Real Housewives Star and Her Husband Arrested for Alleged Shoplifting

Grocery prices are rising across the country, but can you imagine how many groceries you’d have to try to put in your cart to get to $5,300? Allegedly, Real Housewives of Pretoria alum Melany Viljoen wanted to find out.

The South African Housewife was arrested earlier this week in Florida alongside her husband, Petrus Viljoen. They reportedly tried to make off with a cart full of free groceries from Publix, but the police quickly caught up to them.

According to police records reviewed by People, the Boca Raton Police Department accused the South African nationals of using a “ticket-switching” scam to make off with a cart full of groceries they didn’t actually buy.

Allegedly, Petrus distracted the unsuspecting Publix employee while Mel got to work. She’d go through the self-checkout and pretend like she was scanning in her groceries. Investigators claim she actually scanned in a bunch of seasoning packets.

Surveillance footage and transaction details appeared to show 392 items not properly scanned. Some of those items included wine, soda, toilet paper, produce, and all sorts of other household essentials. These two had a fully loaded cart, and the grocery store’s security cameras appeared to show them waltzing out to their black Range Rover with all of the items.

The police caught up with the couple on Tuesday, March 10, and arrested them during a traffic stop. They pulled them out of their Range Rover, and allegedly, the former Housewife tried to tell the police that she pulled the stunt because she was in “survival mode.” She said that she’s having a hard time finding work in the United States because she doesn’t have a visa.

Mel also reportedly told the cops that she acted alone in this misguided grocery haul. She wanted to take the fall for her husband, but the cops weren’t buying it. They felt like Publix gave them enough evidence to arrest both of them.

Cops charged the husband and wife duo with aggravated grand retail theft over $3,000. They’re both being held on a $10,000 bond each, and of course, they’re innocent until proven guilty.

Official White House Posts Meme Video on X to Celebrate Iran Strikes

The White House has recently attracted attention for posting memes to celebrate the strikes on Iran amid the war on its X (formerly Twitter) account. Donald Trump launched Operation Epic Fury with Israel against Iran last month. Since then, he and his administration have frequently posted on social media about the war.

The internet users were taken aback recently after the White House took to its social media account and made a celebratory post about the strikes on Iran.

The X (Twitter) post, a meme that throws shade at the Iranian regime, has garnered approximately 24.4 million views so far. In the caption, the White House wrote “STRIKE” and shared a 30-second video that starts with professional bowler Pete Weber knocking down all the pins in one go in a championship game against Mike Fagan.

At the 6-second mark, X users can notice the animated bowling pins carrying guns and a placard that reads, “We won’t stop making nuclear weapons!”

The pins, identified as the “Iranian regime officials,” are then assembled together as a bowling ball, resembling the United States strikes them all down. The scene then transforms into a fighter jet dropping missiles on several locations.

The meme video immediately became a hot topic on the platform, with one user commenting, “Me triple checking if this a parody account.” Another user named Josh Larky also criticized the clip and wrote, “Videos like this will one day be shown in history classes, detailing the embarrassing AI slop war propaganda shoved down our throats.”

Meanwhile, a third X user echoed the same thoughts and asserted, “War is not a game. War is not a meme. War is life and death for so many. And the Trump White House posts…this????”

On the other hand, many also complimented the edit, with a user stating, “Whoever is behind the White House social media accounts needs a raise. Their edits are fire.”

Katy and Orlando dated from 2016, before separating in 2017 and reconciling the following year. They got engaged in 2019 and welcomed a daughter in 2020, before calling quits for good in 2025.

While Josh didn’t get into specifics about his mother’s medical problems, it seems like the two are incredibly close. The man who originated the role of Elder Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon has posted plenty of pictures online with his mother, including a 2024 birthday tribute. During this tough time, Josh asked fans to “please keep my mom in your prayers.”

His role in the Frozen franchise has made Josh and many in the cast household names, including Idina Menzel. The lead who voices Elsa in the animated films had a reported net worth of $18 million last year.

It will be a busy 2026 for Josh with the third Angry Birds movie currently in production, while he will also feature in Orangutan. He is also set to co-star in Spaceballs 2 alongside Mel Brooks and Rick Moranis next year.

On Sophie Bush’s Work in Progress podcast, Jerry shared how Rebecca told him, “she would not touch me if I smoked.” This apparently went on for nearly two months.

That was all the motivation Jerry needed to break the habit. However, quitting proved to be easier said than done. Willpower evidently wasn’t enough, so he asked a friend who’d quit smoking for help. That led the actor to enlist a hypnotist’s help to kick the habit for good.

