How Ariana Madix’s Pettiness Is Hurting Her

Since March 2023, most of the Bravosphere has been obsessed with Scandoval, specifically how badly Ariana Madix was betrayed. Now, I am totally all about girl power and bashing a loser in aluminum, but at some point, a line was crossed. Now, I’ve started to question whether or not Ariana isn’t being just a bit petty. I want to be Team Ariana, but I am going to need the girl to pull herself together. The Vanderpump Rules star needs to move upwards and onwards without stooping to a low level. But with the current level of Ariana Madix’s pettiness, I’m just not sure it can be done.

Ariana Isn’t The Boss

Even though Ariana may like to believe she is holding all the power and the high ground, the truth is she isn’t. In fact, I think she is forgetting that she is still a co-signer on the Valley Village home she shares with Tom Sandoval. That comes with a ton of responsibilities, meaning she and Tom are entitled to the same rights. Viewers got a front-row seat to the shade being thrown by Ariana, who just recently admitted she won’t be letting Tom control the narrative.

Tom, via his assistant Ann (who needs a raise), expressed that he wanted to throw himself a 40th birthday party, which I get, 40 is huge! Ariana flatly told his assistant, “That’s not happening. I think that’s very disrespectful and inappropriate. If he wants to have a party, he can have it somewhere else.” Ariana went as far as to say, “If there are people here making noise, I will call the cops.” Yikes—way to prove your dominance. What a party pooper.

A Payout Could Be Smart

Instead of making her life easier, Ariana has chosen to share a residence with Tom. I can’t imagine the toxicity that flows through that place. The two stay in separate rooms and refuse to interact. But surely a buyout could be a solid option. Tom has expressed wanting to keep the home, but Ariana doesn’t feel it is fair for her to have to move, but surely, your mental well-being is worth a hell of a lot more than playing petty squatter.

Ariana revealed in a recent episode, “You can’t sell the house unless both people agree to sell the house, but Sandoval wants to buy me out and stay there. And I’m not going to pack up my clothes and hitchhike down the road because Tom offered me a measly sum of money. The fact of that matter is he broke the home. He doesn’t get to do that.” And evidently, neither does Ariana, making no one the winner in this scenario.

Ariana Doesn’t Look Good Ditching Responsibility

Naturally, there are going to be disagreements on who owes who money, especially in a breakup like Tom and Ariana’s. On Vanderpump Rules, Tom revealed, “My bank account was literally overdrawn. Dude, Ariana hadn’t paid any of the bills for, like, fu*king eight months, man,” claiming he was “moving $1,000 around to this account” and “moving $500 from this account” to pay for their mortgage.

During the affair, Tom was seen out about about touring with his band, never once looking financially distressed. But he shared, “I’ve been pretty much paying for everything out of all my accounts. Mortgage, gardener, cleaning, utilities, everything. It’s kind of like pulling teeth to get Ariana to pay me back.”

If the information is true, that is pretty cold and downright irresponsible of Ariana. Doesn’t she know it could totally ruin her and Tom’s credit score? But on the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Ariana did shed some light on her decision-making after they refinanced their home in 2021. “So, basically, I had asked for this itemized breakdown for so long, and he would be like, ‘Oh, you owe X amount of money,’ and I’m like, ‘How did you figure this out?'”

While I understand Ariana’s resistance to paying him any money, she needs to make sure she is not withholding payments because it will only come back and bite her in the ass. So please, Ariana, stop being petty!

Why The Bachelor 2-on-1 Dates Are A Terrible Idea

Bachelor Nation/YouTube

Oh, the dreaded 2-on-1 date. These have been a staple on The Bachelor for many seasons now, although they are an absolutely terrible idea. Now, on, Joey Graziadei‘s season, there was a 2-on-2 date with Maria Georgas and Sydney Gordon. Sure, it was dramatic and compelling, but will it actually help Joey find love? 2-on-1 dates have never gone well on The Bachelor, and this one was no exception. Though it was hard to look away from the messy date, it wasn’t in Joey’s best interest.

2-On-1 Dates Are Not Productive For Anyone Involved

(Bachelor Nation/YouTube)

The main problem with 2-on-1 dates is that they are just not productive. The Bachelor films in an extremely short amount of time, and it is crucial not to waste any minute. 2-on-1 dates do just that, however, as they take up a lot of time without adding anything valuable to the experience. This in turn, takes away from both the lead and all of the contestants.

One of the most infamous 2-on-1 dates in Bachelor history was between Genevieve Parisi and Shanae Ankney, during Clayton Echard‘s season. Shanae had been recognized as the season villain early on, and Genevieve was one of many women who got wrapped into the drama. As a result, Clayton (or producers) thought that it would be a good idea to have the two women go on a 2-on-1 date.

To the surprise of no one, this did not go well. Clayton ultimately decided to send Shanae home, and gave Genevieve a rose. While Shanae’s departure was long overdue at this point, there was no reason why Clayton couldn’t have sent her packing at any other time. On the other hand, Genevieve receiving a rose didn’t quite make sense either. After all, Clayton didn’t really make any progress on he and Genevieve’s actual connection during the date.

The 2-on-1 dates usually occur when there is drama between two of the women. As a result, the lead uses the date as an opportunity to get to the bottom of things and find out who is in the wrong. Neither woman is able to use the date to build a stronger connection with the lead, as they are simply trying to save themselves from elimination. This is counter-productive, and takes precious time away from everyone involved.

2-On-1 Dates Put Strong Connections At Risk

(Bachelor Nation/YouTube)

The other terrible thing about 2-on-1 dates is that they can dampen strong connections. Genevieve was definitely one of the frontrunners on Clayton’s season, although her issues with Shanae got in the way of that. While Genevieve didn’t necessarily do anything wrong, getting caught in the drama ultimately prevented her from strengthening her connection with Clayton.

