According to Eileen Davidson, the situation regarding who said what about Kim Richards‘ sobriety can be summed up as “It’s Complicated.” The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star defends long-time friend, Lisa Rinna, in her blog this week, claiming her comments to Eden Sassoon were taken out of context.
After arriving in Mexico at Mauricio and Kyle Richards’ vay-cay pad, Eileen abruptly got the sh*ts. But that didn’t stop her from playing fierce ally to Rinna, who was called out for her lies comments that were caught on camera. Eileen reflects, “Pardon the understatement of the year, but this is a very complicated situation! Watching the show the last couple weeks, Lisa Rinna’s comments about Kim Richards to Eden have been played many times. So much has been said about it. But, here’s the context I think we’re missing.”

“Believe me, the last thing I ever wanted to do was talk about Kim Richards. But she made that impossible when she inserted herself into a situation she knew nothing about at Game Night,” continues Eileen. “Kim would never have been a topic of conversation if she hadn’t aggressively gone after Lisa R. and me and how she viewed our friendship. This is an issue that goes back to comments Kim made in Amsterdam. It has never been resolved, and Lisa R. reacted emotionally because of it.”
Complimenting Eden for her ability to diffuse the tension between Kim and Rinna on Game night, Eileen explains, “The very next day, emotions still fresh, Lisa R. confided in Eden, asking her how she might finally find peace with Kim. That is the only reason she had that conversation. Lisa R.’s comments about Kim were inaccurate and extreme. That’s not up for debate. But her intent wasn’t malicious, no matter how it may look, or no matter how it’s being portrayed now.”

As for Rinna conveniently forgetting what she said to Eden, Eileen lamely implies that it totally makes sense. This, from the woman who remembers every slight, every sigh, every off-handed shoulder shrug that’s ever happened in her presence. (Because all of those minor infractions demand APOLOGIES, dammit!)
“In Mexico, when confronted, I know Lisa R.’s reaction was genuine. She was very upset. That, and her subsequent talks with and Harry, really showed that she absolutely did not believe she’d said those things. I think she didn’t remember because they weren’t said with any venom or gossip. Of course by the time it got back through the ‘game of telephone,’ as I’ve said before and Erika [Girardi] pointed out, it was twisted into something ugly. I’ve known Lisa R. well for many years. We all know she’s off the cuff and sometimes says things without thinking. That’s why we love her. She’s not a malicious person. And I stand by that assessment even now.”
Backtracking a bit in her blog, Eileen does admit that Rinna’s words were damaging – whether she remembers them or not. But she argues that Eden’s interference is worse. “This is not to take away from how upsetting this must be for Kim and Kyle Richards. I agree with Kyle that this kind of talk can set a fragile person back. I also think what Lisa R. said is nothing as damaging as Eden going around saying horrible things about Kim and Kyle both, and comparing Kim and Kyle, to their faces and behind their backs, to her and her sister who passed away from alcohol. In these situations, I think the intent is key. What was Eden’s intent saying, ‘You don’t want my help down the stairs? Fine, I will let you crawl!’ about Kim? Whatever it was, it was not coming from a place of wisdom or concern.”

Eileen closes by commenting on the hideously embarrassing dance that Rinna decided to perform, table top, to Erika’s song. She jokes, “On the boat, I think Lisa R. took a page from my book of, ‘I’m just gonna keep dancing.’ And then took it to an entirely different level! Sometimes the best way out of a tricky situation is just to dance your ass off.”
Alright, Eileen. But, how about instead of going spread-eagle on a table, Rinna handle her little clusterf–k of a situation with – oh I don’t know – some good old fashioned honesty? Something along the lines of, “Yeah, I said it. It was wrong. And I’m sorry,” might just do the trick. Nah. That would require sanity! And maturity! Two qualities that seem woefully in short supply right now.
TELL US: WERE LISA RINNA’S COMMENTS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT? WILL EILEEN REMAIN LOYAL TO RINNA NO MATTER WHAT THE TRUTH IS?

