Exclusive Interview! Tom Sandoval Feels Betrayed By Scheana Marie; Says Hawaii Trip Was Blown Way Out Of Proportion!
Tom Sandoval has a lot to say about this season’s Vanderpump Rules. Between Kristen Doute’s “Apology Tour” in full swing and the group’s fallout over the Hawaii trip, lines of friendship among the VPR cast have been a bit blurred as of late. But Tom maintains that what we see isn’t always the whole truth. This week I got a chance to chat with Tom about his reaction to recent episodes that largely paint girlfriend Ariana Madix and him as grudge-holding-Stassis (well, at least according to Katie Maloney!). Read on to hear about how Tom feels betrayed by Scheana Marie, and how he expected more from the group of people he still considers friends.
So, after these last few episodes, do you have anything you’d like to clear up?
Tom: “It’s been really strange, really weird with the group. It’s been a lot of propaganda, for lack of a better term. This whole thing with Jax [Taylor] and me and this birthday trip, you know, we got together like 3 weeks prior – maybe a month – and talked about who was going to go.”
“Jax even brought it up himself; he was like, ‘Obviously, Kristen’s not going to go. That doesn’t make much sense.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, that would be really weird.’ It was so nonchalant. Just an obvious answer.”

Yeah, it seemed like a non-issue, until it was an issue.
Tom: “Exactly! Exactly. And then it just became this weird, crazy thing that I didn’t understand. It was just baffling. Even before that, me and Katie and [Tom] Schwartz went to dinner earlier in the summer, and Katie was like, ‘You know, I’ve been hanging out with Kristen.’ Of course, Kristen just conveniently hung out with Carmen, Rachel, James – whoever – until 2 weeks before we started filming. Then she just starts hitting up Katie, Scheana – everybody.”
“Nobody had really been talking to her [until then] because if you remember the reunion, Kristen was accusing Katie of cheating on Schwartz multiple times and him cheating on Katie – basically trying to knock their integrity down. I don’t know if you’ve noticed this year it’s the ‘Apology Tour,’ while last year it was the ‘Everyone’s Just As Bad As Me Tour.’”
“It’s interesting because I know who I’ve been to my friends. I’ve treated my friends very well. It’s so weird how everyone’s gotten on this fixation, or bandwagon, of just hating on us.”
So, how did that happen? Was that Katie’s doing, or Jax’s doing?
Tom: “Well, it started off initially in the summer with Katie kind of getting on our case because she was talking to Kristen again. We were all surprised, like ‘Okay…a week ago you were sending me screenshots of Kristen’s ludicrous tweets and laughing at them, but now you guys are friends?’ We’re just like, alright: if you go to lunch with Kristen, we’ll have lunch with you another day. But if there’s a big gathering for something important and you want to invite Kristen, yeah we’ll be there. But we’re not going to grab mimosas with you and Kristen. (laughs) Which is so obvious! It seems like such an obvious thing. But Katie started throwing a stink about it. Weird. That’s what Ariana meant by ‘You do you, we’ll do us.’ No big deal. You can be friends with whoever you want to be friends with, but we don’t have to be friends with them just because you want us to.”
“As the trip got closer, I think it had a lot to do with Jax not having the balls to tell Kristen that she wasn’t going to go. Over at my house after the comedy show, it became a thing where Katie was like, ‘I think Kristen should go. It’s Jax’s birthday too!’ And I’m like, well it’s my birthday and I don’t want her to be there. That’s really weird. It makes NO sense for her to be there. And she just kept attacking us about it. I was like, the way you’re acting right now, I have to question your judgment. Which meant I had to question her manners. It’s so out of line to question why someone doesn’t want to bring their ex on a birthday trip! It was this whole thing of trying to push my buttons. Her saying, ‘Why don’t you just get over it? Why are you hanging on to it?’ And I’m like, I’m not hanging on to it. I just don’t want my ex-grilfriend on a birthday trip. (laughs) Then she’s like, ‘Look at you, you’re getting upset! Just let it go! Okay Stassi.’