Unfortunately, history already seems to be repeating itself on Joey’s season. Maria has been a frontrunner since night one, and clearly shares a strong connection with Joey. Sydney, on the other hand, has only been seen talking to Joey about drama that she created. Sydney claims that Maria is a bully, but cannot clearly explain why that is. It’s pretty clear that Maria never did anything to bully any of the women, and that Sydney just seems to have it out for her.

While Joey took Maria’s side during the pool party, he surprised viewers when he decided to give Sydney the final rose. Maria received the second to final rose, which also seemed a bit unfair. Maria has been nothing but supportive of the other women, and no one has stuck up for her. Now Maria’s reputation is at risk, even though she’s done nothing to put herself in that position.

Joe questioning whether he really knows Maria is all a result of Sydney’s ridiculous manipulation, and really puts Maria and Joey’s relationship at risk. This is one of the most frustrating aspects of the 2-on-1 dates, as one of the women usually has a pretty strong connection with the lead. Ultimately, Maria moved forward, but her connection with Joey will always be a little tainted by this.

Every Lisa In Real Housewives Ranked

There’s something about Lisa(s) within the Real Housewives franchise. At this time, four of the most talked about current and former Housewives just happen to share that name. At least three of them would probably make a ‘most iconic Bravo stars of all time’ list.

But only one can be the best of the best. Which Lisa is the most legendary Real Housewife of them all? We’ve ranked every Lisa in the franchise’s history below.

Lisa Wu Hartwell – RHOA

(Photo by Wilford Harewood/NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images via Getty Images)

Remember Lisa Wu Hartwell? The first Lisa on our list was a Real Housewives of Atlanta OG, appearing as a main cast member the first two seasons. However, she never popped in the same way as NeNe Leakes, Shereé Whitfield, or even Kim Zolciak. After she left the show, Lisa became one of the many RHOA alums to have the divorce curse. Now known as Lisa Wu, she showed up as a guest in Season 15.

While she gets points for being an OG, this Lisa just isn’t as talked about as the other Housewives who share her first name.

Lisa Hochstein – RHOM

Thanks to her messy divorce drama, Lisa Hochstein is currently one of the most discussed Housewives. However, does Lisa have much of a storyline outside of estranged husband Lenny Hochstein? Frankly, Lenny seems to be the main topic of conversation between Lisa and her current beau, Jody Glidden.

Additionally, the Real Housewives of Miami star has been guilty of some major missteps with her co-stars throughout Season 6. In a recent episode, Lisa made some inexcusable comments while snapping at Julia Lemigova. And though she’s not quite as audacious as her pal Larsa Pippen, Lisa should also learn how to have empathy. She’s also displayed a real lack of meaningful compassion towards Guerdy Abraira. Based on her actions this season, some RHOM viewers find their sympathy for Lisa waning.

Lisa Rinna – RHOBH

(Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo/NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

RHOBH alum Lisa Rinna might be one of the most polarizing Housewives ever. Love her or hate her, every Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewer couldn’t stop talking about her. That didn’t stop after she left the show before Season 13. If anything, Rinna’s in the spotlight now more than ever.

We’re not sure any other Housewife loved to stir the pot as much as the former soap star. That tendency gave us some of the franchise’s most memorable moments. But it was all fun and games until it really wasn’t. Someone who gave us so many highs and lows feels right at place in the middle of our Real Housewives named Lisa rankings.

Lisa Barlow – RHOSLC

(Photo by: Presley Ann/Bravo via Getty Images)

When it comes to current Housewives, Lisa Barlow is in the top tier. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star won viewers over as soon as she admitted to loving Taco Bell as much as fine dining.

This Lisa is the perfect amount of delusional (insisting she’s relatable to the middle class) and egotistical (“I know I’m very important to God”). She has no self-awareness, but also manages to poke fun at herself. Even her worst moments are endlessly quotable. Lisa even remained entertaining throughout the much-maligned RHOSLC Season 3. She’s overdramatic, eternally watchable, and astoundingly rich. For lots of Real Housewives fans, Lisa Barlow ticks all the boxes.

We’re sure many will be surprised she’s just the runner-up. However, naming Baby Gorgeous the most iconic Real Housewives Lisa would be recency bias. Because the number one Lisa on our list paved the way.

Lisa Vanderpump – RHOBH

(Photo by Rich Polk/Getty Images for Point Foundation )

It’s easy to let Lisa Vanderpump‘s exit from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills overshadow her legacy. After all, Puppygate is one of the most notorious storylines in the franchise. But for eight seasons before that, Lisa was one of THE most iconic Real Housewives ever.

As a Housewife, Lisa was classy, charismatic, stylish, and deliciously over-the-top. The British babe’s saucy one-liners made for much-used GIFs amongst Bravo fans. We’re not sure any Real Housewives home is as iconic as LVP’s Villa Rosa. For viewers who watch the franchise to see the enviable lives of the rich, successful, and famous, Lisa was the perfect star.

Over the years, she’s amassed A-List celebrity fans and friends, including Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga, and Lindsey Lohan. In any Real Housewives parody, you can bet there’s a character obviously based on this Lisa. Even her dogs became pop culture icons.

Lisa Vanderpump is such a legendary Real Housewife that her spin-off also turned into a reality TV juggernaut. Now in Season 11 (!!), Vanderpump Rules is more popular than ever. And Lisa’s got yet another spin-off lined up, titled Vanderpump Villa.

If there’s a Mount Rushmore of Real Housewives, LVP is definitely on it. For all these reasons, and many more, we have to crown her the top Lisa in Housewives history.
