Reality TV Stars Demand Justice For George Floyd- Porsha Williams, Garcelle Beauvais, Ariana Madix, & More

Normally, we love to keep things light and make sure our readers are entertained. We know that many people love to escape by reading our website and that’s something we understand. We also know that other times, our readers look to our site for that intersection of reality TV and other important news. Recently, our site has covered different aspects of the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition to the global health crisis, there are issues in this country that cannot be ignored. Recently, reality TV stars have been using their platforms to demand justice for George Floyd, a man who was killed on May 25 when a policer officer named Derek Chauvin shoved his knee into his neck. George told him, “Please, the knee in my neck, I can’t breathe.” According to CNN, witness Donald Williams told the policeman, “Officer, he’s not resisting arrest, you have your knee on him and you have handcuffs on him, he’s detained at this moment.'”

Over the weekend, some of your favorite reality TV stars attended protests. Others encouraged people to take action and speak up.

Garcelle Beauvais declared, “SPEAK UP!!!! Enough is ENOUGH!!! I am #unfollowing anyone who is staying silent on their platform! We need everyone to stand up.” She also shared a video with additional comments.

Ariana Madix told her followers, “saying you’re sad or shocked does not cause change. this is infuriating but this isn’t shocking. it’s been happening and will continue to happen unless we come together and push for reform. put action behind the words. the link in my bio is filled with resources, donation links, and petitions. let’s do this. #blacklivesmatter comments are off bc this isn’t a debate.”

Braunwyn Windham-Burke attended a protest and captioned her photo with “#blacklivesmatter.”

Porsha Williams says she and Dennis McKinley have bail money and lawyers on standby for anyone who got arrested while protesting.

Tanya Sam shared a video of Porsha on the news and wrote, “Thank you for your peaceful and powerful voice friend. I am in tears watching the events of tonight in the city that I love. I pray for peace. Justice. And for all the tired and broken hearts and souls tonight.”

Lisa Vanderpump wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic events of the past few days. This is about our shared humanity. Everybody deserves to feel safe in this country. Everybody deserves to feel valued, and heard. Nobody should have to face the fears that so many people face daily. I feel for each and every person who feels marginalized or persecuted in their community. It is not right. I am a big believer in peaceful protests – it is so important to be able to gather and be heard with regards to the causes you believe in. And this cause, and fighting this injustice is so important. The violence and destruction that accompanied some of these protests is heartbreaking, and it’s devastating to see the hate and the hurt that so many people are feeling. ‘Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.’ Enough is enough.

Jennifer Aydin wrote, “It’s a shame that, in this point in time, these tragic and unnecessary acts of discrimination and loss of life are still happening today, especially from people who are supposed to “protect” us. Actually, those particular “officers” don’t even deserve to be called “people”. They are heartless scum. How can we move forward when we have these tragedies constantly sabotaging all the progress we’ve made, taking us backward??? Who’s life lost will make it enough? Yours? Mine? How about George’s? #Enough! Black does not equal threat! Black does not equal danger! Black is the description of the color of skin, not a description of behavior! So Say his name. George Floyd. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #justiceforahmaud  #amycooper.”

Katie Maloney posted, “Do not be silent!!! Enough is enough, educate yourselves and your friends and neighbors. #blacklivesmatter.” In another post, she declared, “I stand with you.” In a third post, she said, “It’s time to wake up and be honest. It’s not enough to say you’re not racist. Let’s commit to doing the work to make a change!”

Eva Marcille wrote, “#GeorgeFloyd Matters. His life Matters. The manner in which he died Matters. Say his name, speak truth to power. My heart breaks, literally broken…. another, and another and another…. I’m sick, and I cry for you #georgefloyd.” She also shared, “We can’t remain silent. Make noise, raise your voice #GeorgeFloyd matters. His life matters.”

