Deal or No Deal Island Premiere Recap: Welcome to the Banker’s Private Island

Deal or No Deal Island marries the original game show with grueling physical and mental challenges. And this time, the 13 competitors join host Joe Manganiello on the Banker’s private tropical island. No, this isn’t an AI-generated title! This really is Deal or No Deal, on an island! Let’s get into the premiere recap for Deal or No Deal Island, titled “Are You A Gambler?”

Who’s in the cast of The Deal or No Deal Island?

Deal or No Deal Island Premiere cast
  • Dawson Addis – Muskego, WI
  • Aron Barbell – Champaign, IL
  • Jordan Fowler – Nashville, TN
  • Nicholas Grasso – Brooklyn, NY
  • Miranda Harrison – Fort Myers, FL
  • Claudia Jordan – Dallas, TX
  • Alyssa Klinzing – Kansas City, MO
  • “Boston” Rob Mariano – Perdido Keys, FL
  • Kim Mattina – Anthem, AZ
  • Stephanie Mitchell – Gainesville, AL
  • Jamil Sipes – Grand Prairie, TX
  • Brantzen Wong – Tustin, CA

Among the cast are two reality stars. Survivor legend “Boston” Rob Mariano and former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan. Claudia was a briefcase model for the first four seasons of the original Deal or No Deal. It will be interesting to see if her experience with the game is an asset, or a target on her back. And Kamari Love and Ben Crofchick are the Banker’s assistants.

The Banker has some rules

Scattered around the island are briefcases worth (wait for it) a total of $200 million. The players will compete in challenges to win the briefcase used that night in a round of Deal or No Deal.

Whoever finds the case with the highest value is safe. The two guests with the lowest value cases are in danger of being sent packing. One of them will play against the Banker in a classic game of Deal or No Deal. And the competitor with immunity will decide who goes against the Banker. This game is out of control!

Getting to know you

As the contestants were driven in, they got to know each other. Aron recognized Boston Rob from the jump, and they formed a connection. Aron’s reason for competing tugs at my heartstrings. His father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and he is hoping to win some money to help his family.

The competitors met Joe on the beach. He is a liaison between the contestants and the Banker. In this show, the Banker is looking for his “ultimate adversary.” Step right up, Boston Rob! I would love to see that match-up.

Meanwhile, a helicopter arrived with Kamari inside. She tossed out briefcases worth $4.5 million all over the island. And the Banker has upped the ante by including two red cases. One case contains a “steal,” which allows you to nab someone else’s case. The other red case contains a low cash value. The catch? The player won’t know until they open the case. This is so stressful…

A spa day to remember

Then it was off to grab those cases. The cases were in a mud pit, which was called a spa. No thanks!! People were getting stuck in the mud – literally. Dawson grabbed a $1 million case. Kim, who is 62 years old, was struggling to even move. Meanwhile, Jordan helped secure a case for Kim, while Dawson and Boston Rob helped her out of the muck.

Another chance to bet on red

Deal or No Deal Island Premiere

The Banker was salty that no one selected a red case and phoned Joe. The Banker will give $10,000 to anyone who goes back into the mud and grabs a red case. Kim and Brantzen, a professional poker player, decided to go for it. Brantzen wanted Kim to get a red case. He didn’t take one for himself. However, the group was unhappy because now, whoever had a low-value case, was in jeopardy.

Keep a close eye on Kim. She was chilling like a villain and wasn’t afraid to wear that badge. She planned to manipulate everyone to the end. Well played, Kim. Well played.

Kim opened her red case and it was a “steal.” Brantzen’s kindness has twisted the game. She told her fellow players that if she took the $1 million case (hello Dawson!), she wouldn’t put that contestant up against the Banker. She took Dawson’s case, and Aron joined Dawson in the bottom two.

Let the social game begin

Deal or No Deal Island Premiere recap

The players were sharing fancy tents and showers. It’s like glamping! Kim told everyone that she would stay true to her word to Dawson. She wants to build up some currency in the social part of the game.

Some of the players called out Brantzen for dooming Aron because Kim had a low case. I feel like the currency in Brantzen’s social bank just plummeted.

Kim and Brantzen outed Rob as a Survivor winner. And Kim pointed out how dangerous his gameplay is, much to Boston Rob’s horror. The group was eyeing him as someone who had to be eliminated. But Rob has clocked Kim as the most dangerous player in the game.

