What We Know About Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix’s Living Situation

After everything that went down in March after Scandoval broke, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval still share one roof as they try to navigate their catastrophic breakup. Vanderpump Rules viewers learned that the TomTom co-owner had been unfaithful to his partner of nine years, choosing instead to have a roll in the hay with Rachel Leviss.

Since the news of their split, both have been trying to keep their distance from one another, but it is hard when you both are still living in the same home. Viewers can’t even begin to start to imagine just how hard it must be to share a homestead. But when you’ve worked so hard to have your dream life and keep a roof over your head, it is understandable that neither wants to walk away from that sort of investment.

Everything To Know About Tom and Ariana’s Home

In 2019, Tom and Ariana took their relationship a step further when they purchased a home in the Valley Village area. The popular neighborhood in Los Angeles is located within the San Fernando Valley and is popular amongst reality TV stars.

At the time, the former SUR bartenders paid $2.075 million for their five-bedroom house, a major update from the apartment they once shared. The modern farmhouse, which has often been the setting for series episodes, was built in 2018 and features a gourmet kitchen where Tom often mixed drinks, a swimming pool, a waterfall, and an infinity spa.

Technically, Tom and Ariana still live in the same house together. However, Ariana made it clear during the Season 10 reunion that they were keeping their distance from each other and had a go-between person for communication. Ariana expanded on how she and her former lover were navigating shared accommodation, telling Andy Cohen at the reunion, “He’s been staying in the guest room, and I avoid run-ins at all costs.”

Ariana continued, “We have people running interference and go-betweens to prevent that.” For Tom’s part, when he finally got a word in edge-wise, he shared he was living at the Valley Village home “on and off.” Ariana later spoke to the Los Angeles Times about why she couldn’t just move out and live somewhere else, sharing, “I can’t afford to do that. I pay a hefty mortgage.”

The former couple are both responsible for the mortgage, with Ariana revealing, “We are 50/50 on that. And I’m not going to shell out more money because of someone else’s sh*t. And I have my dog and cat, and I’m not gonna leave them there alone.”

Ariana Plans To Sell

Ariana has already made it clear to Andy on Watch What Happens Live that her “plan is to sell the house. I want my money out of that house as quickly as possible, and I want to move on.” Even though some find it weird that Tom and Ariana are currently sharing the 4,453-square-foot living space, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney did it first!

Recently, Ariana replied to a fan’s comment explaining exactly where her thought process was when it came to choosing to share her home with her ex. Ariana stated, “I live in a home that I own while working with my lawyer and financial advisors to navigate the best path forward before uprooting my dog and my elderly cat and causing more trauma to the three of us.” While not rushing a move makes sense to an extent, some fans took to the comments questioning her decision.

Some followers felt that her reasoning had to be “fake,” with many pointing out she has clearly made a dollar or two from all her endorsements and could easily buy out Tom. However, it is important to remember that Tom used his half of the house as collateral for his bar, so the paperwork wouldn’t be so cut and dry. Not to mention, the interest rates in Southern California are not great. For now, Ariana and Tom will have to remain roommates until something can be sorted.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK TOM AND ARIANA SHOULD SELL THEIR VALLEY VILLAGE HOME?

Below Deck Mediterranean Seasons Ranked

Hannah Ferrier Joao Franco Below Deck Mediterranean

Below Deck Mediterranean is the first spin-off to hail from the highly viewed Below Deck series. Premiering on Bravo on May 3, 2016, seven seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean have since aired. In addition, Season 8’s release date is expected for later this year.

Unfortunately, Below Deck Mediterranean has had its fair share of polarizing main cast members. Love them or leave them at the dock, these characters either made viewers turn off their screens, cheer, or, watch obsessively in total fascination. If you’re anything like me, you were also of the “scrolling social media for hot takes” kind during the seasons that felt the most divisive.

These heated and differing reactions means that ordering each season for its likability will be a bit subjective. With that disclaimer in place, these are our rankings for the first seven seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean. To paraphrase Captain Lee Rosbach, please don’t eat my a** for dinner.

#7) Season 7 Fell Flatter Than Dave White’s Pancakes

Dave White/Instagram

Season 7 was overall a must miss. Chief Stew Natasha Webb‘s flirtations with Chef Dave White turned toxic due to her on-again, off-again boyfriend on land. She asked Dave to keep their boatmance a secret, toying with his feelings in the process. His behaviors then grew somewhat dark, making this season not fun to watch.