Bethenny Frankel wrote, “To have so much anger inside of you, to hate another person so passionately because of the color of their skin, means your insides are rotten. There is no limit to the hell that these cowards should experience. The public’s reaction of rage feels proportional to this vile injustice yet not justified. What in life is more important than feeling like a worthy, valuable human being versus dispensable? This is an outrage and I am embarrassed to live in a time and a country where this still exists. This is as much of a global reset and tragedy as is the pandemic. #thisisacrisis.” In another post, she wrote, “Stop racism. Stop hate. Stop violence. #STOP.”

Kim Kardashian posted, “For years, with every horrific murder of an innocent black man, woman, or child, I havw always tried to find the right words to express my condolences and outrage, but the privilege I am afforded by the color of my skin has often left me feeling like this is not a fight that I can truly take on as my own. Not today, not anymore. Like so many of you, I am angry. I am more than angry. I am infuriated and I am disgusted. I am exhausted by the heartbreak I feel seeing mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and children suffering because their loved one was murdered or locked away unjustly for being black. Even though I will never know the pain and suffering they have endured, or what it feels like to try to survive in a world plagued by systemic racism, I know I can use my own voice to help amplify those voices that have been muffled too long. #blacklivesmatter #justiceforgeorgefloyd #justiceforahmaudarberry #justiceforbreonnataylor.”

Dorit Kemsley shared, “We all need to do our part. We must unite for a better America, a safer America, a stronger America where ALL people are created equal. I was taught from a young age to love everyone, regardless of color, ethnicity, race, or sexual orientation. It helps when we have these conversations at home with our children. #EqualRightsForAll #ThisMustStop #EnoughIsEnough.”

Robyn Dixon posted, “I pray justice is served. I really can’t believe that I have to explain something like this to my boys; especially on the heels of #ahmaudarbery and #breonnataylor. We must speak up and take action or else history will keep repeating itself! #icantbreathe #justiceforgeorgefloyd.”

Scheana Marie told her followers, “WE NEED CHANGE. Speaking up isn’t enough. WE NEED ACTIONS. Racism needs to END. I will never know what it feels like to be discriminated against like this, but I have SO many ppl in my life who do experience this and it’s NEVER EVER okay! We are all equal! Please continue to spread the word, donate, sign petitions and help make a CHANGE!!! #BlackLivesMatter

Marlo Hampton shared, “School is out, but the lessons continue. OURstory is not always taught at school, so it’s our job to make sure our young men are aware and educated. This week my boys began doing daily research, writing, learning, and sharing about African American male hate crimes. We will continue to learn all summer about black men who have been victims of hateful crimes, but also about Black Male success stories (because there are many), feel free to drop your suggestions below on people and events that they can do their next research papers on.”  In another post, Marlo wrote, “We have to do more than say his name … we need answers and action! This is bigger than a hashtag. Call 612.673.2100 and demand justice for George Floyd. I am praying for his family and friends healing.”

Kristen Doute wrote, “The point I’m making is that this destruction overshadows the thousands of protesters who took to the streets peacefully for justice and nationwide reform. The fact [that] there is video of white men and women, and others who were not related to the protests who took advantage of the situation to destroy and loot small businesses is shameful. and created even more violence for the young women and men of color who are targets already of law enforcement.”

Kandi Burruss told her followers, “I went out of town & now I look online & see what’s happening in my city. It hurts my heart to see this happening. I know we’re all hurting & we want to see change but please remember that Atlanta is the place that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. made his home. Let’s remember the messages that he taught. Peaceful protest, organizing, planning, making sure we vote to get leaders in place that make our nation better for all people is what we have to do. Tearing up our city is not the way. I love y’all! Denise Richards shared, “My heart aches for his family and loved ones & the devastation seeing a visual they’ll never forget & neither should we #justiceforgeorgefloyd.”

Tom Sandoval encouraged people to sign the petition and reach out to District Attorney Mike Freeman. Erika Jayne did the same.

