Top publicist Peggy Siegal has revealed that the late financier Jeffrey Epstein wanted to become friends with A-list director Woody Allen. Epstein was released from prison after serving a 13-month sentence in July 2009, in relation to child prostitution charges. After this, Siegal tried to reintegrate him into high society. After this information was released in the emails released by the Department of Justice, Siegal’s stature in the industry was affected.

According to a report by OK Magazine, publicist Peggy Siegal recently revealed that Jeffrey Epstein tried to befriend director Woody Allen after his release from prison in 2009. He invited the director and his wife, Soon-Yi Previn, to a party in December 2010.

In an email shared by the outlet, Siegal wrote to the convicted financier, “Woody is a great idea. Do you know Woody? I do. Could there be any resistance because he had a public issue with Soon-Yi? … just thinking ahead.” Siegal also suggested that Epstein invited Allen’s friend and art dealer, Lorinda Ash, to the party.

In September 2025, in an interview with The Sunday Times, Allen revealed how he went to the party with his wife and also had dinner with then-Prince Andrew. He stated, “Someone, a publicist, invited Soon-Yi and me to a dinner at Jeffrey’s house with one of those British royals. I can’t remember the name because I don’t follow the royals with any interest at all. There were about twenty people there, and we knew a lot of them from show business. I don’t want to say who.” He further stated that he and his wife “didn’t know Jeffrey at all then, but we see all these people there, and they all embraced him, so we figured, ‘OK, he’s a substantial character.”

The speculations received a boost after AI-generated pictures of the couple’s big day made their way online. Recently, the actress humorously addressed both hot topics with a “real” video.

The Euphoria star appeared in a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her new film The Drama, co-starring Robert Pattinson. In it, the host brought up circulating news stories alleging that her and Tom Holland’s wedding took place, telling Zendaya about the intense fan speculation.

The two-time Emmy winner neither confirmed nor denied the speculation. She instead acted shocked and replied before laughing, “Really? I haven’t seen any of them.”

Kimmel also brought up viral AI-generated social media photos of Zendaya and Holland’s wedding. The former acknowledged how people were easily fooled by those due to their realism. The Challengers actress recalled how she was approached by fans who complimented her on the photos, only for her to tell them that they were AI.

She also revealed her close friends were fooled by the photos and became upset with her, as they didn’t get invited to her and Holland’s wedding.

The Dune star then shared an edited wedding clip from The Drama to “clear the confusion.” In it, a cropped photo of Holland’s face was pasted over Pattinson’s body. Before rolling the video, she clarified that it wasn’t shared anywhere else.

After seeing the clip, Kimmel pointed out the obvious. Zendaya jokingly denied this, saying, “That was real footage.” She further joked, “That was real. I was there.”

The actress and Holland have not officially confirmed their wedding. This tracks with their preference to keep their relationship private. RadarOnline reported earlier this month, citing a source, that the couple always planned to keep their nuptials a private affair to reflect who they were in their personal lives, away from the cameras.

“For them, marriage was about making a promise in front of the people who truly matter,” the source added. “Not creating a global media moment.”

The arts community recently criticized Timothy Chalamet for saying “no one cares” about ballet and opera during a televised sit-down with Matthew McConaughey. And it seems this statement came to haunt the best actor nominee. Chalamet was repeatedly mocked for his comment at the Academy Awards 2026. 

“Security is extremely tight tonight. I’m told there’s concerns about attacks from both the opera and ballet communities,” said the Oscar host Conan O’Brien in his monologue while looking at the actor. 

Even Alexandre Singh, who won Best Live Action Short Film for “Two People Exchanging Saliva,” took a jibe during his speech, saying that “We believe art can change people’s souls,” adding that the change may take “ten years, but we can change society through art, through creativity, through theatre and ballet — and cinema.”

Moreover, a musical number from the movie “Sinners,” with ballerina Misty Copeland dancing in the lead, also took place at the event. She had earlier criticized Chalamet for his cultural views. 

As a result of repeated mocking, onlookers told The Sun, the couple walked out of the ceremony for an hour. According to the source, “Timothee and Kylie were replaced by seat fillers for an hour.” “It seems like he had enough of being the butt of the jokes.