He had to bring a photo of his wife and daughters to his first hypnotist session. That session consisted of him sitting in a reclined position, listening to spa music and falling asleep as the hypnotist counted down. While he initially felt the session was a waste, he was proven wrong. He says that when he tried smoking again, he put the cigarette in his mouth and try as he might, he could not light up.

Nowadays, Jerry has not touched a cigarette in 14 years. He’s in a healthy relationship and making news for his good deeds. In late February, he helped push a car out of the snow. The vehicle was driven by someone who worked for TMZ. Jerry’s last film credit was in the 2023 comedy The Donor Party.

Sarah Ferguson’s Epstein Files Email Congratulates Him on ‘Baby Boy’

New evidence involving Sarah Ferguson’s email in the Epstein files has brought back the question of whether Jeffrey Epstein had a secret baby boy. TMZ reported that a document in the Epstein files includes a claim from a woman who told federal investigators that Epstein said he fathered a child with a blonde woman he described as “perfect.”

The woman, who accused Epstein of sexually assaulting her for years from when she was 16, reportedly told the FBI that Epstein pointed to a photo inside his New York City mansion and said the woman pictured was the mother of his child.

TMZ reported that Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, allegedly congratulated Jeffrey Epstein on having a “baby boy” in an email, according to the new Epstein files released by the Department of Justice. The outlet reported she wrote that she heard the news from her ex-husband, ex-Prince Andrew.

In addition to the email, the files reportedly include photos of Epstein hugging a woman holding a baby, as well as another image of Epstein holding a baby, with the faces redacted.

Additionally, The Daily Beast reported on the email previously and published the text attributed to Ferguson. In the email, Sarah Ferguson allegedly wrote to Jeffrey Epstein, “Don’t know if you are still on this bbm but heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy,” adding, “Even though you never kept in touch, I am still here with love, friendship, and congratulations on your baby boy. Sarah xx.”

The email has fueled speculation, but Epstein’s younger brother has resisted it. As such, The Daily Beast reported last month that Mark Epstein said, “He doesn’t have any kids,” and claimed Ferguson’s email “wasn’t directed at Jeffrey, it was directed at somebody else.” He added that it “doesn’t make any sense” that “Fergie was the only person on the planet that saw Jeffrey had a fictitious kid.”

Though the record stays murky, the Epstein files contain allegations and photos that raise questions, with no public confirmation that Epstein had any children.

The Pima County Sheriff has a lot more than just Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance to deal with. Chris Nanos has been featured prominently in the news since the 84-year-old went missing in Tucson, Arizona. Police believe the mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie was kidnapped from her home.

Chris has done several interviews about the investigation, and like many, he’s been very emotional about it. Nancy’s been missing for over a month. Now Chris’s alleged past behavior is surfacing as the search for Nancy continues.

Finding Nancy may be the least of Chris’ worries right now. Pima County Jail inmate Christopher Michael Marx alleges that the Sheriff’s Department threatened his safety with “cruel and unusual punishment.” According to The Hill, a Sheriff’s deputy was working between the prisoners’ unit and another unit in quarantine when they inmate felt his health was in danger.

The inmate is pointing the finger at Chris for allegedly failing to ensure his team followed COVID-19 protocol. Chris is being sued for $1.35 million. An inmate reportedly contracted COVID while working in between units.

This news comes as Chris and investigators are in a desperate search to track down a suspect and chase down leads in Nancy’s disappearance. Days after she went missing, Chris shared his belief that Nancy had been “taken.”

The inmate filing the lawsuit has asked for the Sheriff to apologize while alleging his life was put in danger. He’s apparently seeking $1.35 million in compensation. This is apparently to fund rent-free apartments for homeless people to live in for six months.

This allegation against Chris comes at a time when his department is facing scrutiny for Nancy’s disappearance. A suspect description was made, but they have yet to apprehend someone in this matter. A good number of people in the public have said they’ve lost confidence in the investigation team. Nancy was declared missing on February 1.

Why Harry Jowsey Is ‘Glad’ He Is No Longer Friends With the DWTS Cast

Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars featured Harry Jowsey of Too Hot to Handle fame. He was paired with a newbie pro, Rylee Arnold. The duo had great chemistry, but Harry struggled in the ballroom.

That doesn’t sound like the close-knit DWTS family that we watch on our screens. “I’m kind of glad that I’m not friends with any of them,” the Perfect Match star, and former fboy, stated. He said that he’s not certain if the DWTS cast members are “really real people.”
