On tonight’s Southern Charm, Landon throws herself a party to show all of her friends that her travel website ROAM was a real thing, and was ready to launch, only to have an unlikely source take the proverbial wind out of her sails. Landon’s former crush, Shep Rose shows up at the party, only to take Landon aside, and ask her if she said some snobby, pretentious things to the friends of his with a real online business, that Landon dismissed as unprofessional. And instead of a mea culpa for acting badly, Landon steps outside her sweet persona, and tells Shep to go f**k himself, and leaves her own party.
Fast forward six months, and Kathryn Dennis has quite a few things to say about Landon, who last week said Kathryn went to a certain rehab facility to “find her next victim,” and “meet wealthy men.”
“Obviously, I wasn’t invited to the party,” says Kathryn. “But considering that there has never been anything on the site for the public to access, I think the party was a fraud, to try and convince Thomas, or other ‘wealthy men’ that Landon actually had a business, or a least a job.”

For a while, when you would access Landon’s site, there was a place where you could enter an email address to find out when the website ROAM would be up and running, but now, even the landing page is gone when you go to Landon’s ROAM address.
Kathryn says that Shep, and Southern Charm fans now have finally gotten to hear the way Landon really talks, saying to Shep’s friends that she goes through life having others pay for her, and she isn’t looking to rub elbows with millionaires, but rather, billionaires.
And Kathryn also believes that there was no way that Shep would have ever thrown Landon under the bus, or embarrass her so publicly if he didn’t know it was really true that Landon spoke so harshly and in such a snobby manner to Shep’s friends.
“Shep is not that guy,” says Kathryn. “If he wasn’t 100% sure that Landon acted that way, he would have never said a word. And even when he did, I thought he did it nicely, and Landon flipped out.”

But Kathryn said she thinks the real reason Landon threw herself a party, along with her “interns” was to start reeling in Thomas, who thought the show Landon put on was amazing.
“It seemed to me that Landon never intended to create a business, but rather to make it look like she was working on something,” Kathryn explains, “Why else would it never have evolved past a landing page? She’s had over a year!”

Kathryn says she was shocked last week when Landon made accusations about where and why she went to rehab, suggesting that she went to California, to a well known facility to meet men.
“First of all, who wants to meet a man in rehab?” she says. “That might be a plan that Landon comes up with, but it sounds pretty dumb to me. Also, it was my mother who chose the place, made the arrangements, and took me to the airport. Me and my family were only concerned with getting me back on the right track.”
So far, Landon has not made a public statement about what happened to ROAM, and why it never got past the landing page stage. Kathryn says she doesn’t really understand why Landon would start throwing stones on the first episode of season four of Southern Charm, knowing that there wasn’t any substance to her business.
Kathryn also says she wonders why everyone piled on Craig for being dishonest about his professional life, but Landon gets a pass?

We could give you a lot of reasons that Netflix's newest series is one to watch. 13 Reasons Why is a beautiful, devastating portrayal of teenagers dealing with everything from love...I feel like the Southern Charm cast is the most random grouping of friends on reality TV, but it does work somehow. I’ve been captivated by this show since the very beginning. And now that the new season has started airing, Shep Rose is sharing his opinions about all the relevant plot points.
Shep discussed the aftermath of that awkward (and I think contrived) love confession from Landon Clements, his friendship status with Craig Conover, and his opinions on the never-ending saga between Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel.