“And when somebody refers to me as ‘Stassi’ – especially Katie, who I spent countless nights on the balcony consoling her through [Stassi’s] abandonment of her – it strikes a chord in me. And she kind of knew that. There was this poking and prodding, then ‘Oh, we got Tom to lose his sh*t!’ Yes. It was like this totally weird quenching of a thirst – them making me finally get upset.”
“The funny thing was, the day after that (which was the day before Katie and Schwartz got engaged), we did this ‘Room Escape’ thing for a pre-birthday adventure where everyone has to work together to solve clues and escape this room. Really cool. Everybody was there. And after we were done – this is what you see on the super teaser where I’m yelling ‘Leave me the f*ck alone!’ (laughs) – they ganged up on me AGAIN about not bringing Kristen to Hawaii. It just became this f*cking thing.”
“Then Scheana, of course, just starts lying about what Ariana says. Ariana never gave anyone an ultimatum, and that’s why you never see it on the show. But Scheana runs around and tells everybody that Ariana said ‘It’s either Kristen or me!’”
So, that never even happened?
Tom: “No!”
It seems like Scheana is becoming the resident sh*t-stirrer…no?
Tom: “Yeah. You can kinda tell when she’s bullsh*tting too. Her eyes get really big and she blinks a lot. It’s kind of a dead giveaway. I mean, I’ve dealt with it before.”
What were Scheana’s motivations, then? Because it seemed like she and Ariana were really good friends.
Tom: “That’s the thing – I don’t understand what happened. I don’t know if it’s because me and Ariana had been busy doing our own thing. Or maybe it’s because we don’t day drink. I mean, I don’t go get margaritas during the day. And Scheana does that sometimes and, you know, I don’t know. I was just sitting there watching the show [these past weeks] and I’m like ‘Where the f*ck is this coming from?’ Ariana would never give an ultimatum. Neither one of us would.”
What’s Ariana’s reaction to seeing the show, given the fact that she didn’t know what Scheana was saying about her?
Tom: “Obviously it’s annoying. We just shake our heads like, wow. It’s funny because you can see Ariana is being super chill in [last week’s] episode when she and Scheana are having the conversation at the bar about Jax’s birthday lunch. Scheana was saying ‘You can either spazz out about who’s coming to Jax’s lunch, or you can be cool. But you can’t be both.’ The funny thing is that Ariana is being really cool about it – she doesn’t care. Of course we’re going to show up. (laughs) And then Scheana acts like Ariana is being a certain way, and tells Katie that Ariana is questioning if they’re real friends. That was not what she said. It’s just one thing after another. I can’t even count how many times Scheana just puts her hand up and says, ‘I can’t even talk to you about this anymore!’ and just walks away. It’s an ongoing thing throughout the season.”
“We don’t have this ‘thing’ about Kristen. We don’t care. We just don’t want to be around her, for obvious reasons. She spent about a year trying to ruin our relationship, our lives. Plus, she’s an ex-girlfriend. It’s weird.”
“Then when Scheana tells Ariana that her mom was worried about her, and questioning whether I was a good boyfriend? Yeah, that’s another lie. (laughs) Ariana’s mom obviously worries about her daughter sometimes. But it wasn’t anything to do with me or our relationship. But Scheana just kind of let loose about me!”
Ariana did look pretty shocked hearing that from Scheana.
Tom: “Because Ariana thought: there’s absolutely NO way. No way. And she was right.”
“It’s just, everybody is making this trip an issue. We get ganged up on three times about Kristen not going by Jax, Scheana, and Katie, with all of them just looking for a response. Even Schwartz saw it.”
“By the way, Kristen apologizing to Ariana at the bar was AFTER she found out about [not going on] the trip to Hawaii.”
Then, that scene was obviously shown out of sequence?
Tom: “Yeah! It was all about her trying to get on the trip. We predicted it! I thought, Kristen’s going to try to apologize to Ariana to make us look like a$$holes for excluding her from this trip. And she did. We called it. Sure enough, it happened a week later.”
