New Vanderpump Rules Star Max Boyens Apologizes For Saying “N Word” After Racist Tweets Resurface

Up until now, the biggest problem Vanderpump Rules had with Max Boyens was trying to tell him and Brett Caprioni apart. They both have some Scheana Marie-related drama and they look so similar.

Well, now Max may be known as “the one with the racist tweets.” What is going on at Bravo lately? First LeeAnne Locken with the “Mexican” comments. Then a video resurfaced of Brandi Redmond mocking Asians. Now, Max’s tweets from 2012 have resurfaced and he dropped the n-word. A lot.

People reported (with screenshots) that Max previously tweeted, “It upsets me that the word n— is not allowed to be said unless you are black because quite honestly it’s my favorite word.”

In 2012, Max tweeted, “Something about Asians that just makes me want to punch them in the suck hole.” Oh, no. Not OK.

In another 2012 tweet, Max shared, “Theres this girl I see everyday @ school, she looks just like the girl from the movie precious & I’m not just saying this cuz she’s big and black.”

Max apologized for his posts in a statement he shared with Page Six. He told the publication, “I want to sincerely apologize for what I tweeted in 2012 — it was wrong on every level. It is not a representation of who I am. I am shocked I ever tweeted that — and I am disgusted and embarrassed — I am truly sorry.”

Vanderpump Rules Season 8 has already finished filming except for the reunion episodes, so this probably won’t be a storyline. But, will it be addressed during the reunion? If not, it’s bound to come up again on Watch What Happens Live when one of the 19,333,535 Vanderpump Rules cast members appears throughout the season.

Will the resurfaced tweets affect Max’s role on the show or his job at Tom Tom? We shall see, but let’s just hope that this trend doesn’t continue among the Bravolebrities, or anyone else for that matter. It is not OK.

Kristen Doute Says Scheana Marie & Ariana Madix Aren’t Invited To Stassi Schroeder & Beau Clark’s Wedding

Unlike most other reality TV shows, the Vanderpump Rules crew actually does hang out when the cameras aren’t rolling. It’s not like the Real Housewives shows when they take a big break and spend the first two episodes of every season “catching up.”

The Vanderpump Rules socializing and the Vanderpump Rules drama go all year round. That’s why it’s so sad that Kristen Doute is on the outs with Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney. Kristen is the one who introduced Stassi and her now-fiancé Beau Clark, yet she wasn’t there when they celebrated the proposal. Stassi’s frienemies (at best) Scheana Marie and Ariana Madix were at the post-proposal celebration at Lisa Vanderpump’s mansion, but Kristen wasn’t. Stassi’s mom Dayna Schroeder confirmed a rift between Kristen and Stassi soon after the proposal, but nothing has really changed. Kristen also wasn’t invited to the formal engagement party a few weeks later. That really has to sting.

In an interview for People TV, Daryn Carp asked Kristen where Ariana falls in the feud with Katie and Stassi. Daryn pointed out, “She’s had trouble with Stassi in the past. They’ve had problems.” And weirdly enough, after so many years of issues, Kristen and Ariana are actually great friends these days. And, yes, I’m still bitter this wasn’t highlighted on the show while it was happening. Major hole in the plot here.

Anyway, Kristen shared, “From what I’m witnessing, a lot of the girls are in Park City right now and Ariana and Scheana weren’t invited.” Katie, Stassi, Lala Kent, and Brittany Cartwright are all in Utah. Seemingly, Ariana and Scheana found out about the girls trip via Twitter. Ariana told a fan, “[I] don’t know anything about this!” and Scheana piped in with “Sames …” You can’t invite everyone to everything, but ouch.

Kristen continued, “I’m hearing that they’re also not invited to Stassi’s wedding and they weren’t invited to her engagement party. So, I wasn’t the only one.” Everyone who watches this show knows that the dynamics are constantly changing. These people can go from being enemies to best friends mid-reunion taping.

Daryn also asked Kristen, “Is there a world in which Tom Sandoval would be invited and Ariana wouldn’t be invited?” Did she not the see preview for next week’s episode with Stassi SCREAMING at Sandoval in Tom Tom?

