Ariana Grande Has Felt Like a ‘Specimen in a Petri-Dish’ Since 17

Ariana Grande has recently revealed how she does not “invite” criticisms about her looks. The singer-actor also opened up about how she copes with the pressure of society’s beauty standards. Cynthia Erivo and Grande, the lead stars of “Wicked,” sat down for a candid interview with Sally, a French content creator and journalist.

During the heartfelt new episode of “Oui Oui Baguette,” Grande noted she has been in the public eye like “a specimen in a petri dish” since she was young. The 31-year-old shared she has faced all kinds of criticism and said, “I’ve heard every version of it, of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons.” 

Ariana Grande feels society always finds reasons to comment on people’s looks

Ariana Grande shared it is hard to protect oneself from all the “noise” when they are young. People talk about their appearance, among other things. The singer noted the judgment doesn’t stop there. Even at gatherings like Thanksgiving, there would be someone to point out if a person had gotten skinnier or heavier. Grande added, “That is something that is uncomfortable and horrible no matter where it’s happening, no matter the scale it’s happening on.” 

Grande continued to highlight that today’s society has the “comfortability” to comment on other people’s looks and appearances. They even speculate what is going on “behind the scenes, or health,” or how an artist presents themselves. Grande said, “I think it’s dangerous for all parties involved.” Following that, she shared how she is “really lucky” to have her “support system.” Grande added she trusts that she is “beautiful,” but she knows “what the pressure of that noise feels like.” 

Ariana Grande continued that criticism and judgments have been a “resident” in her life since she was 17. However, she added, “I just don’t invite it in anymore.” The actor continued, “It’s not welcome. I have work to do, I have a life to live, I have friends to love on, I have so much love, and it’s not invited. So I don’t leave space for it anymore.” 

Grande then noted the ways to protect oneself from the “noise.” The singer said, “Whether it’s at a family reunion or online, you got to block people. I don’t care if you have to delete the app entirely, you keep yourself safe, because no one has the right to say s—.”

Here’s Why Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Doesn’t Want Kody at Family Gatherings

It shouldn’t surprise Kody Brown that he is no longer being included in family gatherings hosted by Janelle Brown. Arguably the duo once had the strongest marriage out of all the Sister Wives, but after Janelle’s patience finally wore thin, she lost all ability to give a damn about the polygamous patriarch. Now she is making sure to keep her loved ones far from the frantic reach of Kody.

Kody Brown wasn’t welcome at his daughter’s party

The most recent episode of Sister Wives showed the family, minus Kody and Robyn Brown, celebrating Savanah Brown’s graduation from high school. In years past, the Brown family would host elaborate parties complete with a musical dance number that definitely embarrassed the kids. This time around, it was a bit smaller as the family had splintered off into separate sects. Savanah was surrounded by those who loved her, including Christine Brown and many of her older siblings. Noticeably missing was the father of 18.  

For years, Kody has been self-sabotaging his relationships. In Kody’s mind, he believed he would have been extended an invite but then asked to leave his fourth and favorite wife at home. The delusion ran deep with this one, as that was far from the truth. For years, Sister Wives viewers have watched as Kody alienated many of his older children, who now choose not to speak with the patriarch. TLC cameras caught the extended family having a great time while Kody babbled about how unfair the entire situation was in his private confessional. But even amid his anger, he still didn’t take a moment to wish his daughter a hearty congratulations. 

Janelle Brown spills some hard truths

The mother of six didn’t think twice about not inviting her ex-husband to the gathering for their 18-year-old daughter. Janelle revealed that “Kody is alienated from 90 to 95 percent of his children. He is not really wanted at events. He is not coming regardless of who he brings or doesn’t bring with him.” But Kody loves to rewrite history. The comment seemingly ended Kody’s idea that he would be invited places, but Robyn would be left out. It turns out it isn’t all about Robyn. Janelle added, “Kody has this idea that somehow if he leaves Robyn home, he’s going to be able to come to these family gatherings. And that’s so far from the truth.”

During the episode, I had to question if Kody didn’t understand the ramifications of his actions. In his own confessional, he opened up, sharing, ​“I’d like to be a part of Savanah’s life, but it’s like they’re in this collusion that seems to hate Robyn, and I don’t know why other than, well, they’re jealous,” he said. “I’ve got this whole other side of the family that have decided that they’re still a family and we’re out. Now, they’ll let me in that club as long as I leave Robyn behind. I can’t do that.” As a viewer, it feels like Kody enjoys the turmoil because, in his mind, it makes him the victim. 

Kody Brown has a long history of alienating his family 

Even though social media proves that Kody attended Savanah’s graduation, his attempt has not repaired their relationship. During the same episode, Sister Wives fans saw a side to Kody that his four wives often spoke about. While discussing the Coyote Pass drama, he noted Janelle “would screw me if she could.” The comment didn’t sit well with viewers. But the polygamous patriarch went even further, noting, “She doesn’t trust me because she would screw me if she could. That’s what I believe. Okay, And I’ll be honest, I’ve thought about screwing her. Okay, so I’m being honest.”

It’s no wonder Janelle didn’t want Kody at any of her family gatherings. Kody has never been a safe place for her or the children. And his immature comments goes to prove the hypothesis. Kody has been secretive about a lot of stuff, including Coyote Pass. The wives finally learned Kody had a lot to gain from the sale since he was on all four of the plots. Janelle is creating boundaries in an attempt to protect herself and her children from a madman’s plan to hold onto any control.