In my opinion, the ladies on Real Housewives of New York were way too hard on Sonja Morgan last season. From criticizing her (attempted) business ventures to her partying habits, everyone was coming for her. So, Sonja shut them all up and decided to stop drinking.
No one is perfect, but Sonja was unfairly treated as a human punching bag last season. So it will be interesting to see how people interact with her next season since she has been sober for so long and is surprisingly successful with her clothing line. On a recent podcast, Sonja opened up about what it is like being on the show, having regrets, and the other women’s drinking.

Sonja discussed how she feels the cast members are constantly coming for her in an interview with Page Six. Sonja complained, “I can never get over it these women, they just keep coming at me with new drama.” Well, yeah. Sorry, Sonja, but that’s how these Real Housewives shows work. Without the drama and the pot stirring, this franchise would not exist.

I hate to say this, but at the very least, the show is a steady source of income for Sonja, who has had some financial difficulties (to put it mildly). Still, Sonja admitted, “I do have regrets about doing the show sometimes I say to myself ‘Do I really want to do another season,’ but if Bravo wants to continue to work with me then that is fine. It has given me independence and an additional way to take care of my daughter.”
I honestly half believe that. As horrible as these women can be to her, I doubt that Sonja would ever leave this consistent paycheck and megawatt exposure.
Still, Sonja has made some major improvements and has decided to become sober thanks to the criticism from the ladies. Sonja recapped, “I stopped drinking because last season they said that I had a drinking problem.” Which I find very interesting since the rest of the cast parties HARD. Pot, meet kettle.
The drinking (and whatever else) seems to be at a high when the cast goes on vacations together, so I can’t imagine that it’s easy for Sonja to remain sober in that situation.
Sonja explained, “The downside of the show is when we do a trip and the ladies drink too much. Those situations can be pressure cookers. When I see those liquor bottles come out I start to do a mental countdown.” Poor Sonja. The paycheck and the fame seem to be worth dealing with these women, but maybe I’m wrong?

Sonja called out her RHONY co-stars, “I would like to see them quit and do the show sober – let’s see how they like it.” Exactly. They are always drinking, yet somehow Sonja is the “only one” with a problem. SMH.

Lisa Rinna has found herself in some hot water with Kyle and Kim Richards after last night’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The things Lisa shared with Eden Sassoon have made their way back to Kyle and now Lisa is scrambling to explain herself. She took to her Bravo blog to share her side of things.
Lisa shares that her desire was to get things out in the open with Kyle as soon as she could after being told what was up. “When Erika gave me the heads up that I needed to talk to Kyle because Eden had said something that was now circulating around our group I knew I needed to speak with Kyle at that moment. Kyle has been a good friend of mine for many years, and it was important to clear the air. If I had something to hide, I would not have been the one to initiate the conversation. I’m grateful to Erika for giving me the heads up and not repeating to me what happened the night before. She refuses to play this game of telephone, and I so respect that about her.”

Lisa blogs, “There are a couple of points I want to remind you of. First is the fact that I had no idea that any of this had gone on and that these girls were lying in wait for me. This is now two months after Game Night, and since then I have had a handful of conversations with Eden regarding her issues with Kyle and Kim. With the exception of the conversation we had while shopping, they have all consisted of me warning Eden that she needs to let the issue go. At the end of our conversation in the store, I told her that third time’s a charm, and I am done. Moving on. Which is precisely what I did from that moment forward. I compartmentalized the conversation and put it to bed.”
Lisa continues, “The second point is my exact words to Eden in that conversation were ‘They’re this close to Kim dying.’ Meaning, I was referencing what Kyle shared with all of us in the Hamptons about Kyle’s fear of losing her sister. In no way was I saying Kim was on a path to destruction, nor was I implying that Kim was on the brink of death. But unfortunately, this is how my message was relayed to Eden’s attentive audience shortly before we all left for Mexico.”

Rinna is embarrassed that she didn’t remember saying these words to Eden as she now sees it play back on the episodes. “Clearly, I need to add more Ginko Biloba to my pill bag, because I could benefit from it’s memory-helping benefits. It’s embarrassing and frustrating to watch all of this play back, because I truly did not remember the conversation I was accused of having. Instead, the intention of what I said regarding Kim was all twisted after going through so many people, and I simply wasn’t going to own up to something that I couldn’t remember.”
Lisa regrets what she said to Eden and is now wanting to own it moving forward. “The bottom line is this, I wish I had never said what I did to Eden, regardless of my intent, because it’s obvious that we have two very different realities of the situation. For that, I hold myself responsible and like we see Erika say about me in her interview, ‘I betcha she’ll get around to owning it.’ And I betcha Erika is right.”