While Chef Dave was skilled, he had a few missteps. One specifically saw him not understanding a guests pancakes request, making crepes instead. As for the remaining crew, while some were great, it was an overall snoozefest. We therefore are ranking Season 7 at the bottom, though it works well as background noise when needed.

#6) Season 6 Hit Rough Waters

Katie Flood/Instagram

Season 6 provided a bit more entertainment value than Season 7. This was the first season post Hannah Ferrier‘s firing to begin with a new Chief Stew. While Hannah’s replacement, Katie Flood, was kind, she struggled to make executive decisions within her department. In her care was Stewardess Lexi Wilson, aka one of the most difficult Below Deck personalities to date.

Lexi was incredibly lazy, and she fought often with Chef Mathew Shea. She crossed a line when telling him “Your parents should’ve aborted you” just prior to threatening violence. Mathew was also a polarizing cast member, but unlike Lexi, he wasn’t fired. Overall, Season 6 just left us feeling “meh,” so it earns a spot at number six.

#5) Season 1 Has Almost Been Forgotten

Tiffany Copeland/Instagram

As far as inaugural seasons go, Below Deck Mediterranean Season 1 was decent. Viewers were introduced to the now infamous Chief Stewardess Hannah, deckhand Bobby Giancola, and the humorous Chef Ben Robinson. This was also the only season to not be led by Captain Sandy Yawn, as the now-late Captain Mark Howard controlled the wheelhouse.

This leadership change would likely see Season 1 ranked much higher by many, but we are trying to be subjective…it’s hard.

The crew’s interactions this season felt lacking. Apart from Danny Zureikat‘s firing, no one really talks about this season much. Therefore, it’s landing just below middle grounds at spot number five on our Below Deck Mediterranean rankings.

#4) Season 2 Brought The Drama

Below Deck Mediterranean/Instagram

Season 2 saw the return of Hannah and Bobby. It also introduced viewers to a slew of future reoccurring cast members, such as Captain Sandy, Malia White, Adam Glick, and Bugsy Drake. This season, we learned that Bugsy wanted Hannah’s position (foreshadowing…), and we saw a heated love triangle form between Adam, Malia, and Wesley Walton.

Basically, Season 2 saw a lot of lies and drama unfold. This was also where Captain Sandy’s initial dislike of Hannah was formed, and stayed… We are only ranking this season at the number four spot, as the love triangle dragged on for far too long.

#3) Season 3 Brought Multiple Boatmances

Below Deck Mediterranean/Instagram

Season 3 felt like the love-boat, which honestly was pretty entertaining to watch. Hannah and Chef Adam returned. They were joined by João Franco and Colin Macy-O’Toole, two new cast members who would also go on to star in future seasons. Onboard, João was conflicted between Brooke Laughton in her “grandma’s bathing suit” and the witty Kasey Cohen, while Hannah had her first (and only) boatmance with Conrad Empson.

A bromance also formed between Colin and João, which helped to lighten several scenes. Overall, Season 3 earns a spot at number three in our Below Deck Mediterranean ranking.

#2) Season 4 Brought Fun

Nastia Surmava/Instagram

Season 4 almost made it to our top selection, as it was just so fun overall to watch. The entire interior team got along well, which is rare. A sweet, nontoxic boatmance even took place between the hysterical Jack Stirrup and the now highly beloved Aesha Scott.

Colin and Joao returned, and three different chefs were seen. The first one, Mila Kolomeitseva, was fired after Episode 5, because she (likely) lied on her resume, licked steaks, and couldn’t even make nachos. Stewardess Anastasia Surmava stepped up to replace Mila before Chef Ben finally returned to save the day.

We loved Season 4, and were it not for the series-changing events that took place in Season 5, it would have been our top pick.

#1) Season 5 Forever Changed This Series

Hindrigo Lorran (KiKo)/Instagram

Oh Season 5, where do we even begin? During this season, Captain Sandy’s longstanding dislike of Hannah partnered up with Maritime Law and Malia, leading to Hannah’s firing. Here, Hannah was found (by Malia) to have (a prescribed bottle of) Valium and a CBD pen onboard, and the rest was history. The returning Bugsy also got to see her dream realized, as she slid into Hannah’s position.