90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2 Premiere’s Most Shocking Revelations

90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2 has officially kicked off. Season 2 features six 90 Day Fiancé couples from all different spin-offs and backgrounds. The one thing that these couples do have in common, however, is their relationship problems. These couples have struggled with everything from financial and trust issues to infidelity. They have three weeks to try to save their relationships by participating in various kinds of therapy. At the end of the three weeks, the couples will decide whether or not to stay together during the Recommitment Ceremony.

The Season 2 premiere revealed shocking information about many of the couples. While some of these revelations were expected, others came out of left field. These four were by far the most surprising bombshells of the night. 

Ariela Weinberg moved to Ethiopia to get away from Biniyam Shibre

So far, Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre seem to be the most strained couple at the resort. During the premiere, Ariela revealed that their relationship fell apart after moving to America. She explained that she had evidence of Biniyam cheating on her with another woman, which was a shock of its own. The real surprise, however, was where Ariela went to get some space from her husband.

Instead of moving elsewhere in the US, Ariela took her and Biniyam’s son Aviel to Ethiopia. This was surprising, as Ariela only lived in Ethiopia while Biniyam was there. Ariela’s family is in the US as well, so, interestingly, she chose to go be with Biniyam’s family instead. Biniyam didn’t have any part in this trip and remained in Las Vegas while his wife and son traveled to his home country.

Florian Sukaj came home with make-up on his shirt after an evening out

Another bombshell moment from the premiere involved Stacey Silva and Florian Sukaj. Stacey revealed that she and Florian were having a lot of issues, especially with trust. A year before The Last Resort was filmed, Stacey had been very ill. She hoped that Florian would be by her side throughout her recovery but was disheartened to find him more focused on partying. 

Shortly before going to Arizona for filming, Stacey caught Florian coming home with make-up on his shirt. This implies that he was dancing with another woman, while he was out partying in Miami without Stacey. Florian denied that it meant anything serious and claimed it was just from a random drunk girl trying to hug him. Hopefully, Stacey and Florian can use the retreat to work through these issues once and for all. 

Josh Weinstein slid into Sophie Sierra’s DMs

Josh Weinstein came to the retreat with Natalie Mordovtseva but already seems to have a case of wandering eyes. During the Happy Hour meet-up, Sophie Sierra told some of her fellow cast members that Josh had DM’d her on Instagram. Josh allegedly sent Sophie heart-eye and fire emojis after sliding up on pictures she took at the gym. After that, he even went as far as inviting Sophie to Las Vegas! This was crossing a line, as Sophie is married to Rob Warne. 

The most shocking thing about this reveal is that Josh and Rob are actually close friends. It didn’t seem like the two knew each other before filming, so the retreat is likely where they met. The men post content together on social media regularly, along with Jamal Menzies. It will be interesting to see how Josh’s flirting with Rob’s wife turns into the men becoming friends.

Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina are no longer on the same page about having kids

Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina were one of the more surprising couples to join the Season 2 cast. These two always seemed to get along well and never had too many issues. During the premiere, however, Brandon admitted what had brought them to the retreat. While Brandon was ready to have kids, Julia claimed that she no longer wanted them. This was a shock for Brandon, as Julia had initially told him she wanted a family.

Kids are a pretty big topic that needs to be agreed on in any romantic relationship. Understandably, Brandon feels blindsided, especially after Julia initially agreed to have kids. On the other hand, however, it’s also understandable that Julia may have changed her mind. She didn’t reveal her reasoning but there’s a good chance it’s valid. This is an important issue to solve, so hopefully the therapists can help Brandon and Julia get back on track.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie raised the temperature in corpcore fits for their Glamour Magazine cover shoot. The duo took power dressing to a whole new level in chic ensembles, which they paired with eye-catching jewelry pieces. They also rocked some vibrant gowns for one of the looks, incorporating floral elements with a mix of fabrics and patterns.

For their latest Glamour Magazine cover, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie went for a corporate set-up, looking fabulous in corpcore outfits. While Hilton opted for a Jacquemus top and skirt combo, Richie stunned in a Ferragamo jacket and skirt. The “House of Wax” star accessorized with Wempe earrings and necklace and Saint Laurent peep-toe heels, with her friend matching her energy in Jimmy Choo pointed-toe heels and jewelry pieces from Chopard, Boucheron, and Wempe.

Hilton and Richie didn’t stop at that as they made it more eclectic with two vibrant Ronald Van der Kemp dresses. The DJ-singer kept her bling minimal for this look and paired her colorful number with a pair of Chopard earrings, with Richie pairing hers with pieces from Graff, House of Harlow, and Boucheron. However, their most fun look has to be the one with the Marc Jacobs top-skirt combo and dress. The oversized ensembles with structured shoulders had a quirky look, with the duo pairing them with some dramatic earrings.

In the Glamour Magazine interview, Hilton and Richie touched upon the Y2K style resurgence and the influence they had on the same. While they can’t agree with all the interpretations of early 2000s style, they couldn’t deny that it was the “most fun time in fashion.” Moreover, Hilton revealed that she still has several pieces from that era in her wardrobe. Commenting on her style back then, she said, “It was so out there and so extra.”