Brantzen talked to Aron. If Aron doesn’t pick him for elimination, Brantzen won’t hurt him for the next three rounds. Afterward, Boston Rob chatted with Aron and they decided that Brantzen should go home. Meanwhile, Rob also had his eye on Stephanie as a potential danger.

Who will face the Banker in The Temple?

Deal or No Deal Island Premiere

Aron Barbell faces off against The Banker in Deal or No Deal Island Episode 1.

The contestant playing against the Banker must make a good deal. A good deal means agreeing to a higher offer than what was in the players’ case. If the contestant succeeds in beating the Banker, they not only get to stay in the game, but they decide who is going home. That is diabolical. And I like it! If they make a bad deal, they will be eliminated. Wow.

Aron was ready to face the Banker. He told Joe that if he wins, he will pay off his parent’s house. I am rooting for him. All the case amounts were added to the board, along with the Banker’s low numbers. During the game, that shifty Banker will attempt to buy Aron’s case.

Aron picked number 10 as his case. He has to open eight cases in the first round. Unfortunately, he picked several large amounts. The Banker called and offered Aron $45,000. Aron declined the deal.

For round two, he had to select seven cases. Aron lost the $1 million case. The Banker dissed Aron’s ability as an accountant. Ouch! The Banker offered Aron $107,000, and Aron once again refused the deal.

Now he had to choose two cases for this round. The Banker offered $266,000. Again, Aron rejected the offer.

Finally, the Banker offered $445,000. The amounts left on the board were $400,000 and $600,000. Aron rolled the dice and again refused the deal. The gutsy player needed to have $600,000 thousand in his case to survive. Aron did, and he added $600,000 to the final case for the group! But Aron doesn’t get any of the cash, because it all goes into the suitcase for the final player.

Who was eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island, Episode 1?

Brantzen Wong was the first player eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island.

And cue the waterworks as the contestants gave him a group hug. Unfortunately, the poker player wasn’t able to overcome his decision to help poor, helpless Kim.

Deal or No Deal Island continues Monday, March 4 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 7 Recap: Rocky Mountain Lumberjills

Welcome to our recap of The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 7! In this episode, Joey Graziadei takes one lucky lady horseback riding in Jasper National Park and hosts a competition to see who’s the best lumberjill. Another woman talks Joey into taking the plunge in a glacial lake, while last week’s frontrunner lets her insecurities get to her. Joey fights his greatest fear while deciding whose hometown to visit next week. Here are some highlights from The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 7.

Joey loves Jasper

This week the Bachelor’s in Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada, and it’s gorgeous. Bears and elk are everywhere. The camera crew must have had a ball filming all the wildlife. Joey admits, “This is hands down the prettiest place I’ve ever been.”

There are only six women left, so we’re getting down to the wire. Next week is Hometown Week, so that means we’ll be trimming the numbers to four by the end of the episode.

The ladies are waiting on the couch in the hotel when the date card arrives. Kelsey T. reads the card, “Daisy, let’s ride off into the sunset together.” The other ladies speculate that Daisy and Joey are going horseback riding. Daisy leaves to get ready for her date while the other women pretend to be happy for her.

Jenn interviews that she’s “shocked” and “sad.” She says, “Last week, I told him I was falling for him.” So did three other girls, honey. “That was a huge step for me … It’s really getting in my head.” Ironically, Maria is the one who sits with Jenn, consoling her.

While waiting for Daisy, Joey confesses that even though he feels a connection with her, Daisy is the only woman who hasn’t told him how she feels about him. Joey thinks it’s just because they haven’t had enough alone time, so “it’s time to take it to a different level today … I just really want to make sure we are on the same page.”

They are indeed riding horses today. Joey’s never ridden a horse, and Daisy’s only ridden “a couple of times,” so this should be interesting. The scenery is just so incredibly beautiful.

“I’m very happy,” Joey interviews. “I did something I’ve never done before. I got to do it with a girl that I truly care about. She made it better; she made it fun. She’s special. She really is.”

“I always knew something was there with Daisy from that first one-on-one,” he continues. “[I’m] impressed by her all the time … I can see this growing into love, and her being someone I can spend a life with. I’m hopeful.”

