Big Brother 2017 Spoilers: When Does Big Brother 19 Premiere?

Big Brother 19 fans: get ready to tell your loved ones that you cannot engage in social activity until late September/early October. The chilly weather may make it seem like summer is far away, but it’s not. Every Big Brother fan knows that summer means one important thing: the premiere of Big Brother 2017.

Big Brother 17 host Julie Chen (Entertainment Tonight/CBS)

Big Brother 19 is one of the summer’s most highly anticipated premieres. Yesterday, CBS published the official press release for its major summer programming.

It revealed that Big Brother 19 premieres on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 8/7c. The 2-hour premiere will be followed by an hour episode on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 9/8c, and then a Sunday episode on July 2, 2017 at 8/7c.

Big Brother 19 starts its regular three-night, hourly episodes on July 5, 2017.
This season Big Brother continues its regular routine of 8/7c Wednesday and Sunday episodes, and a Thursday, probably live eviction episode, at 9/8c.

Big Brother 2017 premieres a week later than Big Brother 18. This could mean that Big Brother will air a few episodes less than last year, which likely means less houseguests or more double evictions. We’d prefer the latter. It could also just mean that CBS plans to end even later than last year, which could take the series into October 2017.

Big Brother 18 started with a two-night premiere, so changing it to one night seems to lean more towards the possibility of less houseguests.

Per usual, Big Brother fans can access live feeds through CBS All-Access. This costs about $6 a month for commercial filled programming, and almost $10 a month for commercial-free programming. For those new to Big Brother, CBS All-Access grants you access to all 18 prior seasons, and the infamous Big Brother Over the Top.

Big Brother fans can rejoice in knowing that Julie Chen will continue her hosting duties during Big Brother 2017.

Currently, CBS is auditioning future contestants, so rumors about twists and returnees shouldn’t start until closer to May or June.

Harry Hamlin is Lisa Rinna‘s constant protector – her beacon against the storm of criticism and the stalwart counselor she seeks to find balance (or wait – maybe that’s Xanax smoothies). And Harry always seems to be defending his wife over her behavior on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.

Lisa reportedly got ripped apart at the recently taped reunion, and this week, Harry told Andy Cohen that people need to take a Xanax and caaaaalm down.

Defending Lisa’s near death comments about Kim Richards, Harry said, “You have got to go back and look at the words.”

Harry added that Lisa‘s statement was taken “out of context.”

“She never said, ‘Kim’s this close to death.'” Harry continued, “It sounds like that, but it wasn’t that. She never said Kim was ‘this close.’ What she was referring to was what Kyle [Richards] said about the fact that she was waiting for that phone call to come sometime late at night. She was terrified of that.”

It turns out it was also Harry who disastrously advised Lisa to give Kim that stuffed bunny as a peace offering/gift for her grandson during Carnie Wilson’s Counseling Cheesecake Party.

“The sins of the grandparents, don’t put it on the kid,” Harry explained. “If it’s from your heart, give it to Kim, and she will accept it from the heart, and then we know what happened.” He really doesn’t know much about how Housewives works if he doesn’t think sins carry.

Finally, Harry denies that his wife is actually putting Xanax in smoothies. Was that taken out of context too? Hyperbole? Anyway, “There has never been a Xanax in a smoothie,” he insisted on WWHL, “and there is a little bit of Xanax for flying long distances. The two have never come together.”

Well when the Hamlins away, the Rinna will play…and Harry seems to be away quite frequently. He better watch his pies a little better in the future.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills took their drama to Hong Kong last week, leaving Erika Girardi and Dorit Kemsley facing off in the blurry haze of a junk boat. Since the RHOBH reunion filmed last week, Erika says that she and Dorit are just hunky dory now. Or something like that…

Despite reunion hype of crying, screaming, and a walk-off (which Erika also confirms happened), the XXXpen$ive singer says, “I walked out the reunion feeling great. I’ve spoken with all the girls afterwards. I don’t harbor any ill will, but you’d have to ask others how they feel, but for me, I feel fine.”