Kristen told Daryn, “No, I don’t think so.  If anything, I think they would invite Ariana over Tom.” And, yes, as ridiculous as that is, we have seen people on this show invite one person from a couple and not the other to an event. Tom Schwartz went to Scheana’s birthday (the one where Faith Stowers revealed she had sex with Jax Taylor) even though she was on the outs with his wife Katie. Conventional boundaries do not apply in this group

Ashley Jacobs On Kathryn Dennis & Thomas Ravenel Hanging Out: “Toxic Attracts Toxic”

Are the cameras rolling for Southern Charm Season 7? God, I hope so. I just need to know what’s really going on with Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel. No, I don’t want Thomas back on my TV screen, but I would like some explanation from Kathryn about their kids-free hangouts.

How did they go from solely seeing each other in the courtroom to hanging out and posting photos together? That’s great for co-parenting, but is that all? Is there more between the two exes? Thomas’s infamous ex Ashley Jacobs shared her thoughts on the possible rekindling.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Ashley said she reached out to Thomas to “kind of poke fun” at the speculation surrounding him and Kathryn. Specifically, Ashley shared, “I took a screenshot of [the news] and I sent it to him. I said, ‘Congratulations.’ And he has not responded.” Well, why would he?

Ashley elaborated, “My only thought is, if it’s for the children, then great, you know.” That’s not all Ashley had to say though. If the exes are hanging out and it’s not for their children, she doesn’t have faith that a romantic relationship would work out.

Ashley began, “I will never understand. I think, you know, you never realize how toxic something is until you walk away from it — or meet someone who’s emotionally stable — and I’m all about healthy relationships from here on out.” Oh, Ashley. You were a part of that toxicity as well. Let’s not kid ourselves, girl.

The Southern Charm villain alum declared, “I guess toxic attracts toxic.” Ah, yes. That’s why Ashley and Thomas were together for so long.

Alexis Bellino Responds To Shade About Her Makeout Sessions On Below Deck

Is anyone else exhausted from this season of Below Deck? From chef drama with Kevin Dobson to the toxic “Bru Crew” trio of Ashton Pienaar, Tanner Sterback and Brian de Saint Pern, I feel like I have been working a long charter season myself. When loose-cannon Rhylee Gerber is the most likeable person on the deck crew, you know you have personnel problems.

This week, Real Housewives of Orange County alum Alexis Bellino showed up on Below Deck with her boyfriend Andy Bohn in a Bravo crossover move. Admittedly, I was expecting Alexis to be up to her old diva ways. Surprisingly, that hasn’t happened (yet!) as Alexis has been too busy engaging in some serious affection with her man. Kate Chastain and Courtney Skippon made it clear that they were not fans of Alexis’ excessive PDA. Not surprisingly, Alexis had something to say about it on social media.

In a Twitter post, Alexis stated, “Pot calling the kettle black???? Kissing shouldn’t be judged or ridiculed, especially if you are doing it too @kate_chastain and @courtneyskippon !!!! Fun times. We enjoyed every minute on the Valor! Thank y’all! @belowdeckbravo.”

Alexis has obviously watched this season of Below Deck, as Courtney has been romancing with Brian and Kate has had an odd flirtation with boy/man-about-the-boat Tanner. Their behavior is a little different than Alexis making out with Andy in front of strangers like spring breakers, but she has a point–in an Alexis kind of way.

Of course, Alexis had more to say, posting, “TheREAL: 72 total hrs total on the Valor yacht. 5 min total of airtime that u see from that 72 hrs. 7 seconds total of kissing recorded. Several excursions, activities, meals, naps, pools, FUN that you didn’t see. I’ll be showing THAT footage from the Yacht!!! It was a blast! #Luvthecrew.”

If we really only saw five minutes of airtime with Alexis, why did it feel like we watched five hours of kissing time? I won’t quibble with her statistics, however. I don’t think anyone ever wins an argument with Alexis with facts or logic.

In a follow up Twitter post, Alexis added, “We tired after this excursion, yet so thankful for Phi Phi Island tour @belowdeckbravo (and we ain’t kissing, hmm? ) Thx @jakebarrena for your video skills and capturing the REAL!!!!! Many more videos and real behind the scenes coming this week!!!”