Scheana Marie Says She Never “Rounded All The Bases” With Shep Rose Since He’s Usually Too Drunk

When Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright got married, it was a real Bravo affair. Obviously, there were Vanderpump Rules cast members in attendance and as members of the wedding party, even though Jax regretted some of those decisions. Summer House alums and Shep Rose from Southern Charm attended the wedding as well. Jax and Britany even designated Shep as “the worst wedding guest.”

And now Scheana Marie is sharing her not-so-glowing review of Shep’s wedding… performance, if you will. She admitted that she had every intention of hooking up with him that weekend, but it just didn’t happen, thanks to alcohol.

During a recent interview for the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Scheana shared, “Southern Charm, Summer House, and Vanderpump Rules all sort of cross at times because we’re all genuinely friends with them.” I wish more of this was filmed. Charli Burnett chimed in with “I want a Teresa Giudice crossover.” Same here. Someone fly her out to West Hollywood (post-pandemic, obviously).

An off-camera producer asked Scheana, “Did you hook up with Shep at the wedding?” She responded, No, no, that was definitely an intention. We hooked up like a year before that. We never had sex. [We] did not sleep together.”

Then, she shared some interesting details. Scheana claimed, “He’s not the best at rounding all of the bases. By the time he hits second going onto third base, he’s like too drunk to remember what he’s doing. So, at the wedding, it was like a bunt to first [base] and like the start of a drunken makeout. I can’t, I can’t. I can’t do it. It was so sloppy. And, I love Shep and he’s a sweetheart. And we have so much fun together. He’s honestly one of the funniest people I’ve ever met in my life.”

She added, “We had fun together, but to try and make out drunk and sloppy… I mean the guy was walking into oncoming traffic in Lexington.” How attractive. Scheana recalled, “I was like ‘I can’t, I can’t. No amount of alcohol is gonna make this OK tonight. I can’t.” After Shep’s drunken antics, Scheana admittedly went for one of the groomsmen instead.

Meghan Edmonds Reportedly Contests Prenup As She & Jim Edmonds Try To Finalize Divorce

Meghan Edmonds and her estranged husband Jim Edmonds are en route to having one of the ugliest divorces in Real Housewives history. First, he was caught sexting illicit photos while the Real Housewives of Orange County star was giving birth to their twin sons. They somehow managed to stay together after that, with both of them insisting he never cheated. Meghan even claimed that he wouldn’t cheat on her with someone who looks “disgusting.”

Then, she accused Jim of having an affair with their nanny. He denied it. His daughter bashed Meghan publicly. He started dating a woman that they had a threesome with. They battled it out when Meghan took their kids out of state during the coronavirus pandemic. Meghan accused him of partying in Nashville mid-pandemic. Jim ended up contracting coronavirus. These two just keep getting nastier and nastier.

Jim’s representative A “source” told People that Meghan is contesting their prenuptial agreement. However, it is ironclad, apparently.

The former MLB star’s rep told the magazine, “Jim’s prenuptial agreement is valid, enforceable and generous, and we fully expect it to be upheld. Meghan and her attorney reviewed the agreement several weeks before the wedding and agreed to the terms.”

He added, “Meghan herself has publicly explained the agreement was done at her urging because she didn’t want Jim’s family to think she was trying to take his money.”

Jim’s rep added, “Jim is voluntarily paying Meghan more than three times the amount of child support required by court guidelines.” The rep also shared, “He is letting her live in one of his homes in St. Louis and is paying the mortgage and all the bills for that house. He gives her money for a nanny and housekeeper. He pays for almost every single expense related to the children. And he pays half the rent on her Los Angeles beach house.”

With all of that detail, are we really expected to believe that a random source is the one that leaked that info to People? Sure, Jim. We see right through that. Clearly, Jim and his rep leaked this info.

Ramona Singer Says Dorinda Medley Needs Anger Management Classes

In a surprise to most Real Housewives of New York fans, Ramona Singer has served a voice of reason for most of the current season. However, things are really blowing up for her this week. She turned against her friend of 20 years Elyse Slaine, who responded by sharing screenshots of their private text message conversations. Leah McSweeney called out Ramona for refusing to include her sister Sarah McSweeney on a cast trip.  Leah and Sarah also accused Ramona of “pooping her pants” and “flirting with drunk, married men” at the same time.