On her beef with Dorit in Hong Hong, Erika tells TooFab that it was a long time coming – ever since PantyGate, specifically. Erika says, “Well, a lot of time has passed since #PantyGate, and I think she realizes exactly what I said, which was the more you talk about shit, the worse it gets. She understands that things tend to have a life of their own and they’re constantly repeated, and while it was a joke, I was the brunt of the joke, and then they would not let the joke go, so that’s really where the issue is with that.”

But most hard feelings are in the past now, according to Erika. She claims, “I would definitely say we’ve come a long way since then. I think that Dorit has learned a lot through her first season. I think that she’s figured it out. It’s tough when you come in and you’re new and you navigate this whole group and you navigate being on television.”

Erika adds that their relationship has taken a step in a positive direction since the reunion, and she’s hopeful for more progress.

Although the reunion was a mess for most, Erika argues that it wasn’t nearly as bad as last year’s. Why? Because Yolanda Foster-Hadid wasn’t there, who Erika still defends as being very ill at the time. She offers, “Last year had Yolanda who was fighting a real illness. No one here is sick, so you really can’t compare that. The level of seriousness last year … it was much more serious. I mean, she was ill, this year people are just pissed at each other.”

Despite that, Erika jokes that “there are tears and all that kind of dramatic shit” at the season 7 reunion anyway. So, business as usual!

Not tipping her hand about why she breaks down in tears in next week’s episode, Erika only hints that “it’s something personal in my life. It has nothing to do with the women in the group.” I guess we’ll have to take bets on why the purported “ice queen” cracks. Any guesses? Maybe we can get our own March Madness bracket going!

Terra Jole Wonders If Her Friendship With Elena Gant Is Done For Good? Talks About Health Issues After DWTS

Terra Jole has been feeling the wrath of her friends ever since returning from Dancing With The Stars – especially from former bestie and cast mate, Elena Gant. The Little Women: LA star and producer isn’t sure if it’s jealousy, bitterness, “I told you so” syndrome – or an unhealthy mix of all three. Whatever the case may be, she sure hasn’t been feeling the love. She has, however, been healing from the many health issues she faced as a result of competing on DWTS only weeks after having a C-section.

Terra breaks down the episode, beginning with uncharacteristically kind words for cast mate (and sworn enemy!) Christy McGinity Gibel, who sadly suffered a mini-stroke during neck surgery that left her with multiple health hurdles to overcome. Terra offers, “When it comes to Christy, it is really crazy to see the chaos that she’s having to deal with and I honestly wish her good health.”

In her PEOPLE blog, Terra shares her thoughts on seeing Briana Renee and Elena in a sex shop next: “They have me dying. The last thing I want to think about is Briana’s sex life, but it’s nice to hear she’s working on her marriage. Question though … what is Matt [Ericson] doing?”

No worries! Matt is just setting up that new Tinder password and snapping a pic and…oh, never mind! It’s all good.

As for Briana’s sudden wish to have another baby? Terra doesn’t mince words: “And … another baby, Briana? Really? Girl, bye.”

The real issue Terra has faced since her return from DWTS is how to put her life back together. With hubby Joe Gnoffo barely able to take care of himself – let alone two small children and now a recovering wife – and bestie Elena icing her out, Terra isn’t sure what the future holds.

“Elena still having issues with me doesn’t make sense. The dance has ended, and I’m curious if our friendship has as well,” defends Terra. “It’s hard to see Elena be so negligent to our friendship. I would love to hear her care, but instead it feels like she is trying to teach me a lesson. How am I supposed to learn a lesson if she won’t even discuss the details?”

“But while she’s trying to figure out whether our friendship will ever be the same, I’m at home recovering from surgery. The procedure is done and man, I looked rough! I remember vividly just how horrible I felt and how grateful I was for Joe. He helped me so much through the surgery and made me realize again why I love him so much. Not being able to pick up your own children is torture, but we’re making it work.”

So, where does the future of Terra and Elena’s friendship stand? Terra admits she just doesn’t know ~~even though they have already filmed an entire season together~~.

