Amid personal turmoil, many stars have turned to Dr. Phil to air their grievances and, on some occasions, seek a solution to their distress. However, in hindsight, was it the remedy they wanted it...Nothing gets me more pumped for a new Real Housewives season than the taglines reveal. These are the phrases that each Housewife says at the start of each episode. They (usually) entertain and set the tone for what to expect from each cast member that season.
Now that the Real Housewives of New York taglines have been released I cannot help (over) analyzing about what’s about to go down in the new season.

Some of the taglines are on point, others I think could have been better. What I really want to see is how the creation goes down. Is it a back and forth between the cast members and someone from production, or what?
We still have to wait a teeny bit long for new episodes, so I’m happy that Bravo threw the fandom a bone by releasing the taglines. Let’s see what we have in store for us next season on Real Housewives of New York.
Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny Frankel threatening, “If you’re going to take a shot at this B, you better not miss,” is just such a Bethenny thing to say. Does the “B” stand for “bitch” or is the “B” for “Bethenny”? Most likely both and it’s working.
The Skinnygirl founder is pulling no punches this season…as per usual.

I’m actually surprised that Ramona Singer didn’t declare “I’m an acquired taste. If you don’t like me? Acquire some taste!” a few seasons ago. It totally works for her and it could even play into her penchant for Pinot Grigio.
Sonja Morgan

Sometimes I think Sonja Morgan is the most self-aware person with all of the self-deprecating humor that she uses to make fun of herself. Other times, I feel the exact opposite. For years people have been comparing Sonja’s home life/financial situation to Grey Gardens so it’s about time that she said, “There’s nothing grey about my gardens.” It makes sense to me.

If you ever look at Carole Radziwill’s social media, you know that she is still all about the 2016 presidential election. Don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely important to care about politics and the future of our country, but unless one of the Housewives is running for president, I really don’t want to hear about it during every Real Housewives of New York episode. I also don’t even feel like this quote is true since all of the other cast members got on her last season for devotion to Bethenny. Maybe she made more friends this season?

Since we don’t “know” Tinsley Mortimer as a Housewife yet, this one is tough to analyze and shade. Still, her declaration that “a good set of lashes can fix anything, even a mugshot” make me think she’s shooting for redemption in the media by going on reality.

After a long time of on-again-off-again antics between Kenya Moore and Matt Jordan, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is finally done with the drama… well, not drama in general, but just in that specific situation.
It seems like she has truly hit her breaking point since Kenya filed for a restraining order against Matt. After all of the public fights, social media shade, and makeups, it might actually be over between these two once and for all.

Apparently TMZ got a hold of some legal documents where Kenya claimed that Matt calls her thirty times a day – which is very odd since he claimed very publicly that he wanted nothing to do with her. Kenya also said Matt threatened her a week ago.
The judge granted Kenya’s request and now Matt has to stay two hundred yards away from her and “stop all harassing or intimidating behavior toward her or her family.”

Hopefully this puts an end to the antics between these two. Although I highly doubt that since the Real Housewives of Atlanta season is still airing and I’m sure Kenya will have a lot to say about him. Matt is going to appear in more episodes (hopefully not the reunion though) so I have to assume that we will hear more from the two of them on social media. I hope not, but it has been the pattern. If only that restraining order prevented social media shade as well.

Although sugar played a huge part this Wednesday on Survivor, not everything was so sweet for one contestant. On the heels of last week’s history-making Tribal Council, we were give a heck of a follow-up episode this week, where not only was there not much chaos at Tribal, but someone actually calmly sipped water from a cup as the votes were read…no joke. That’s a bit of a drastic contrast from the craziness we had previously witnessed.

