Few Housewives have the ability to move past their respective franchises and shine on their own. But Kandi Burruss of Real Housewives of Atlanta has done it not just once, twice or even three times. Kandi has had FOUR, count them, four spin-offs. Since her debut on RHOA in 2009, Kandi quickly became a fan favorite that everyone was rooting for. She didn’t get caught up in the drama but she didn’t run away from it either. Remember her and her fabulous short hair telling NeNe Leakes to “bring it on down”? Now that was some classic RHOA.
Bravo producers clearly saw what Kandi was bringing to the table, handing her multiple stand alone spin-offs over the years. First there was The Kandi Factory in 2012, where Kandi discovered and developed new talent. Then there was a wedding special, which put her tumultuous relationship with now husband Todd Tucker and Mama Joyce on blast for the world to see. There was the forgettable Kandi’s Ski Trip and finally, Xscape: Still Kickin’ It, a four episode series about Kandi’s reunion with her R&B group Xscape.
Now Kandi is back at it with another spin-off in the works. BET is reporting that this time it will focus on her now-famous restaurant (and Todd-backed idea) Old Lady Gang. Kandi’s mother, Mama Joyce and two aunts, Nora and Bertha will be showing off their soul food skills and business acumen in the series.
The show is also set to feature the staff of the restaurant. Visions of SUR come to mind but I have faith that Kandi will make this into something uniquely her own.
While there is no word yet on which of the three restaurant locations will be featured on the show, production has already started and is humming along nicely. Sadly, there was a recent shooting at one of the locations but business seems to be back and better than ever.
Regardless of how the show does, The Old Lady Gang is famous in it’s own right, having received a number of awards for it’s renowned Southern cuisine.

Have you ever been in an on-again-off-again relationship? One of those situations where you break up and make up more times than you can count, a predicament that just never ends. This is how I feel when it comes to my (admittedly one-sided) relationships with Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson.
They were both so fun at first. Then, they got on my nerves. A lot. Eventually, I appreciated the drama they brought, despite my annoyance. Ultimately, I was just worn out by their antics and when they said that they left Real Housewives of Orange County I felt immediately relieved. But, then it hit me: who is going to cause all the drama if Vicki and Tamra are gone? The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, is it? Recently, Tamra and Vicki posted a not-at-all-subtle photo on Instagram WITH A CAMERA CREW. What in the world is going on? Are they back on Real Housewives of Orange County? I have so many mixed feelings.
Both Tamra and Vicki posted the same photo in their quest to get attention. In her caption, Tamra wrote “How’s your Sunday? #lifeafterhouswives.” What’s up with that hashtag? I thought Tamra and Vicki’s previous contracts prevented them from filming other reality TV shows. Did they get special permission from Bravo for a new project? Are they done being “Housewives” because they are “Friends of the Housewives” instead? Seriously though, what is going on?
Not only that, but Tamra did recently claim that Andy Cohen told her she would be back on Real Housewives of Orange County for Season 15 in some capacity. This is just so frustrating. Is she in? Or is she out? What is with all the confusion?
Vicki also used that “life after housewives” hashtag. Vicki wrote, “Just another Sunday night. #lifeafterhousives#cantkeepusdown #woohoo

On last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta Kenya Moore‘s marriage to Marc Daly officially exploded. Ironically at a charity event to raise up black men through positivity.
The only actual positive thing that happened last night was Eva Marcille‘s baby shower. Cynthia Bailey turned Eva’s friend Natalie’s backyard into a garden of paradise. It was a really lovely sunflower-themed event. Shockingly, everyone got along pretty well. Even Kenya and Nene Leakes!
Ever since Marc went over Kenya’s head to decree that NeNe is welcome in his circle, NeNe now feels she has some sort of trump card over Kenya. Nene has just been waiting for validation that she has extended multiple olive branches which Kenya has ignored. She sent multiple texts before filming started, for instance, but Kenya never responded. Obviously that’s cause NeNe has been on block! So has NeNe ever apologized for calling Kenya a buffalo while she was 9 months pregnant? Not that an insincere apology solves everything, as we will soon see with Tanya Sam and Kenya.
Since NeNe has no other friends on Real Housewives Of Atlanta she calls Wendy Williams, of all people, for advice on how to deal with Kenya. Wendy tells NeNe to continue to be the bigger person. Um, blind leading the blind there!
Inspired by the positivity of the party Kandi Burruss decides to have Kenya and Tanya sit down to try and work past things before the Black Man Lab fundraiser. Kenya is still being incredibly rude to Tanya. She even mocks her for having a fiancé, not a husband, and being childless. Well, now Kenya’s husband is gone with the wind (and rumor has it to another woman’s bed), and knowing Tanya’s struggles with infertility those types of comments are even more disgusting. This is why no one likes Krayonce: she’s not shady, she’s mean!