Shep stopped by Bravo’s The Daily Dish podcast to open up about the season. And no matter how much (most of) the cast members don’t want to talk about Kathryn, the truth is that she is the one who makes this show interesting to watch, so she’s bound to come up as the topic of conversation in every interview.
Shep has always been a Kathryn supporter so it’s not surprising that he said, “It’s not exactly the most favorable story you would want to have out there about yourself, is it? But she’s pretty raw about it. She owns it. Good for her.”
And of course, Shep discussed his ongoing issues with Craig. Their back and forth critiques seems like a pot, meet kettle situation, but whatever, the tension makes for great TV. Shep declared, “He just would be so better-served if he looked me in the eye and was like, ‘I didn’t graduate law school, that’s why I can’t take the bar, and I’m working on it,’ I would be like ‘Okay, thank you. Where do we go from here?'”
It’s hard to tell where these two stand, but Shep did say, “We’re friends. We’re no doubt friends, but you know you just lose credibility. I’m not gonna not like you, but I’m just gonna take everything you say with a boulder of salt. Which I would like not to have to do, but I do it.”
When Shep and the podcast hosts were discussing the last season ending with that accusation about Landon and Thomas sleeping together, Shep said exactly what I was thinking when I first watched the episode: “What a funny ending. I thought that was fantastic.” I know I was living for it.
So what does he think about their compatibility? He didn’t have a ton of insight, but he did say, “I don’t know. They both can sort of go on and on about what they’re up to, so maybe they’d be a good match.” I also couldn’t help laughing when Shep added, “You know, she likes horses. He has the farm with the horses.” That sounds like an ideal match to me, but I really just want these two to get together (officially) for the drama.
And of course the conversation came back to the real star of this show- Kathryn. Shep declared, “Kathryn has a tremendous following on Bravo and my theory is that there’s a large swath of the viewing public on Bravo that are scorned women and Kathryn is their patron saint. Think about it, she was a with a powerful, older man and had two kids, did not get the ring, not the best situation for her, so I think women sit at home like ‘Ah shit. I’m with her.’ So I think that that’s a thing.” Plus, she is the only one on this show who provides consistent entertainment. All of the offense intended, but there are a lot of boring people in this main cast.
Once again, Shep was reading my mind when he declared, “I think that Thomas gets a free pass too often in some of his antics. He’s always invited to this and that and she’s not and I don’t think that’s fair.” Sure, aside from Shep and Craig, most of these people aren’t friends with Kathryn, but she does make the show interesting, so if I was in the cast, I would invite her to every event I possibly could. Shep added, “I don’t think it’s always her fault. She doesn’t really get a voice in the group sometimes and I think that’s unfair.”
Then things got super interesting when Shep was asked if things were awkward between he and Landon after she professed her “love” for him. He confessed, “We frankly are not terribly close at the moment. Because of that? No. Some other stuff. Nothing romantic.” Oh. I am intrigued!
He vaguely explained, “We just sort of like pissed each other off last summer and you know, I mean I can be kind of a son of a bitch sometimes, but she’s not without blame on our current relationship status. So we’ll always have the base, we’ve known each other for a long time, and we’ll always be friends, but right now things aren’t perfect between us, I would say.” But why? Shep doesn’t really say, but he did confirm that we will get to see this play out during the season. Finally- Landon actually has a story line!
Shep also said, “[Landon] like adopts Austen [Kroll] and calls him ‘My new Shep.’ Well, the crazy thing is he’s sort of with Chelsea [Meissner], but they’re clearly chumming it up, and it’s gonna be like ‘Oh no.’ It’s gonna be good. The season’s good like that. There’s little stuff going on where you’re like ‘Uh oh.'” I cannot wait to see how that goes.
Tonight is an all new episode of Southern Charm. Bravo tells us what to expect tonight: “As Cameran gets a sneak peek at motherhood, Kathryn’s trip to Malibu proved to be more than just sun bathing and surfing. Meanwhile, Shep confronts Craig once again about the true nature of his legal career, but leaves their friendship on the field. I have been watching Vanderpump Rules since the beginning and I can’t believe that I’m at a point where I am waiting for Kristen Doute to come on screen. She has done some questionable things (I won’t recap, but if you are dedicated, you are in the know), but she has moved past that and owned it all. She is the most fun person in the cast and she is the most honest. Love her or hate her, at least she’s speaking truth instead of trying to control image… like some of the other cast members reaching for a story line.
Unfortunately, Kristen‘s truth includes dating James Kennedy, who may or may not have used her to get a spot on this show. She started out the show dating Tom Sandoval, which seems like a lifetime ago…until Kristen shades him or calls him out for something during that time period. Now Kristen is in a stable relationship with Brian Carter, and it seems like Crazy Kristen is no more.

