Unfortunately, Brandi Glanville has another problem to add to her increasingly long list. As we all know, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been fighting with a facial “parasite” and sunk herself into some major medical debt trying to get answers.
The jury is still out on what exactly caused the medical problems, and to add insult to injury, she now says she’s been hacked. Her personal information has been compromised, and she wants the FBI’s help to stop it.
Brandi Glanville is dealing with an email and credit hack
According to TMZ, Brandi filed two reports with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. In one report, she detailed how one of her doctors received a text from someone with a Michigan area code claiming to be her.
The text read, “Hey Dr. Ourian, it’s Brandi Glanville! Hope you dont mine me messaging you, but two weeks out and I feel sooo much better! I was sooo nervous prior to the procedure! You have been like an answer to my prayers! Can’t thank you enough! Hi!”
When the doctor texted back asking about the change in phone number, the fraudster kept going. They were fully pretending to be Brandi.
“Yes! When w/a different carrier over the weekend and this is my new number,” the text allegedly read.
In the second report, Brandi detailed how she received an email from someone claiming to have access to all of her passwords, contacts, and banking information. Supposedly, this person demanded $7,500 in bitcoin and threatened to “wreak havoc” if she didn’t pay up.
Of course, we all get weird emails and throw them into the spam folder. Brandi didn’t think much of it—especially as she was actively dealing with the facial parasite saga. In the FBI report, Brandi said she deleted the strange email and moved on.
However, Brandi recently learned that her credit cards had been compromised by someone in Ukraine. She now feels confident that it’s related to the email she deleted.
It’s unclear if the FBI will follow up on the complaint. In the meantime, sources close to Brandi said she’s working with her banks to resolve the fraudulent charges.