The best reality shows are the ones that involve already existing friend groups – instead of just a mix of people thrown together by a casting director. That said, some of the saddest reality show story lines involve the demise of these real life friendships.
Case in point, everyone who has been watching Summer House has seen the slow (and agonizing) end of Cristina Gibson and Lindsay Hubbard’s friendship. Things have become ugly for the two of them and it’s clear that they did not make up since the show wrapped up filming at the end of the summer.

Cristina appeared on Kate Casey’s Reality Life Podcast to unleash the inside scoop on all things Summer House. And if you’ve been watching you know that a lot of that involved shit talking Lindsay, which does not really bother me. Unfortunately, Lindsay is getting what reality TV people deem to be a “bad edit.” Obviously she really did say and do everything that we view on the show, but we rarely get to see anything good there, so I’m not shocked that Cristina was asked to elaborate on that failed friendship.
I also thought that whatever went on between Carl Radke and Lauren Wirkus was done as well, but then I was thrown off when Carl was super nervous to meet the Wirkus Twins’ parents. Thankfully, Cristina dished on that interaction as well.
Cristina explained why she’s so done with Lindsay, “That just gets exhausting to be in a one-side friendship all the time and to have somebody who just kind of walks all over you.”

I don’t blame her for that one. Plus it really seems like Lindsay is not at all fun. Yeah, I know that there is editing and I get that it obviously plays into the story line to show more of Lindsay’s negative attributes, but still. And in all honesty, her drama is not entertaining. I’d rather see everyone partying and taking part in regrettable hookups than seeing her get mad at her boyfriend for reasons that are unclear.
Cristina went on to reference that scene from the first episode when she and Lindsay were shopping. Cristina recalled, “I told her that I felt like she was selfish, she never asks me anything about my life, and she just completely dismissed me and said I’m jealous.” It seems like it’s just Lindsay’s world and everyone else is just living in it. I think Cristina meddles a lot (which she has admitted and apologized for), but I really don’t think that she’s actually jealous of Lindsay in any way shape or form. Why would she be? What is the point of being jealous of anyone, really?
One thing that was pretty funny and a little off topic (but relevant) was when Kate asked Cristina, “Why do these men drink rosé?” Cristina said, “I think rosé is just a good summer drink. It’s light. It’s refreshing. It’s bro-sé. Guys can drink rose too. It’s 2017.”
If I’m being honest, I didn’t expect Carl and Lauren to hook up again. He seemed all about the “away game” action and he seemed to regret having an inter-house hookup…minus him blatantly trying to get with Jaclyn Shuman during the past two episodes. But basically, he didn’t seem down for a repeat hookup, especially within the house.
I also thought things were dunzo between the two of them when Lauren went into Carl’s room drunk and topless (with her perfectly perky G size breasts) and he refused to hook up with her. Damn. That’s cold. I couldn’t help being vicariously embarrassed for Lauren and wanted to hug her (with her top on though, obv).
Kate asked Cristina if Carl is still single and Cristina did not share any new information. All she said was, “That is a good question. I honestly do not know the answer to that.” When she was asked about Lauren’s romantic status, Cristina said, “I’m not sure about that either to be honest.”
Still, Cristina gave me hope for some loving within the house – aside from Lindsay and Everett Weston’s drunk arguments relationship. “I will say that this is not the last you’ll see of Lauren and Carl’s summer romance. So there’s more of that coming.”
I’m curious to see how that ends up. It seems like Lauren is super into Carl and that Carl is a major player just like Ashley Wirkus predicted. But maybe, Cristina saying she does not know about either of their statuses might just be her way of avoiding the question. Is it possible that Carl and Lauren actually found a relationship in the Montauk summer house? It’s doubtful, but it could be true.