Does it feel like a “spin” on the show’s part to portray Kristen as contrite?
Tom: (laughs) “Um, well. If something like that is left out, what do you think?”
What were you thinking when Kristen ambushed you outside of Jax’s birthday lunch?
Tom: “The funny thing was how she did it. I mean, I saw it coming. I figured it might happen at gay pride, but I had an idea it was gonna happen. I felt like her true motives came out in that conversation – her tactics of getting in everybody’s life. ‘I’m gonna be around,’ she said, I don’t even know how many times. She wanted to know when the tension would be gone, but she created this tension. And I don’t know when that’s going to go away. I’ve been trained to feel that way around her. My human instincts to preserve myself, with good reason, come from my experience with her.”
What were Jax’s real feelings about James going to Hawaii?
Tom: “It was really weird how he threw a little fit about James [Kennedy]. About a month before Hawaii, we’d planned a list. And he was okay with James going. So I’d asked James if he’d like to go, and he was like ‘yeah!’ But after the fact, Jax said ‘If Kristen can’t go, then I get a veto too. And James isn’t going.’ I was like, okay – that sounds like you’re being a little brat. It’s not like James is your ex-girlfriend or anything. (laughs) I was like, Jax, are you sure this doesn’t have anything to do with Lala [Kent]…? But if Jax didn’t want him to go, then I was like, YOU have to tell him. So, I guess Jax didn’t want to deal with that. (laughs).”
Why did Jax make it his mission to get Kristen on the trip when, according to you, he didn’t initially think it was that big of a deal?
Tom: “At Tom and Katie’s engagement dinner, I didn’t want to bring it up, but I was pretty much at my wit’s end. I was ready to tell them to invite Kristen on the trip, not go myself, then take another trip by ourselves later. I was just like, literally, ‘F*ck you guys!’ (laughs) I was so disgusted, but I didn’t want to ruin the night because I knew Schwartz was proposing to Katie. Then they all acted like they had to ‘break the news’ to Kristen about not going, like it was this big deal.”
“Then when we get to Hawaii, Jax has this whole moment of silence attitude at dinner, like, ‘Yeah, I really wish SOME PEOPLE could have made it here.’ And I’m like, dude! You’re being such an a$$hole right now. Then he’s like, ‘And SOME PEOPLE maybe shouldn’t have been on this trip. Then Lala’s like, ‘Well who do you mean by that?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, why the hell are you even here?’ It’s like, Jax: you invited her. (laughs) Whatever.”
Any comments about The Return of Stassi Schroeder?
Tom: “When she sent Katie that text about her engagement, she said something about, ‘I’m sorry our paths went different ways,’ and I’m like: Stassi, you cut Katie out of your life! (laughs) What do you mean our paths have brought us to different places? You just stopped returning phone calls and messages. It’s just so ridiculous.”
“As for Stassi, I don’t know. To me it doesn’t matter so much what my opinion is [about her]. All you have to do is do the math with her. Stassi cut Katie off for a very long time, then Stassi’s relationship went through a rough patch. Suddenly she’s on Kristen’s couch, then she starts hitting up Katie – then everyone. To me, if you only hit someone up when you’re in at a low point in your life, it pretty much explains who you are.”
“A person’s credit it the only thing you have to look at – with both Stassi and Kristen. Just look at their credit.”
Do you feel betrayed by Scheana?
Tom: “Yeah! Of course. I mean, you’ll see. You’ll see more. (laughs) It doesn’t get better.”
“My biggest thing with Scheana is that I’ve bent over backwards for her as a friend. I’ve gone above and beyond this season behind the scenes with things that I can’t really talk about, and it was just really heartbreaking to see her on this constant attack. For reasons that I still can’t understand. We just had a big target painted on our backs. And I don’t know if we’ll ever know why.”
Last words?