Alexis shared a brief video in this post in which she and her man were not kissing–I guess that clears it all up. Advantage, Bellino! I can’t imagine what we would need to see that isn’t already shown on Below Deck, but I will give Alexis her moment in the scorching Thai sun. A sparkling new divorcee is deserving of some me-me-me time.

So, were Courtney and Kate offended by any of Alexis’ comments? A supportive Courtney took to Twitter and posted, “Not sayin’ I blame you for one second.” As Courtney had just hit a rough patch with Brian, it couldn’t have been fun to watch a couple actively engaging in affection with each other. OK–Alexis engaged in affection and Andy looking like he wanted to hide under the nearest deck chair.

Kate is also feeling Alexis amore, posting, “you were one of my favorite charter guests this season! You two make a gorgeous couple.” Considering how Kate feels about many of the charter guests, this is an absolute love fest for Alexis and Andy. Need any bridesmaids, Alexis? Kate would probably love to oblige!

The real drama will continue behind the scenes for the rest of the season with the at-odds yachties. I am crossing my fingers there will be a reunion as I am eager to see how the Bru Crew defends their questionable behavior towards the female crew members. And let’s add Kevin to that dodgy Bru Crew interrogation, too.

Married At First Sight Recap- I Married A Stranger

On last night’s episode of Married At First Sight the final two couples walked down the aisle. All five pairs will get a chance to interact with their spouse’s friends and family. I don’t know if I am more hopeful after watching or even more convinced about my original thoughts. Only time will tell who has made a huge mistake. I definitely have some front runners in that area. Everything will become clear once they move in together.

All the couples dance the night away at their wedding receptions.  Then it’s time for their first night together as husband and wife. Can someone say “awkward”?! I guess there is no way around getting better acquainted when you need help getting out of your wedding dress. Let’s get straight into the recap!

Meka & Michael

Meka Jones and Michael Watson are the fourth couple to walk down the aisle. Michael seems like he is ready to be someone’s husband. But with this show, I’ve learned all that glitters isn’t gold. As he calmly waits for the ceremony to begin, he reflects on the importance of family. Meanwhile, Meka’s demeanor is the polar opposite. I don’t know if her freak-out is nerves or because she is a perfectionist. If it’s the latter it may directly conflict with her new husband’s personality. During the ceremony, they both give heartwarming vows. When they meet after the ceremony the two seem to get along well. Although the photos are awkward in the beginning, they quickly find their stride.

Michael’s serene presence helps Meka through their first dance. Hopefully, it’s enough to get her through the wedding night. During dinner, they jump right into the hard questions. They find out they have different opinions on the timing of children. Wow, they couldn’t even wait until dessert. Meka meets the ladies in Michael’s family and gets some valuable advice about her groom. His aunt thinks that Meka will meet a great addition to the family. When Meka’s bridesmaids ask Michael about sex, he will follow his wife’s lead.

Mindy & Zach

Mindy Shiben and hair  Zach Justice are the final couple to tie the knot.  Mindy misses the family members who have chosen not to attend her wedding. But she does have the full support of her sister and friends. Right before she walks down the aisle, her father  sends a message asking for pictures. The jury is still out on Zach. I don’t know if it’s his hair or something else about him that doesn’t resonate with me. His own mother admits that her son has commitment issues and she hopes he doesn’t “bail” out of fear. The red flags are already starting to sway in the wind. During the ceremony, Zach gets on one knee and proposes to Mindy. Some may see it as a sweet gesture, but I thought it was more of a show. Something just doesn’t seem genuine about him. Things get awkward during their meeting when Zach asks about whether Mindy’s family attended the wedding. I actually felt sad for her. It was obvious she was embarrassed. They both are attracted to their new spouse and I actually hope I am wrong about Zach for Mindy’s sake. They definitely had some chemistry during the wedding photos. Maybe there is hope yet.

At the reception, Mindy and Zach’s first dance isn’t uncomfortable at all. They seem like they have known one another longer than a day. It will be interesting to see if that dynamic continues in the future. Although Mindy wears a brave smile, she is sad that her father wasn’t there to share her special day. Mindy’s sister more than makes up for her family’s absence with a beautiful poem to the bride and groom.