Apparently Cristina is on pretty good terms with everyone from the cast- except for Lindsay, obviously. And I guess by default Everett. Cristina declared, “I have no problem never speaking to Lindsay again and we really don’t unless it’s on Twitter.” Yeah, we’ve ALL seen that. Lindsay is a huge fan of the Twitter beef and Cristina plays right into her hand unfortunately, but I don’t blame her for defending herself.
In regard to the Twitter fighting, Cristina said, “She only stopped when everybody on Twitter was like ‘Stop. You’re making yourself look bad.'” It wasn’t a good look for either of them in all honesty, but I totally get the inclination to defend yourself.
Cristina also made a pretty valid point when it comes to Lindsay’s Summer House antics and came for her job. Cristina explained, “I think it’s a little crazy that she’s a publicist and acted the way she did this summer on TV. If you can’t present yourself in a good manner, then I don’t know why a brand would think that you could represent them well.” DAMN. I’m sure that comment is not going to sit well with Lindsay.

Big Little Lies is bringing movie stars to TV with the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz all appearing in the HBO limited series, but this...Oh Lisa Rinna. Those lips, those lips are juicy. Last night, the ladies of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills were supposed to be relaxing in Mexico, but we all know that’s not what happened. Echoing a theme of being over the shit, Eileen Davidson preferred Montezuma’s Revenge Diarrhea to more diarrhea of drama over who said what 3,000 years ago when Montezuma ruled.
So Lipsa arrives in Mexico to a chilly greeting. Kyle Richards is reeling after learning that Lipsa blabbed what the whole world was already thinking about Kim Richards‘ state of sobriety: Kim is “mostly sober,” Kyle is an enabler, and Kim is/was “near death.” Unfortunately Lipsa chose to make these observations to Eden Sassoon, who she mistakenly believed she could trust.

But not only is Eden madly, passionately obsessed with the Twisted Sisters Richards, she’s also social climbing Lisa Vanderpump like a tree. Someone did her research and realized that she needed to cozy up to the queen to scale the RHOBH stilettos. And Lisazuma’s Revenge comes like full-force tidal wave.
The ladies get all gussied up in their finery for The Agency party. And OMG – the invitation came with reusable grocery bags and trucker hats! And OMG, OMG – Kyle wore a dress to match them. Complete with side-boob rolls over the side of the bodice. KYLE, YOU ARE RICH. GET A TAILOR. NOW.
At the party, Kyle and Erika Jayne act like they invented the margarita (uh, no, that was Bethenny Frankel – eye roll) and go around saying it constantly like they get a Birkin for every time the words come out of their mouths. Kyle explains that she can handle her tequila because she’s married to a Mexican.
Everything was going okay until Lipsa got cornered. Literally. Eileen shares that she recently got IV drips with Eden, and guess what they talked about?! Kim and Kyle! After promising LVP that she was done discussing the Richards, Eden ran to Eileen to complain about how they don’t want her help. That’s when Erika pipes up that Lipsa needs to have a little chat with Kyle about what is coming out of Eden’s mouth. And it ain’t smoothie.
Lipsa, unable to stand the suspense, rushes right over to Kyle. Observing this scene from a distance, like a hunter stalking its prey, LVP and Dorit Kemsley sidle over from across the party. Kyle is a bit miffed. Or so she says. Apparently, she just wasn’t ready to have this discussion with Lipsa and wanted to have a fun party, working her slit with an Angelina Jolie pose, talking about tequila, and playing queen for the day. Now she has to have drama. Sigh. Poor Kyle!
The funny thing is that Lipsa claims to have NO recollection of saying these things to Eden and is downright shocked at what she’s being accused of. Furthermore, she insists she’s been “really careful” about her words. Except for, as LVP reminded, the time Lipsa made the low-blow comment about Kim‘s arrests. Now in some ways, I believe Lipsa did forget the particulars of her conversation with Eden, but I know she recognized that she said SOMETHING to Eden. And I know she recalled the particular conversation in question, she was just trying to inch around it on particular semantics.
Still, Lipsa remains emphatic that she has no idea if she said it, though maybe if she did, like perhaps, or possibly, and if so she didn’t mean it in a mean way. And it’s Eden’s fault for obsessively talking about Kim and Kyle. Now here’s the other thing – I’m annoyed with Kyle’s righteous anger act. She knows full-well that Kim has done and said a million horrible things, and she shouldn’t continue to defend this. THAT. Is. Enabling. Instead, Kyle needs to accept that Kim’s battles are not Kyle’s. Easier said than done, of course, and as LVP pointed out, if Lipsa is Kyle’s friend, she should respect her enough to be loyal. Which means NOT spreading her business around to some woman she met at a Pilates studio three minutes ago! What the hell is Eden putting in these smoothies?! Confessional juice? Is the CIA on this?

