Big Brother’s Jessie Godderz and Morgan Willett Team up with 98 Degree’s Jeff Timmons for Fun Music Video
The Big Brother alumni are doing a slow march to takeover the world. First they’ve been dabbling in the soap opera world, then they’ve been adding more reality shows to their resumes, and some are even taking the music universe by storm. Musicians like Paul Abrahamian and Kryssie Ridolfi were playing music before Big Brother, and now their band’s fandom continues to grow.
Today’s Big Brother news brings us an unexpected singer in the form of one of our favorite Big Brother personalities: Jessie Godderz aka Mr. PEC-Tacular. Recently, Jessie teamed up with his friend and 98 Degrees band member, Jeff Timmons. The two recorded a duet . In the song, Jessie and Jeff are competing for the love and attention of another Big Brother alumni, Big Brother Over the Top’s winner, Morgan Willett.
Entertainment Tonight exclusively released the video for “The Girl is With Me,” and conducted an interview with Timmons about it. In the interview, Timmons expressed that the aim of the video was to be a little cheesy and have fun with the idea of competing for someone’s affection. It was also inspired by Sir Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson’s song “The Girl is Mine.”
Timmons also revealed that he was impressed by Jessie’s singing skills and that this really was a collaborative project. Timmons thought of the concept and lyrics, but Jessie also had some input on the lyrics. It’s a fun video that really hams it up with a surprise twist ending, and it highlights why you might want to be a little humble when trying to win someone’s heart, especially someone who won Big Brother Over the Top.

The Stud Of The Sea Is Back! Below Deck Season 6 Premieres Tonight!
After the drama in the Med, I am more than ready for the Stud of the Sea. Captain Lee Rosbach can do no wrong, and he’s returning with the queen of RBF, Kate Chastain. The phenomenal oceanic duo is joined by a crew of newbies, and the sexual tension on the new season of Below Deck is off the charts. If tonight’s premiere is any indication, it’s going to be a raunchy romp. Perhaps the charter guests should bring a black light…
Well, the first primary guest probably wouldn’t care. He laughs in the face of danger and dresses like the scary Burger King. Rich people are cray, but this dude wreaks havoc on a jet ski while refusing to wear a life jacket. Obviously, throwing caution to the wind doesn’t sit well with a certain Captain, as you can imagine. Nevertheless, Lee joins the rambunctious guests for what looks like an amazing meal by new chef Adrian Martin.
While the charter guests get rowdy, it’s the Below Deck crew are taking it to another level entirely. Hoping to entertain the diners with a buff Cupid, Rylee Gerber is a living, breathing HR violation as she diapers Ashton Pienaar for the role. As the crew cackles hysterically, Rylee shoves her hands all up in Ashton’s junk. It is quite a spectacle, and perhaps a tad sexual harassment-esque?

Jeff Lewis Says It’s Hard To Get Over Abuse Claims From Jenni Pulos; Shannon Beador Not Interested In Befriending Gina Kirschenheiter At This Point
With Shannon Beador and Jeff Lewis in the clubhouse, there was bound to be ample amounts of shade on last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live. Well, with Jeff Lewis and Andy Cohen, there’s bound to be ample amounts of shade. Shannon is more of a ‘straight to the point’ kind of girl than a shade thrower.
Shannon and Jeff discussed everything from Real Housewives of Orange County newcomer Gina Kirschenheiter, Vicki Gunvalson’s anti-divorce campaign, and of course, Jeff’s feud with Flipping Out costar Jenni Pulos.
After Andy complimented Shannon on her high ponytail, Shannon told him, “I was married to someone who said ‘Do not put your hair back,’ so I put my hair back.” Good for you Shannon. Cue, the obvious Mean Girls reference. Shannon, your hair looks sexy pushed back.
Switching gears completely, Andy asked Jeff if he and Gage Edward are going to have another child. Jeff used this opportunity to allude to the current lawsuit with the surrogate they used for their baby Monroe, answering, “We might have trouble finding a surrogate, so we’re gonna have to keep looking because I don’t think we could use the one we had before. We would like to. So we’ll see.” Even Andy pointed out, “Boy, you don’t stop do you?” Nope. The shade just keeps on coming.

