. Because Sonja explaining anything eventually makes most people pukey and disoriented.

Carole Radziwill is out shopping at Sweaty Betty with Tinsley, who wants to know what’s going on with Adam. She saw Carole and Adam together at the marathon, and it didn’t look like a “just friends” situation. Carole swears that they’re not back together. But, ahem, they do get together. Occasionally. Carole doesn’t want Adam seeing anyone else though, which will present major complications down the road…as we’ve seen in the previews. Meanwhile, Tinsley plans to visit her ex-boyfriend, Scott, in Chicago to win him back for good.

While Bethenny is getting outfitted in her new Skinnygirl jeans for a photoshoot, Luann and Dorinda are apartment hunting. Luann needs a turn-key place that only requires her to bring herself, a few trash bags of clothes, and a lamp. Or you know – whatever a Countess brings. The first apartment they check out is super cute, but Lu needs her outdoor space, dammit! She’s lost a penthouse, but not her dignity! She also needs to cleanse her Hamptons home of the Dorinda-splosion that occurred in her pristine white dining area. Dorinda still isn’t over it. She can’t handle Sonja’s delusion, but she’s open to mending fences…someday. “She’s a rattlesnake,” says Dorinda. “Hold her up by the tail and shake. Once bitten, twice shy honey!” Thus, Dorinda serves up ’80s rock anthem goodness and shades Sonja in one fell swoop. #Legendary

Over at Tinsley’s hotel/home/staging area, she’s getting dolled up by PRIV (who else?!) before heading to Ramona’s Henri Bendel party. She’s leaving for Chicago the next day, therefore she obviously needs someone to rub lotion on her hands and curl her hair before boarding a plane. It rubs the lotion on the hands and curls the hair or it gets the Peter Pan collar again! 

Meanwhile, Carole and Luann are meeting for tea sandwiches and an attempt at a truce. Their friendship fractured when Adam came into the picture and it will never be the same. Even though Luann says all is forgiven, Carole doesn’t believe it. Truthfully, it doesn’t seem like Lu give two sh*ts about Adam anymore. But she does care about HER MARRIAGE, which Carole never acknowledged breaking up. Um. Who actually cares? No one. Luann is done with the tit-for-tat pettiness. She’s got a cabaret show to prepare for! Right after she loses her mind on some cops down south, that is…

Back at Tinsley‘s, she’s donning her best Shirley Temple red dress and saying farewell to the hotel staff. (Her only human interaction most days, I assume.) But wait – who should knock at the door? It’s Scott! With flowers! He’s come back to whisk his princess off to Chicago and away from this lonely life locked in a tower of luxury! Annnnnnnd scene. Well – not quite! After Tinsley gathers her one remaining wit, she calls Carole to tell her the good news, but Carole already knows. She coached Scott along, actually. She also offers to tell Ramona that Tins won’t be at her party that night, as she’s off to Chicago with her man. Who probably needs a quick change of drawers after the scare he just had.

While Tinsley is whisked away from her life, Bethenny is at home discussing how B-Strong can continue helping Puerto Rico. She’s planning a trip there soon and wants to bring Dorinda, perhaps the only person in their gang of high maintenance women who can handle doing real work.

Ramona’s party is coming together at Henri Bendel, mostly because she’s forcing the staff to carry trees and fake presents to all corners of the room in service of her “vision.” Question: How do I get my dog to obey me as readily as most humans obey Ramona? Seriously. Carole arrives first in what Ramona calls a robe because…um, it’s a robe. Right?! But it’s the next guest who will make the most impact on this lil’ soiree. Missy – Tom D’Agostino’s ex girlfriend who he continued to flirt with while married to Luann – has entered the building. Because OF COURSE, Ramona invited her. Wow.

Luann sees Missy across the room, then manages a pinched smile and a few pleasantries when Missy says hello to her. She also manages not to throat-punch Ramona for inviting her. They’ve got other things to discuss anyway – namely, Sonja. Speaking of the devil/angel/very confused madame, Sonja shows up at that very moment to wander through the room looking for someone to acknowledge her presence. Luann feels sorry for Sonja, but she’s got Tom’s ex-chick in here to avoid, so she’s busy. Carole takes off. And Dorinda is all about drinking wine and taking selfies in front of toy soldiers. So, Ramona and Sonja are forced to circle each other in silence until they finally face off.

