Paris Jackson Calls Out Michael Jackson Biopic as ‘Dishonest’ & ‘Pandering’

The highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic is already making headlines, but not all of them are positive. Paris Jackson, the late singer’s daughter, has called out the Michael Jackson biopic as ‘dishonest’ and ‘pandering.’ As per Vanity Fair, MJ’s daughter had taken to social media, claiming that she had no tangible involvement with the film.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, ‘Michael’ has been in development since 2019, helped by the Jackson estate. The movie is set to be released on April 24, 2026. This decision comes after multiple rewrites and re-shoots due to several legal constraints tied to the Jackson estate.

Actor Colman Domingo, who plays Joe Jackson, recently shared his views on MJ’s kids’ involvement in the film. In an interview at the Venice film festival, he shared that Paris Jackson and brother Prince Jackson were ‘lovely’ and ‘very supportive’ of the production. But, the 28 year old model, actress and singer quickly took to Instagram, setting the record straight. ”Don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in. That is weird,” she said.

Paris clarified that her involvement with the biopic extended only to the early stages of script writing. She had read a preliminary draft, and shared her views on it. The model added that she found the initial draft ‘dishonest’, and had raised concerns about the same. “When they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life. Not my circus, not my monkeys,” she remarked.

Paris openly criticized the creative direction of the film. However, she did highlight that some Michael Jackson fans will likely embrace it. She added, “A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in that fantasy, and they’re gonna be happy with it.”

The question that arises here is this: should the audience choose between honoring a global superstar’s complicated legacy or cater to fan nostalgia?

Charlie Sheen & Denise Richards Mark First Red Carpet Reunion Since Divorce

Charlie Sheen & Denise Richards made their first red carpet reunion since their divorce. The pair, who divorced in 2006, were married for 4 years. Fans were surprised to find the two stars reunite for the Los Angeles premiere of “aka Charlie Sheen”.

As per People, The Netflix premiere of “aka Charlie Sheen” took place on September 4, offering a rare sighting of the former couple together. Sheen and Richards share two daughters, Sami, 21 and Lola, 20. Looked as great together as ever, the famous exes posed alongside the documentary’s director, Andrew Renzi.

Sheen, 60, and Richards, 54, were once a Hollywood power couple, owning red carpets just as well as gossip headlines. Their last public appearance together was at 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Their split ensued the following year. Despite their rocky past, this reunion showed a level of comfort and mutual respect.

For the big night, Sheen opted for a classic look with tartan jacket and jeans, while Denise stunned in a shimmering sequined bandeau top paired with black satin flared pants.

“Aka Charlie Sheen”, a two part documentary, will hit Netflix home screens on September 10. It dives deep into Sheen’s whirlwind life. Ranging from his turbulent career, to his addictions issues, to his journey to sobriety, it covers it all. The documentary also contains candid interviews of long time co-star Jon Cryer, former boss Chuck Lorre, and even his third wife Brooke Mueller, to name a few.

While the reunion between the two stars was brief, the singular red carpet moment carried a lot of weight. Something beyond scandals and headlines, something indicating reflection and healing. An indication that growth can most certainly bring peace, even after what has been a roller-coaster of a life.

Rapper Doechii has a new milestone to celebrate! A new house. She recently took to Instagram to share the news in the most entertaining way possible. The 27 year old Grammy winner revealed her big purchase, along with a playful performance, on September 5.

Doechii (born Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon) did not opt for a traditional house reveal. She did not go for a typical glamorous celebrity house tour or something over the top. Instead she did the honors on Instagram. She asked her fans and followers to rate her delivery of one key phrase for homeowners. “Rate me saying ‘Get out of my house’ in my new house,” she suggested hilariously.

The famous rapper then posted 7 more stories following this post. Each story was a video of her yelling out different variations of ‘get out,’ while standing in her kitchen. What was even funnier was that each story had poll. Her followers were encouraged to judge her performance with options like: Needs more passion. Overzealous. Has urgency but lacks accuracy. There were many more, all funny, and the last one read, ‘Stop posting these.’ This humorous interaction gave netizens a peek into Doechii’s humor and her playfulness at home.

The videos gave a glimpse of her new kitchen. It features a teal tile backlash, open shelving and sleek modern finishes.

This year has been a rather busy one for the popular performer. In February, she won her first Grammy for Best Rap Album with Alligator bites never heal. The following month, she was honored at the GLAAD media awards as Outstanding Music artist. She made jaws drop at the Met Gala 2025 by showing up in a Louis Vuitton look designed with Pharrell Williams.

During the summer, she performed at the Lollapalooza, to a massive crowd. Doechii also took this opportunity to announce her headlining tour which is set to kick off from October 14 in Chicago. Reflecting on her whirlwind year, she told People, “Truly. All of my dreams have become a reality, and I feel like I am walking in a dream.”
