“Add some new cast members,” they said. “It will be fun,” they said. And then all the fun and games were disrupted by racially insensitive tweets that just resurfaced.
New Vanderpump Rules stars Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens came under fire this week when their old tweets resurfaced. I’m sure they’re longing for the days when avoiding Scheana Marie was their biggest problem. Now, they are in some serious hot water. They both used the “n-word.” Many times. Now, their Pump Rules costar Lala Kent is weighing in on the drama.
In an Instagram Story, Lala wrote, “The tweets that were posted by my ‘cast members’ are truly disgusting. Blaming bigotry on immaturity is something I will not stand for, and I refuse to be [a part] of such ignorance and hate.”
She continued, “I hope our show will move forward on the path we were once on; crazy drunken banter, mending friendships or ruining them, living authentic lives.” Is that her way of saying that Max and Brett shouldn’t be on the show after this?
Lala concluded, “What has recently been displayed on Twitter is far from what we represent, on our show.”
What did the men boys say that was so offensive? In 2012, Max previously tweeted, “It upsets me that the word n— is not allowed to be said unless you are black because quite honestly it’s my favorite word.” Oh, no, Max. Just no.
That same year, Max also posted, “Something about Asians that just makes me want to punch them in the suck hole.” That is not at all acceptable.
In addition to referring to his friends as “my n*gga” many times from 2011 to 2013, Brett wrote, “wasup wit black people wearing so much Aeropostale i don’t get it lol.”
Max and Brett both issued apologies once their posts resurfaced. The queen of the show, Lisa Vanderpump, also spoke out after the incidents. Unlike Lala, Lisa believes that they have learned from this experience.

We are only two episodes in with the current Vanderpump Rules season, and it’s already shaping up to be the girls vs. Kristen Doute. Yes, I know that not every woman is involved in this feud, but Katie Maloney and Stassi Schroeder are over Kristen’s confusing relationship with Brian Carter and the feud is eclipsing the season.
Lala Kent even got up in Kristen’s face during the premiere episode to share her opinions. It’s unclear what happened throughout the course of filming, but as of this moment, in the present day, Kristen is still on the outs with Stassi and Katie, her longtime best friends.
Kristen opened up about the rift in an interview with Us Weekly. She told the magazine, “My [point of view], and I hope that I’m wrong, but it kind of feels like as I’m watching these episodes, and it felt like over the summer, that Stassi was on this high horse of being in this now perfect relationship and now she’s getting married and everything’s great.”
Kristen pointed out, “Lala has Randall [Emmett] and Brittany [Cartwright] has Jax [Taylor], Katie has Tom [Schwartz] and ‘OOP, here’s single Kristen, well that doesn’t fit with our group now. You can’t be in our pregnancy pact.’ But I don’t need a man to do everything that I’m doing.” Damn. That’s cold.
Kristen told the magazine, “I thought I could confide in my two best friends and have my girl venting sesh. All women do it, every single one of us, whether you’re married or just dating, you all complain about our dudes to each other, so I thought it would be a little more understanding about that and just let me learn these lessons on my own rather than telling me to kick rocks.”
Instead, Stassi and Katie seem to prefer the “tough love” approach. And by tough love, I mean screaming into Kristen’s ear at maximum volume in the middle of a housewarming “house chilling” party. Or at least that’s Katie’s preferred method of communication. We will see how Stassi addresses Kristen as the season continues.
Ultimately, Kristen concluded, “I just know that I’ve done everything to try to mend it, to try to have the conversation and there comes a point that I just had to go, you know what? I know my worth and I know what a great friend I’ve always been to them.”
As of this moment, Kristen isn’t even invited to Stassi and Beau Clark’s wedding, which is very sad. These two were able to get past Kristen sleeping with Jax and Stassi slapping Kristen in the face, but this ambiguous rift over Carter is something they cannot recover from. How random.