Then Jeff chimed in on Vicki’s very repetitive comments about how she regrets not trying harder to be a better wife. Jeff said what most of the viewers at home have been thinking: “What bothers me is that Vicki keeps how she would have [needed] to work on that marriage, which I think is very disrespectful to her current boyfriend. It’s just constant, constant, constant like she made a mistake.”
When asked about her dating life, Shannon answered, “Well, I just got out of a twenty year relationship. What’s interesting is that David [Beador] moved in with his girlfriend today, within a year’s time.” She declared, “I’m having fun right now and that’s what I want to do.”
Later in the episode, a caller asked Jeff, “Have you met her new man and do you like him?” Clearly these two were not on the same page last night since Jeff said, “I have. I have. He’s here. He’s here.” And then he looked at Shannon and rhetorically asked, “Am I not supposed to say that?” Clearly not. Shannon was definitely caught off guard by that moment. He tried to retract his statement and lied, “No, I haven’t met him.” Ultimately Jeff concluded, “Yeah, nice guy.” Well, that’s good at least, even though Shannon clearly wanted a bit of privacy for once.
Andy said that he heard David’s girlfriend is pregnant. Shannon told him “I don’t know, but I don’t think she is. I haven’t heard that.” I guess we will see….
Then Andy essentially invited Jeff to shade several Bravolebrities, prompting him to share the first question he would ask each of them. When Vicki was mentioned, Jeff admitted, “I would probably ask about Brooks [Ayers]. She’s not gonna answer, but if she knew about the cancer… or had an indication.” I don’t blame him. There’s zero chance that she would actually answer, but it is the one thing we all want to know.
What would Jeff ask Carole Radziwill? He shared, “I would ask her if she really indeed quit or if she was fired, even though I know the answer.” Which is!? I wish he just said it. He was on live TV. Sure, Andy wouldn’t have been happy, but the fandom would just love to know.
When it comes to Gina, Jeff said, “I would ask about Matt [Kirschenheiter]. I wonder if Matt, who is living in LA, was maybe seeing someone else. I allegedly think he was probably cheating on her.”
It was only a matter of time before Andy asked about Jeff’s feud with Jenni. He asked, “Can you envision the two of you being friends again?” Jeff answered, “I’m a very, very forgiving guy and never say never, but when someone reports abuse to your bosses, that’s kind of something that’s hard to get over.”
Shannon chimed in with, “I give it a couple years.” She told Jeff, “You’re like me. It takes time to process.” Then Jeff admitted, “I’ve been watching the show and I already miss her, but just when someone crosses the line, it’s hard to get over.” This season of Flipping Out is going to get messy.
Then they played a preview for next week’s Real Housewives of Orange County episode where Gina is upset that Shannon is slow to warm up to the idea of being friends with her. Shannon countered with, “I launched a food line in six months, which is unheard of. I was a single mom of three going through a nasty divorce. If being friends with some new girl- who, oh by the way has been judging me and stirring the pot so far- I’m not going to put those other things underneath and put her at the top of my totem pole. Sorry.” So clearly they are not besties at this point in time.
A viewer asked Jeff, “When are you going to marry Gage?” Get ready for this one. Jeff confessed, “I was just talking to my good friend Julie Grossi over there about that on the plane ride. I’m not going to propose to him on air, but I’m considering it and I think he’s probably shocked right now.” Let’s just hope they film it for a Flipping Out wedding special because Jeff trying to plan a wedding is bound to be stressful, shady, and entertaining.

Teen Mom OG Recap: Welcome to the Family
Sooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!! Teen Mom OG is back and this season looks like it will be loaded with drama and twists and turns. The show will definitely be interesting given the absence of Farrah Abram, who was never lacking in the crazy drama department. This season we have two new Moms, Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd and I find both picks to be very interesting for different reasons.