The horses bring them to a wood-fired hot tub on the edge of a lake. Gorgeous. Joey and Daisy go their separate ways into the woods to put on their swimsuits.

“I’m feeling really good,” Daisy interviews. “I love being around him; I love kissing him. Joey’s so hot, I literally can’t stop sweating. Every time I’m with him, I’m happy, and I feel so good.” So tell him that, girl! He needs to hear it.

Daisy’s getting there…

“I feel so good,” Daisy adds. “Today was one of my favorite days ever. But tonight is a really important night for me ’cause I’m gonna tell Joey how I feel.”

“I’m not really in love with Joey,” she adds, “but I can see myself getting to that point … I’m not going to tell him I’m in love with him just to get a rose … It’s scary. You never know when your honesty is going to be too much for somebody, and they’re going to pull away … But at the end of the day, if he didn’t want me because of that, I would be devastated.”

Finally, Joey asks her how she’s feeling about everything, especially with the hometowns coming up next week. Daisy’s biggest concern is to see how Joey interacts with the people she loves most in the world: her family.

“If I’m being 100% honest,” she says, “I really, really like you, but am I there yet? No. I can see us being so great together, and I can see myself falling in love with you.”

Joey’s not happy with that answer. His biggest fear is to fall in love with someone who doesn’t return his affection. But Daisy just needs more time.

She goes on to explain that her parents poured all their love and caring into her when she was so sick. They will want to know that Joey would take care of her in the same way. Isn’t that what the wedding vows say? “In sickness and in health?” I thought it was part of the deal.

Thankfully, Joey understands that if he and Daisy end up together, he would be there for her no matter what. “I can be that person,” he promises.

Will Daisy get the rose?

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 7 recap
Photo: Disney/John Fleenor

“I am feeling more and more every time I’m with you,” Daisy says. Even though she was nervous to tell Joey how she feels, Daisy can’t be anything but honest. Joey should respect that. That’s not always the case.

As Joey picks up the rose, you can feel the tension. “Daisy,” he starts, “today really was amazing, but I did have a lot of expectations coming into tonight cause I wanted to make sure we’re on the same page. I don’t take next week lightly … I’ve always appreciated your honesty and your realness. What you said didn’t scare me, so this rose is just a symbol that I really want to meet your family … So, Daisy, would you accept this rose?”

And she happily accepts it. Oh, man, he scared me for a minute there. I’m so glad he came through.

“I would be lucky to be with Daisy, at the end of the day,” Joey says, “because I think she’s special.” I do, too. She’s been my favorite since night one.

Joey has one more surprise. They take an elevator up to a skating rink! They’re going ice skating.

“I really, really like him,” Daisy confesses. “I did not expect to feel this way … Oh, my gosh. I think it’s happening!”

Joey’s Ultimate Lumberjill Competition

Maria reads the group date card. “Kelsey T., Maria, Rachel, and Jenn: Let’s take our love to the great outdoors. Love, Joey.” That means Kelsey A. is the lucky winner of the last one-on-one. The other girls congratulate her half-heartedly, trying to hide their own disappointment.

After meeting Joey, they all walk towards a barn, where a woman with an axe is simultaneously standing on a log while chopping the middle out of it. That looks really dangerous. I would probably chop my foot off!

Today they’ll learn to be lumberjacks, or in this case, lumberjills. Kelsey T. turns out to be really good at everything. Poor Maria is terrible at most of it, though she killed at splitting a log.

After everyone’s had some practice, Anita, the Champion Lumberjill, announces a competition. The ladies are sent to change into their flannels.

The first round is Rachel versus Jenn. The challenges are log rolling, crosscut sawing, and elk milk drinking (ugh). That milk looks disgusting.

Round two is Jenn versus Maria. Maria is not an outdoor kind of girl, and she doesn’t see how this is advancing things with Joey, so she’s totally not into it. “I don’t like competition, and I don’t see how things could get worse,” she complains. Oh, no. Don’t say that, Maria. This show will take that as a challenge.

While Joey is filming a confessional, Jenn runs over and gives him a little “good luck kiss.” She lays one on him, in plain sight of the other women, who are not happy. I told you, Maria! Things can always get worse.

“Did they forget that I have an axe?” Maria quips. LOL.

