Vivienne’s petition follows similar legal name change requests from siblings Zahara and Maddox. Court documents list the reason for her request as “personal.” For those unversed, Pitt and Jolie’s children have lived with their mother since the couple’s divorce in 2024.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne has filed a legal request to forgo her father’s last name. The 18-year-old has filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court requesting that her legal name be changed from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.

The court documents obtained by PEOPLE state that the reason for the name change is listed as “personal.” As per the documents, a hearing on Vivienne’s petition has been scheduled for November 2. In May 2024, the 18-year-old was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for Broadway’s The Outsiders. She produced the play in collaboration with her mother.

Vivienne is the latest of the former couple’s children to initiate legal steps to remove her father’s last name. Her siblings Zahara and Maddox also initiated the legal process. Zahara is requesting to legally change her name to Zahara Marley Jolie. On the other hand, Maddox is seeking to be legally addressed as Maddox Chivan Jolie. His hearing is scheduled for September 14, and Zahara’s hearing is set for September 28. 

Back in 2024, Pitt and Jolie’s daughter Shiloh dropped Pitt from her name and is now known as Shiloh Jolie. The 20-year-old’s petition was granted in August 2024. A source close to Pitt previously told the outlet, “It’s sad to see someone repeatedly publicize their successful alienation of their children from the other parent.”

Previously, Jolie lavished praise on her children and shared with PEOPLE, “I have six very individual human beings in my home. I am so excited about all the different stages and feelings and curiosities that they go through. Why wouldn’t you be? We’re supposed to help them figure out who they are. And you can’t figure out who they are if you don’t enthusiastically develop with them.”

The full sequence shows Yamal first greeting FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who welcomed him with an arm around his shoulder. Trump then extended his hand. Yamal briefly looked downward, moved his hand forward, appeared to hesitate for a split second, and then completed the handshake before continuing toward the medal presentation. Whatever the reason for the pause, the ceremony ended with the two shaking hands.

At the same time, an entirely different video began circulating on X, TikTok and other platforms claiming Yamal had refused Trump’s handshake altogether. The clip appears to show the Barcelona star pulling his hand away while Trump is left reaching forward. However, BBC Verify reported that the footage had been edited in a misleading way. The original broadcast clearly shows Yamal shaking Trump’s hand before moving on to receive his medal.

The altered clip is part of a broader wave of manipulated content involving Yamal that has circulated online in recent days. BBC Verify also identified AI-generated or digitally edited posts falsely depicting the Spanish forward making an obscene gesture toward Lionel Messi and wearing a Palestinian flag during unrelated scenes. None of those viral images or videos are real.

A Today Show security guard reportedly faced discipline after a hate-crime suspect got near the studio and approached Craig Melvin. The incident took place during a live broadcast and caused a brief disruption as staff moved to address the situation. This isn’t the first on-air disruption for a daytime show, though cases with an intruder facing criminal charges are few and far between.

NBC allegedly dismissed a security guard after an intruder got onto the Today Show set and confronted co-host Craig Melvin on Thursday, July 16.

TMZ reported that the guard was fired that same day after a man bypassed security at the show’s NYC headquarters. The individual was reportedly searching for meteorologist Al Roker. He ended up lunging at the broadcaster and shouted a racial slur at him.

According to the outlet and the New York Police Department, Andrew Truelove, 41, was taken into custody. The charges include hate crime criminal trespass, along with hate crime menacing, hate crime burglary, and harassment.

Meanwhile, a Today Show spokesperson told Us Weekly in a statement, “There was a security incident this morning at the Today Show studio. An individual entered an unauthorized area in a vestibule near Studio 1A. The person approached anchor Craig Melvin, who alerted security. The individual was detained and taken into custody by law enforcement without further incident. There was no altercation, and no one was injured. Today is cooperating fully with law enforcement as they investigate the matter.”

“NBC and Today take the safety and security of our employees, talent, staff and guests extremely seriously. We are reviewing the incident and our security protocols and remain committed to providing a safe and secure environment for everyone who works at and visits our studios,” they added.

Additionally, Craig Melvin took to Instagram on Thursday evening to address the intruder incident, writing: “Hey everyone. I’ve heard from so many of you over the last few hours. I’m doing just fine. Thanks for reaching out. I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning on @todayshow.”