Tom: “The thing is, I’ve been getting tweets about how ‘It takes so much energy to hold on to hate.’ But I’m not holding on to anything. My actions tell you that. The opposite of love is not hate – it’s indifference. And I don’t care about Kristen. Everybody was making it out like it was about me having this huge contempt or vindictive feeling toward Kristen. I don’t. It has less to do with her than it does with my friends just being rude. It could be Kristen or it could be an ex-girlfriend before Kristen. It’s about my friends not caring about my feelings at all. It’s a 3-day trip to Hawaii. Who cares! As Kristen stated, she’ll be here when we get back. You know, ‘She’ll Be Around.’ (laughs)”
“I do want to say, I love all my friends. I love all of them. The thing that bothers me is seeing them doing things that I feel they’re better than.”

RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice Pulled Over By Cop As Uber Speeds Home To Beat Curfew
The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s resident parolee, Teresa Giudice, who has a strict curfew following her recent release from prison, nearly violated it. Teresa, who got locked up on fraud charges, attended a red carpet soirée to celebrate the opening of sister-in-law and RHONJ co-star, Melissa Gorga’s fashion boutique envy’s opening in Montclair, N.J.
According to TMZ, Teresa, who has to adhere to a 10:00 pm curfew as part of her probation, nearly missed her check-in time had it not been for an Uber driver, who was willing to break speed limits to get her home and the merciful cop, who stopped but didn’t ticket them.

Last Thursday night Teresa, who attended the envy bash with eldest daughter Gia, realized she had to dash in order to make it home by 10:00 pm for her probation check-in time according to TMZ. After getting into an Uber, Teresa reportedly instructed the cabbie to step on it, so that she would not be in violation of her parole. When the driver was stopped by a patrolman for speeding, Teresa reportedly stepped in and informed the officer she was to blame. When the policeman recognized the raven-haired TV personality, he let the responsible parties off with just a warning.

Teresa was released from a federal correction institution in Danbury, CT. on December 23, after serving just under a year of a 15-month sentence. Teresa’s husband Joe Giudice, who was handed down a 41-month prison term also for fraud charges, is expected to turn himself into the very same Fort Dix, N.J. facility in March where reality series Real Housewives of Atlanta’s, Apollo Nida is coincidentally serving an eight-year sentence.
Reportedly, the Joisey fashionista made it home just in the nick of time! Whew!

Tamra Judge’s Son Ryan Vieth Accuses Fiancé Of Disloyalty For Attending A Party With Gretchen Rossi!
Who is surprised to learn that Ryan Vieth has drama? [crickets]. Over the weekend Tamra Judge‘s son got into an instagram argument with his fiancé? wife? ex-something? Sarah Rodriguez and accused of her being a disloyal cheater! And yes, somehow Gretchen Rossi was involved! #NakedWastedRevenge #OfCourse
The drama began when Sarah attended a birthday party for party planner Emily Simpson, a party which also happened to be attended by former Real Housewives Of Orange County stars Gretchen and Lizzie Rovsek. Also at the party was Tamra’s one-time BFF/turned nemesis, Ricky. Apparently Emily was a one-time contender to join the show, as a friend of Gretchen’s, and who knows – maybe we’ll be seeing her on the next season! #AGirlCanDream. Emily also planned Sarah and Ryan’s baby shower.
“My mother has done so much for her and her children and to hang out with two of the most backstabbing people my mother has ever dealt with is just complete disrespect to our family,” Ryan ranted in a now-deleted Instagram post! “… All I can tell you is you only know a spec of what is really going on and why I left my situation with [Sarah].”

So what has Sarah been up to besides cavorting with the enemy? According to Ryan: scheming, lying, getting super wasted, and cheating, oh – and they’re either divorced or the engagement is off! Oh dearie – so we won’t be seeing that wedding on Real Housewives Of Orange County next season?
Sarah and Ryan may have broke up in October 2015, according to some old tweets, but they’ve been ‘together’ for the kids as recently as Christmas.