The Group Date After Party

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 7
Photo: Disney/John Fleenor

Maria is not over Jenn kissing Joey. “My man kissed another woman, and [it] felt like sh*t,” she admits.

As the other women have their time with Joey, Maria’s spiraling. She knows what she signed up for, but she thinks of Joey as being hers and doesn’t like that he has to give attention to the other women. Who wants to see the person they care about with other girls?

“I don’t know if I can do this anymore,” she tells Joey. She gets up and goes into the other room. This triggers Joey’s biggest fear of caring for someone who decides to leave.

After her show handler talks her down, Maria returns to Joey and says, “I just had a little moment. It just hit me … because it’s so real … I think out loud a lot. I don’t want you to think [I’m running from you] … I’m scared, and I don’t like seeing you with the other women. It just got the best of me.”

“So, do you still want to be here?” Joey asks.

She nods her head and apologizes for having a freakout. She teases that she won’t kiss him tonight, because she saw Jenn kiss him. But then she kisses him.

“You’re all over the place, woman,” Joey tells her.

“I’m feeling conflicted,” Joey says in a confessional. “I know Maria gets in her head sometimes … It’s making me question if I can trust she’ll ever get there. There are so many women here who’ve [assured me] they would never do that. But maybe that’s not real. Maybe what Maria’s saying is more real.”

When it’s time to give out the rose, Joey says he can’t do it tonight. “I need more time.” Maria’s indecision really shook him.

The Last One-on-One

The next day is Joey’s date with Kelsey A. They’re going to explore the town of Jasper. They go souvenir shopping, buy hot cocoa, play pool, and have a beer together. Kelsey’s trying to just be in the moment and not think too far ahead.

One of the locals mentions the Polar Plunge (jumping into a glacial lake), and Kelsey’s excited. She totally wants to do it, while Joey’s not so sure. Brrrrr! Jumping into freezing water just for the heart-stopping aspect of it doesn’t sound like fun to me. But they go ahead with it. Afterward, they warm up in a lakeside sauna.

At dinner, Joey asks who he’d meet at Kelsey’s hometown. She has four siblings, but she knows her dad would be there for sure. Kelsey says she wasn’t close to her dad growing up because he was working to support his family. She got closer to her dad after her mom got cancer and passed away.

“My dad is really my favorite guy,” Kelsey says. “Whenever anything happens, he’s the person I run to, whenever I’m happy or I’m sad. [That’s when] I really miss my mom, but I know that I have my dad to lean on … I’m really thankful that he stepped up. He lost the love of his life, and he has five kids. I can’t imagine being so devastated, but you have all these people depending on you, and you just have to do your best and be there for them.”

Joey thinks Kelsey is a strong, brave woman and admires her character. He wants to meet her amazing dad, so he offers her the rose, and, of course, she accepts.

The Rose Ceremony

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 7 recap
Photo: Disney/John Fleenor

Going into the RC, there are six women, and two already have roses. That means two women will be leaving heartbroken.

“Nothing about tonight’s going to be easy,” says Joey.

The ladies walk down the sidewalk en masse. Kelsey A.’s wearing her grandma shoes again. I wonder if she has a foot problem or just worries about being too tall? Those white slides are not cute.

Here comes Jesse Palmer. It’s never good news when he shows up. He says there will be no cocktail party tonight. Joey knows what he wants to do.

What’s this? Maria grabs Jenn’s hand before Joey comes out, and Jenn says, “I love you.” Maria says, “I love you” back. When did this happen? I thought they were mortal enemies.

Joey enters the room and asks if he can chat with Maria for a second. Uh oh.

He says he felt confident about her coming into this week, but the last time he saw her she was on her way out. “I don’t want to be sitting here, begging you to stay. I want to feel confident that you want to be here.”

“My insecurities got the best of me,” she says. “But I want to be here, and I’m not running.”

He has a tough decision to make.

When they return, Joey picks up the first rose. The roses go to Rachel and — following Jesse’s obvious “final rose tonight” — Maria.

Kelsey T. and Jenn (despite her desperate group date kiss while everyone else was watching) are boarding the Loser Limos. Take a moment and say your goodbyes, ladies.

Next week, Hometowns!