On top of that, Ramona is beefing with Dorinda Medley, who has, apparently, taken a break from tearing down Tinsley Mortimer to fight with Ramona on social media. She also thinks that Ramona is “insensitive” to what she’s going through. This off-season fighting is a lot more interesting than the rather boring season we’ve been watching.

During a recent Watch What Happens Live appearance, Ramona admitted, “I really wish now, when I saw that episode when she was really hating on Tinsley at the orchard, that I should have said to her, ‘Shut the duck up’ because, unfortunately, we are all afraid of Dorinda with her anger and she’s just out of control. She needs anger management classes.”

Kandi Burruss Calls Out NeNe Leakes For Writing Reunion Reads Ahead Of Time

When NeNe Leakes stormed out in the middle of the Real Housewives of Atlanta virtual reunion, she left her computer monitor on with a notebook shoved against the screen. On that notebook, were some notes NeNe had on hand for the taping.

It looked to a lot of people that NeNe wrote down pre-planned her reads against her co-stars. So much for being off the cuff, right? Meanwhile, Kandi Burruss seems to be the only one who actually complied with the rules. While the other Housewives admitted to having glam squads at their homes in the middle of the pandemic, Kandi did her own hair and makeup. She also came up with her own insults, off the top of her head too. Unlike some people…

Kandi told Page Six, “I do not write down any of my reads . . . That was off the dome.” And we can all tell, she seems so frazzled when she explodes at the reunions. Then, Kandi alleged, “But some of the girls do practice and write down their reads.”

Kandi continued, “When Nene got mad and closed her computer, you can see part of her notes in there. I died laughing, because I’ve been saying that for years — that some of the girls have been practicing . . . before coming on the show. People thought that I was exaggerating.” And now we all know what’s up. Why would NeNe expose herself by leaving her notebook full of pre-planned lines in front of the camera?

Considering how much NeNe brags about being the only remaining OG on Real Housewives of Atlanta, that’s just such a rookie move. Even NeNe’s biggest haters, expected more from her. NeNe just stays pressed while Kandi keeps on winning.

Anyone following the season may not be surprised that Jenna has become the pariah of the crew.  She was brusque with her team, and engaged in extremely unprofessional PDA with Chef Adam Glick.  There was never a missed opportunity to tell subordinates that they had no right to an opinion, even on crew nights off the boat.  With all the fan backlash, it’s worth questioning whether Jenna has done any retrospection since filming wrapped.

It turns out Jenna is both seeing the error of her ways, but also defending herself against questionable editing.  That seems to be a theme with Bravo shows recently.  Just ask the Southern Charm cast.  Regardless of what viewers may think of Jenna, bullying is never justified, and Jenna says that she has been receiving a lot of hate.

Jenna spoke with In Touch Weekly and explained the situation.  “The stuff that people write is extremely vile,” she said, “it’s hard for me because it’s [about] the way I’m depicted on the show-it’s not who I am as a person.  So it’s very hard to defend myself.”

What’s even more frustrating for Jenna is that she has, “no power” to correct her image and the, “certain persona has been presented”

Does Jenna regret some of her actions on the show?  “Definitely,” the Chief Stew said.  She does acknowledge that she lacked empathy at times.

“I’m very direct, and I do pride myself on my communication, but I think, at times, when I feel frustrated with somebody, I get on the defense,” Jenna explained, “I don’t think I ever spoke in a derogatory way- [but] if I were to go back, I would be a little bit softer in my tone.”

Jenna said she questioned coworkers’ attitudes and performance, without hurling personal insults.  So “bullying” claims are “absurd.”

Maybe it all comes to personal preference on managing styles.  “Some people really like that management style, but I also know that not all people do,” Jenna said, “I really need to [work to] accommodate other people’s way of communicating that may not be the same as my own.”