First, Bristol is no stranger to being in the public eye, given her stint on reality TV and her mother Sarah Palin’s political affiliations. Apparently a lot of people were surprised about MTV’s choice, including cast mate Tyler Baltierra, who called it “weird”. Cheyenne is also an interesting choice because she is not actually a “teen” mom; she had her baby in her 20’s with a fellow co-star, Cory Wharton. But I think both have real stories to tell and it will be fascinating learning more about them along with the other cast mates we have grown to love or hate over the years.
We jump right into the drama that Maci and her family are currently facing. Ryan Edwards, Bentley’s sperm donor father allegedly called Maci’s husband Taylor in a fit of rage and threatened to kill him after Taylor posted a message on social media, calling him a 30 year olds who is jobless and doesn’t know how to wipe his own BLEEP. Considering Ryan’s struggles with drugs and alcohol in previous seasons, this isn’t completely unbelievable.
Maci files an order of protection based on the threat that will ban him from coming around the family excluding Bentley and their home. Somehow this arrangement still allows Ryan to still be able to come to Bentley’s games and events as long as he stays away from Maci and her family. He also cannot call, text or email her or Taylor or he will be in violation and possibly go to jail. I find this arrangement to be quite problematic, I don’t know how he would be able to attend events but not potentially run into Maci. Ryan’s parents worry this may affect their visitation with Bentley. But it seems like they may get to see Bentley even more, because someone will have to be a buffer between Ryan and Maci.
Bristol Palin
Enter Bristol Palin, new cast member and mom of three. She reveals her husband, Dakota Meyer is a veteran who is suffering from PTSD and it has really put a strain on their marriage. He feels like Bristol isn’t being supportive when he has anxiety issues and nightmares from his time in the military. There is a very tense conversation in the car about this in front of the kids. Bristol seems numb, while trying to be compassionate. She feels Dakota uses his anxiety to make her his punching bag.
It seems like this household is very toxic and I found several scenes difficult to watch. I felt like a nosy neighbor by the fence that was pretending to prune the bushes, while listening to the couple next door argue. It just felt like I was not supposed to be a witness, but of course I still watched while snacking on popcorn.
There were several arguments were she seemed like a shrinking violet, while he yells angrily at her. This family is definitely in need of some intense counseling, together and separately. It’s hard to discern what is at the root of all of the issues, because both seem to have some fault in the situation, but don’t seem to know how to communicate in a healthy way.
Catelynn Baltierra
First let me say, Nova is so cute! Last season we witnessed Catelynn’s battle with depression and the decision she made to seek help, which has left Tyler to feel like a single father. Catelynn is still in treatment for her anxiety and depression for the next six weeks and Tyler confides in his mom that he feels “sucked dry” and is becoming bitter. My heart goes out to this couple, depression is no joke and difficult for the person suffering as well as their family. But I am glad that this topic is being highlighted and may inspire someone to seek help if they are experiencing similar emotions.
Catelynn FaceTimes with Tyler to check in with him. It broke my heart to hear Nova in that little voice ask “Mommy, are you feeling better”. When Catelynn attempts to get off the phone, she says “Don’t Leave Me”. Tyler looked completely defeated and you can tell that Catelynn’s absence and taking care of Nova all alone is really weighing on him.
At dinner with his mom, both Tyler and his mom talk about how they are losing empathy for Catelynn and how revolting it is to watch her just sit on the couch and do nothing. I understand how someone who doesn’t suffer from anxiety or depression can see it as maybe laziness or the person just not trying. But, I really felt bad watching them both speak so poorly about Catelynn and neither one come to her defense. I believe they may need to go to family counseling when she returns, there are definitely some cracks in the foundation at this point.
Tyler decides to go see a therapist and explains the resentment that has been building. He feels like there wasn’t a discussion about her leaving and he is always playing the caretaker and he isn’t receiving that back. He reveals that he has not been happy in the relationship for the last couple of years. I can understand how overwhelming it can be to always be in a position to care for someone else and often ignore you own needs. But, I think both Tyler and Catelynn are taking the right steps to seek help to understand their feelings and resolve lingering issues.