Naturally, LVP doesn’t believe Lipsa’s memory lapse for one second. In the confessional, she imitates Lipsa’s squeaky voice imploring her to “Own it!” You know – take her own advice. Lipsa vows just that IF she said it, she will OWN IT, but until then she’s not f–king taking it and she’s not letting Eden put this all on her. Furthermore, she is planing to have a very stern conversation with this Eden “Obsession” Sassoon, smoothie-er of betrayal.
The most amazing thing about this scene was not Lipsa’s baffling memory lapse, but that the entire conversation took place with her literally physically backed into a corner, pressed up against the wall.
After the confrontation, Lipsa runs outside and bursts into tears. Dorit and Eileen quickly followed her. Lipsa sobbed that she just can’t handle this again and her life is too good to be stuck in the muck – again! – over Kim so she just wants to go home. She blames her emotions on being upset that no one clued her in to what Eden was doing and saying – least of all Eden.
The thing is, Lipsa, you have to think before you speak. Eileen, who is feeling like puking, decides it’s high time to leave this party, and that the wailing Lipsa should come too. Erika is concerned about leaving these two to their own devices and invites herself to play chaperone.
Lipsa sobs through an apology and a goodbye from Kyle, who is now wondering what tequila full of worms she’s uncorked. But with all the potential messes away, Kyle and LVP take to the dance floor to waltz through the many ways Lipsa has stuck her two left feet in her very big mouth. It has to be said they both did seem a little joyful. Deservedly after last season’s witch hunt.
Back at the casita, Erika presses Lipsa to remember what was said. Lipsa insists she can’t remember, and until she does, she’s not copping to anything. The real monkey wrench in all of this is Eden and her motives.
So Eden is accusing Lipsa of planting these dire seeds in her mind, then hanging her out to dry when she confronted Kyle and Kim. Except, Lipsa also has a point: Eden never confronted her about how she was feeling or tried to clarify things. Then when Lipsa warned her to back-off and said she no longer wanted to talk about Kim and Kyle, Eden took it upon herself to bring it up, and up, and up… it’s like the Jack In The Box of conversations. Which pretty much mirrors Kim’s own sobriety: up and down, up and down, up and down the Target aisles she goes. Now it is Eden who is calling Kim a “bitch” to Dorit and complaining about her Eileen, then turning around and blaming Lipsa to LVP. This Eden – all poisoned apples and no serenity.
In the tram back to the casita, Kyle, LVP, and Dorit are in good spirits despite the sobbing mess at the party. LVP jokes that it’s the perfect time for wife swap – just as soon as she manages to pry her ginormous knickers off, so by next week? I didn’t like Dorit and PK initially, but now they’ve grown on me. I think PK is kinda charming in his own weird way and I like how he, Dorit, “Kenny,” and LVP joke around. Anyway, he volunteers Dorit to deal with monster knickers and Kyle suggests they make pillow shams from them. Do you think these knickers are bedazzled, monogrammed, and have prodigious ruffles? Rhetorical question – of course they do!
Back in LA, Eden and her mom have calcium smoothies to discuss why she’s so involved in The Twisted Sisters Richards. Eden whines that she wasn’t trying to make trouble but these women don’t understand that she sees a mirror image of “Kat and Eden” in “Kim and Kyle.” Even Eden’s mom is like, honey, just stop – stop hugging me, stop smothering everyone in smoothie, and stop pretending you are a qualified psychologist.
The next morning, in Mexico, LVP is ready to blow this Popsicle stand and head to DC to petition congress over the Yulin Dog March. Kyle doesn’t want her security crown to leave, though. Who will stroke her kaftans and reassure her that it will be fine because Mama Lisa is all-knowing, all-seeing, and all-hearing? However – priorities. A boat ride with Lipsa and Kyle or saving the lives of innocent animals? So off to congress LVP will go!

