Porsha Williams Promises RHOA Season 17 ‘Was Not a Dark Season’

Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta went off the rails with gun threats, a controversial poster board, and a midseason cast shakeup that we still haven’t fully accepted. Fortunately, Porsha Williams says that lighter days are ahead with Season 17. It sounds like everyone kept their pistols and their poster boards at home this time around.

Season 16 was Porsha’s big comeback to Bravo, but it wound up getting soured by her divorce from Simon Guobadia and her friendship breakup with Shamea Morton Mwangi. With all that in mind, she told Us Weekly that she said she wanted a “clean slate” going into Season 17.

“I wanted to be open to new friendships … and have this season feel like a breath of fresh air,” Porsha explained.

Porsha will navigate two new friendships in Season 17, in addition to fixing her screwed-up dynamic with Shamea. A sneak peek at the premiere shows Porsha inviting Love & Hip Hop alum K. Michelle to a dinner party. Restaurateur Pinky Cole will also join in on the fun, and according to Porsha, they both brought “very entertaining, positive energy.”

“We definitely needed to get back to the fun shade of Housewives and having a good time, and [K. Michelle] can do that. And Pinky is a business powerhouse — she comes with the TED Talks,” Porsha teased.

“She is one of those friends that is just super encouraging,” Porsha continued. “She’s big when it comes to energy and sisterhood.”

Naturally, a little shade comes with the territory of RHOA, and Porsha promised that we’ll see plenty of it. She said to expect some epic “read-down sessions” in Season 17, but rest assured, it won’t get toxic. No one got fired halfway through filming, and we’re assuming we won’t hear about any lawsuits against Bravo once this season wraps.

“This was not a dark season,” Porsha explained. “It probably could have gone there, but it just wasn’t. We all want to be friends, and we’re grown.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres on Sunday, April 5 at 8/7c on Bravo. Stream it the next day on Peacock.

During a new interview, Zendaya asked Robert Pattinson to choose between Batman and Spider-Man. The British star gave a clear answer and even gave a reason for the same, and the Euphoria star was rather shocked upon hearing it. The duo is currently busy promoting The Drama.

Robert Pattinson reveals why he would choose Batman over Spider-Man

Robert Pattinson began starring as Batman in the DC Elseworlds in 2022, while Zendaya’s alleged husband, Tom Holland, is the MCU’s Spider-Man. Pattinson and Zendaya asked each other rapid-fire questions for Vogue’s Off the Cuff, released on March 31.

During Round 4: Lighting Round, the Disney alum asked Pattinson to choose between Batman and Spider-Man. “Ooh, careful now,” she said playfully, while her co-star thought about it. The Twilight star replied, “I don’t know really what I’m considering. Obviously, Batman,” before saying, “Batman is like way cooler.” Shocked by his answer, Zendaya exclaimed, “Oh girl… okay.”

The stars have also found themselves in the midst of a never-ending debate about who would win in a fight between Batman and Spider-Man. During a new LADbible Entertainment interview, the question came up, and Zendaya was quick to answer it. She claimed that Spider-Man would win due to his abilities, and also pointed out that Batman does not have any superpowers.

Pattinson, on the other hand, had a hard time answering it. He agreed with Zendaya about Batman’s lack of superpowers, saying, “I mean, the thing he has like superpowers, right?” However, he refrained from giving a clear answer to that question and joked, “Oh, I can’t do it. Contractually can’t.” This prompted Zendaya to take another playful jibe, saying, “We all know what he really thinks.”

The topic came up once again during their appearance on the April 1 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Pattinson said, “We keep getting asked who would win the fight? Spiderman or Batman? I’m like, I’m like, legally not allowed to say.”

Despite walking away from Southern Hospitality, alum Will Kulp is still the center of attention. If you don’t recall, he had a very chaotic final season. He was accused of cheating on his long-term girlfriend Emmy Sharrett. On top of this allegation, he was continuously ruffling feathers among his cast members.

Just as it was for everyone else, the Season 3 reunion was the time to confront it all. However, Will not only bailed on the reunion, but he soon revealed that he was leaving the show for good. Imagine the cast’s surprise when months later he shows up on the mainstage at the 2025 BravoCon. The convention has come and gone, but his former co-stars still have a big problem with his presence.