The Bachelor Season 28 airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4 Recap: Fraser Fights Back

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4 recap
Photo: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

Welcome back to Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4. In this week’s episode, called “It’s Always Sunny in Grenada,” Cat’s lack of experience turns dinner service into a “Cat-astrophy,” and Captain Kerry’s there to see it. Cat is having difficulty fitting in with the crew, while Fraser puts Barbie on notice because she still refuses to respect her superiors anyone. While on the deck team, Sunny has beef with Ben. Here are the highlights from Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4.

“Everyone” hates Barbie

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4
Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

When last we left Below Deck, Fraser was telling Captain Kerry how Barbie thinks “we’re all now against her,” though he’s assured her that’s not the case. He’s tired of her “vile attitude” toward her boss, as well as her co-workers.

Even though she’s cranky, Barbie’s good at her job. Captain’s hoping Fraser can help her turn her attitude around and become an asset to the crew rather than a problem. “You don’t have to like her,” he says. “Let’s find a way for her to shine.”

Meanwhile, in their cabin, Barbie tells her roommate, Sunny, that her whole team “hates her.”

“I feel so underappreciated,” she says. “I’m doing such a good job, and all the guests love me.” Except for your attitude, sweetheart. That sucks.

Later, Barbie tells her mother on the phone, “My boss says I have a lack of respect for him, that I need to talk to him nicely.”

Her mom responds, “Your relationships with others are very important … Don’t feed into it.”

But Barbie maintains that she’s being mistreated and is constantly under attack. Poor Barbie is such a victim.

Barbie’s mom encourages her to remain calm and “don’t get angry. You’re capable of handling this.”

A wedding by a waterfall

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4 recap
Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

Jared and Fraser have decorated the platform next to a waterfall for the guests’ two vow renewals and a wedding. Captain Kerry is an ordained minister, so he’s marrying everybody in one fell swoop. He does all the ceremonies together, rather than one by one. That’s not very special for the couple who’s actually getting married. Seems like the other two couples should have let them have their moment.

Kerry instructs them to repeat, “I give you my hands, my heart … but not my last beer.” So romantic, Kerry!

Barbie has a little crush on Jared. While they’re cleaning up after the wedding, she outright tells him she likes him. “Did you hear what she just said?” Fraser teases. Jared’s a little “taken aback” by the honesty, but he likes it.

When Jared says she has a “twinkle in her eye,” Fraser snaps back, “I don’t know if that is. Could be tears.” That gets a giggle out of Barbie. Maybe there’s hope for their relationship yet.

Meanwhile, Sunny and Ben are like oil and water. She’s unhappy with him for calling her out over the walkie for not wearing a life jacket on the jet ski. It made her look bad in front of the captain and was a dick move on Ben’s part. He didn’t have to broadcast that over the radio.

A Cat-astrophic dinner

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4
Photo: Bravo

Fraser gives Cat the opportunity to serve at dinner since he wants her to learn. It doesn’t go well. She reaches across the captain to refill his wine glass, when she should be pouring from his right. She asks Fraser how to place the cutlery for the next course (forks on the left, knives on the right – duh) when she should already know that. As she’s clearing between courses, Captain Kerry has to remind her, “Clean his placemat,” when she fails to clear a guest’s place setting.

“Quite honestly, this is a Cat-astrophy,” Fraser comments.

“All the mistakes I’m seeing that Cat’s doing,” Kerry interviews, “it appears to me that she hasn’t been trained well enough to be doing service tonight.” Cat had better pick up the pace.

Crew night out

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4 recap
Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

Jared has a three-year-old daughter he’s never met. When it happened, he didn’t handle the news well that his girlfriend (now ex) was pregnant, and she returned to Alaska with the baby. He calls her every few days and talks to his daughter, but he’s never met her in person.

“I’m on a set schedule to talk to my daughter,” he tells us. “Not being able to talk because of the lack of cellular service here really puts me in a difficult way. My fear is that if I don’t maintain this schedule, [his ex] will just cut me off.” That’s a tough situation. He’s trying to do the right thing, but his job makes it difficult.

At dinner, Jared is messy drunk (possibly due to frustration about being unable to call his daughter). His inebriation kills Barbie’s crush.