Nothing illustrated how many lightyears in terms of class and intelligence Tanya is beyond Kenya than this exchange. Kenya believes that since she issued a shady, completely insincere apology for calling Tanya out of her name thattheir issues should be over. Despite KENYA ambushing Tanya with Cookie Lady and a baseless claim that Paul Judge was cheating!
According to Kenya, this is all irrelevant, and they should come to Marc’s charity event, anyway, just to make Kenya look good. The only reason Kenya apologized in the first place was to cover her lie to Marc that she invited Tanya and Paul, who actually are a power couple on the Atlanta scene! If Marc really wanted them there, he would’ve reached out directly to Paul to explain the concept and why his presence would be appreciated.
Anyway, Tanya explains to Kenya that trotting out Cookie Lady wasn’t an insult against her, it was an insult against Paul, therefore she doesn’t think he’d want to come to an event supporting Kenya. Furthermore, it’s abundantly clear that Kenya seems to think implying that Paul is cheating also implies that Tanya is a subpar woman who can’t satisfy her man, instead of it meaning that Paul is just an asshole. Ironically, Kenya is the one whose actually in this position! I mean in the very next scene Kenya sits down with Cynthia to tell her that a good man doesn’t cheat or lie, so she should really think carefully about trusting Mike Hill given his past. This is all solid advice, but Kenya was just implying to Tanya that a man only cheats because he’s unhappy at home.
In each of these cases, Kenya is projecting. Marc isn’t happy, and looks elsewhere. He treats ‘Ken‘ like a personal assistant. Kenya brags that she planned the entire charity event from arranging the venue, the catering, the party planner, the entertainment, the auction, etc. This is Marc’s ‘debut’ on the Atlanta scene and Kenya wants to present herself as Mrs. Daly, the exalted and respected wife, but Marc expects her to be ‘Ken’ the subservient concubine.
After doing all this work, the day of the party Marc announces that Kenya was supposed to choose his outfit. So runs around securing a suit that corresponds with her dress, then Marc complains about everything she’s selected and blames her for not being more organized. Kenya took so much time catering to Marc she doesn’t have time to get her own glam done and is late to her own event, which Marc also lectures her about. Kenya is trying way too hard for this wifely image and what she thinks a wife is. It’s super sad that she has spent so much time focusing on letting marriage define her as a woman.
It appears that Marc literally prepared NOTHING for his own event – including reach out to the speakers! He wants Mike Sterling to speak, but didn’t bother to connect with him beforehand. Mike is blindsided upon arrival and pressured into making an impromptu speech about being adopted as a child. Mike was a class-act, whereas Marc’s handling of this was awkward, embarrassing, rude, and unprofessional.
Even worse when Marc arrives – late, himself – instead of greeting CHill, he ignores them to run around hugging other people. Even though Mike is the co-host, who flew out from LA specifically to support this! Cynthia is shocked and offended. Marc’s arrogance, combined with everything Kenya has told her about him – including the red flags she wish she’d heeded when they first met – has made Cynthia realize that Marc is not a good guy. He certainly doesn’t care about Kenya! It’s evidenced when Marc doesn’t mention his wife at all in his opening speech, or recognize all her hard work organizing this event. In fact he barely acknowledge her presence all evening.
And for all Kenya’s preening about being ‘Mrs. Daly,’ the disorganization of this event perfectly parallels how fractured their own marriage is. Marc messed with the seating chart without informing her, thus ruining Kenya’s carefully shaded plans to put all the people she doesn’t like at a table in the back. (Also it looked like a child had written out the place cards.) This creates chaos and irritation during arrivals, as the greeters have a completely different list of where to direct people that doesn’t correspond with the actual place cards.
The timing for is also a mess. Either people arrived super late, or they had a very tight timeline for the venue rental, or they just didn’t pad in enough cocktail hour, because it appeared people were sitting down to dinner moments after they walked in, which meant guests were still strolling in after the speeches began.
Kenya’s dream of being a Jr. League queen are not panning out, and obviously she has never organized a philanthropy gala of this magnitude. She should’ve consulted one of the Real Housewives Of Dallas or Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills for advice. Instead she is listening to Marc, who tells her she can’t get up from the table until she cleans her plate. Clearly he’s never attended an event where the hostess is needed to oversee the details. Was Patrica Altschul not available for consultation here? She’s only one state away!