“If you would like to hear the story where Sarah was out all night drinking with another man and didn’t come home till the next morning without her engagement ring and cell phone because this man had it we can start there,” Ryan teased.
“To say that I stuck around as long as possible for my daughter is a understatement,” he seethed.
Sarah, a single-mother of three girls, initially met Ryan on Instagram. Ryan moved to Northern California to be with her and proposed almost immediately. Soon after they had their daughter Ava Ryan. Ryan, Sarah, and all four girls then relocated to Orange County, and last year was arrested for domestic violence. Tamra insisted they were working though the issues with Pasture Mike. Apparently not!
Thanks to Starcasm, who was covering Ryan’s meltdown live, Ryan claims he and Sarah have been in a nasty custody dispute!
“For the past year I’ve had to deal with her threats of taking my daughter away to Northern California. I’m mentally drained but happy now that I have joint physical and legal custody of Ava,” seethed Ryan. “She has managed to have 3 other daughters with 3 different fathers and they have never been in the children’s life but that will not happen to me.” So, is Sarah a “monster mom”? Shhh… don’t tell Gretchen!
Ryan also said Sarah “refuses” to return her engagement ring. “I only assume she’s going to sell it when she really needs money.”
Tamra, who seems to have a close relationship with Sarah (and her three other daughters), hasn’t commented. She has her own custody issues to deal with!
After Ryan’s accusations, Sarah defended herself, then made her Instagram and Twitter private.
On attending the same party as Gretchen and Ricky – it’s nothing personal! “Just because I was in the room with certain people or in pictures with certain people DOES NOT make me a disloyal person. I simply went to friends bday party last night to celebrate her turning 40 and boy did I have fun!!” Sarah says Emily was her “first friend” when she moved to the OC.
On Sarah’s relationship with Tamra – her mother-in-law?: “Tamra is a very very special person to me. Not only is she my mother in law. She is one of my best friends and she has been the best grandma to ALL of my girls. Through the good and through the bad. I value her.” *Were Sarah and Ryan married? Ryan makes it seem as if they were just engaged.
As for Ryan, Sarah defended him too. “Ryan is the best dad I could have ever asked for my daughter which I would never ever come between.”
“We both did things wrong,” Sarah concluded.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta Recap: The Woman In The Mirror
Last night on Real Housewives Of Atlanta, several of the ladies, led by Phaedra Parks, traveled to Washington DC to celebrate the anniversary of the Million Man March, while other ladies remained in Atlanta receiving million dollar guests.
Ayden helps Phaedra pack for the trip, which will involve meeting with several congress members, including Florida representative Frederica Wilson, whose organization inspired Phaedra’s newfound passion, Saving Our Sons.
Kim Fields, along with her two sons, Porsha Williams, her two thot-ful daughters Coco and Chanel, and Sheree Whitfield (plus the now adult Kairo!) will also be attending.

So, Phaedra is a single-parent with like 500 jobzzzzzzzzz , yet she still has time to run a foundation? Are we sure we’re dealing with a mere human here? Is this some Hermione Granger time-hopping shit? When Jesus took the wheel, he apparently drove Phaedra to a higher level.
Since Ayden is 5, Phaedra packs his belongings in a Louis Vuitton duffel bag. Saving our sons from being materialistic Phaedra is not! I think Phaedra is a very involved mother and those boys definitely adore her – even if they are regaling her with farts! As the mother of sons, I can sympathize.
Saving face, Apollo calls from prison and has a parental conversation with Ayden about behaving in school and making good decisions. Apollo’s parenting motto, is blessedly, “Do as I say, not as I do!” Phaedra archly describes their situation as “co-parenting.”
Then everyone boards a plane for DC, except for Porsha who is standing at the Quick-Trip awaiting the arrival of the underground railroad. Luckily for her, DC actually has one of those thingies – it’s called The Metro. You can ride it all the way to Potomac, Maryland, in fact!