“Jared’s sloppy behavior has just turned me all the way off,” she says. “It’s like one of those situations where you meet somebody, you’re on the first date, and you’re like, ‘I just met my husband!’ And then you go on the second date, and you’re like, ‘No, I did not.’”

Maybe she’ll make a move on Kyle after all. While they’re sitting on the beach having a smoke, he asks if she wants to go for “a little beach walk,” and she says, “Sure.” Goodbye, Jared. We’ll see how Kyle feels about Barbie after she dumps her “poor little Barbie” story on him.

“You’re lucky you’re working with people who are nice and respectful and not assholes to you,” she tells him. “I work my ass off. Guests love me more than anybody, but it is what it is.”

Sunny thinks Ben’s “being a dick”

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4
Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

At the same time, Ben and Sunny seem to be taking a romantic stroll along the beach. “How are you going?” he asks. “You enjoying it so far?”

“Yeah,” she says. “I got a little bit of, like, head bumps.”

“I mean, it’s work,” Ben responds.

“You know it’s not just work,” she says. “You’re being a dick. You just stir the pot all the time … That thing over the radio, not cool.” Whoa. Sunny doesn’t beat around the bush.

“Honestly, I don’t think it’s dick, darling,” he answers. “It’s cheeky. There’s a difference between dick and cheeky.”

“Well, it comes off as you being a dick,” she persists.

“I’m cheeky, I’m Aussie,” Ben says. “It’s charismatic.” Um, not so much, “darling.”

She reminds him about his chastising her over the radio. “Not cool,” she repeats.

“You’re worried the captain’s going to hear that?” he finally acknowledges. “It doesn’t matter. You’ve gotta be thick-skinned. I’m sorry that offended you. You’re doing great, the captain loves you. You’re probably his favorite crew member at the moment, so don’t worry about that at all. You got any problems, just come let me know.” And then he pulls her in for a hug. I guess they’re cool.

Cat has a meltdown

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4
Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

Cat just doesn’t feel a connection with anyone on the boat. “For so many years growing up with my foster family,” she says, “I really suppressed who I actually was. Being thrown on a boat with people I don’t know, it makes you really insecure about your own self. You [wonder], ‘Oh, am I not funny enough? Am I not witty enough?’ I’m not able to, like, feel fully myself.”

Fraser realizes she’s struggling and asks, “What’s up, babes?”

“I’m just sad and tired and insecure about my personality,” she tells him.

“Why? Oh, my God, why?” he asks.

When she says she hopes she’s not “bland,” Fraser rebuts, “There’s nothing bland about you. Look at you!”

Cat’s a mess. “Cat, to me at the moment, is very much the Leaning Tower of Pisa,” Fraser interviews. “She has been through so much. No wonder why there’s a shock to the system.”

“You are beautiful, you are fun,” he tells her. “You are everything we need, and you are my most precious stew on interior. We are family for the next six weeks, okay? I’m going to be there for you at every occasion.”

“I sympathize with Cat,” Fraser confesses in his interview. “I want to be there for her, but I’ve been there before, and I know that all I really needed back then was to take a breath, to get myself together, and to come back. And that’s what I’m gonna do for her.”

“F*cking bring it, or go home”

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 4 recap
Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

Later at the bar, Fraser tells Barbie, “We’ve just gotta be fragile with her.” Again he calls Barbie out on her attitude, saying, “I can’t deal with that.”

“You’re a little sassy, too,” she says.

“No, no, wait. I don’t have sass,” Fraser tells her. “When stuff needs to be done, it needs to get done. And if it’s not done greatly, I’m gonna get angry.”

“And I’m not ‘yes, sir’ and ‘no, sir.’ That’s bullsh*t,” she snaps. Yikes! That’s your boss you’re talking to, girl. Show some respect.

“Here we go yet again,” Fraser says in an interview. “I don’t care how good of a stew you are. Where do you get off that this attitude and this approach towards your superior is going to work out for you?”

“You can f*ck off. You want to go against me,” Fraser tells her, “it’s gonna be sh*tty. F*cking bring it, or go home.”