Tanya did not even tell Paul about the event, and instead she just came as Porsha Williams‘ third wheel. Even though Shamea Morton wasn’t able to attend, Kenya still wouldn’t let Tanya sit at Shamea’s empty assigned seat, next to Porsha, and instead moved her all the way to the corner, on her own. Luckily Tanya is an adult and a pro, so she can handle herself with dignity – slights and all. Porsha is shocked by the way Kenya is continually targeting Tanya, but I’m not. Kenya is 100% jealous. She knows Paul never messed around Stale Cookie Crumbles – she just wanted to knock Tanya down with that accusation.
Kenya displayed even worse hostess behavior when Marlo Hampton arrived with her nephews, whom she brought because they are exactly the young men who could benefit from mentorship from other successful black men. Yes, ABSOLUTELY Marlo should’ve informed Kenya in advance that she was bringing additional guests, but these things always happen at large-scale events and instead of handing it with dignity, Kenya hisses that Marlo’s seats are in the back, then sits down to resume her dinner. It is Cynthia, Eva and Porsha who see Marlo leaving and escort her to her seats at a table directly behind them.
Kenya is furious that Marlo didn’t pay for the 2 extra tickets, and didn’t even pay the $250 for her own (BECUSE BRAVO DID – duh). She’s even more irritated that she has to move seats to accommodate the two boys whom she should be welcoming! Marc, meanwhile, is thrilled that Marlo brought her nephews. Marlo and Kenya may clean up well, but they are still Housewives not housewives. Which means class is a thing they failed at school, not an attitude, so they both try to drag Marc into their petty squabble. Marlo tries to imply to him that Kenya had no seat prepared for her, and he ignores her. Then as Kenya is bitching about it to Kandi, Marc interjects that it doesn’t matter.
In the middle of all this NeNe arrives, late, just before Gregg has to speak, and Marc is far more attentive to her than he is to Kenya! Which of course NeNe loves.
As the event winds down, so too does the simmering facade of Ken and Marc’s marriage. Marc is overheard telling a reporter – or a bravo cameraman? – that he hates being married. He then storms off to the back to meet someone else’s wife and screams that the cameras are invasive. He wants them shut down NOW! Marc swears that this is the last time he’ll appear on film. Did something happen that we missed? Because it sure seems like we aren’t getting the full story of what lead to Marc’s meltdown?
As Marc disappears, Kenya stays put; awaiting his instructions. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem that he ever returns because we learn that the very next day the couple each put out their own statement announcing their divorce.
Next week all the ladies head to Greece, where Kenya turns to Kandi and Cynthia for support and expects the other women to respect her privacy.

Lately it seems like it’s impossible to have any Vanderpump Rules content without a wedding being discussed. Between Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s nuptials to Lala Kent and Randall Emmett’s upcoming day, it’s like everyone has suddenly decided that getting married is the thing to do. Even Stassi Schroeder got engaged last year. Not that anyone cares what I think but personally, I’m not here for all the wedding story lines. I like my Vanderpump Rules as God intended it: a bunch of drunken kids going out, fighting and all sleeping with each other. If I wanted to see weddings in my reality shows, I would just change the channel and find them. But enough about me.
Lala and Randall have been engaged for some time now, so it’s only natural that Lala has some upcoming wedding events to keep her and her friends busy. One of those such events is her bridal shower. But much like everything else she does, Lala is planning on doing it her way.
Unlike Brittany’s very traditional shower, Lala is going a different route, deciding that she’s asking for donations to the Humane Society rather than bridal shower gifts. Lala has long been a champion of animal rights so this isn’t a surprise. What is surprising is that she didn’t ask for those donations to be sent to Vanderpump Dogs, right?
Lala is clearly excited about her big day, regularly posting to her Instagram how happy she is to become Mrs. Emmett. One post she shared is an image of the two, her standing on a ladder in a wedding dress (very Carrie Bradshaw) while Randall gazes at her from a Director’s chair.
Lala captioned it, “You’re the love of my life. I love the way you hug me. I love the way you build me up. I love the way we bicker. I love the way we make up. I cant wait to be your wife. Thank you for your vision.”
In another image shared, this time of her bridal shower invite, a small note at the bottom reads: “In lieu of gifts please donate to the Humane Society of Utah.” The ask is not only an homage to Lala’s home state but to her dedication to helping animals in need.
Now this is a wedding story line I can get behind.

When it comes to Housewives we can’t seem to get rid of, the first person who comes to my mind is Danielle Staub. Ever since she first graced the screen on Real Housewives of New Jersey, she has held on for dear life. Even when she was demoted to a “friend,” Danielle made sure every scene she was in was all about her. Who could forget her whining over and over about her wedding for all of last season? You know, the wedding that lasted longer than her actual marriage.