She closes with gratitude for the friends who did stand by her, “Anyhow, I love that Tonya [Banks] and Briana came to support me after my surgery. They are such good friends and I’m grateful they showed love. I’m sad that Elena didn’t make it, and even emotional. I’m really not sure how we are going to work it out from here.”

How Dorinda Medley’s Life Has Changed Since Becoming A Housewife; What To Expect From Season 9 & Tinsley Mortimer

I have been counting down until Real Housewives of New York returns ever since the initial trailer was released. I am interested to see how they all interact after some pretty dark story lines and heated reunion episodes last season.

In a recent interview, Dorinda Medley opened up about what to expect from the new season and new housewife, Tinsley Mortimer. She also talked about how RHONY has changed her life and revealed that she considered joining the cast at the very beginning.

I always wondered why Dorinda joined the show so late in the game if she’s been longtime friends with Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps. She revealed that she was actually in talks to join the cast before it even became a part of the Real Housewives franchise. Speaking to Kate Casey on her Reality Life podcast, Dorinda said, “I was friends and am friends with a bunch of the girls. When they were starting it, it was called Moms of Manhattan.”

On why she did not join when the idea first came to her attention: “I wasn’t on it because I was a single mom and they were sort of floating it around to a bunch of people. I went on the couple of shows just as guest appearances, but it just didn’t fit into my life then because Hannah was at sort of a private school, I was a single mom.”

Dorinda also shared that she didn’t really get the appeal to the viewers. “To be honest with you it just didn’t make sense to me. I was like, ‘Why would people want to sit around watching us go to lunch?’ It was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.”

Dorinda shared how Ramona convinced her to join the cast after the death of her husband: “When he passed, Ramona came up to me and was like, ‘I think Andy [Cohen] is interested. Would you be interested in just trying it out and doing it for a season? What are you going to do Dorinda?’ because Hannah had left for college. Ramona was an amazing anchor for me after Richard died. She was just there one hundred percent.”

She added, “Lu was like, ‘Come on just try it.’ So I just thought ‘Here we go. I’m going to change the paradigm again.’ And I just sort of threw my hat in the wind. It’s kind of funny. I was at Richard‘s grave on his birthday when they made me the offer. I thought, ‘Alright this is a sign. I’m going to give it a shot.'”

Even though she was hesitant about joining, Dorinda revealed that the show actually helped her a lot after her husband passed away. “The overall is that it’s been the most wonderful thing that happened because it forced me to get back out there. It forced me to have a schedule again, to move my life forward, to be with these women, to be exposed to a whole different life which now I enjoy.”

Of course, she was asked about her infamous boyfriend John Mahdessian. Pretty much everyone on this show has taken issue with John for some reason. It doesn’t bother Dorinda though. “It doesn’t matter what a thousand other people think. Nobody likes anything mean to be said about anybody you care for, but you know you just have to kind of take it with a grain of salt. To tell you the truth, I think it kind of makes your relationship stronger or destroys it.”

The controversy doesn’t seem to be a big deal to Dorinda. She explained that she likes to keep her romantic life and her social life separated. “I know people don’t believe this, but I see him two or three times a week. I really have tried desperately to keep my own life, keep my girlfriends. That’s one thing I didn’t do with Richard. I kind of became all about Richard which is what he needed. When that doesn’t work out, it’s hard to climb back a little bit.”

Dorinda even keeps John and her daughter Hannah separated. “It sort of is what it is. Now that Hannah has moved out, it’s less intensified.”

Even though there were rumors that new girl Tinsley wasn’t cutting it, Dorinda says, “Tinsley came on. She’s fantastic. She’s interesting. I didn’t know Tinsley at all so it was interesting getting to know her.” The fans can judge for themselves when the show returns.

Last season was chock full of drama. Personally, I was living for it, but Dorinda admitted, “I think last year may have been a little bit dark.”

About next season, Dorinda said, “It was a slow start.” She added, “We still have our things, but it’s not dark. Last year, none of us could barely stand each other at the reunion. This year, we will probably all go out to dinner.” Let’s hope that doesn’t translate to boring. I’m all for my Real Housewives being friends, but I don’t want to watch a whole season of kumbaya.