Multiple Southern Hospitality stars have just called out Will for his Vegas appearance. Bradley Carter, who was very invested in Will’s suspected cheating, didn’t believe that Bravo should’ve allowed him to be there.

“If I got fired from work, I would not go to the work conference. I’m not going to go and show up and hang out and kiki and get all the free drinks. That’s not fair,” he told Decider.

And, fellow cast member Mia Alario also had a bone to pick with Will. In her eyes the situation all boils down to his questionable personality.

“You know what he likes? The attention. I’m just gonna say it. He liked going behind people and they’re like, ‘Oh, my god, it’s Will.’ He likes that.”

Will hasn’t addressed any of the backlash, probably because he’s busy in wedding planning mode with Emmy. However, if Mia’s assessment of his personality is right, maybe he’ll pop up in the Season 4 reunion just for a big reaction? Only time will tell.

Stephen Colbert Says Donald Trump’s Iran War Approach Is ‘Make It up as It Goes’

Stephen Colbert has made a decent living by skewering famous people in his Late Show monologues. One of his favorite targets since the last election is Donald Trump.

In a recent monologue, Stephen invoked Trump’s fondness for former U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill, one of his professed heroes. Taking advantage of Trump’s admiration for the World War II leader, Stephen contrasted the pair’s leadership styles.

The Late Show writers were in peak form as they took a slice from the U.S. President’s handling of the Iran war. They perfectly contrasted it, in a comedic way, with Churchill’s skill in bringing his country together in time of conflict.

President Trump is accused of enabling an “improv” war

The segment kicked off with a clip of Trump speaking to a Miami investors forum. He described watching classified footage of a bombing attack in somewhat simplistic terms.

“But what happened is – you have to see it. It’s very cool,” Trump enthused. “Missiles launched, missiles launched, missiles launching. They’re launching. Okay, we’re ready. Then at 7 seconds, uh, fire, fire, fire. This is the most unbelievable thing. Fire, poom, fire, poom!”

Looking straight into the camera, Stephen deadpanned his response: “Stirring, stirring wartime leadership.”

“It reminds me of Winston Churchill,” he added, keeping a straight face as his audience erupted into laughter.

Next, the Peabody winner invoked Churchill’s most iconic wartime speech in Trump’s vernacular. “We should fight them on the beaches, like, pew pew pew, ka-chow, blammo! So cool.”

Trump’s well-known admiration for Churchill made the bit more humorous. Trump even reinstalled a bust of the wartime leader in the Oval Office when he returned for his second term.

From Churchill, Stephen went on to criticize Trump’s inconsistent messaging on the “war,” which really isn’t a war since Congress never declared one.

“We have no sense of whether the war is ending anytime soon,” the 10-time Emmy winner said. He added that the conflict has taken on an “erratic and make-it-up-as-it goes feel.”

“Yes,” he decided. “This is officially America’s first improv war.”

Ryan Gosling shared a heartwarming message for the Artemis II crew via Project Hail Mary’s Instagram page. The caption read, “Sending the biggest congrats and best wishes to the Artemis II crew, from everyone on the Project Hail Mary team,” followed by a rocket emoji. Unsurprisingly, the post has garnered 19.3K likes, 2,218 shares, 1,117 retweets, and 127 comments.

The actor narrated, “I’m Ryan Gosling. I play a biologist who goes to space to save the planet in the film Project Hail Mary. But the Artemis II astronauts are going to space for real, and they will travel farther from Earth than any humans in history. Sending all our best wishes to the Artemis II crew.”

For those unversed, Artemis II marks the first time in over 50 years that astronauts have traveled beyond low Earth orbit. NASA launched the historic mission on Wednesday, with four astronauts embarking on the journey.

The crew comprises three American astronauts: Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, and one Canadian astronaut: Jeremy Hansen. The astronauts will embark on a 10-day mission and may travel farther from Earth than any humans ever have before (via Entertainment Weekly).

However, fans had interesting reactions to Gosling’s kind wishes. One fan quipped, “I saw someone’s comment on the video of the Artemis II liftoff saying ‘this Project Hail Mary marketing is going crazzyy! I about died,’” followed by many laughing emojis.