Everybody knows that as the proprietress of 52 million jobzzzzz, including the author of a book on informative tips for the Southern Belle, Phaedra is always prepared – especially while traveling! She brought not only her sons to DC but her “team” – comprised of an assistant, hairdresser, and makeup artist – because everybody knows traveling with children is absolute hell! Kim did not get that memo! Did she consult Secrets Of A Southern Belle, Chapter infinity?
Kim, who is also traveling alone with her boys, brought only her iPad and a curling iron. #Teamz Naturally Kim is late and misses the bus to Capital Hill.
Back in Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey is dressed in head-to-toe army green to meet Kenya Moore at the deconstructed remains of her soon-to-be new home. Kenya emerges from the messy rubble concerned about the lack of progress. There’s a metaphor in all this, right?
Seriously Kenya’s house, is like Phaedra’s jobzzzz – they exist but are surrounded by shadows and no one is quite sure what we’re looking at. As of now Moore Manor resembles the next plot of American Horror Story, (starring NeNe Leakes?!) rather than Kenya’s soon-to-be-home. Cynthia is afraid while climbing the rickety steps of Krayonce’s delusion.
Kenya, back from her family reunion, tells a shocked Cynthia about her mother refusing to see her. On the bright side Kenya and her father’s relationship improved.
The ladies in DC meet with Phaedra’s with Frederica Wilson, who is wearing a red sequined cowboy hat and a patriotic-themed blazer. No, Capital Hill was not celebrating Dress Like Your Favorite Member Of the Village People day. At least I don’t think. Porsha, is cosplaying Olivia Pope, which is a welcome change from her usual Princess of THOTlandia.
Kim arrives late and frazzled, with her hair half up, and is dubbed “Toot Toot” by Frederica. Porsha assumed that was the sound of the underground railroad arriving. The congresswoman describes her organization, which has sent thousands of young black men to college, and discusses the crisis facing black men today, saying, “People do not like African-American boys,” and therefore society does not have high expectations for them. An affronted Kim whisks her sons out of the room, complaining the conversation is too adult for 8-year-old Sebastian, who is old enough to understand more. “I don’t have the luxury of sugarcoating reality with my sons,” decrees Phaedra, blocking a call from FMC-Lexington.
Sheree is confused by “Toot Toot’s” priorities wonders if Kim needs to check the clock, boo! And her priorities. Whoever heard of meeting a congresswoman and being late, then walking out. How dreadful!
Porsha, meanwhile, was inspired by The Man In The Mirror and get involved in the plight of the African-American community. Uhhhh…doesn’t her family run the Hosea Williams Foundation? Charity starts at home, lady! And I don’t mean by singing to yourself in the mirror.
While Phaedra is confronting broader issues at large, Kenya is confronting Aunt Lori about why she abruptly left Kenya’s Family Reunion. Aunt Lori is frustrated because Kenya went to her mother’s house unannounced, but Kenya argues that she has the right to speak to her mother.
I think what was being edited out was ‘on camera’. I do believe Aunt Lori’s main issue with the situation was Kenya showing up to her mother’s house, unannounced, with a camera crew, and expected the woman to talk! I’m all for Kenya finding closure and demanding what answers she can from the mother whose spent Kenya’s life playing mind games with her, but I definitely don’t think that should have been a camera moment. Hallmark Movie Channel this is not – it’s softly-scripted real-ish life!
Aunt Lori echos Kenya’s father in advising her to let her mother go. Easier said than done for sure, but what else can Kenya do at this point? As Kenya describes a childhood of her mother completely ignoring her at family functions and the family not saying anything, my mouth dropped. Aunt Lori insisted they did confront Kenya’s mom, when Kenya was not there, but what could they do? How about not bringing a child to an event where her mother would pretend she didn’t exist? In the end Kenya has found closure, and realizes she can count on Aunt Lori and her father.
Back in DC, it’s time for a luncheon at the Congressional Black Caucus, which is scheduled for the exact same time Kim’s kids start having tantrums. Sebastian because he is bored and Quincy because it’s naptime. While Phaedra’s team whisks her boys away to a more children-appropriate venue that does not serve frisse salad over political chat, Kim is sulking on the bus with McDonald’s over being few prizes short of a Happy Meal.