Amber Portwood
We first see Amber towards the end of her pregnancy with “Baby James”, who surprised her with an earlier than expected delivery. Her relationship with Leah’s father, Gary has improved since the last reunion. Gary and the family even decide to go as a family to visit Amber and the baby and come bearing gifts.
Amber and baby James come home with daddy Andrew Glennon, who honestly I still can’t figure out. I am questioning is he just shy and uncomfortable on television or does he just seem strange… I haven’t decided yet, but for now I am giving him the side eye and watching him closely. I still find it strange that they met on show that Amber was on to fix problems with her ex and how quickly their relationship has progressed. But let’s face it, anyone is an improvement from Matt.
Despite all of their differences, they both seem genuinely happy together. Amber seems to be happy and in a much better place than previous seasons, which is a nice change considering all of the turmoil she has had in her life. As happy as Amber appears, she can’t shake her guilty feelings in about how different her life was when Leah was a baby in comparison to James.
Cheyenne Floyd
Cheyenne is a new cast member who was featured on other MTV shows such as, Are you the One and The Challenge. She actually met the father of her child on ‘The Challenge’ and cheated on her boyfriend, Zach with Cory after the reunion. She wasn’t sure who the father was until six months later a blood test, confirmed Cory as the dad. Can I just say, baby Ryder is such a little cutie pie! When she said “Bye daddy, I love you” my heart just melted. We see Zach, having a conversation with Cheyenne’s family about his feelings about being blended family. I think for Zach to forgive Cheyenne and help raise Ryder really shows the type of man he is.
Cory and Cheyenne are trying to co-parent, and he does not like that Zach lives with the mother of his child and baby. Cory’s ego is bruised because another man gets to spend more time with his child.. He shares it would be easier for him, if she was just single. Cheyenne is playing a dangerous game she seems to be having her cake and eating it too. The lines are definitely blurred between both men. She has personal conversations with Cory concerning her relationship and seems to have flirtatious encounters as well. Girl, my advice is to tread lightly. She definitely is walking a tightrope trying to balance both relationships, and someone is bound to fall. I think they all need to sit down and have a mature conversation about the situation and decide to do what is best for the child and not their egos.
I have watched numerous shows with Cory, let’s just say he is known for showmances, if you can even call it that, with multiple women on all of these shows. Cory clearly isn’t ready to settle down, so she may not want to jeopardize her relationship, if Zach if he is…
Her mom gives her some sage advice, and tells her to put herself in Zach’s position and be more cognizant of his feelings. Cory thinks she still has feelings for him and he thinks he could have her back if he wanted. From where I am sitting, he may be right under the right circumstances. Nonetheless, I am rooting for Zach, who seems to be a much more solid choice.
Bonus- Teen Mom OG Aftershow
The last 30 minutes of the premier was an after show hosted by EJ Johnson. As viewers, we get to gain a little more insight about the newcomers, Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd. They are put to the test answering fan questions and even more from OG vet, Catelynn Baltierra, who wishes she would have received a call about her new cast mates.
Both newbies are grilled about all sorts of topics from controversial tweets in their past to how they felt about joining an already tight knit cast. Both were nervous about joining the cast, but ultimately thought that people would be able to relate to their story. When Cheyenne was asked about her not technically being a “teen” mom, she felt although she doesn’t share being pregnant in her teens, she does feel the entire cast can relate to where they all are currently in their lives.
Bristol is even asked about Farrah Abram’s comments about her trying to be her, to which she replies vehemently that she is NOTHING like her!
Cory, the father of Cheyenne’s baby, surprises everyone when he makes an appearance. Cheyenne reveals the door with Cory may not be all the way closed, which is no surprise if you saw the first hour and a half, where clearly there seemed to still be chemistry. The audience votes for Zach vs.Cory and Cory wins with a landslide. I personally would vote for Zach who seems like marriage material in comparison to the Cory the playboy.