In a newly released A24 video, the co-stars stepped into the role of expert ‘relationship advisors’ who are working hard to solve an imaginary brother dilemma on the “Relationship Hotline.” And, let’s just say, it’s all about a rather wild ‘imaginary brother’ dilemma.

In a recent viral video clip, Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are seen promoting their upcoming movie, “The Drama,” while, of course, giving relationship advice regarding a rather unexpectedly wild situation. The popular movie’s cast is asked to weigh in on a spicy relationship scenario involving an imaginary brother, and yes, it’s just as absurd as it sounds. This interesting conversation legit showcased their different views towards dealing with a relationship. 

Apparently, a person mentioned the rather puzzling situation of ‘this girl’ whom he’s trying to marry and has been dating for about 5 years. He further added, “She’s been lying to me about her family. She’s been going to her brother’s house, who is like this guy named James, who is like 25. But I found out her brother’s name is not James. In fact, she doesn’t even have a brother!” Just as Zendaya heard this, she raised an eyebrow about him calling his partner, ‘this girl’. Then, they all agreed that this situation means that somebody is cheating. 

However, while Zendaya and Alana Haim mentioned that the answer to the situation would be communication, it seemed like Robert Pattinson disagreed. He mentioned that conversation would only help if the person is good at having a conversation. Otherwise, the sneaky person would end up gaslighting them, leaving them confused. And, he exclaimed, “If you want to already leave it, just leave it!” To this, Mamoudou Athie seemed to agree, saying, “You have turned me, man!” However, in the end, they all agreed that they should probably just break up.

According to Radar, Queen Elizabeth enabled Andrew’s alleged criminal activity. Sources say her youngest son’s London’s Met police officer detail had to stay quiet about his activities. Those who didn’t protect the Crown faced the palace’s wrath.

“It was well known in the police department that if you cared about your future, your career, you never questioned anything about Andrew,” a royal insider told Radar. Those who did were assigned to an undesirable beat or miserable desk job. “There were protection officers who had really cushy jobs and traveled on private jets with Andrew, and when they raised concerns, they were reassigned,” the source revealed.

Documents recently released by the U.S. Department of Justice revealed photos of Andrew in compromising positions as part of the Epstein files.

Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, revealed, “Andrew even brought in prostitutes to Buckingham Palace for years. It was done on a regular basis. People who worked there complained to people in command – but nothing was done.”

A24’s trailer for Kane Parsons’ upcoming sci-fi horror movie Backrooms has dropped, and fans are already on edge. With its eerie atmosphere and unsettling tone, the trailer teases that the film will deliver a thrilling experience.

After inking a deal with A24 at only 19, Parsons is making his feature directorial debut with Backrooms, adapting his own viral YouTube found-footage horror universe. The film is inspired by his 2022 anthological series, where a therapist searches for her mysteriously vanished patient in a dimension beyond reality.

Will Soodik penned the screenplay, drawing inspiration from the online urban legend that sparked Kane Parsons’ YouTube series. The cast of Backrooms boasts an impressive lineup, featuring Renate Reinsve, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, Lukita Maxwell, and Avan Jogia in key roles.

A24 and Chernin Entertainment are co-financing Backrooms. Producers include Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Dan Levine (21 Laps), James Wan, Michael Clear (Atomic Monster), Chris Ferguson (Oddfellows), and Roberto Patino. Executive producers are Judson Scott and Chris White, with Alayna Glasthal overseeing for Atomic Monster.

As for fan reactions, excited viewers praised the trailer’s eerie atmosphere, unsettling tone, and Parsons’ direction. Many touted it as the most anticipated horror movie of the year.

Andy Cohen Gives RHORI Cast Advice After Shocking Premiere

From a sugar baby that’s questioning her life choices to a possible swinger and a bottle of poor-people wine, with a side of a cat on a leash, last night’s series premiere of Real Housewives of Rhode Island did not disappoint. After, the cast appeared on Watch What Happens Live. Here, Andy Cohen gave them all a little bit of advice on how to handle the pressures of the Bravosphere. Whether or not they take it, however, is anyone’s guess.