It was only a matter of time after last week before JT Thomas‘ game would come to an early end. The former winner of Survivor: Tocantins (Season 18), JT was the game’s first-ever “perfect game” winner, meaning that he not only won the game, but he won with a unanimous jury vote, and never had a single vote cast against him the entire season. He returned for Heroes vs. Villains (Season 20) as a bona fide hero, but made a terrible error in judgment when he gave an Immunity Idol – wrapped in a hand-written note – to Russell Hantz of the Villains tribe, hoping to stop what he saw as an all-girl alliance forming. That plan backfired horribly when JT was blindsided at the first post-merge Tribal Council…it was the first time he’d seen his name written down as a vote against him and the first time he’d see his torch snuffed (the move was voted on by fans as the “Dumbest Move in Survivor History” at the Heroes vs. Villains Reunion Show).
It unfortunately would not be the last time. JT had the good fortune of winning Immunity the first three times around during Survivor: Game Changers, something he was accustomed to his previous seasons. But when Probst revealed the twist that would send two tribes to the SAME Tribal Council, that’s when the game really changed for JT. After the early tribe-swap, JT was the only original member of the Nuku Tribe to stay on the Nuku Tribe, having been joined by all members of the original Mana Tribe. In an effort to stay aligned with Brad Culpepper, whom he was close with at Nuku, JT got up at Tribal Council and whispered to Brad that his tribe intended to vote for Sierra. This led Tai to use his Idol on Sierra, but instead of Sandra getting voted out like JT had intended, the victim was Malcolm, who, out of all of his new tribe mates, JT had grown the closest with. Just like that, his closest current ally was voted out, his former ally Brad didn’t do what he had hoped, and he was left with a tribe full of players who wanted revenge for his bold, failed attempt.
Things began to look up for JT when he located a clue and then a hidden Immunity Idol, the very next morning after his blunder. But he grew over-confident when he was led to believe that the tribe was unanimously targeting Michaela, whom he had grown annoyed with over how she took her coffee (seven drips of coffee and a scoop of sugar, please!). It’s a head-scratcher, but even after JT was in such hot water after last week’s Tribal Council, he didn’t even bring his Idol with him to the next Tribal Council and it ended up being a fatal mistake: Despite being convinced that Michaela was going to have her torch snuffed, Sandra, Michaela, and Varner instead voted out JT, making him the fifth person out of the game. He’s now seen his name written down on three different occasions: When he won Survivor, and now twice when he was voted out.
I had the chance to speak with JT earlier today, the day after his final episode aired. You can listen to the full audio of the interview and podcast below, but here were some highlights from the interview.
JT INTERVIEW HIGHLIGHTS:
On what he had intended to happen at that crazy Tribal Council last week, where Malcolm was sent home:
JT Thomas: Well I always leave home saying that I can’t be scared to make a move. To really win the game and to make the game yours, you have to do something risky. And unfortunately I had to do it earlier than I wanted to in this game, because I really got a bad draw [with the tribe-swap]. So [the move at Tribal Council] went so completely wrong. Malcolm was my tightest ally, him and Aubry, that I had. So in order to get the numbers at my tribe, I had to get out either Sandra, Varner, or Michaela, to get them either on-board, or out of the game, in order to take control of my own destiny.
The plan was to get rid of Sandra because out of those three, Sandra was definitely calling the shots…we shouldn’t have even been at that Tribal, we should have won the challenge, Malcolm and I were dominating the challenges so he was the last person I wanted to see go home.
But until I did something about the numbers situation, I was going to be on the bottom. My goal was to somehow, someway, get the numbers. I saw this as an opportunity. I had Culpepper as a tight ally, I felt like I could trust him, we started the game together. So here was an opportunity to potentially save someone on his tribe, and in turn, all he has to do is vote for Sandra, who is a huge threat, who needs to go anyway. So my way of thinking was, if Culpepper was going to betray me, he wouldn’t do it yet…I decided in the last minute to try this move, because in my mind, it made all the sense in the world for Culpepper to just honor the deal, because I was helping him out. It didn’t work out, and the last thing I wanted or expected was to have Malcolm voted out.
On whether or not it was a mistake to NOT include Malcolm in his plans:
Actually I tried bringing it up to him, but he was against making any moves until he had to. That was Malcolm’s game-play. I tried to find a way to do it without him, because he didn’t want to have any part of it. Instead of asking for permission, I was going to ask for forgiveness, because he wasn’t on-board. Because he was safe, I wasn’t. That was the thing. Regardless if I had the numbers or not, Malcolm was safe. He didn’t want to stir anything up and Aubry was on-board, but the less people I told the less people that could have leaked the plan. So I kept it to myself, and I didn’t know that I was going to do that until that Tribal that night. I said this might be my only chance to get the numbers, and I trusted Culpepper, and I made a judgment call there that bit me in the butt, obviously. I put way too much stock in Culpepper.
On not even bringing his Idol with him to the last Tribal Council:
Oh yeah, right at the end of that Tribal Council before the vote, Michaela just seemed so confident, and she got more and more bitter which showed me how confident she was. It really just made me feel like, oh no, surely not. It was just a bad feeling. And all I could do was just hope for the best. I mean Aubry was blindsided too, she was on-board 100%. I just can’t see the logic behind the decision, but hey, they’re still in the game and I’m not.