Kristen opened up about all three of her already-public relationships during an interview with Annabelle Desisto on her Adderall and Compliments podcast. First off, you actually need to listen to the whole podcast because they discuss their lives and other reality shows and it’s hilarious, but I am just gonna highlight the juiciest tidbits.
Kristen and Annabelle discussed Bravo super fan Chrissy Teigen which led to a discussion about James. Kristen declared, “She’s just awesome. The fact that she’s a fan of James Kennedy though is the part that ruins it for me even though it’s just all in good fun of television. She gave him the mazel and the jackhole of the year on Watch What Happens Live.” I actually thought that was hilarious, but Kristen feels, “It just gives him so much attention.” And it’s not like he is in dire need of a self-esteem boost.
Kristen and Annabelle discussed the etiquette for taking back gifts after a breakup. Personally, I didn’t think this was even a thing, unless the “gift” was an engagement ring, but apparently it is. Kristen admitted, “I have in fact asked for gifts back before and that’s because I was a scorned woman when Tom number two (I laughed out loud at her referring to him by this moniker) broke up with me many, many years ago. I was really pissed off because he kicked me out of our apartment and I was like ‘Hey go fuck yourself. You took the silverware and the light bulbs, I want the guitar back that I bought you that I couldn’t afford to purchase myself and I want the iPad that I bought you that I don’t even have one at this point because I’m a really nice girlfriend.'” How could Tom “steal” light bulbs if he just remained in the apartment that he shared? Was she planning to unscrew the light bulbs or something?
Kristen recalled, “I did request for those things back and he looked at me- as he should have- and was like ‘Those are presents you bought be a really long time ago. You want them back as like collateral or something? I don’t get it.’ I did not get those said gifts back, but I did erase the iPad and that felt good enough for me.” At least Kristen could admit that she was wrong… up until that part about erasing the iPad, but it could have been much worse during the Crazy Kristen era. Tom got it easy.
Annabelle complimented Kristen for being a very generous friend- a side of Kristen, that doesn’t get much time on the show. Kristen explained, “Ariana’s [Ariana Madix] braid and Tom’s braids mean more than showing that we are actually good people.”
The conversation moved to Adult Friend Finder users. First of all, I had no idea what that even was so I wasn’t really following. This was until I paused the podcast for a Google search after Kristen admitted, “I know what Adult Friend Finder is because my ex boyfriend was on Friend Finder and I hacked into that shit too.” Annabelle asked her to name the ex and Kristen said, “Tom Sandoval. Totally calling it out too. Don’t Care. How I realized he was on it was through a separate email address. I ninety nine percent don’t think anything came of it, but I definitely caught him chatting people up.” I don’t know what’s weirder about that whole statement, the fact that Tom was (allegedly) a member on this site or the extent of Kristen’s investigation. The woman is THOROUGH.
Not only is Kristen a thorough boyfriend investigator, but she is so open about it so I can’t help wondering how Carter feels. Annabelle asked Kristen if she’s ever broken into Carter’s phone and surprisingly she said, “No I have not.” Apparently he does give her access to his phone since she also said, “I don’t know his social media passwords, but I wouldn’t need them being on his phone. I’m not worried about it. We live together.” She also lived with Sandoval…
Speaking of which, Kristen said, “There were definitely times within our long relationship that I did go through his phone and didn’t find anything, but it made me act differently because I had guilt.” Once again, that Sandoval relationship seems like it happened a lifetime ago. Things seem different with Carter though since Kristen revealed, “He knows my passwords. I don’t care.” Oh Kristen.
Speaking of social media issues, Kristen revealed, “I have self-esteem issues because I am the least-followed person on Instagram on Vanderpump Rules. I mean other than the people that don’t matter, but on the primary cast. Brittany [Cartwright] is only twenty or thirty thousand people behind me and I’ve been on the show three years longer than she has.” I follow you, Kristen! Judge me, readers. I don’t care.
This is a little off topic from the boyfriends topic, but she revealed that Jax Taylor fronted the payment for her puppy that she bought when she was wasted and I love her for this. Kristen recalled, “Jax and Brittany were getting a puppy and the neighbor brought over the two boys left in the litter because the girls were all gone. She was like ‘This was an unexpected litter. I can’t have any more dogs.’ and Brittany and Jax they were looking at these two dogs. I was really drunk- again- and I’m like ‘Oh my god. I want this one. Jax, do you have your checkbook? I’ll Venmo you’ and that was the story of Gibson.” Usually when I’m drunk I buy pizza or some Taco Bell. Clearly, I need to step up my game.
I can also relate to Kristen’s Southern Charm fandom. She admitted, “I have now watched all of them.” Not only that, but she also gets to be friends with them. She said, ” I’ve hung out with Naomi [Olindo], Craig [Conover], and Dani [Baird] and I love them.” And she added, ” I met Whitney [Sudler Smith] once- I’ll leave it at that. He’s a very talented musician. We text once in a while.” What did that mean- the “I’ll leave it at that” part? If Kristen has a good story about Whitney, we would love to hear it.
In another random reality TV crossover, Kristen discussed former Dance Moms lead Abby Lee Miller. She recalled, “I actually waited on her one time and she was not kind to me. She was very dismissive. Don’t dismiss me unless you’re a Kardashian and I don’t think that Khloe [Kardashian] would never dismiss me. I don’t know if I’d ever get close enough to her to have her dismiss me.” I wonder if Khloe watches Vanderpump Rules.

Phaedra Parks‘ divorce has blown up in her face, and now rumors are circulating that she was fired from Real Housewives Of Atlanta over explosive lies against former BFF Kandi Burruss.
The reunion will reportedly expose Phaedra as being the source behind Porsha Williams‘s claims that Kandi is a lesbian, and that Phaedra encouraged Porsha to make the “date rape” accusation. As a result Phaedra has not being given a “renewal contract” for season 10. Contracts were allegedly already sent last week. (seems a bit earlier than the usual)
Phaedra tried to blame the rumors on former Executive Producer Carlos King (Carlos supposedly had a professional beef with Todd Tucker over a reality show on another network and apparently this manifested into a vendetta against Kandi). Kandi has obviously been was VERY, VERY unhappy with her storyline this season. So upset that Carlos was also reportedly fired, and won’t be returning next season.