Alrighty, then. Change your attitude, girl. You just can’t talk to your boss that way. Maybe your daddy applauded every little thing you ever did, but nobody else in this world is going to do that. So grow up, do your job, and start showing some respect for others.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8, Episode 14 Recap: Drama in the Dominican

Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8, Episode 14
Photo by: Jai Lennard/Bravo via Getty Images

The gals have gone abroad in Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Potomac. In last week’s episode, Robyn organized a trip to the Dominican Republic. She wanted everyone to focus on fun rather than fake conversations trying to heal their relationships. During the first moments of the trip, Robyn’s fun train nearly got derailed when Gizelle decided to crown Nneka as the new Grande Dame of Potomac.

Karen took it in strides. In her confessional, she laughed off the whole thing. She quipped, “This is no crowning, this is a clowning.”

This week on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8, Episode 14 “Sun’s Out Buns Out,” the Dominican Republic trip continued, and some serious drama started coming to the surface. So much for a fun trip. Here’s what went down in RHOP Season 8, Episode 14.

Let’s talk about Jason

On the first night of the trip, the ‘Wives went night golfing. If golfing is your thing, this would probably be fun. For the RHOP cast, they looked like fish out of water. Everyone except Nneka struggled to hit the balls, and this group would probably be better suited for mini-golf.

While they played around on the green, Mia and Nneka started grilling Gizelle about the status of her relationship with Jason Cameron from Winter House. Gizelle has claimed that they’re in a long-distance situationship, but the ladies wanted to know more. Are they exclusive, and what happens if he pops up on Instagram with some other girl?

Gizelle clarified that they aren’t exclusive, but she would be upset if he randomly started posting another girl on social media. She said they’d had conversations about that, and Jason told her she had nothing to worry about.

Meanwhile, over at Reality Tea, we’ve been following rumors about Jason posting up with a mystery blonde woman. Pictures are floating around social media. We don’t know when they were taken, but Jason might have some explaining to do.

Who’s screwing who?

After golfing and gossiping, the Real Housewives sat down for dinner. Ahead of the episode, Bravo hyped up this dinner like it would be some major event — one of those Housewives dinners we’d talk about for years to come. This wasn’t that.

Dinner kicked off with Gizelle talking about her daughter going to college in Florida. Although she’s attending an HBCU, they talked about how it’s scary to send a Black kid to Florida, considering its tumultuous political climate. Gizelle said that she has faith in Grace’s ability to navigate it all.

Then, Karen started preaching. She got on her soapbox, talking about how they’re a group of women who want to see each other win. It seemed like a nice message, despite coming from someone who had a full-blown meltdown just a few hours prior over not having a private room with an ocean view.

Gizelle had a hard time with Karen’s sermon and jumped in, adding that they should also be able to hold each other accountable when they mess up. Cue the drama.

“At Nneka’s house, you told Mia that she was screwing a rapper and screwing a married man,” Gizelle started. “In years past if I had said that, you would be going on a rampage about, ‘Gizelle is trying to destroy families.'”

Karen fumbled through a weak defense about giving the other girls a taste of their own medicine. In Karen’s mind, they go behind her back and talk about her marriage. The flashbacks proved otherwise.

With Karen on the defense, Mia decided to take things a step further. She dropped a bombshell and claimed she was still sitting on information about the Grande Dame that she hadn’t revealed. Everyone gasped. If Mia already accused Karen of having oral sex in a bathroom with someone other than Ray, what else could she possibly have on her? Mia played coy when pressed about it. Some of the ladies thought she might be bluffing. Regardless, it seemed to get Karen off her back.

Day 2 in the DR

Despite the drama at the first night’s dinner, the second day of the trip delivered some much-needed laughs for both the RHOP cast and everyone watching at home. Robyn arranged a revealing game for the women to play, which uncovered a lot of freaky truths about the Potomac ladies. Robyn challenged everyone to answer a sexually-charged question, and the rest of the crew had to determine if the person answering was telling the truth.

Keiarna revealed that she has explored almost all of her sexual fantasies. She said it happened during a phase. We’ve all been through one of those.

Meanwhile, Nneka was asked which husband she’d rather spend the night with. She could hardly choose between Juan and Gordon. Ultimately, she settled on Juan as the best-looking husband.

One of the cards asked Karen how many sexual partners she had in the last five years. Of course, we’re all expecting the answer to be one. She shouldn’t have been with anyone other than Ray, right?

Instead, Karen responded by announcing that she’s had over 40 partners in the last five years via her wet dreams. Remember in Season 1 when Karen wouldn’t shut up about social etiquette? Now, she’s talking about wet dreams. This show has come so far.