Long argument short: Sonja swears she never cheated, but Ramona doesn’t know WTF happened because they weren’t even friends back then. She also knows better than to go head to head with a heated Dorinda, so what does Sonja expect of her? Lastly, Ramona’s got some DIRT on Sonja that she’s not divulging right now. So she thinks Sonja should just STFU, apologize, and keep it moving. In order to make her point clear, Ramona cups her hands into a makeshift megaphone to shout it in Sonja’s face. Guys – it’s almost on the level of “Calm down! Take a XANAX!!” Which is, for me, epic.

But because Sonja and Ramona are twin-lunatics, Sonja just megaphones her right back. Then Ramona wants to slap a band-aid apology on the situation, which Sonja thinks is insane. But she’s an actual insane person this season, so who the f**k knows what will happen next? One thing happening right now is some serious flirting! Yes, Luann has found a man at Ramona’s party and she plans to move in on that sh*t –  if only to show Missy who’s boss. Because – guess what? – the dude she’s set her sights on is literally Missy’s Plus One! Ooooh, girl. Dorinda is all, “Go for it, Countess!” as the two of them swill drinks.

Finally, Ramona gets fed up with Sonja and comes over to infiltrate Do and Lu’s chill vibe. No one knows what to do with a problem like Sonja Tremont Morgan. Meat cleanse? Electroshock therapy? Exorcism? Maybe Luann can fix her? (Nope. She’s going to be busy fixing herself all too soon.) In any case, it’s a lost cause tonight so they just give up.

See? You can decorate a beautiful store with holiday finery, but you can’t expect the RHONY ladies to class up the joint. And this is why they have my heart, now and forever.

Next week, Carole gets wind of Adam dating someone else, Luann talks about her divorce with her daughter, and Bethenny rethinks bringing Dorinda to Puerto Rico after Do gets messy-drunk at dinner. Uh oh.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta & Potomac Support NeNe Leakes At Comedy Show In Washington DC- Photos

After the Uber comment controversy, NeNe Leakes is back at it with her comedy show. Her latest show went down in Washington, D.C. and she had her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Cynthia Bailey on hand for support.

Real Housewives of Potomac cast members Karen Huger, Candiace Dilliard, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, and Monique Samuels turned the comedy show into an Atlanta/Potomac crossover by showing up to support NeNe as well. Karen’s husband Ray Huger, Candiace’s fiancé Chris Bassett, and Monique’s husband Chris Samuels were also on hand to check out NeNe doing her thing in the nation’s Capitol.

Did the Real Housewives cast members even get together if they didn’t take photos together? Of course not. Pics or it didn’t happen. All of the Potomac and Atlanta Housewives intermingled and took a lot of photos together to mark the crossover occasion.

Survivor shakes up the double-elimination episode, and a player makes history

While the end result of Survivor Ghost Island episode 11 was probably the same that it would have been after two regular episodes—two often-targeted Malolos joining the jury—the path to getting there was far more entertaining than two regular episodes might have been. Survivor: Ghost Island Episode 11 Recap: Double Trouble

There was two-times the fun on this week’s episode of Survivor, when we got to witness two Immunity Necklaces, two Tribal Councils, and even a contestant who got to cast two votes. This wasn’t the usual late-season case of “let’s-mash-two-tribal-councils-into-one-episode-because-the-votes-are-so-predictable.” Instead, it was a pretty cool game twist that added new, exciting and complex layers to a game that already has several of them.

But before we dive in, as I do at the beginning of every Recap, please heed the following: Remember that this recap assumes that you have already seen this week’s Episode 11 of Survivor: Ghost Island, so if you have not and don’t want to be spoiled, please come back later! It’s important to add too that while we WILL hit on all of the important developments of the episode, this is not a linear “blow-by-blow” recap, and is more of a discussion and reaction of what we just witnessed together.

Yes, tonight’s episode felt like a nice jolt to this season, giving us not one but two Tribal Councils. I was a bit leery when I first heard Probst describing this shake-up, but I thought it played out nicely. Tribal Councils with five or less players will always be more dramatic, because the stakes are higher and each vote has more weight, and tonight we got to see a lot of intense game-play. Ultimately, two Malolo members were sent to jury, so even though the outcome might have ended up being predictable, the journey to that point felt fresh and inspired.