Part of why Danielle is so entrenched in RHONJ is her ability to have longstanding feuds with a main Housewife. For years, it was OG Teresa Giudice. Once they finally made up in what could only be described as a story line of extreme convenience, she moved on to a feud with Margaret Josephs. Things really went sour when Margaret didn’t roll over and kiss Danielle’s ring over the whole wedding. It just went downhill from there. So downhill that it culminated in an epic showdown of water being thrown, ponytails being pulled and purses being dumped, all while the rest of the cast chugged sipped and wished they could just get back to buying $600 candles.
Instead of feeling some kind of remorse for inflicting physical violence on someone else, Danielle, true to form, is doubling down with her evil self. In a recent article by TooFab, Danielle does some major revealing about her thoughts on what went down and how she feels about it. And it’s a doozy. When asked on Bravo’s “RHONJ After Show” why she thought Teresa egged her on to yank Margaret’s ponytail, Danielle said, “I don’t know. I don’t wanna do what they do. I don’t wanna pretend to know what anyone’s thinking when they say stuff. And that’s my only regret, is that she had to tell me to do it. It felt good.”
She continued, “All this time, I thought that I’d be mortified when I saw it play out.” But instead admitting, “Total opposite! And I am not a violent person. And again, remember, and she knew this, I come from a long history, from very early in my childhood, of abuse. I’ve been everything, every form of abuse. There’s only so much a person’s gonna take before they just start to push back. And I did. And I don’t remember, I saw red. My only regret is not doing it sooner! And having somebody tell me to do it.”
Let us not forget the shop owner lurking in the background, who Danielle says came up with the idea in the first place, “I can’t speak for Steven. I can say Steven’s just a great guy, and I feel really bad that Margaret was even invited that day, because not for nothing, she doesn’t shop there. She couldn’t afford to.” As if Danielle could.
As seen in the season finale, the shop owner wasn’t the only one who was behind the idea to pull ponytails. It was revealed that Teresa was in on it too. When asked if she and Teresa ever had a conversation about keeping quiet about Teresa’s role in the whole thing, Danielle said she didn’t think a conversation needed to be had. “No, it’s not something — I just hold people’s stuff,” Danielle explained. “I hold it. I carry it, and it’s f–king heavy. And I’m not gonna do it anymore.”
Danielle continued, “So I could really care less what people tell me to do. I’m gonna do it my way and in my time, and I was just done holding it. It’s not something bad! It’s not like I said something terrible about Teresa! I’m the one that did it! So I was kinda shocked that the reaction was the way it was. I mean, if I had given away a secret like, oh Teresa had sex with somebody, like she did about me, I can see getting mad about that.”
She goes on to defend Teresa, despite throwing her under the bus during her conversation with Melissa Gorga. Danielle says,“But listen, I’ve forgiven Teresa for so much,” she went on, “So much. So much worse than that. She called me a prostitution whore in front of my children, flipped a table at me. If I wasn’t important enough to her to forgive me, which, I shouldn’t have even needed forgiveness. It should’ve just been understanding. Like, so big deal? Danielle said it, I did it. That’s all she would’ve had to say. The fact that things have panned out the way they have, it was just an agenda.”
Only someone as warped as Danielle would be mad that she didn’t get the true credit she deserved for physical violence. This only furthers my theory that Danielle would do anything to stay relevant to the show.
Too bad for Danielle that it didn’t work this time.

You would think anyone who is cast on 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days has seen this show in the past. If that is true, I am having a hard time understanding how they keep finding such naive and desperate people to participate. Have these people learned nothing! There are some who have relationship issues that may have a chance. There are others that are basically walking around with rose-colored glasses on during an apocalypse.
Darcey Silva tries to decode mixed messages from Tom Brooks. Yolanda has a confusing conversation with Williams. Geoffrey begins his journey to Russia. Avery seeks her parent’s approval and Lisa‘s friends are concerned for her safety. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance recap!
Their backkkkkkkkkk! Viewers should already be familiar with Darcey, who has already been around the 90 Day Fiance block a couple of times. First, she appeared on the show with her younger ex, Jesse Meester, and now with Tom.
Both Tom and Darcey previously appeared on season 3 of Before the 90 Days. The crazy couple faced many ups and downs throughout their relationship and ended the season on uncertain terms. Darcey is famous for her meltdowns and being thirsty to get married. Now, she is back for another shot at love.
