Welcome back, nautical enthusiasts! It is time for our Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 15 recap via “Smoochies.” Last week, Captain Jason failed to mediate matters brewing between Lara and Tzarina. However, Tzarina and Alesia remain in a great place, but this is a narrative that Lara finds fake. In contrast, various crushes are now in bloom, showing Harry and Bri, Nate and Alesia, and Marina and Nic well. Here is a breakdown of everything that happened on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 15.
What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 15?
Boatmances heated up this week, but one couple might not make it past filming. Meanwhile, the divide between Lara and Tzarina also grew wider and quieter, as silence is now their default. Wildly, a positive promotion in the interior department creates a negative narrative and an unexpected disco ball helmet winner. Now, Lara is questioning her future on this yacht.
Alesia and Nate share their first kiss on BDDU
Harry comforts an emotional Tzarina, which Lara notices. Lara is over it. Cue a setting change to a nearby bar.
Still wearing the disco ball helmet, Harry kisses Bri on the dance floor. Following suit, Alesia kisses Nate on his cheek, admitting in her confessional that she likes him. Nate leans down, kissing Alesia.
The crew heads back to the yacht. Harry and Bri cuddle, discussing their loved-up travel plans once filming wraps. Upstairs, Marina and Nic are also cuddling. All is well in the land of romance (for now).
The following morning, Nate texts Alesia asking for a rendezvous. Alesia responds with a yes, securing their sunset date later that night on deck. Conversely, Lara and Tzarina remain on non-speaking terms. Captain Jason clocks them at their preference sheet meeting, encouraging his department heads to be professional.
Lara unsuccessfully tries to clear the air with Tzarina
Lara pulls Tzarina in for a chat, telling her that her blatant late-for-work lie stung. In response, Tzarina tells Lara she is poisoning her relationship with Alesia in the galley. Tzarina wants Lara to acknowledge her part played, but Lara pushes back, reminding Tzarina that she has not yet apologized for her lie.
Tzarina notes that Lara also failed to say sorry. Lara suggests their tensions rose after Lara asked Alesia to vacuum the crew mess. Tzarina seemingly agrees, quickly noting that the crew mess is never allocated solely to the galley.
Lara again reminds Tzarina that she actively lied, which is malicious. But if Tzarina can give her details on what she has done that she needs to apologize for, Lara will readily do so. Tzarina listens but offers nothing. Lara leaves, agreeing they will not speak again unless it is work-related.
Marina receives the glory she deserves as Alesia gives Nate the side-eye following their first date
Marina writes a sweet love letter on a sticky note for Nic and attaches it to his door. Across the hall, Bri cuddles with Lara. They are impressed with Marina. Lara admits Captain Jason was right, as Marina is nailing her responsibilities.
That night, Alesia takes her self-created cheese board (a moment of silence for Wihan) to the deck for her date with Nate. Downstairs, Tzarina, Nic, and Marina watch them kiss on the monitor. Harry joins as Nate and Alesia enter, laughing about their colleagues lurking. Nate jokes that there are “smoochies all around” this season.
Nate goes to bed. Harry giggles with a cringing Alesia. She thinks “Smoochies” is “baby talk.” In his cabin, Nate gleefully says it again, oblivious.
The following morning, Lara makes Marina her second stew. Marina smiles, finally feeling seen.
Tzarina and Lara continue fighting over the crew mess
The charter guests arrive. Lara approaches Alesia, admitting the crew mess “is everyone’s responsibility,” but Alesia still needs to wipe down the table. “Okay,” Alesia relents.
Lara informs Captain Jason about the “crew mess situation.” In his interview, Captain Jason labels this fight as “absurd.” He tells Lara to handle this with Tzarina.
Alesia informs Tzarina about her run-in with Lara. Tzarina sighs, labeling Lara “a broken record.”
The guests depart for a diving excursion. Adair, Nate, and Nic goof off while preparing the water toys for their return. Lara sees, calling for Adair to head to the cabins.
Noticing a dirty table, Lara radios Nate. But Nate is busy playing with Alesia on a water toy. Nic comes to her rescue instead. Lara heads to the galley, asking Tzarina if Alesia can clean the crew mess since she has free time.
“Just drop the f*cking crew mess. Stop pretending you are a perfectionist because, to be honest, you’re just a perfectional b*tch,” Tzarina jabs in her confessional.
Several relationships are now shifting on BDDU
The guests return. Alesia tells Tzarina her vagina still hates the word “smoochies.” Likewise, Nic never talked to Marina about her note, so Marina feels bummed.
The ladies discuss Marina’s second stewardess status, but Captain Jason overhears, annoyed that he was never informed. He finds Lara, who stresses that she told him. Captain Jason does not remember this, but he upholds her decision.
Lara asks Marina if she ever questions whether Captain Jason likes her. “No,” Marina replies. Everyone heads to bed, minus Marina and Nic. Nic has her note attached to his phone. Marina is relieved.
Harry and Lara talk giddily about Bri. Bri, however, is having second thoughts.
Harry effortlessly calls out his first docking. In their tip meeting, Captain Jason hands Lara the disco ball helmet. Tzarina jokes that it will look lovely. In her cabin, Lara cries, questioning her future on this yacht.