The rest of the ladies, including Lipsa and Eileen, are off for a day of boating. Shockingly, no life vests were required, although Dorit will leap to her death for a Birkin. Hey they float!
While most of the group sticks together for margaritas and snacks, Lipsa and Eileen sneak off to discuss Lipsa’s big mouth and the perceived joy LVP had at the possibility of Lipsa going down. Lisazuma’s Revenge, y’all! PK finds it odd that they’re hiding from the group – which I find odd? Does he want one of their 16 nannies to babysit Lipsa and Eileen to make sure they stay with the group and don’t talk out of turn?
Erika, Dorit, and PK go find them, and Lipsa reassures Erika that she’s fine despite last night’s sobbing meltdown. In fact, she’s so fine that she acts out a raunchy rendition of Painkillr on a table, spreading her legs wide for PK’s viewing pleasure. That is the biggest indication that she is NOT fine. Also, how long did she practice this Drag Race routine in the mirror?
Kyle jokes that Lipsa is all forgiven after her Painkillr dance. And especially after she leaps off the side of the boat into the water. PK even promises Dorit a Birkin if she risks her life by jumping in, too. Obviously, she has to do what she has to do. Birkin’s do carry a lot of baggage.

Apartment drama continues for the ladies of Real Housewives Of New York, past and present. Bethenny Frankel is on the move – yet again – while Jules Wainstein continues to fight her ex Michael for money and property.
Of all the things RHONY has taught me it’s that one should never invest in property with a significant other. After separating from Jason Hoppy, Bethenny moved into a Skinny Girl decorated pad in SoHo, but barely two years later, she’s listing it for $5.25.

Bethenny’s experiencing something of a real estate boon! Last year after a protracted legal battle, Bethenny unloaded the Tribeca apartment she once shared with Jason for nearly $7 million once she finally managed to finagle his grimy fingers off the deed. You might think after all of that Bethenny would be ready to settle down!
Bethenny explains that she was never really that attached to the SoHo home she custom-designed from scratch.”When I bought the apartment, I was in a situation where I really needed to buy something. It was a time when I needed to get some stability for Bryn and myself and I needed a home for us.”

After paying $4 million for the home, Bethenny now says it has served its purpose and she’d “like a bigger place.” Is that because Bethenny has ever-faithful Dennis Shields in her life? The two were rumored to be looking at apartments together a few months ago.
More square-footage isn’t the only reason Bethenny is constantly on the move – she may venture in to real estate investment. “I have been doing really well in real estate and I’ve got the bug,” she tells People.
“When buying, I think, ‘Would I like to live here?’ and also, ‘Is it also a good investment?’ I adopt these properties, and give them some love,” Bethenny adds. “I never bought the apartment with the intention of living there permanently. I added value. Now I’ll find another place to do the same thing to.”
Whatever she buys next, Bethenny plans to stay downtown near Bryn’s school, and looks forward to doing another full renovation. Well, I guess she won’t be giving Jason her newest address!
In other news – Jules’s divorce continues to be at an impasse over finances and living arrangements. Jules and her husband Michael are co-habitating in their three-story Grammercy Park town-home, with the agreement that Michael will cover the rent. Unfortunately he’s not doing that (or staying current on child support) and Jules was served an eviction notice – from a townhouse it turns out that Jules actually owns. (I believe it has to do with co-op payments or building dues, not so much actual rent).
In lieu of having Michael placed in contempt of court for non-payment of child support and other obligations, Jules, through her attorney, requested permission to sell the home for money. And presumably to get out from under the same roof as Michael.
“Since it’s her name on the apartment, she should be allowed to sell it,” her attorney argued. “They’re going to be deeper in the hole in four or five months and her credit will be ruined.” The judge agreed – granting Jules permission to list the pad and move on – literally.

Unsurprisingly Michael is unhappy with that determination and complains that Jules wouldn’t be so destitute if she quit partying and found a job. This from the man who did not pay his kids’ tuition so he could take flying lessons… And, according to his attorney, seems to be stalking his ex-wife’s Instagram.
The NY Daily News reports that the couple will share proceeds from the sale, with the breakdown of who gets what being determined at a later date. Since Jules used Bethenny’s divorce attorney, maybe Jules ought to use her real estate agent, too, and call Fredrik Eklund.