Mindy  gets to know Zach’s family better. His father has great things to say about his new daughter-in-law after meeting her. Mindy’s bridesmaids basically give Zach all of the embarrassing details about her and they aren’t even drunk. They basically tell him, she over-analyzes everything and he needs to be very direct with his communication. I don’t think I would want my negative qualities highlighted at my wedding reception.

Brandon & Taylor

 

Now that all five couples are married, it’s time to meet the friends and family. When Brandon Reid  meets Taylor Dunklin’s mom he tries to convince her he is in his marriage for the long haul. Hmm… not sure I completely believe that. Taylor meets Brandon’s mom and they  get along well. Taylor’s bubbly personality seems to win over the women in her husband’s family.

Brandon is very weird. I honestly hope this has something to do with his nerves and being on television. He is trying way too hard. During the reception he smashes his hand into the cake then offers it to Taylor.  What woman wants to eat out of the palm of a stranger’s hand, like a dog?  I’m not sure if he thinks he looks cool or he is just a strange person. Regardless, I am definitely looking forward to watching this play out for my entertainment.

Austin & Jessica

Austin Hurd  speaks to Jessica Studer’s bridesmaids and he admits he is, in fact a mama’s boy. He is totally uncomfortable answering questions about his life and expectations for his marriage. Sigh! Austin please loosen up, you are making me uncomfortable and I’m not even there. Jessica has a sweet moment with Austin’s niece, Scarlet.

Derek & Katie

Katie Conrad speaks with  Derek Sherman’s groomsmen for some advice on her new husband. Meanwhile, Derek talks to Katie’s father to learn more about his daughter. Her father tells him right away that Katie loves hard. He uses an example of her writing “I love you” on his car with a rock as a child. Is he trying to subtly warn Derek his daughter has a touch of crazy? If not, he surely convinced me. I may be right about her being the crazy wife on the show.

Katie’s bridesmaids are drunk with a capital D. They ask Derek “do you want to F%^& Katie tonight, or what?”  They even go in depth about sex and what Katie likes. Wow, is all I can say. These are your friends??? Never mind, after seeing Katie at the bachelorette, I can definitely see her fitting right in with them.

 

It’s the end of the night and the couples retire to their hotel rooms for the rest of the night. This will be the first time, they will be completely alone for the first time. Someone is definitely having sex on their wedding night. Given the drama on the season trailer, things are about to HEAT UP on the oncoming episodes.

Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Mama Drama

Margaret Josephs and Danielle Staub are at WAR on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The fallout from last week’s episode will likely last all season. It’s a bloodbath in the Garden State. Teresa Giudice is directly in the middle, and her friendship with Marge is in big jeopardy. Teresa’s somewhat blind loyalty to Danielle is mind boggling. What is she doing here? Why does she want to be her ally so badly?

It’s also only a matter of time before some of the other women have a falling out. For the most part everyone’s getting along right now. That’s going to change. It wouldn’t be Housewives if it wasn’t going to. It’s probably a safe bet that it’ll be Jennifer Aydin who finds herself at odds with someone. Will it be Jackie Goldschneider again? Although someone new would be more exciting. 

Melissa can’t believe that Teresa is going so hard to defend Danielle. I can’t either. What is she thinking? Also, throwing water on Jennifer to prove a point was so out of line. That’s just not how people should be behaving.

Melissa and Joe get the results of their fertility tests. Everything’s cool with Melissa, but Joe Gorga’s sperm count was super down. Naturally, Joe is Mr. Caveman so this hurt his pride. Even his kids found it hilarious. However, I don’t think Melissa and Joe have any plans on actually having another child. Just something to make her appear relevant for another season.

Margaret invites Jackie over to her house to talk about having a Mother’s Day drag brunch. What a fascinating concept. She’s so extra on so many levels. I love it though.

Margaret’s not inviting Teresa to this, which isn’t going to go over well. I get that Teresa’s friends with Danielle, but you have to let some s**t go. Why let something so petty ruin a longtime friendship?

Jackie’s inviting all of the women to The Hamptons, and she’s including Teresa. I kind of love this. She’s going to force Margaret and Teresa to be face to face. Obviously it could go seriously wrong, but they need to talk. I think without psycho Danielle in the room, they can reach common ground. Remove the toxicity from your life Teresa!