All in all, this 2 hour season premiere did not disappoint! There was a little of everything, drama, love triangles, cute babies, and police reports. What more could you ask for? This season is looking like it is going to be action packed and I can’t wait to see what else our favorite Teen Moms are have in store this season.

90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days Star Darcey Silva’s twin sister Stacey Silva shares details of the “Cat fight” that cost Darcey her relationship with Jesse Meester
Don’t you hate it when a romantic relationship causes tension with your nearest and dearest? Definitely a huge red flag for me personally, and certainly a reason to reassess the situation, but then again I’m not trying draw out my camera time on a reality show about questionable couplings. But I digress.
Stacey Silva interviewed on the 90 Day Fiance Live after show and made it clear that voicing her concerns about her twin sister Darcey’s relationship with Jesse Meester was the catalyst for their altercation.
“First of all, I want to say my sister and I love each other very much and we’re twin sisters, we have an amazing bond, we have arguments like any other sibling,” Silva continued onto her assessment of Meesters. “It was just tit for tats that night. Honestly, we have for tats all the time, I tried to open her eyes on many occasions to let her know that I feel like [Jesse] was not being a good person to her and manipulating her in his own right-even though he says she manipulated him.”
Stacey insisted the fight did not get physical, and though the police were called, an actual arrest did not take place. She detailed it further by saying, “We got citated, we never got handcuffed, we never got sent to jail, we just had to go to court and the case got dismissed and we’re fine. It’s nothing I wish upon anybody, we learned our lesson. It brought us stronger together.”
According to Stacey, the media exaggerated the fight, reporting that it got physical and Darcey was arrested. Though Darcey and Stacey both downplayed the incident, fans tuning in to the latest episode of 90 Day saw Jesse fly all the way from Amsterdam to NYC to break up with Darcey because of it.

Leave it to Shahs of Sunset alum Lilly Ghalichi to have a glamorous birth. Congratulations are in order for Lilly and her husband Dara Mir, who just welcomed their first child together.
Not only that, but Lilly managed to plug her faux lashes in the process of announcing her daughter’s birth. Talk about multitasking!
On October 1, Lilly shared the first photos of her baby girl on Instagram. Along with the pictures, Lilly wrote, “Alara Mir. Born 9/30/18. Our hearts are so full. Thank you for choosing us to be your parents.” That right there is a super sweet post.

Real Housewives Of Orange County Recap: The Emancipation Of Shannon Beador
Sheesh was last night’s Real Housewives Of Orange County a big ole snooze. When the most exciting thing that happens is Shannon Beador bending over on national TV (and I don’t think she was attempting the Legally Blonde Bend & Snap!) before wobbling her own self-described gut, you know it’s gonna be a good one!
Look, I feel for Gina Whatserfacernameo, but I am so tired of her talking about her divorce! I KNOW, I KNOW – getting divorced is traumatic, painful, and all-consuming, but we’re not connected to Gina or Mystery Meat Matt who just walked through our door, and yet every episode features Gina crying over how she knows she’s doing the right thing by ending her marriage, but yada, yada, yada…
First Gina goes to eat tacos with her parents and after they discuss how nice the weather is (Gina’s other favorite topic!), she cries about how she has this new friend Tamra Judge who has all these old friends who are also practically the same age as Gina’s parents, and who are making her feel real, real bad for getting a divorce. Dammit, Gina wants casseroles, not judgments. At least we learned that Gina isn’t completely flippant about the split! Despite acting like dumping her husband is no different than returning a shirt you’ve already worn to Target, she shares they’re going to get counseling for tips on how to best talk to their kids. That’s reassuring, although I’m not sure when this counseling could take place given that Matt only comes to the OC about one hour a month. Skype?