Brandi denied the rumors that it was a romantic affair, but didn’t deny the hookups in general. Denise completely denied the whole story. But, that’s it. They’re (hopefully) saving the good quotes for the show…. and those subsequent interviews. However, the story is still alive on social media, as it always is.
Brandi tweeted, “I am not lying about ANYTHING that I said on housewives and Im willing to take a lie detector test and let’s be clear I was not EVEN the aggressor!!!!”
Please take a lie detector test and film it like Lisa Vanderpump did last season. This is what we need to make Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (somewhat) interesting again. Let’s strap Brandi into a polygraph and put a diamond in her hand. I’m ready for the comeback.
I’m gonna need a timeline of events. Was this pre-Aaron Phypers or did this allegedly happen during Denise and Aaron’s marriage?
This sounds a lot more entertaining than the glam squad footage that we are normally subjected to in every episode.
Denise hasn’t commented on the rumors since she released a statement via her representative. However, according to The Blast, she did hang out an event with Joanna Krupa, one of Brandi’s many enemies.
In case you forgot, Joanna was on the now-defunct Real Housewives of Miami. I’m not gonna repeat the comment that Brandi said about Joanna because I don’t want to end up with years of legal bills, but if you’re curious, you can click here to read more about the remarks Brandi made about the scent of Joanna’s intimate area.
I wish this hang out was filmed. I would have just loved to see Denise and Joanna talking shit about Brandi.

After a blah Season 7, viewers were excited for some new cast members to join Vanderpump Rules for Season 8. The first two episodes have been good. Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens were building up some good drama… and then they brought some drama that’s unacceptable.
Old tweets filled with racist remarks and other ignorant comments resurfaced on both Brett and Max’s accounts. The tweets are from a few years ago, but some fans found them, took screenshots, and they both ended up issuing apologies this week. Now, their boss Lisa Vanderpump is sharing her thoughts on the incidents.
In a statement to People, Lisa began, “I do not condone any of the heinous comments made in the past by Max and Brett and I am glad they understand the severity of their offenses and have shown utmost remorse and contrition.”
The Vanderpump Rules namesake emphasized, “I embrace a community of diversity and do not tolerate bigotry of any form within my workplace.”
Lisa continued, “Max and Brett are both appropriately ashamed of their past obnoxious teenage arrogance and casual use of unacceptable terms. While both have now matured as adults, they have shown remorse for their prior reckless defamatory statements.”
The statement concluded, “I do sincerely believe both have learned the power and impact words can have, and I have every hope this will be a lifelong lesson for them as we move into this new decade.”
This is probably not the last that we’ve heard about these incidents. I’m sure every Vanderpump Rules star will answer questions about this on Watch What Happens Live. It might even come up again at the reunion taping. But, what about Brett and Max’s futures on the show? Will the viewers (and the network) accept their apologies? We shall see.