NeNe Leakes also had a ton of issues with Carlos. He was reportedly one of the major reasons she left RHOA, and she lobbied to get him removed from the show. Kandi’s issues with Carlos may have had something to do with NeNe and Kandi making peace.

Anyway, a production source told the blog Love B Scott, that last week the entire cast was offered new contracts except for Phaedra. “She got caught in so many treacherous lies this season that even the producers (including Andy Cohen) have had enough. She even brought ‘fake’ divorce papers to the reunion to prove a point. No one knows whether she’s telling the truth about anything anymore.”
Per the source, once Phaedra’s “lies” about Kandi turned into to a legal issue between Kandi, Phaedra, and Porsha, the network decided Phaedra wasn’t worth the hassle.
Interesting. First off Kenya Moore has a close relationship with this blog. Secondly, I find it VERY hard to believe they would keep Porsha, but fire Phaedra? Even if Phaedra did convince Porsha that Kandi is a lesbian, etc. Porsha is a grown woman who made her own decision to repeat those things on camera.
Thirdly, Phaedra was actually legally divorced, but it was reversed (after reunion wrapped). Apollo contested the divorce. Rumor has it Apollo is contesting only because he wants to get money out of Phaedra, which is why it took so long to settle in the first place. Furthermore, I think all parties on RHOA, including Kandi and Phaedra, have been plenty shady to each other, with dredging up legal issues.

However RHOA desperately needs a shake-up! I personally, would have let go of Kenya, Cynthia, and Porsha, but Phaedra has seemed checked-out the last couple seasons and it probably is time for her to leave and focus on politics. Love B Scott points to proof of Phaedra’s firing that she’s removed RHOA from her Instagram and Twitter handles. I don’t know what was on there before, so I can’t say either way.
The site’s source also says Cynthia Bailey will return as a full-time Housewife (WHY?!), and that NeNe and Kim Zolciak will also be back as “friends.”
Phaedra, of course, denied being fired, with her reps telling multiple outlets that the rumor is “untrue.”

Part 1, which airs Easter Sunday, April 16, will be all about Kenya and Sheree arguing over their uncompleted homes. Meanwhile Phaedra and Kenya confront their ever topsy-turvy frenemy status and discuss whether or not they can try – one more time – to forgive each other (Magic Hate Ball Says: “Signs Point To Bitch Please…”) And finally the first episode ends with Porsha defending her anger management to Kandi and Kenya.

Part 2, which airs Sunday, April 23, the ladies focus on their complicated romantic relationships. Kenya discusses the status of things with Matt; Phaedra provides “proof” of her divorce proceedings from Apollo, and explains why things are contentious. Sheree opens up about her marriage to Bob – and accuses Kenya of being a meddler.
Part 3 airs Sunday, April 3oth, and brings the men to the stage. Goody. Bob (and his beard!) is forced confront his treatment of Sheree, Todd still has issues with Phaedra, and Cynthia and Peter talk about their divorce. Then Shamea joins the group to confront her ex-BFF Porsha, and deny Phaedra’s claims that she and Kandi hooked up.
And finally, Part 4, which airs Sunday May 7, will tackle “Lesbiangate” – because Bravo loves to save the worst best for last! As part of trying to determine what happened, cameras will show behind-the-scene footage, and new moments, that show the women trying to work through the painful situation.
HOLY COW – does part 4 look dramatic! There’s two walk-offs, what looks like an almost-fight, and hysterical hyperventilating, crying. Plus Krayonce being extra!

The Vanderpump Rules star and his girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright, have headed south to highlight the old fish-out-of-water routine in their upcoming Bravo series, Vanderpump Rules: Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky.
The series will follow the couple to Brittany’s family farm, where she’ll force Jax to do chores in overalls. (Snort!) Will she force him to marry her though? According to series teasers, maybe so. To hell with Katie Maloney’s whimsical woodland wedding – we might be getting a real life backwoods wedding courtesy of Jax and Brittany all too soon!

Bravo’s Daily Dish describes the series as a mix of Jax being Jax around the farm – and in the bars – where he gets grilled by Brittany’s relatives, who straight up ask him when he plans to marry their beloved Brittany. Perhaps too afraid to fight back, or indeed ready for marriage, Jax surprisingly reveals, “I want to get married and I want to get married soon.”
The longtime Lothario and occasional villain of Vanderpump Rules, Jax seems to have settled down a bit the past two seasons – a change that some attribute to his (allegedly) monogamous relationship with Brittany. He’s also been angling for a spinoff for ages, according to online chatter, so perhaps this relationship has paid off in more ways than one.
Or maybe Jax is just trying to put a few states between him and James Kennedy? In any case, it’s a win-win-win!

