Vanderpump Rules cast member Brittany Cartwright’s mom Sherri Cartwright was in the Intensive Care Unit following bladder surgery complications.
After asking for prayers on social media, Brittany finally has heard something good: her mother’s health has turned a corner. It’s nice to share some good news for a change.
Page Six reported that Sherri is out of the ICU. Brittany and Jax Taylor’s fired wedding pastor (who made those homophobic comments) Ryan Dotson commented on Instagram, ” Sheri [sic] is out of ICU and in a room and improving daily.”
A source told the outlet that Brittany has been by her mom’s side and “her husband, Jax Taylor, has been an amazing support system for her.” However, it is unclear if he is in Kentucky right now (which is where Sherri presumably has been hospitalized).
In an Instagram Story, Brittany shared, “she has a long road ahead but she is so so strong and amazing!!”
Jax tweeted, “Thank you for all the kind ‘get well wishes’ regarding my mother-in-law, Sherri. Please keep her in your prayers and send her a message, she loves reading them.
Previously, Kristen Doute broke her social media silence post-firing when she tweeted, “Please, everyone, keep @BNCartwright momma @SherriCartwrig3 in your prayers, thoughts, spiritual/higher power thoughts… whatever it is you believe in. Thank you.”
We are sending well wish and positive thoughts in Sherri’s direction. It’s great to know that she’s out of the ICU and we hope that she feels better in the near future.

Considering that Lance Bass officiated Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s wedding, it would be logical to assume that he is close with the couple. However, Lance claimed that he ended his business relationship with Jax (they have a line of drink mixers) and he predicted that Jax will be the next one to get fired from Vanderpump Rules.
Jax spoke out and claimed that wasn’t the case and that he’s still a part of the business and that he’s “shocked” and “confused” about Lance cutting ties with him publicly. In addition to calling out Jax for his problematic statements and behavior, Lance is also unhappy with Andy Cohen for seemingly overlooking the behavior of various Bravo cast members throughout the years.
TooFab reported that Lance said, “There’s a lot of ignorance around reality television people, but in this case I understand what Bravo is doing, they’re draining the swamp. You made the bed now you gotta lay in it. You’re gonna have to fall on the sword, learn from it and make the world know that you learned from it and not make excuses, Mr. Andy Cohen.”
Lance said, “Andy kind of excuses himself from the situation. Andy, you’re the face of Bravo, dude, you can make a lot of things happen.” Very true. Even though Andy has distanced himself from Vanderpump Rules, pointing out that he merely hosts the reunions and has no part in producing the shows, he does have a big voice at the network. He’s heard the Watch What Happens Live viewers who have called in with questions calling out his guests for racist and homophobic remarks. Yet, they continued to be employed by the network.
Lance said, “And if you can’t make it happen, at least make it known in public that, ‘Look guys, I talked to Bravo and I don’t agree with them. I can’t do change. But just letting you know, I hear ya.’ Again, you gotta fall on the sword and admit that you’re wrong.”
He declared that Andy has “the most power at Bravo ever, even more than executives.” He also made it clear that he doesn’t think Andy himself is racist.
Lance remarked, “I love me some Andylicious, but you know, in this case, it was just not a good retort for all this going down. I mean, he’s obviously not homophobic, and he’s for Black Lives Matter. I mean, he’s doing the right things and he’s really vocal about social injustice, which is awesome. But then, you know, this one thing— which, we can’t just judge him on one thing — it just wasn’t handled right. It just sounds like you’re making excuses for yourself.”

Real Housewives of Potomac season 4 was fire. The show has been getting better and better every year. We were all so excited for the ladies to return for the season 5 premiere in May. However, unfortunately, the premiere was very vaguely pushed back until “summer 2020.”
Because of the pandemic, there are very few shows that are filmed and ready to go. Additionally, it just takes longer for the editors to put the editors together from home in comparison to when they are in their normal offices. Plus, other Bravo shows had to put filming on hold, meaning that at some point, they’re bound to be out of new episodes. Yes, it made total sense to push back the premiere, but the news was still a major bummer to the Real Housewives of Potomac fans.
Thankfully, there is finally an official premiere date on the calendar. Real Housewives of Potomac will be back for season 5 on Sunday, August 2 at 9 PM. We will get to meet the new Housewife, Wendy Osefo.
Ashley Darby has even more marital drama with Michael Darby, an honorary full-time cast member at this point. This time, the rumor is that he cheated on Ashley with a woman.
Karen Huger and her husband Ray Huger are having some issues in their marriage as well.
Gizelle Bryant is back with her ex-husband (who cheated on her), Pastor Jamal Bryant.
Finally, after four seasons of dragging out this whole “getting back together” thing, Robyn Dixon and her ex-husband Juan Dixon get engaged this season.
Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels‘ tension gets physical, resulting in some legal drama as well.