First out we had poor Jenna, who just has gotten a raw deal this season. There seems to always be one player who just can’t ever get a break (more than one usually) and this season it was Jenna. She constantly found herself in the minority of her tribe, and only won Immunity (as a tribe) three times all season. Fitting then, that Jenna even got the shaft on her way out, not getting the usual “walk of shame” after getting her torch snuffed, where normally contestants can have a chance to decompress and even touch base with the Survivor psychologist and doctors. No, Jenna experienced a Survivor rarity, of getting voted out and then having to immediately sit in as a jury member at Tribal. Top it all off, but because of the way the episode was structured, we didn’t even get to hear a good-bye message from Jenna. At least Jenna did leave the game a winner in one respect: There has pretty much been confirmation that she is currently in a relationship outside of the game with Sebastian, a topic I’ll be sure to ask her about on this week’s double-sized FilmSurvivor Podcast.

But Jenna leaving is but a footnote to my RealityTea peeps…I know that this week is a sad one for many of you as fan-favorite Michael finally saw his survival streak come to an end. Yes Michael is dreamy, I get it, and I thought it was only appropriate that Kellyn would address this in-show at Tribal, when someone said that “all eyes are on Michael” and she replied with a, “Well of course, um, I mean, look at him!” The young whippersnapper will be 20 years old this July, but was just 18-going-on-30 when Ghost Island taped. And while there have been several hunky, sexy contestants on the show over the years (both men and women), few seemingly have had it all: The looks, the attitude, the physicality, the mental toughness, the strategic prowess and the strong social game. To think that he was also the youngest player ever to play Survivor by age, makes Michael all the more impressive. He was definitely a stand-out this season and is my vote for one of the players that should definitely be chosen to play the game again at some point in the future. In his 29 days in the game, he saw his name written down 15 times, he also played a few Idols and somehow slithered his way out of more than a few tight spots. I know his exit will have many of you sad or angry, but I say stick around for the rest of the season…if for nothing else, you’ll get to see Michael at each and every Tribal from here on out!

We’re now down to eight players left – and two regular episodes leading into the two-hour Finale on May 23rd. Despite tonight’s episode getting right down to the business of the two Tribals, we also had a few other big developments.  First, Laurel‘s relationship with Dom and Wendell seems to have been strengthened…for once this season, Laurel’s fate really did lay in Dom and Wendell’s hands this week. Kellyn definitely shook things up by using her double-vote advantage – both cast against Laurel – a move that will surely have ramifications.

Elsewhere, Donathan was teetering on doing something stupid, when he told Jenna that he would play his Idol on her, and then avoided doing something even stupider when he almost didn’t play his Idol at all. Now granted, had he not played his Idol, he would not have gone home this week, but I think given the circumstances, he absolutely had to play his Idol – and on himself – in a week that was so volatile, and with only one other potential Malolo (Jenna) at his Tribal.

Both Donathan and Laurel have survived the purging of all of their fellow Malolo’s, so next week is when we should start seeing the Naviti begin to eat each other alive. If they really are four-strong with Dom and Wendell, next week will be their toughest challenge, as with eight players left in the game, it will take a major coup to derail them…but at next week’s Tribal, they will need at least one more person in their alliance to have the majority…who can they convince to vote with them, knowing that whomever does is surely going to be on the bottom?

Episode Take-Away: Maybe my favorite episode of the season, and not just because there was no time to squeeze in the lameness that is Ghost Island. Both of the votes made sense, but the real telling thing to me was that clearly nobody sees that Donathan and Laurel are a power couple. Sebastian, Angela and Chelsea – the so-called barnacles on the Good Ship Naviti, that just continue to cling and coast along – could only have voted out Jenna with the knowledge that Donathan had a hidden Idol, but we were given no sign that any of them are even the least bit aware that there is a power-foursome in their midst. Kellyn is now the main leader in the opposition party, but now she is fighting an uphill battle with both Dom and Wendell possessing Idols…man could she use that double-vote advantage NEXT week, when it would have been a 4-4 split and her extra vote could have really swung things. Had she just trusted Dom, she’d still have her advantage, but then again, her instincts to NOT trust Dom are solid…you’ve got to give her that.

Next Week’s Episode: As we could have predicted, the “Naviti Strong” alliance is about to finally blow up. But bring your tissues as well, because next week will also be the famed “Loved Ones” episode. I’m not crying, you’re crying!