Captain Sandy also unfairly fired (our bias is showing, not sorry) Chef Hindrigo Lorran, aka KiKo, just prior to Hannah, cementing many viewers dislike of Captain Sandy for good. But again, this is a polarizing take, as she’s opening doors for women in a male-dominated industry, and that should not be made small.

Either way, as Season 5 still has many people talking, it lands in our top spot as the best season on Below Deck Mediterranean.

The Most Despised Big Brother Houseguests of All Time

What would Big Brother be without a few villains? Each year, a player or players stir up enough trouble in the house to get labeled a villain. Some villains are beloved by fans (see Dr.Will Kirby), while others are not so lucky. Let’s take a look at some of the most despised Big Brother houseguests of all time.

Paul Abrahamian (Big Brother 18 & Big Brother 19)

(Photo by Sonja Flemming/CBS via Getty Images)

Fans first met Paul Abrahamian in Big Brother 18. The California native rubbed some fans the wrong way with his aggressive gameplay style and over-the-top personality. However, many fans came to his defense when the jury rewarded Big Brother alum Nicole Franzel with the $500,000 prize over Paul. Fans felt that a bitter jury robbed Paul of a well-deserved win.

The runner-up returned to the Big Brother house the following summer for another chance at the winning title. Once again, Paul made it to the final two but lost to Josh Martinez, the hair care salesman from Miami, after he pissed off most of the jury with his cutthroat gameplay style.

While many fans agreed that Paul deserved to win both of his respective seasons, he isn’t exactly a fan favorite in the Big Brother fanbase.

Shannon Dragoo (Big Brother 2)

Season 2 houseguest Shannon Drago was just downright unlikable. From body shaming players to cleaning a toilet with a houseguest’s toothbrush, Shannon earned a reputation as a mean girl.

Jackson Michie (Big Brother 21)

Season 21 winner Jackson Michie is one of the least-liked winners in Big Brother history. The CBS star received backlash from fans for his treatment of other houseguests. Fans felt he was controlling towards other players, especially his showmance Holly Allen. Fans also accused Jackson of targeting the minority players early in the season. He denied the accusation at the finale.

Jack Mathews (Big Brother 21)

Jack Mathews was Jackson’s other half on Big Brother 21. Similar to Jackson, the fitness trainer received criticism for his treatment of other houseguests. Fans found his behavior in the house condescending and at times, offensive.

Aaryn Gries (Big Brother 15)

(Photo by Monty Brinton/CBS via Getty Images)

Aaryn Gries is one of the most controversial houseguests of all time. On Big Brother 15, the Texas native found herself in hot water with fans after she made a series of racist and homophobic comments that were captured on the Live Feeds.

Host Julie Chen-Moonves spoke out about Aaryn’s behavior on the CBS show The Talk in 2013, calling the southern belle’s behavior “ignorant” and “immature.”

Fans clearly echoed Julie’s sentiments because when Aaryn was evicted from the Big Brother house, she was greeted with a chorus of boos from fans.

Adam Jasinski (Big Brother 9)

Adam Jasinski may have saved Jackson from the titled of most unlikable winner of all time. The Season 9 winner was disliked by both his fellow houseguests and fans, mainly due to insensitive comments he made on the show.

Jessie Godderz (Big Brother 10 & Big Brother 11)

While some fans found Jessie Godderz entertaining, the bodybuilder is mostly remembered for his short temper and narcissistic attitude. His fellow houseguests found his personality off-putting and fans, for the most, agreed.

Jessie returned to the house in later seasons as part of the Pandora’s Box twist. If a player chose to open the box, something terrible would be released into the house. In Season 12, the “terrible thing” was Jessie. I guess even producers see having Jessie in the house as a punishment.

Justin Sebik (Big Brother 2)

JT1972/YouTube

We can pretty much guarantee Justin Sebik isn’t any Big Brother fan’s favorite player. The New Jersey native made headlines for an incident on Big Brother 2 that resulted in him being expelled from the game.

During a conversation with houseguest Krista Stegall, Justin pulled a big kitchen knife out of a drawer and held it to Krista’s throat. He asked the houseguest, “Seriously, would you be mad if I killed you?” Producers removed him from the game following the incident.

Prior to his conversation with Krista, the houseguest had already rubbed fans the wrong way with his temper and aggressive gameplay.
