Paul Rudd managed to avoid getting arrested when he was 16. During his appearance on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, the “Ant-Man” actor recounted two incidents from his teenage years when he was nearly arrested.
Marvel star Paul Rudd admits to being arrested twice during his teenage years
While talking to music producer Benny Blanco, comedian Lil Dicky, and Dicky’s wife, Kristin Batalucco, on the podcast on May 19, the Marvel star shared an amusing story. He recounted an incident where he was in a car with his friend Mike, who was driving. They had water guns with them, and there was a car beside them containing their friends, who also had water guns. “We were being rascals, and we were shooting at each other, and a cop pulled us over,” the actor recalled.
He told his other friends to keep going, but Mike pulled over. “Mike pulls over and he has a gun trained on us,” Rudd shared. He explained how the police officer walked around to the side of the car and said, “Alright, boy. Slowly, real slowly, hand over that water gun. And you better pray it’s a water gun.” “And he has a gun on me. I’m like 16,” the actor described.
The actor further narrated that the cop gave Mike a ticket for reckless driving and gave me an accomplice to reckless driving. He said because you swerved into another lane. “Maybe he was just trying to teach us a lesson,” he added.
However, that was not the last incident. The other time he was in his freshman year. He was new to drinking and was in Kansas. “And cops came around and I was underage and so I just dumped it,” he described, and said the cops pulled us over, and said, “You had a beer.” Rudd told the cops that he was just holding and wasn’t drinking. But he had to go to the court and had to “do community service.”