That Reggie, always the prankster. So it makes sense that Ross Butler, who plays Archie Andrews' arch-frenemy on The CW's addictive teen murder mystery Riverdale, has a playful...I have to keep it real with you, I shed some unexpected tears during the Vanderpump Rules season finale. This whole season, it was difficult to get on board with Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s relationship, but they totally drew me in during the wedding episodes. Even Jax Taylor – who had little to no faith in the marriage – cried during the ceremony.
Even though Jax was questioning Tom and Katie’s relationship until they tied the knot, he was actually on deck to officiate the wedding after Lisa Vanderpump initially said no when the couple asked her. Don’t get me wrong, Lisa did a beautiful job, but it would have been entertaining to have Jax – of all people – marrying Tom and Katie. I mean, he had sex with half the bridal party. It would have been hilarious.

Obviously, Lisa was the best choice for this honor, but I wish we at least got to see what Jax would say if he had the chance to be the officiant. It would have been reality TV gold, especially because Jax has somehow become a voice of reason on this show.
Jax told Bravo’s The Daily Dish, “Well first of all, I was disappointed I didn’t get to step in and officiate ’cause I was the back-up plan and I thought I would have did a hell of a job. Not saying that Lisa Vanderpump didn’t do a great job. She did. She did an amazing job. It was really nice.”

Ultimately, Jax didn’t have any hard feelings that Tom and Katie went with their initial choice. “And having Lisa do the ceremony, I’d expect nothing less – she did an amazing job.”
Jax recalled, “And it was really cool to see Tom do his vows. I wasn’t sure how that was going to work out ’cause Tom’s not really an emotional, sentimental guy. So I even broke down when he started doing it. It was an emotional thing. It was very touching.” Schwartz really did kill it. This is when I started crying as well. Judge me, but whatever.

Last week's episode of Scandal ended with quite the shocker. After an episode centered on Huck's (Guillermo Diaz) quest to kill Rowan (Joe Morton) as a favor to Olivia, and his...Watching Erika Girardi freak out at Eileen Davidson for no reason during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills trip to Hong Kong was uncomfortable to watch. She was making something out of nothing and I just didn’t get why she would come for Eileen of all people – she is basically the president of the Erika Jayne fan club.
Even after that, Eileen bounced right back to being Erika’s cheerleader and she has no issue expressing her disappointment in PK and Dorit Kemsley for trashing Erika’s relationship with Tom Girardi.

I kind of thought that Erika would drag out Erika’s unsolicited freak-out so she could have a story line for a few episodes (like she did looking for an apology from Lisa Vanderpump over those “affair” comments), but that’s not what ended up happening.
In her Bravo blog, Eileen recalled, “Finally home, jet lagged and groggy, I met Kyle [Richards] and Erika for lunch. I knew Erika and I were going to be okay. Like I said, I feel like we get each other.” Alright, then.
Eileen continued fanning out: “I’m glad we can put that all behind us and get focused on more important things: Erika’s Y&R debut! Showing my friends the set is one thing, but actually having a friend come and shoot scenes? A wonderful experience. Especially when I saw Erika in my old dressing room! That place has so many memories for me, and now they do for her too.”

The Erika Jayne worship didn’t stop: “Wasn’t that scene hilarious? The best part? Erika was terrific! Congrats on her first, but certainly not last, time on Young and the Restless!” Personally, I was a bigger fan of the scene where Erika called out Dorit for being from Connecticut.
Eileen went in on Dorit and PK for their crusade against Erika: “After everything that went on in Hong Kong, is it really a smart move for PK and Dorit to come back and insult Erika and Tom’s marriage? They don’t know anything about their relationship! And who are they to judge, anyhow?”
I definitely agree with all of Eileen’s sentiments here. Still, I am surprised Eileen didn’t defend her girl Lisa Rinna from PK referring to her as “schizophrenic” and “dangerous,” but I guess this was an Erika-centered blog post.
Eileen vaguely teased about the upcoming finale episode: “This party is sure going to be interesting. It is a rosé tasting, so at least I know there will be wine. Looks like we’re gonna need it!”