Once upon a time on Real Housewives of New Jersey, Danielle Staub and Marty Caffrey were embroiled in a messy divorce. Their separation happened just two months into their marriage. Their divorce was finalized in February of 2019.
Fast forward to this season, and the exes are quite a bit friendlier. Much to Margaret Joseph’s horror, she was told by Teresa Giudice that not only are Danielle and Marty living in the same house, but they had sex. Yikes!
During a shopping trip that Teresa organized, Danielle and Margaret were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. Margaret poured water over Danielle’s head. Danielle dumped out the contents of Margaret’s purse into a very expensive candle.
But before leaving with loyal soldier Teresa, Danielle grabbed Margaret’s ponytail from behind. Margaret told HollywoodLife, “I mean I’ve got whiplash; I’m going to leave it at that. I definitely got a whiplash from it.” I thought that Margaret was exaggerating, but Danielle yanked it–hard.
On January 8, Danielle appeared on Watch What Happens Live to make a big announcement. “It is time for me to leave and do something that I want to do that makes my heart happy everyday. And, so I will be never returning as a Housewife again,” Danielle stated. While host Andy Cohen was clearly surprised that she used the word “never,” Danielle amended her previous statement. “I am never returning as a Housewife again… With the Jersey girls.”
But Danielle still has one person solidly in her corner–Marty. In an interview with RadarOnline, Marty defended his ex. (Warning-there is some rough spelling and grammar ahead.) “I laugh at all these stories about Margaret [Josephs] suing Danielle. I know she has threatened that before. It’s another example of Margaret using Danielle to get attention when she can’t get any by herself,” Marty said. “Margaret should be worried about her career with the franchise if she ever stops talking about Danielle Staub.” Why is Marty defending Danielle? I am perplexed by this entire situation.
“The [Real Housewives of New Jersey] After Show is a good example of how the ‘full time’ cast members constantly need to attack Danielle, a ‘friend,’ without her there to stand up for herself,” Marty told RadarOnline. “Danielle has no platform. They get to spew whatever bulls**t they want and go unchecked. What ‘friend’ across all the franchises is the main focus of the season?” Marty asked.
Danielle’s lap dog ex-husband had some choice words for the rest of the cast. “A bunch of cowards. They need Danielle’s story because they don’t have one themselves. Can anybody identify Margaret’s story line? Melissa [Gorga], Jennifer [Aydin] or Jackie [Goldschneider] have nothing either,” Marty remarked. “Well, Melissa has Joe [Gorga.] Joe’s the Housewife, not Melissa. Delores (Dolores) [Catania] has her two men story line. Teresa has her husband and Danielle. Without Danielle going forward Margaret is doomed and so is Teresa. They really all do owe their paychecks to Danielle.”
Is Marty watching the same show that I am? He better hope that Joe accepts the apology that Marty will soon be issuing.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta mid-season trailer is here and it looks so good. Wendy Williams even makes an appearance via speakerphone, advising NeNe Leakes to “give these girls friendship and love.” I’ll give Wendy an “A” for effort, but we all know that’s not gonna happen, especially when it comes to Kenya Moore.
Even though NeNe previously denied spitting on Kenya, do we see her going for a spit in the RHOA mid-season trailer. She also refers to Kenya as “submissive” in regard to Kenya’s marriage with Marc Daly.
Aside from channeling Pumpkin from Flavor of Love back in the day, NeNe is standing by her decision to hurl some spit toward the queen of twirl. NeNe tweeted, “She need 2 be spit on wit all the horrible things she has said & done! From constantly startin shit wit me all season, lying on me, sayin I’m on drugs & bipolar. Plus that recent tweet she posted so enjoy the moment! I DID the act but DIDNT SPIT! I Wish i had tho! No regrets.”

Another day, another batch of resurfaced tweets from a Vanderpump Rules star. It turns out that Brett Caprioni has more in common with Max Boyens than avoiding Scheana Marie’s call.
Just like Max, Brett has a lot of tweets using the n-word in his past. Why is this becoming a trend at Bravo. These Vanderpump Rules guys are giving the Real Housewives of Dallas a run for their money with the racism culturally insensitive remarks.
The Instagram account Facereality16 shared screenshots of Brett’s tweets from 2011 to 2013. He referred to people as “my n*gga” a few times over. In 2011, Brett tweeted, “n*gga, I actually meant that tweet last night- I woke up, saw it was still there lol stop being soft tho it was 5 seconds.” He also used the word a lot just writing out song lyrics.
In 2012, Brett wrote, “wasup wit black people wearing so much Aeropostale i don’t get it lol.” What is up with anyone wearing Aeropostale? Then again, this was 2012 and I’ve gone off topic.
Someone really did their due diligence searching through his old posts because he also has some tweets about women that are, well…. you be the judge. In 2011, he posted, “women need attention therefore women will complain, develop hatred for men and say that you’re the one to blame #thatsthetruththo.” He also tweeted, “this face is for the countless women who walk through nordstrom wearing granny panties in leggings.”
None of those tweets are great, obviously, but Max’s were way worse debatably worse. In a statement to People, Brett said, “I want to express my deepest apologies for the insensitive, ignorant, and hurtful comments I made. I am incredibly ashamed and accept full responsibility, and acknowledge that this language was as unacceptable then as it is now. Please know that I have learned and grown since then and would never use this language today. From the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry.”