All does not go smoothly on the series, however, as Bravo dishes that Brittany starts crying at one point over Jax’s ongoing, tiresome immaturity. “You’re an old man and you need to act your age,” she rails at him, channeling nearly every viewer who’s witnessed Jax’s antics on TV.
Whether Jax rises to the challenge of church-going and pig-wrangling while staying with Brittany’s conservative family, or whether he runs back to the spray tans and nose surgeries of LA is still a question mark. One request: Please let Brittany have 5 very large brothers. And please let them be avid viewers of Vanderpump Rules. 
Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky is slated to air this summer on Bravo, though no premiere date has been set.

I still can’t believe that Sheree Whitfield’s mansion is finally “finished.” Sure, that last word is debatable, but we all have to agree that the house did look gorgeous (for the most part). Plus, the Chateau Sheree housewarming party brought some great drama to finish out the Real Housewives of Atlanta season… before the reunion. So obviously Sheree had a lot to say about it during her Watch What Happens Live appearance last night.
Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant also stopped by to throw some shade at her costars and to react to the Atlanta antics as well. Not only that, but Sheree’s son Kairo Whitfield provided some eye candy as a bartender and answered a lot of questions as well.

This kid is really on his game. He also commented on his mom finally finishing Chateau Sheree. He said, “Very proud. It took a while to get there, but I’m very proud.” Aaawww.
I am still struggling to get into the Potomac drama, but Gizelle was serving up some delicious shade during this Watch What Happens Live episode. Andy asked Gizelle if she was surprised to see Robyn Dixon and Karen Huger discussing her feud with Charrisse Jackson-Jordan and Gizelle responded, “No because actually Robyn and I already talked about it and Karen was just being extra messy like Karen likes to do. I’m a friend to Robyn and if she wants to state her opinion, that’s why we’re friends. It’s okay.”
Gizelle also gave her opinion on Phaedra Parks being involved, but not involved, while still being involved with the lawsuit against Kandi Burruss: “I’m with Kandi on this. I’m a little Team Kandi. It just seems shady representing the guy that used to work for Kandi and not really representing, but not owning to the fact that you’re kind of representing him. That’s a little shady.” Sure, that wording is a little hard to follow out of context, but watching the show, I definitely agree with her on that one.
Andy tried to stir the pot with some questions for Kairo. He asked, “Has Kenya [Moore] ever flirted with you?” And Kairo said, “No, not yet.” But that wasn’t the best part. Andy also said, “Porsha [Williams] is the youngest Real Housewife of Atlanta, have you had a moment where you looked at her and thought ‘I would like to date her’?” I figured Kairo would just blush and brush off the question, but he kept it real and admitted, “Yes I have. You could put in a good word for me.” All Sheree had to say about this was “What!?” Yeah, same, but I am all for this idea. It would be an amazing story line next season. So if Porsha’s typical casting procedure to get seasonal boyfriends doesn’t work out, she could always check out Kairo… because I mean, aren’t we all checking out Kairo? Or maybe that’s just me.
A viewer asked Gizelle about being threatened by the new girls- which is how she came off when Ashley Darby arrived last year and last night as Monique Samuels showed up for high tea. Gizelle claimed, “That day I wasn’t ready to meet somebody new. I was still going through Charrisse-gate and she’s Charrisse’s friends so she got kind of shade from association.
I know that scene was filmed a while ago, but it’s still hard to tell if Gizelle likes Monique at this point, although it seems like Gizelle really doesn’t like most people. Gizelle said, “Monique talks a lot. She’s a very pretty girl. A lot of the times when she’s talking, I’m never listening, but it’s a work in progress.” So it’s safe to say that they’re not besties.
Sheree was asked if Phaedra was really not divorced STILL even though she has claimed she was MANY times in the past. Sheree said, “That’s what they say. I don’t know for sure. I haven’t pulled any documents, but they do say that shes not divorced. Andy interjected, “Phaedra did bring a document to the reunion… which was interesting.” Sorry to pull a Gizelle Bryant, but “word on the street” is that Phaedra might have brought a fake document to confirm her divorce status.
One of the viewers said exactly what was on my mind every time I saw a scene with Karen Huger in it: “Do you think Karen is legitimately downsizing or is she just having money problems?” Surprisingly enough, Gizelle didn’t throw Karen under the bus and she just said, “I cannot speak for the bank account for the Black Bill Gates. I would never do that. So I don’t know. I plead the fifth.” However, Andy said, “I will say that Karen’s move becomes a major story line later in the season and it’s very interesting.” So I have to assume that Gizelle wasn’t trying to be kind or respectful to Karen by not discussing her housing situation and she was just trying to keep an upcoming story line under wraps.
Andy got both Whitfields to admit, “I am single right now” and he got a mysterious “No” out of Gizelle when the question came her way. Gizelle also just said “no” when she was asked if she regretted bringing up Charrisse and the fireman on a previous Watch What Happens Live episode.
Sheree looked beyond uncomfortable when the subject turned to the unfinished basement that we saw during the housewarming party. Andy shadily asked, “What does the basement look like now?” And Sheree said, “It is in the works. So I am finishing the basement. It was being finished prior, but I had a leak and we stopped.” I am sure Kenya was laughing out loud at that response.
Sheree revealed that she invited NeNe Leakes and Season 1 cast member DeShawn Snow to the party. She also said, “I did not invite Bob [Whitfield] to the housewarming because I felt like so much had gone on between us and I just wanted that to be my night with no unnecessary drama or negativity.
Gizelle got a couple more digs in before the end of the episode. A viewer asked if she felt Karen was just trying to be friends with Robyn to get some dirt and Gizelle confirmed, “Of course. No one’s paying attention to her.” Andy asked her to rate the food at Ashley’s restaurant and Gizelle replied, “It’s a work in progress.”
To close up the night, Sheree took a stab at Kenya: “She’s just evil. She’s miserable. That day, I just didn’t want to kick her out or anything.” Well, duh. Of course Sheree didn’t kick her out. Kenya’s drama meant that her house was going to get more screen time. There’s no chance in hell Sheree was going to pass up chance to get her base boards on reality television.