There is absolutely nothing remotely acceptable about the way that Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute treated Faith Stowers in 2018. They accused her of committing crimes she had nothing to do with based on security camera footage of another black woman who was not Faith. They called the police and the military police (Faith is a veteran) and then they bragged about this in a podcast and on social media.
At the time, there was very little outrage in response. Now, in the midst of the Black Lives Matter movement, Faith got a lot of support when she told that story (which she should have had back then when she shared the same information). Shockingly, Bravo took action this time, firing Stassi and Kristen along with Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens, who both had racially offensive tweets resurface in January 2020. When Faith told her story again, she was finally heard. She finally had support. Then she started doing more interviews, talking about how she’d love to “return” to the show, where she was never a full-time cast member. She went from claiming Lisa Vanderpump doesn’t care about George Floyd’s death because George Floyd isn’t a dog to praising Lisa for accepting Bravo’s decision to fire four cast members.
And that’s when opinions on this started to divide. While there’s no doubt that that Faith was mistreated, some people wonder if Faith had an agenda with her recent comments. Obviously, this is such a sensitive situation for many reasons, but adding to the scandal is a leaked private message conversation between Faith and an unknown person from before the firings, where Faith seemingly reveled in the idea of Lisa Vanderpump “kissing her ass” to “come back to the show.” Of course, it’s always possible this could have been fabricated, but if it wasn’t the messages do paint a very different take on the situation.
To be fair, it’s not completely clear if the leaked screenshots are genuine. Bravo Snark Side shared screenshotsx from a conversation where someone wrote to Faith, “Girl, I am so excited You could get all of them fired. This is the time blacks unite and take the whites down. The entire show is made up of it.”
In response, Faith wrote, “Right? I don’t know what to say about Brittany [Cartwright] especially since she da∂ted a black dude previously. I’ll think of something.”
The person messaging Faith wrote, “Lol! Yasss Queen. I don’t think many people know she dated a brother. Once you bring down Stassi and the other girl, you’ll be begged back. Play the victim really well though.
Faith replied, “Totally can do that. It’s my time to be back on the show. Fuck them. Start from the top!” The Twitter user responded, “Girl Remember that podcast that Stassi did [about] you and calling the [police]?
Faith said, “Of course. Where she bragged about her and Doute doing that shit?” And the person told Faith, “Yeah, you totally should say something. Right now with everything going on against us, they will get slaughtered! Lol!”
Faith asked, “You think?” Then she said, “I know someone who can get the word dout. Wonder if LVP will kiss my ass to come back on the show.” Again, Faith was never actually a cast member. Instead, she was just used for a storyline without ever getting confessional interviews.
This person told Faith, “Do it! Girl you can go after Bravo, LVP, Stassi, Brittany, Jax [Taylor], James [Kennedy] and that Lala [Kent] bitch. You got to do it. Yo ucould make the news girl.”
Faith responded, “Let me get busy!”
Stassi and Kristen absolutely deserve to be reprimanded for their behavior and subsequent remarks, but if this conversation is real, it’s a very interesting addition to the story. That’s for sure.

It was been so frustrating to watch Dorinda Medley mistreat Tinsley Mortimer on Real Housewives of New York. When it comes down to it, Dorinda actually had a valid point. Tinsley just didn’t share a lot about her life when she was literally paid to do so. However, Dorinda went way too far with her digs and we all forgot that Dorinda made a little bit of sense, at first.
Now, Tinsley is done with the show, living her best life in a Chicago highrise with Scott Kluth. It will be interesting to see how the ladies fare in the second half of the season when the show returns in July.
Luann de Lesseps dished on the Tinsley drama from this season during an appearance on the Reality of Reality podcast. For the most part, Lu is the only one who has never had any drama with Tinsley and she was arguably the nicest to her this season (aside from Leah McSweeney, of course).
She explained, “I just think that understanding Tinsley is the issue and I think there [are] communication issues. And I think she’s living a little bit of a double life that we don’t really know about and Dorinda calls her out on it, too harshly and too aggressively because it’s like if I were Tinsley, I’d be like ‘Mind your own business. If I want to see Scott, I’ll see Scott. So stay out of it.’ You know? I just don’t feel like she stands up for herself and I think that’s the issue.”
She’s probably right. If Tinsley (effectively) stood up for herself, Dorinda might have stopped dragging her to the extent that she has. But, then again, to be honest, Dorinda needs to accept responsibility for her ridiculous behavior this season.
Luann continued, “So, the women don’t respect her for [not standing up for herself]. It’s like, just tell us. You don’t have to hide. Just tell us what’s going on. You don’t have to tell us every detail, but you know, if we’re girlfriends, we’re not harboring secrets, you know?”
Still, Lu does understand where Tinsley was coming from with all the secrecy, admitting, “I don’t blame her for hiding it.”
Luann elaborated, “Of course, the girls are gonna judge her, first of all. And, second of all, I don’t think Tinsley’s very secure. She’s very insecure and she doesn’t know what’s gonna happen. So, I think what the problem is she doesn’t want to say anything because she’s vulnerable and afraid that it might not last. So, I get that.”
Luann did support Tinsley’s decision to leave the Big Apple. She remarked, “She took the opportunity to be with the man that she lives and who in their right mind wouldn’t want to do that? Who in their right mind would not live for the love of their life?”
Luann preached, “You gotta go all in or not. I think her decision to be with Scott was one that she took quickly because that’s all she’s been waiting for.” She added, “I hope it works out.”
When she was asked to share her thoughts on Tinsley’s relationship, Luann said, “I would love to be able to judge. I don’t know him that well, so I can’t really say. I hope it works out for her. I don’t know enough about her relationship to say, but I’m hopeful for her.”
At the end of the day, Luann said, “I’m happy for her. She’s so sweet.”