Meanwhile, Vicki Gunvalson conquers her fear of riding things to hop on the back of Steve’s Harley. I’m including Brooks in those “things.” Steve has always dreamed of owning a motorcycle so Vicki told him to go ahead, put it on her credit card – after all she’s got insurance on top of insurance because WOO HOO! if there’s one thing she’s good at it’s insuring people in case they die! She’s just not good at reassuring people. Predictably Vicki screams all the way to the biker bar about 15 minutes from her house, even though I bet Steve was only going like 15 MPH. It’s probably PTSD over the time Tamra nearly killed her in Glamis. As Vicki’s life flashes before her eyes she realizes 2 things: 1) Gina is wrong for leaving Matt; 2) If Steve doesn’t marry her right now he’ll be the one fearing for his life after she possesses the Harley by overflowing its tank with her love.
Over at Shannon’s she’s prepping to travel to Philly to unveil her prepared foods collection for QVC. It’s no brilliant idea like an affordable healthy food restaurant or anything, but it’s something to gain independence and confidence after David slashed that with a broken tortilla chip and crunched it into tiny shards of corn dust. WHICH HAS CALORIES. AND CARBS.
Tamra, Shannon’s oldest daughter Sophie, and about 15 pounds of vitamins are coming along for moral support. After Shannon portions the vitamins out into giant mountains of Vitamin C, probiotics, witch juice to keep the bad husbands away, portable Feng Shui potion no 9, lemon zinger snarcasm ointment, Spanx-i-colitis, anti-delusiant powder, and good old-fashioned valium. She probably also added a pocked-sized Dr. Moon to sit on her shoulder as the good angel wagging his finger against negative thoughts and bad eating, meanwhile, Tamra is the devil on Shannon’s other shoulder taunting her with all the things she shouldn’t do and warning her against all the ways this could go wrong. Also reminding her that David is driving his new 30-something girlfriend around in his brand new Porsche while complaining that he can’t afford alimony. And after she cut him a deal!!
Of course, there is the David factor. There’s always the David factor. There is no Shannon without the David factor! For instance, he lets the girls do and wear whatever they want leaving Shannon to be the bad mom who tells them no hoochie outfits or designer leather jackets.
Kelly Dodd‘s daughter Jolie is in musical theater and Kelly attends rehearsal smothering her every adolescent urge not to yell “DORK!” at the kids, which is ironic considering that Kelly is the one dressed like a majorette. Kelly has no idea what the appeal of jazz hands are because when she was in high school the theater geeks were the people she smashed into lockers. Jolie has probably figured out that jazz hands will distract Kelly from talking about her sex life and leave her in peace.
Emily Simpson is also boring. Despite almost dying as a result of miscarrying twins, and then relying on her sister to be her surrogate she still wants to unfreeze one of her remaining embryos to have a fourth kid. Um, why are none of these women yelling in her face that this is a bad idea – why are they so distracted by Gina’s divorce that Emily’s glaringly obviously bad decision is being overlooked?! Anyway, yes, Emily it’s a bad idea. You can’t even keep up with the kids you have – one of them pooped his pants, smearing it everywhere and you didn’t even notice until he told you. That’s probably why he always has pink eye, btw!
This happened, and I don’t understand why. And yes, that’s a photo of my TV.
Also what was that incredibly odd 50 foot bikini butt acting as a stage curtain to open Emily’s scene? This was right before she asked her kid where his pants were. Someone in Bravo editing is throwing some hella shade about how boring (or shitty) Emily is! Or they really like 1980’s TV. But (pun intended!) this is the era of Me Too, so objectifying women by turning them into empty sex objects to be ogled and gawked at is so not ok. Take 50 foot butt shit back to vintage Miami Vice episodes!
After this blissfully Shane-free episode, it’s back to Gina’s Divorce Saga. This time she meets with Vicki, who owes her an apology and if Gina is really extra-special lucky she might actually get it! For this coffee date, Gina has borrowed her accessories from Two Chainz and her pants from Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. It was not, as they say, her best look.
Vicki explains, “Gina cried at my house, I felt responsible… ” Which is good – CAUSE YOU WERE RESPONSIBLE, VICKTIM! You whacked her on the head with your bible. A bible that has a hole cut in the middle of it like a trick book because Vicki + Jesus = Saton is confusing!