I was so happy to watch the Real Housewives of New York premiere. I’ve been watching this show from the beginning and it feels like all of the cast members are my best friends in my head… not that any of them have any idea that I exist. My point here is that I’m super invested. With that said, I wasn’t wowed by the first episode of Season 9. Sure, I was happy to see everyone again, but not much happened. And that’s probably why Bethenny Frankel didn’t have too many specific comments following the episode.
I was excited to see all of the new faces (and you know what I mean by that) and to hear some hilarious one-liners, but as far as the plot went, pretty much nothing happened. Nevertheless, Bethenny insists that we should be ready for a hilarious season.

Bethenny usually has a lot to say, but her first Bravo blog of the season was super brief. I get that though. There really wasn’t much to comment on during that episode. It was a very forgettable premiere in all honesty.
Bethenny declared, “Here we go again. Season 9. This season was like one giant therapy session, and I definitely benefited from it.” Maybe Bethenny finally opens up about her personal life? Then again, I doubt she could even if she wanted to. I have a feeling that she’s not allowed to legally because of all the divorce issues, but that’s just me making shit up. Plus, Bethenny emphasized, “I am in a different place, a happier place. I don’t choose to go into great detail here, because I have a beautiful daughter to think of first, but suffice it to say I’ve been through hell.” Fair enough. She’s (probably) going to watch these episodes one day, so it’s best to leave some things out of the story lines. Although I would never let my kid watch me on reality TV…. not that I have a kid or have appeared on reality TV.
Bethenny vaguely revealed, “Finally, I see some progress in coming out the other side.”
She didn’t say much, but I am happy that she declared, “This is the funniest season yet, and then, there are some not so funny, mean and crazy moments.” I actually loved the last season, but definitely did get a little dark.
Bethenny also said, “It is a very bumpy unexpected ride, and I always say, the show will always be ahead of us. Things happen that you could never predict. Enjoy!”

Last night was the season finale of a very, well, bizarre season of Real Housewives Of Atlanta. Thankfully we didn’t relive Lesbian-Gate – we’re saving that for the reunion – but we did witness the official end of Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss‘ friendship. Something else happened… Something big, I think… Oh what was it? Hmmmm… OH! Chateau Sheree. Yep, it’s up and running. Almost.
We barely saw Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams – they were mere extras to the drama. That’s the way the cookie crumbles, I guess! Speaking of cookies – you cannot bake them in Sheree Whitfield‘s kitchen.