A few documentaries and reality series I found to be illuminating, insightful, and informative about race in America—and that are free to watch for everyone right now.
Technically speaking, Emily Simpson joined Real Housewives of Orange County as a “friend” of Tamra Judge. However, they’ve been anything but friends, well, from what we have seen, anyway. These two just don’t get along, but not in a particularly entertaining sort of way.
Now that Tamra is done with the Real Housewife life (for now, anyway). She’s spending her days doing Zoom interview after Zoom interview, sharing some new info and doing what she does best: talking shit.
During her recent appearance on Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef, Tamra was asked, “Who do you think is the biggest dead weight on the cast currently?” In response, she said, “I think Emily is. She’s dead weight on the cast, you know?” She (sort of) explained, “First year, you get a break. Second year, I don’t know.”
When she was asked if she felt the same way about Gina Kirschenheiter, her soldier from last season, Tamra said, “I think Gina speaks her mind. That’s the thing. She’ll be honest and speak her mind and she’s not gonna play these little games. She’s not afraid of anybody.’
And in contrast, Tamra said, “Emily was always really nice to our face, and then she’d get in her confessionals and say things.” Isn’t that what every Housewife does? However, Tamra declared, “A good Housewife says it to your face, not just behind a camera.” That sounds like Tamra’s MO in all honesty, but OK.
Tamra said, “I just don’t think there’s a whole lot of interesting stuff going on there. That doesn’t mean she’s a bad person at all. I just feel like you know some people are made to be on TV and some people are not.”
Tamra added, “Sometimes saying ‘she’s not good for reality’ might mean she’s a little too normal.” That’s true about a lot of former Housewives, but Emily is still apart of the cast.
At another point in the discussion, Tamra didn’t name names, but she was seemingly talking about Emily when she remarked, “There are some people who are like ‘I don’t really want to show my bad marriage.’ Then, you really shouldn’t be on a reality show.”
When it comes down to it, Tamra declared, “Emily just doesn’t belong on the show. [She] just doesn’t fit in.”

Who needs the Real Housewives drama when you can get just as much attention (if not more) by doing interviews constantly? Or at least that’s what I imagine Tamra Judge is thinking lately. And these days, with the pandemic and all, Tamra is getting a lot more shine than the women who are still filming; or have just been waiting to film again.
She’s been spilling a lot of tea and talking a lot of shit since she got fired “decided to leave” Real Housewives of Orange County back in January.
During a recent appearance on the podcast Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef, Tamra said she thought about quitting “the last three years,” which couldn’t have been too serious of a thought since we all know Cut Fitness isn’t paying the bills alone. She admitted, “It’s kind of like a drug. They pay you a lot of money.”
Then, Tamra reflected on her early days in the OC. She joined the show during season 3 and with time she started to make some good money. However, that wasn’t always the case. Podcast host David Yontef remarked, “The first year you start, it’s pretty much costing you money,” referring to the upkeep of hair, makeup, clothes, etc.
That’s when Tamra told him, “I was paid $7,000 my first year.” For reference, Real Housewives of Orange County season three aired in 2007 and 2008. Tamra continued, “That’s what I got paid. I probably spent more than that just on clothes and stuff. The show was so different back then.”
Tamra shared, “I probably made $50,000 by the next year. You really have to put your time in to make money.” She added, “It’s kind of like any job, but nowadays, the girls start out with a bigger chunk [of money].” She also revealed that the new girls get around $60,000 for their first season on the show. That’s quite the upgrade from back in the day. She also said she recently made $60K per episode, a major bump from that $7K for her entire first season.