Teresa and Dolores Catania meet at the spa, and they want their kids to date. Gia already finds Frankie hot, so let it happen I guess. Jackie calls them to officially invite them to The Hamptons. How shady is Jackie though? She brings up the drag brunch and knows damn well that she’s not inviting Teresa. She’s like “oh I didn’t know”. That’s some actually bull right there. Jackie with some SNAKE moves.

Jackie is low key thirsty for the drama. She and Teresa may have “made up”, but she really enjoyed rubbing her exclusion it. Everything Jackie does comes across so calculated. She strikes at the right time every time. I thought I liked her last season, but she’s trying too hard this year. Simmer down girl.

Margaret’s drag brunch looks so fabulous. It looks very Alice in Wonderland with a drag twist. It’s everything I wold have expected and more from her.

Back at Teresa’s, her daughters prepare a delicious Mother’s Day meal and card that makes her cry. It’s really sad that Margaret wouldn’t just invite Teresa to her thing. It would’ve been such a time to bond and make up. Excluded someone from an event is kind of a big deal. That sends a POWERFUL message.

Joe Giudice calls and of course fights with Teresa again. The montage of how many times Joe said awful things about Teresa is kind of sad to watch. She took a lot of cruelty from him for years. She honestly would’ve walked away from that marriage years ago. Good riddance bro.

Jennifer’s mom looks so out of place at this event. Given her stance on the LGBTQ community, I wonder what’s going through her mind. I love Jennifer’s push to open up her mom’s views this season. She’s really coming through as an ally. Her daughter too!

This event reminds me of a Jersey version of something Lisa Vanderpump would do. If LVP was in Jersey, this is what I’d imagine I’d see. Drag queens and rosé. 

Margaret thinks that Teresa’s really changed since they’ve met. Teresa hasn’t really changed. Margaret just hasn’t seen it. The peace, calm, and tranquility Tre is a thing of the past. The Teresa of the past is back, and she’s ready to take down Marge.

Margaret and Marge Sr.’s relationship is so bizarre. She doesn’t sound like she was really a mother to her. She was more into the partying than she was being a mom. Ugh. So relatable. I feel that sooooo much. I love Marge. Sr regardless. She seems like someone I’d enjoy having a drink with and hearing her crazy stories.

Playing Melissa’s song during the drag performance was EVERYTHING. It’s such a vibe. Her music career didn’t really go anywhere, but I really do have that on my Spotify playlist. I’m not ashamed.

David Principe misses almost every event that the women have. He’s never really there for Dolores. This relationship is so blah. She tells him sometimes it’s better being his patient than his girlfriend. I don’t think he knows how to be in a healthy relationship. Dolores is never getting a commitment from this man.

I was right. Jennifer’s mother didn’t know that drag queen’s were men. What rock is this women living under? Even if you don’t support it, you should know what a drag queen is. Like what? Is she serious?

Jennifer confronts her mom about pretending like she doesn’t know her son is gay. She compares him being gay to having a sick child. Ugh. This is so backwards. Old fashioned sounds a lot like bigoted to me. It’s wild to me how much emotion comes from her mom over this. I didn’t realize in 2020 that people could still be so close minded.

Marge Sr. is moving. Look. I don’t want to be rude. However, he current apartment is a whole mess. Hoarders could do a full special on this. How does she even move in her apartment? She’s moving like really soon, but she has so much work to do. As much as it needs to be done, Margaret is being a little aggressive with her mother about it all. Like chill.

Jackie is rich bitch. She spends $50,000 a month on her Hampton house. That’s such an astronomical amount of money for a house you hardly use. I want to be THAT. I don’t know where that cash comes from, but I need it.

Teresa complains to Dolores about Joe and how the girls take his side. They definitely have a glamorized version of what their father is like. He’s been away for so long, so their vision is a little skewed. Joe is not the saint they’ve made him out to be in their minds. He’s actually kind of a super douche.

All of the sudden it looks like Jackie having money is going to be a storyline. Why though? What does it even matter? What’s even the entertainment value of that as a topic? Someone fill me in.

The moment Teresa enters the door, she brings up Margaret not inviting her to drag brunch. “Thank you for not inviting me”. Fighting words. Teresa doesn’t want the goodie bag Margaret brought for her. Teresa came in hot. I think the old Teresa will be joining us for the remainder of the season. FINALLY.