Chateau Sheree is ready to make its debut like no other McMansion in all of Georgia with a Masquerade Ball. Which is perfect considering that building this house, and Sheree’s life, is a lot of smoke and mirrors, and that the Chateau’s walls, like its proprietress, have plenty of secrets underneath that mask of perfection! It’s magical realism here – the magic is in suspending your disbelief. Sheree is probably also hoping the masks will prevent guests from seeing properly – especially considering that, at this juncture, several Sheree’s baseboards and trim pieces are piled up in the corner! She can call it a sculpture.
Despite the unfinished portions, Sheree is determined to make magic happen at this housewarming. She wants nightmares fantasies to come true! And people dangling from chandeliers! “Because nothing about Sheree is below average.” First of all it sounds like Sheree is hopping a ride at Disney World. Second of all I keep remembering that party Sheree threw in Season 1 where NeNe Leakes was left off the guest list. I don’t see how any Sheree party could top that – unless she leaves Kenya Moore off the guest list, because just imagine the ensuing tantrum and hysteria.
Unfortunately one day before the party this wonderful person is throwing for a home they do not live in, Sheree’s appliances up and disappeared. Sheree goes to SheHulk in the blink of an eye. And all those pieces of crown molding are still sitting in a corner – maybe they’re being punished for not being magical enough? But seriously – get the lady a stove! Witches need heat for their cauldrons. I kid… the witch lives down the hill.
Anyway, knowing that Kenya the women will judge the Chateau harshly and nitpick every unfinished crevice, Sheree decides to disguise the missing appliances with wood pieces. And also hire security for “nosy bitches.”
In other developments, ones that are really kind of sad, Kandi and Riley are meet Block for dinner. Kandi brings Riley to her favorite restaurant for this meeting, because in Kandi-Land food fixes everything. Block always sounds like he’s talking with his mouth full and Bravo gave him subtitles. I want to know what is in Block’s mouth? Maybe he was choking on his own BS. He refers to Kandi, sitting-in on this dinner with the child he hasn’t seen in 3-years, as “The Translator.” Yet, even she has no idea what he’s talking about.
Nobody needs to speak Block’s language to understand that he expects Riley (and Kandi) to forget how he hasn’t been around. He actually blames Kandi for “Brainwashing” Riley against him. Kandi and Block start arguing, but Riley interrupts to call him out and remind him that he didn’t even sign her birth certificate. Riley was very composed and mature – I was really impressed; meanwhile Block is Mama Joyce crazy. Since Riley has high tolerance for that sort of mess, and the man is her dad, Riley agrees to give him another chance. Let’s hope that in the next three years he borrows Sheree’s long-forgotten Speak & Spell.

Anyhoodle, Phaedra is just hard at work. Doing what it is attorneys do; defending and upholding the law to the purest of her capabilities, and as an attorney she will not turn her back on those in need of help. Especially those who are in need of help suing Kandi!
Once again, Phaedra meets the long-suffering Johnnie at the employment attorney’s office, and they have decided to take part of his case. The claim that Kandi “stole” the OLG restaurant idea from him is baseless, but Johnnie working thousands of hours in unpaid over-time is worth a claim. It seems like they’re going to be relying on footage from RHOA and Kandi’s Wedding spinoff to substantiate his claims, because the attorneys – who seem very legit (I looked them up) ask who employed him while Bravo was filming the wedding. Phaedra did some quick calculations and determined that while planning Kandi’s ‘Coming To America’ themed wedding – of which ironically she was in – Johnnie was making about $2.30 an hour. I wonder how much overtime Phaedra got paid for playing a bridesmaid?
OK, but seriously – I don’t know anything about this case beyond what I’ve seen on TV, but if Johnnie really was being underpaid by so much, he deserves to pursue a case. However, Phaedra shouldn’t be involved. That just smacks, not of a desire to uphold the law, but of a desire to uphold the law of pettiness against an ex-friend.
Kandi denies that Johnnie‘s claim has any merit, and Todd compares her to Tyler Perry, because once you reach “mogul” status little people are always trying to sue you. Kandi has an attorney on retainer to deal with such silly matters and is unconcerned. We shall see!
Finally, it is time for Chateau Sheree! Just in case all of Atlanta couldn’t find it, Sheree has “Chateau Sheree” projected onto the side of the house with light. There are aerial artists, ever-morphing faces, and Sheree wearing a figure skating costume. Or was it the Queen Of Hearts from Alice In Wonderland?
Coming to Chateau Sheree, for Real Housewives Of Atlanta, is akin to coming to reaching the Mecca. And Chateau Sheree is a mythical place, rising from the ashes of Sheree’s life with Bob. It does deserve its own carefully crafted theme-party, and a personal babysitter. Yes, Sheree employed one of her friends to personally oversee the movements of people within the compound, and report back any and all infractions or criticisms. Basically she was security for Krayonce; a personally appointed tattle-tale. Which it turned out was a good idea.
Phaedra attends the party with Dwight. Oh how I have missed Dwight. He is wearing a tuxedo jacket of his own creation. Is his line “You By Eubanks”? Or perhaps Eww by Eubanks? I’m pretty sure the print on said jacket featured the uncompleted skeleton of Chateau Sheree and the highway running outside its door.
Most of the ladies are thrilled and ecstatic for Sheree. I wish I could say the women were in such good spirits they found no time for gossip, but alas they are ARE Housewives. And in a house, of any magnitude, Housewives must create conflicts, stir the pot, and be messy. So Cynthia tells Porsha all about how Apollo’s girlfriend appearing at the OLG opening; and later Cynthia asks Kandi how she feels about Phaedra assisting Johnnie.
When Phaedra learns about Sherien, her veneer cracks right in half and all her Jesus goes right out the unfinished kitchen of the Chateau. She denounces Kandi and Todd as “wicked” and intentionally trying to hurt her. Phaedra is so filled with rage she could “knock a bitch’s head off.” Well, I never! Everybody knows … a Southern Belle should never resort to violence because her nails might break. Plus, it is Sheree who is wearing the Queen Of Hearts costume, and since it’s her home, she has the authority to decide who loses their head. But Kim Zolciak is on the security committee and also has a say.
Ah yes, Kim. Well, well… Both she and Kenya were completely extra, but at least Kim was supportive of Sheree. Kim arrived, dragging Kroy behind her, and walked right past Kandi, completely ignoring her.
While Kim is taking the tour with Sheree, Kenya arrives, only to snipe on Sheree’s house and search for an imperfections. I swear, she had a secret camera with her to ‘document’ any and all small flaws like a Housing Inspector. Kenya did need that personalized babysitter, because she behaved like a complete child. Supposedly she made peace with Sheree, and had found a new appreciation for their shared experiences in abusive relationships, yet now she’s at her housewarming with a garbage bag looking for trash to dig up? Kenya – go home and sort out why Moore Manor‘s windows are made of crackle glass.
With Sheree distracted, Kenya decides to take her own tour of the house pretending to look for the bathroom. Instead she convinces Kandi to sneak down to the basement… and GASP – it is UNFINISHED! The horror! Kenya cackles with glee that at the boards piled up. Good thing she didn’t try to get a water out of the fridge! When they are caught – by the appointed Kenya-sitter – Sheree loses it and threatens to put people out of the Chateau.