I see the only thing that has changed since we last saw Darcey is more lip fillers and self- tanner. Tom is still basically avoiding her and she still wants attention. Even her own twin sister, Stacey, wishes she would just move on.
Tom video calls Darcey after not speaking to her for quite some time. He informs her he will be in New York for a meeting and would like to see her. Darcey is fearful he may be coming to break up with her in person. When Tom attempts to rush off the call, Darcey tells him she isn’t sure if she will be available. Girl… we all know you will be at that meeting with bells on to see Tom.
Lisa is headed to Nigeria in just a few days to finally see her man, Usman. It’s obvious when they video call him she is still extremely insecure about his career and his fans. Lisa demands that when she arrives that he completely focus on her throughout her trip. Good luck with that! She is also nervous that Usman’s mother may not give her blessing for them to be married.
Lisa meets with friends to discuss her upcoming trip to Nigeria. The first question is why an established entertainer would want to leave that behind too come to America. During the conversation, she shares her disappointment that a Nigerian woman was his leading lady in the song that was supposedly written for her. Insert side-eye emoji. Chile, please! It was a love song that could be about anybody. Lisa insists that she and Usman are soul mates and won’t listen to anything her friends say that contradicts that claim.
Lisa’s friends stop by to bring her some condoms before her trip. She makes it clear that she will not be using them. SMH! On the way to the airport, her friends inquire whether Usman and his male roommates could be scam artists aka “yahoo boys”. Does this woman have no fear? I hope she is staying at a hotel. There is no way in hell I would stay anywhere with several men I don’t know.
Ed is planning to go to the Philippines in a few days. He is totally shocked when he learns from a coworker the living conditions he will probably endure during his trip. But that isn’t the biggest shocker, Rose’s sister reached out to him asking for money. He fears that his new love may be involved and they could be attempting to take advantage of him. Umm…. Duh!
Why would Rose’s sister think it’s appropriate to ask a man her sister has only talked to for 3 months for money? Ed, if this is happening after a few months, you will be sending money every week to the entire family very soon. The mayo he puts on his hair must be going to his brain he doesn’t see the set up here.
Ed’s friend comes to visit him as he packs for his trip to the Philippines. He literally has packed everything under the sun, including an engagement ring. He is extremely nervous about finally meeting Rose in person. He has been hiding not only his height, but the fact that he doesn’t want any more kids. Apparently, Rose, a single mother of a son wants another child when they get married.
Ed calls his daughter before he gets on the plane for his big trip. It broke my heart seeing him tearfully creating a video message for his daughter. She calls him back to say “safe travels”, which is their custom before any trip. Hopefully, these two will be able to work things out when he returns to the states. I understand Ed’s desire to be in a relationship. He hasn’t been with a woman in 28 years! I can also understand how his daughter is disgusted by his relationship with a much younger woman in another country. The whole thing gives me creep vibes.
Avery and Ash have a conversation about their future. She has doubts about whether he is truly genuine or just tells her what she wants to hear. She will definitely find out when she travels to Australia to meet Ash and his son in person. I have a feeling things aren’t going to go as planned on this trip. Avery, there is a reason your intuition is telling you not to trust him. I guess we will just have to wait and see if her senses are correct.
Avery confesses to her family she is in a long-distance relationship with a man she never met. Everything was going well until she reveals her plan to go to Australia for 2 weeks to meet Ash. Naturally, they are concerned for her safety as a woman traveling alone to another country to see someone who is virtually a stranger.
Yolanda discovers when talking with her daughter that she isn’t sure which airport she should fly into when she visits her boyfriend, Williams. When she calls to get the name of the airport, he rushes off the phone. He then sends confusing texts that don’t give a real location or airport. Girl, are you serious!? This guy has all the signs of a catfish. He doesn’t even seem to want to speak with you on the phone, let alone see you in person.
Okay, Yolanda, girl, you can’t be this naive. This woman wants love so desperately; she is willing to ignore HUGE red flags. What is sad is she wants to bring her daughter along on this wild goose chase throwing caution and common sense to the wind. Even her daughter is alarmed by the call she witnessed and the fact Williams couldn’t give them basic information.
Varya meets with her girlfriends who all think she is cray for meeting Geoffrey alone for the first time. They manage to convince her to at least not to stay in the hotel with a man she barely knows.
Little does she know there is a lot more to Geoffrey than she’s heard so far. He has neglected mention his criminal record and time in prison. When he arrives in Moscow, the two share a huge hug and tears of joy. But things get awkward quickly when they attempt to make small talk. The vibe is definitely off with these two. I’m not sure if Geoffrey is just nervous about his secrets or doesn’t have any game.