Phaedra has no time to save Kim’s child care, she’s saving the nation! Sheree checks in on Kim, but has very little sympathy. Kim decides she’d rather save her sons from boredom by taking them back to the hotel.
Kim grumbles that Phaedra’s jaunt around DC is “not for kids” and I quite agree. Some qualified nannies needed to be showing the children around the Natural History Museum while Phaedra and the ladies hobnobbed on capital hill. They can all reconvene for dinner at Rainforest Café.
Speaking of family matters, Todd has big plans to open Kandi Burruss‘ family restaurant based on the recipes of the Old Lady Gang. Kandi doesn’t seem to have any details about Todd’s plans, and frets about her elderly aunts working in a restaurant.
Todd, who is responsible for one-third of Baby Tucker’s existence (Dr. Jackie being the other involved party), is now heralded as a hero and worshipped by even Mama Joyce. Now if I were were Todd, I’d be afraid and wondering what dastardly tricks MJ had up the sleeves Kandi bought her. But perhaps being a grandmother again has softened Mama Joyce? Or psych meds have!
Todd pitches the restaurant, including the idea of the sign having a WANTED posted with the OLG’s picture on it. Aunt Bertha is not game. Everyone else pretends to be excited. The cuisine will be southern. In my mind Kandi and Todd serve everything out of those ceramic cups made to look like Solo Cups, and all the other dishes are picnic-ware. Also, I mean I love Mac and Cheese as much as the next American girl, but what’s so exciting about serving the same thing as Cracker Barrel?
In DC the ladies are attending the Million Man March. Again Kim has to leave early, this time because she is hosting a charity gala of her own back in Atlanta.
Sheree’s son Kairo arrives and everyone is shocked by the 6’6 tall 19-year-old he’s become. Porsha, already wearing an inappropriately low-cut dress greets him with Coco and Chanel, helped along by Phaedra announcing that Kairo is “legal.” She by SheHulk does not play. “Legal for what?!” Sheree snaps, checking Coco, Chanel, and Porsha right at the door. Sheree is definitely saving her son! Thank God!
At the march, Kim departs and Phaedra hauls her sons up on stage (to deafen them by proximity to the enormous audio system?) to hear speeches describe the plight of the African-American community, and mothers of slain sons describe the heartache. As Ayden and Dylan behave like mini adults, in the audience Porsha whines like a child because she’s hungry and bored and no one brought snacks. I’m quite certain there’s a hot dog cart around there, but she was pleasantly surprised when a nice woman handed her some Cheetos.
Oh, and speaking of surprises NeNe has reappeared. In her short absence NeNe’s ego has only inflated, as has her delusion about what constitutes attractive hair and cleavage. Or dresses.
Cynthia greets NeNe wearing what appears to be a robe, and they are now friends again having missed each other tremendously and forgotten what they were even fighting over. Apparently Cynthia realized it was Peter who was ruining her marriage, not NeNe. Catching up over guacamole and champs, NeNe graciously agrees to unblock Cynthia on twitter and brags about allowing Kandi and Kenya to fight over her crown as the queen of RHOA, but now NeNe will be reclaiming that title – BLOOP! – and if they don’t like it she has a scepter they can fight.
Oof – I am not impressed with NeNe’s ponytail. Nor whatever low-rent figure-skating costume she is wearing in the confessional interview. NeNe keeps talking about her boobs and drawing attention to them, saying she gave birth to twins, so maybe she and Phaedra got a two-for-one boob job deal?
Anyway, NeNe is back to save Real Housewives Of Atlanta. And in DC, Phaedra closes the episode with an emotional moment from the mothers of other sons wrongly killed by police officers. I’m glad to see Bravo using their platform to draw attention to something truly important for a change and I do hope Phaedra is sincere in making a difference that goes beyond posting an Usie on instagram.