As Kenya is careening around the master bedroom accusing Sheree of copying her light fixtures and declaring that Moore Manor has bigger closets, Kandi and Kim make peace. They decide there’s no point in being awkward after 5 years have passed. And in that time Kim has spawned an army. They are interrupted by “Kendra” complaining about the Chateau until Kim asks what we’re all thinking, “Why are you just being such an asshole?”
Kenya refuses to get an etiquette lesson from “Octomom” and her “duck lips,” but the sad thing is: she needed it! Kim IS an expert on parenting at this point (eye roll). Kim announces that since Kenya is so interested in exploring the Chateau, she should find the door and leave.
Obviously Kim and Kenya have to get into a rumble. Even with Sheree yelling “NOT ON THE CARPET they’re from Rent-a-Center!” (joking). Kim (who nearly flashed her Kroy-tter earlier) snarks that Kenya needs to worry less about what’s in Sheree’s bathroom, and more about her slit being so high her Krayonce is about to “fall out.” Kenya decides we should all be so lucky, but Kim, in case you’ve forgotten, has a man. (Is that what we’re calling Kroy these days? Cause I thought he was a robot?)
Of course Kenya has to take it to levels of unfinished basements by saying Kim looks like she’s had 5 kids , and sneering that they’re from three different men, then laughing that Kroy is unemployed. Kim is probably right that Kenya wishes she had Kim’s life. Too bad she has only Moore Manor and Matt-Attack. Kim just keeps pursing those “duck lips” and telling Kenya that her Sheree’s refrigerator is running away, so Kenya better go catch it. Check her recycling, bitch!
Finally Porsha breaks things up by barging into the circle to hug Kim and act as a human anger management shield.
This is why I just can’t with Kenya – she comes to someone’s party – someone she’s supposedly ‘good’ with, insults their house, and then laughs at Kim’s body when called out. So mean! Kenya needs anger management – maybe Porsha knows a guy? Finally Sheree tells them both to stop, and makes a speech about what an amazing accomplishment Chateau Sheree is.
The finale ends with Kandi and Phaedra having yet another disastrous meeting. Kandi apologizes about Sherien showing up at the OLG and insists she had no idea. Phaedra accepts the apology she feels she deserves, then refuses to answer Kandi’s questions about what’s going on with Johnnie. Phaedra claims she is bound by attorney privileges to not reveal details of the case – yet it’s OK for it to be revealed on TV?! Something in that buttermilk ain’t clean!
In the updates, we learn that Kandi co-wrote “Shape Of You,” and that the OLG Restaurant is finally opened a year behind schedule. They serve a cocktail called The Sherien, and she makes regular appearances for her fans and to run a prison wives support group. (I made that part up, obviously).
Porsha launched a detox cleanse called “The Dump” – it’s named after Todd2. Kenya is doing a domestic violence PSA. And Cynthia has not convinced Peter to be her BFF, but she is dating other people.
As for the Chateau, the wonderful person who built a home with no certificate of occupancy, is living there – despite what the authorities claim. So is Sheree squatting in her own home?