According to Vicki hindsight has Donn looking pretty darn amazing and she regrets leaving for greener grass. That doesn’t stop her from telling Gina that it’s selfish to get a divorce because of how it will affect the children. Was Vicki thinking of Briana and Michael when she was emotionally cheating on Donn with Brooks? Yeah, didn’t think so! And then Gina, aged half of Vicki, interjects to explain that Vicki needs to stop whining over spilled wine and dead grass. Maybe leaving Donn wasn’t the best decision, but it’s long in the past now and presently Vicki has Steve, who pretends to like her, is the Insurance Queen Of The West Coast, and makes great casseroles. Speaking of, Gina would prefer them to Vicki’s open criticisms.
Gina Says Vicki Was “Beyond Hurtful” In Questioning Her Morality; Is Tired Of Having To Defend Herself
Since Gina figured out that flattery is the way to Vicki’s heart, she apologizes for saying Gina doesn’t have a moral compass – clearly, she does since she recognizes how amazing Vicki is! – and then sends her out the door with some iced tea until she has time to whip up a tuna noodle comfort food.
In Philadelphia Tamra and Shannon take Sophie to a bar – yep! – where Sophie shares the depths she’s willing to go to get her parents attention. Try stealing David’s new Porsche, crashing it into the garage, and then, after David took her car away, bragging that she’ll have it back within in the week by stealing her own keys. Obviously, David is distracted by his new 30-year-old girlfriend and Shannon is distracted by… Light reflected off crystals? Her blind rage at David’s continued existence?
QVC looks like a gorgeous and professional organization (true confession: Shawn Killinger is my girl!), but I find it very odd that they don’t require their ‘talent’ to thoroughly rehearse before going on TV LIVE. If there’s anyone who needs copious dress rehearsals it’s Shannon! Did they do no research?! Back in the OC Kelly hosts a viewing party for Shannon’s moment. Basically, this is just an excuse to drink wine in the middle of the day and mock Shannon in the company of others, so it doesn’t seem so mean. Kelly also styled Shannon for the spot, but as Tamra points out the blazer is too small.
Backstage Tamra and Sophia also mock Shannon as she tries to navigate working the microwave while garbling about how if you eat one of these sensible healthy meals during the week you can justify the ‘I HATE MY LIFE AND BASTARD EX-HUSBAND’ cocktails on the weekend. So a win-win and uh, yeah, cream cheese that oozes onto salmon – who doesn’t love that?! Shannon loves that! Shannon loves it so much that she bellows it during a live taping that interferes with the studio next door. Clearly, she doesn’t have a lot of bright spots in her life presently as illustrated by how Shannon managed to degrade and put herself down on national TV in only 8 minutes. Tamra did have a point that she should’ve focused on the positives, but cut a girl some slack – like Tamra could do any better! Who does she think she is, Heather Dubrow?!
After the segment, Vicki tries to order some meals but apparently the operators at QVC think “Vicki Gunvalson” is like way WAY too famous as an insurance super-star to really be calling them herself, so they hang up. When Kelly calls back doing her best impersonation of Brooks impersonating Vicki to try to use her credit card, the QVC operator again hangs up. So, someone at QVC is not a fan of the OG of the OC?!
Alls well that ends well though. The salmon or the shrimp with the oozy-boozy cream cheese (what is in that stuff) sells over 1,000 units in the first 8 minutes. No one but Tamra noticed that Shannon’s jacket was too tight – in fact, Kelly and Vicki thought she looked great. And most importantly Shannon is overjoyed and proud of herself. She feels a real sense of accomplishment in this first itty-bitty baby step of getting out from under David’s control. First Salmon, then the world!
Errrr…congrats Shannon (and I mean that sincerely, but maybe next time don’t bend over on TV to re-use the fork you dropped on the ground.) Also, I appreciate that this season these women are moving through problems, not dwelling on them, and largely having fun together.