The WWHL host said “social media is not reality”

The ladies of RHORI are all newbies. There’s a steep learning curve here, from how to present on camera to how to handle the fans once each episode drops. Likewise, this will be their first rodeo with watching back footage. And, as fans of this franchise know, confessionals are where the real tea and shade lie.

The cast appeared on WWHL after Episode 1 aired, Andy had some advice. “As this season plays out, you’re going to hear a lot in confessionals from the other women. Try to stay in the place you are right now with each other.”

Andy continued, “This is the thing that a lot of veteran Housewives still have a really hard time with. This is a really hard thing. Just try to stay in the moment we’re in, in April of 2026.” Then, Andy cheekily added, “Keep a list, and we’ll hash it out at the reunion.”

Furthermore, “Don’t believe the comments,” because “Social media is not reality,” Andy stressed. Overall, “It’s never as great or as bad as it feels like online.”

“Next, we love you for exactly who you are and how you are. Don’t change. We cast you all for a reason. Don’t change. Stay yourselves.”

Finally, “As a Real Housewife, you are part of a chosen few. Enjoy this ride,” Andy said. “There are only just under 200 Real Housewives that have ever existed. You’re all famous around the world. You have been chosen. Enjoy this.”

However, Andy joked, “Maybe don’t start a podcast.”

Following Episode 1, Real Housewives of Rhode Island will air at 9 PM/ET every Sunday on Bravo. Episodes can be streamed on Peacock.

Marilyn Granas grew up with Shirley and was her closest friend and movie stand-in. Shirley was only 3 years old when she entered show business.

According to Radar, all of Shirley’s birthday parties took place at the 20^th Century Fox studio commissary. Marilyn, who passed away last year at 98, sat next to her friend and the gift pile as everyone sang happy birthday. “But it was my understanding that Shirley never saw any of the presents,” Marilyn said. “They all went to charity.”

This was only one example of Shirley missing out on a normal childhood tradition. An aspiring ballerina as a child, Shirley’s mother, Gertrude, “did everything a stage mother would do,” wrote John in his book. “She had no problem walking up to the president of 20th Century Fox, who produced the little star’s films. She was her daughter’s acting coach, her hairdresser and her defender.”

Marilyn also watched out for Shirley, protecting her from others and making sure she was always front and center. She also carefully chose her friends, of which Marilyn was one of the few she approved of.

Shirley, who became one of the most well-known child stars with movies like Little Miss Marker and Bright Eyes, appreciated her mother’s dedication. “She did not push me into anything. I loved what I did,” she said.

Marilyn recalled Gertrude was happy to have a daughter after two boys. “Mrs. Temple told my mother that she started training her when she was still in her crib,” Marilyn said. “Her mother would say, ‘Sparkle, Shirley,’ and she would sparkle.”

Shirley married twice, had three children and had a second career as a diplomat. She died at age 84 in 2014.

Kyle Cooke certainly has an opinion about his ex, Amanda Batula’s new relationship with fellow Summer House cast member West Wilson. Kyle thinks West is manipulating Amanda because he is known for “playing women.” That seems a bit like the pot calling the kettle black.

Amanda and West confirmed their connection this week in a joint statement on their social media. Naturally, everyone had an opinion on Scamanda being the new Scandoval, and the internet exploded.

The Summer House cast and former cast have expressed their disbelief and disappointment in various ways. According to PEOPLE, Kyle said that West is “capable of manipulating any female, my wife included, because we’re not divorced yet.”

He and Amanda announced their split in January, but the divorce isn’t official yet. As for West, Kyle explained that “West is smart enough to know who the audience is, and he knows what to say to women to win them over.” 

He added that West has been “playing women” his entire adult life. “I have a real issue with a dude who manages to use his charm, says the right thing at the right time,” Kyle explained. “West kinda positioned himself, very conveniently, to be this knight in shining armor for women, standing up for Amanda, checking me. I was like, ‘something’s up.’”

Kyle confirmed that West “basically threw his friendship away with me in one clean swoop. What happened to bro code?”

The Loverboy founder said he was still processing how to even talk to West. “I think a lot of people don’t understand how close we were,” Kyle admitted. “There’s some wild betrayal there.”

Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