Ashley is finding her voice

After the explicit game, the ladies headed to lunch, and Ashley decided to open up a little bit more about her divorce. She claimed that she felt a little uneasy being asked questions about her sex life, considering how she hadn’t divorced from Michael. This felt hypocritical coming from someone who already had a public relationship with another Bravolebrity. Still, the ladies heard her concerns.

Ashley then opened up about the financial situation that has kept her bound to Michael. We’ve heard this all before, but it’s the first time she told the whole group. She clarified that while Miachel doesn’t give her money, having him in her life gives her a sense of security.

With all of that out on the table, Ashley acknowledged that she needed to cut ties eventually. She hired a confidence coach, not to be confused with a life coach, to help her make steps towards divorcing.

When working with the confidence coach, Ashley said she was challenged to set a goal. You’d think her goal might be to turn a profit on her new clothing line, or to get a new resumé typed up. Instead, she revealed that her new goal is to focus on singing and writing a new song. As if “Coffee & Love” wasn’t enough for our eardrums, she wants to follow it up with another ditty.

Candiace challenged Ashley to give the group a sample of her vocals. She passed Ashley a butter knife to use as a microphone, and Darby’s Barbie rose to the challenge. She sang a few beats of her new song, “Healing & Thriving,” and honestly, it wasn’t horrible. Maybe Candiace and her can do a song together?

The second day of the trip seemed like it was going well. The ladies all laughed about sex. They drank tequila. Ashley sang. But, the good vibes didn’t last long. Once the ladies splintered off into their smaller cliques, the whispering started.

When talking to Gizelle, Ashley, and Mia, Robyn brought up the dinnertime conversation from the night before when they were talking about Gizelle’s daughter going off to college. She asked the other ladies if they noticed how Wendy and Candiace were making faces and giggling during the weighty conversation.

Mia and Gizelle said they both saw it. Gizelle said she felt it too, and she claimed she didn’t want to continue the conversation because she could see Wendy and Candiace being disrespectful. The flashbacks definitely weren’t on Wendy and Candiace’s side — it did seem like they were giving each other shady little glances.

As the credits rolled on the episode, we saw Wendy walking over to the Green Eyed Bandits, who were mid-conversation. Is this trip about to go even further south? We’ll find out next week.

The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 continues on Bravo, Sunday nights at 8/7c.

Summer House Season 8, Episode 2 Preview: Danielle Olivera Is ‘Focusing on Fun’

Nothing says Summer House is back for a new season like Danielle Olivera insisting on having fun. Actually, the same can be said about Winter House Season 3, just with handfuls of Brian Benni’s clothes thrown on the floor for props.

Needless to say, but Danielle is ready for summer 2023 fun. Her previous stint on reality TV the season prior was fraught with emotions. The drama with her bestie, Lindsay Hubbard, over her relationship with Carl Radke culminated with tears. Danielle wasn’t seeing much of her boyfriend, and that fallout was the most obvious in Colorado where Winter House was filmed.

So it’s time to play catch up on all the good times. And the Summer House Season 8, Episode 2 preview indicated that that’s exactly Danielle’s plan.

Danielle’s avoiding housemate hookups in Summer House Season 8

“Last summer was rough, I lost my boyfriend. Then in Colorado, there were some icy conditions,” the app developer said in the exclusive sneak peek of episode two.

Danielle and her boyfriend of two years, Robert Sieber, broke up in November of 2022. The chef moved on very quickly, which had the Summer House star suspicious of overlap in her former relationship.

She hooked up with Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum Alex Propson during Winter House Season 3. Alex decided he needed space, but Danielle was not receiving the message.

Producers added a clip of one of many conversations Alex had with Danielle during the course of that vacation. “I guess where I’m at, is let’s just focus on the friendship,” he said.

That was how the Bravolebrities left it in Colorado, though, it seemed that Danielle wanted more. She did say that the experience got her her mojo back.

So Danielle is riding that wave into the summer of 2023. However, not without some lessons learned about hooking up with a house guest and not checking your emotions at the door.

“So this summer, we’re focusing on fun. Just, definitely not someone under the same roof,” Danielle said in a confessional included in the teaser.

Catch Summer House Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