Jenna did have some positive feedback as well.  She had a touching moment with an ailing charter guest that resonated with fans.  The primary was suffering with cancer, and Jenna had a moving conversation with the woman.  It was after the episode aired that a fan reached out.

“This guy contacted me and said that his mother has Stage 4 cancer and that episode really spoke to him,” Jenna explained, “he said his mom had been given a new energy from watching me.”

Jenna connected with the fan, in an attempt to talk with his mother.  She credits interactions like that for keeping her perspective positive.

Jenna said, “what makes me genuinely feel good is making other people feel good.  I guess it’s difficult for me to feel like I didn’t do that at times.”

Scheana Marie Reacts To Vanderpump Rules Editor Getting Fired; Says Lisa Vanderpump Dismissed Her When She Asked For Help

It’s the second coming of Scheana Marie all! A couple months ago, we received confirmation about something Scheana fans had long suspected. Scheana was deliberately being edited in a negative light by FORMER Vanderpump Rules editor Bri Dellinger, because Scheana didn’t “befriend her” outside of the show. Question: how did Bri even get a job editing on this show if she didn’t graduate from middle-school?

Sure, we all enjoyed watching Scheana, at times, be the butt of a joke. But this past season of Pump Rules producers and editors went too far. They crossed a line when they decided to frame Scheana to look like she was hitting on Stassi Schroeder’s younger brother, Nikolai Czermak. Soon after this, Bri shared she was behind the negative edits. She has since been fired, set her social media to private, and remains unapologetic. Now, #JusticeForScheana can really begin.

As reported by Us Weekly, Scheana spilled her thoughts about the shady editing on Maria Menounos’ “Better Together” podcast. “I think people mistake my kindness for weakness and just think it’s OK to always walk all over me …because I’m such a forgiving person,” Scheana said.

She continued (by stating the obvious), “the bitches are winning! They’re the ones with most followers, they’re the ones with the most job opportunities! I’m not a mean girl. Next season, you’ll see more of that Scheana: more outspoken, confident and secure, and not afraid to tell people how I feel. No one is ever afraid of hurting my feelings, why should I be afraid of hurting theirs?” Seriously! I hope Scheana really brings it if VPR gets renewed.

Menounos asked Scheana if anyone else on the cast noticed her negative portrayal. Scheana said, “it’s not that nobody believed me. I think just, everyone else had it better and nobody cared.” She went on to speak some more truths, “we tend to be in a group of very selfish people who, you know, they care about themselves and how they look and once that looks good … [They say] ‘I’m getting everything I want, so I don’t care.’” I can believe that Scheana’s peers on the show wouldn’t care at all. But, it is a bit surprising that Lisa Vanderpump wasn’t more supportive of her bad edit, according to Scheana.

According to Page Six, Scheana shared, “I went to [LVP] last year and she knew I was really upset with how things were going into last season.” Scheana elaborated on this by talking about what went down in a scene that had Scheana crying in LVP’s kitchen: “the whole scene where they do this stupid montage of ‘I’m not jealous, I’m not jealous, I’m not jealous, I’m not jealous.’ I was crying to Lisa, just like begging her to listen to me.”

To this, LVP said, “oh please, stop it. Be professional. Do your job. Stop breaking the fourth wall.” Lisa’s response is interesting considering the fact that she left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after many years of “bad edits.” LVP also didn’t do her own job when she refused to show up to last year’s reunion. Which was something she blasted Adrienne Maloof for not doing earlier.

Scheana continued, saying, “I’m like, ‘Let’s break the fourth wall. Let’s talk about the real issue. I’m jealous that Dayna [Kathan] is … coming on our show and now is getting to showcase her career when she hasn’t worked a day in her life for this. Like literally, it was just handed to her.” It definitely seems like it. Plus, do we really need to see more of Dayna’s basic standup routine?

LVP “couldn’t be reached for comment,” according to Page Six. The fact that Scheana is even sharing this about LVP is a good indicator that the gloves are off. Let’s hope we see more of Scheana’s “bad side” on the reunion!