The biggest shock from the season finale of Vanderpump Rules was when Lisa Vanderpump approached Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz about opening up a bar with her and Ken Todd. Well, it actually makes total sense for Lisa to ask Sandoval since he has been working at SUR for a decade and he has been very reliable. On the other hand, Schwartz has never come through for Lisa professionally, so I can see why he would be scared to accept the offer.
At first, I was thinking to myself, “What are you doing? Just say yes! Who would pass up a chance to start a business with Lisa and Ken?!,” but the more I thought about it, the more I understood why Schwartz would be little bit scared to take on that level of responsibility.

While offering Schwartz the opportunity to be the “face” of a bar called Tom Tom is the dopest wedding gift he could have ever received, it probably wasn’t a great call to talk to him while he was wasted. So I’m super curious about what progress has been made since that wedding night conversation.
In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Schwartz recalled, “I mean it’s so up-in-the-air, but at first I was just like ‘Oh my god, I can’t do this. I don’t want to tarnish your reputation that you spent 30 years building.’ Plus, also, in that moment I was emotionally fried.” And drunk.
Not only that, but involving Schwartz seemed to come out of left field. Sure, Lisa loves Schwartz, just like everyone else on the planet, but he did not come through as a bartender at PUMP or as salesman for the LVP sangria, so it just seems random. If anything, I figured she would ask Katie to join in on this since she is one of Lisa’s bvest employees.

Schwartz admitted, “I just couldn’t even process what she was proposing to me. There was so much going on in that moment, I could not process it, but I’m excited about. And we’ll see what happens.” And unfortunately, not much has happened since the moment we saw play out during the finale. Maybe they were just trying to keep the plans under wraps so a spoiler wouldn’t get out?
Schwartz revealed, “We’ve looked at a spot near PUMP, and we’ve had some creative conversations. But we’ve only talked about it one time since then.”
Get on it. I would love to see this play out during the next season/ eventually visit the restaurant as a customer. Still, Schwartz remained optimistic saying, “Stay tuned, but I’m excited about it, and any opportunity to work with Lisa or Ken – I really look up to them. They’ve had so much success.”

Literally.
Tinsley met her much-younger, much-monied former beau Nico after divorcing the much-monied, much social-connected Topper. Her relationship with Nico was dramatic from the get-go, and she confesses to spending “years” covering up the truth about their “tumultuous, terrible relationship.”

“Things did get pretty dark,” admits Tinsley. She alleges “physical, emotional abuse” from Nico, corroborated by several police reports, a hospitalization, and photos of Tinsley with bruises.
After years of instability, Tinsley finally snapped, reaching a “dark, lost place I never anticipated myself being in.” Last year she was arrested for trespassing at Nico’s house. “Being arrested was the one thing that broke me out of the cycle of violence.”

“It got really bad,” Tinsley confesses to People. “I had moments of feeling like I wasn’t going to make it. I was going to be one of those tragic stories you see on TV.” Well, not to make light of abuse, but now she has become a tragic story we see on TV – one of the travesty of selling one’s soul to Bravo.
That arrest, which Tinsley complains was “unfairly reported” by the media, “very abruptly” ended her relationship with Nico. A blessing in disguise, “because it ended up getting me back to New York.” And drawing her into the arms of reality TV.
Presently, Tinsley is “so excited” about her life and joining RHONY. “I just can’t believe how much has changed in the past year of my life. I lost myself and I am so happy to be back!”

“After everything that I’ve been through, um, you know – getting arrested, and having this crazy mugshot plastered everywhere all over the world, I just thought, you know, I’ve hit rock bottom and there’s really no place else I could go, so why not do reality TV?” When that’s your outlook on life, I’m not sure you have hit rock bottom yet.
Actually, Tinsley’s arrest prepared her well for Real Housewives Of New York! She had no problems dealing with the “big personalities” or “cattiness” of her co-stars. “I was like, ‘I went to jail, girls – you don’t mess with me. I can take you.'”
