And we’re back with The Real Housewives of Miami Season 6, Episode 13, titled “Miami in Mexico.” As the saying goes, you can take the Housewives out of Miami, but you can’t take the Miami out of the Housewives as drama followed them even on their cast trip to Mexico that Alexia announced last week. Just as soon as Guerdy gave an update on her cancer treatment, Larsa decided to get shady. Meanwhile, Kiki’s festering feelings from Swim Week followed the girls down south. See how it all went down in the RHOM Season 6, Episode 13 recap below.

The Miami Housewives prepare for Mexico City

Alexia was excited to head to Mexico to visit the Cathedral Metropolitana and reconnect with La Virgen Guadalupe because the Virgin Mary, or Guadalupe, was an immense source of support to her amid Frankie’s accident. She and Frankie sat down to write a letter of thanks and supplication to Guadalupe.

While the other women were making their preparations and doing their packing, one Housewife was doing a bit of shopping. Nicole was looking at walling options for her new home with Anthony. She said she was excited to head to Mexico with the rest of the ladies but would have to fly by herself because she worked the morning of the departure.

Moreover, she’d have to fly commercial (like us peasants) because the private plane was in service. Ultimately, with everything that would go down during the first day in Mexico, Nicole was probably glad she’d get to fly in late.

Good news and bad news, especially for Guerdy

The flight to Mexico City went off without a hitch. Alexia was glad to host her friends, not only to have some fun but also to “educate,” as she put it. Julia was excited to celebrate her birthday, along with Kiki’s, while on vacation.

Still, despite the merriment, it wasn’t all sunshine and panaderĂas. As the girls loaded into the van to head to their hotel, Lisa had to take the backseat to communicate with Lenny and the lawyers, attempting to settle.

On the more positive side of things, Guerdy reported that her second surgery went very well. Viewers may recall how nervous she was to have to go under the knife a second time, so it was a relief to hear it worked out. Unfortunately, while they cleared the cancer cells, she would still have to undergo chemo. “My emotions have been all over the place,” Guerdy shared.

But that meant Guerdy was all the more excited to be in Mexico and decompress. As soon as the group got to the hotel, the drinking began. And so did the drama.

Larsa starts a fight with Alexia completely unprompted

As the girls did some drinking and had a light lunch, they broke down their schedule for the trip, highlighting a gondola ride, the Cathedral Metropolitana, and the Pride celebrations, which included Adriana’s performance of FYAH. Larsa was also excited for the girls to tour her tequila factory.

Then, for no reason at all, completely unprompted, Larsa decided to start throwing shade. She called out Alexia for being unsupportive of her businesses in the past. Indeed, in Season 5, when Larsa was pushing a dog collar onto her friends, Alexia admitted that it always felt like Larsa was selling to them during their parties. Hey, speaking of, has anyone seen Larsa’s dog lately?

Larsa admitted her feelings were hurt by Alexia’s words, saying, “I don’t have a Todd.” This took the group aback. Alexia said, “You don’t know what Todd provides for me, so that was very rude and disrespectful.” Marysol started feeling the heat and decided she’d go lie down. Alexia and Larsa began bickering for minutes on end.

Larsa, unprompted once again, stood up and started shouting. It was hard not to see this drama as forced on Larsa’s part. In a confessional, Kiki wiped her eyes with a vibrator, mocking Larsa with a bemoaning impression. “I just have this, guys,” she said, holding up the sex toy. “And this doesn’t even come with money. I had to pay for this!”

Adriana’s choreography and Lisa’s legal troubles

Later, after the girls got settled into their suites, they did some splitting up. Kiki and Julia joined Adriana at her rehearsal. She and her group of male dancers had just one single rehearsal before the performance. Kiki admitted the time constraint and the given dancers made her nervous for Adriana.

Elsewhere, Alexia, Lisa, Larsa, and Guerdy went to a bakery to pick up birthday cakes for Julia and Kiki. While Alexia and Guerdy spoke with the baker, Lisa and Larsa tried to find good lighting outside for pictures. The two discussed how Larsa and Marcus knew each other’s passwords and Lisa found that to be a bit too radical.

The girls then went to a park, which Lisa said looked “like Japan.” Excuse me? Regardless, Lisa discussed her legal troubles. She felt she was good at getting Lenny to a point she wanted but his lawyers always pulled him back. She wanted to sign the deal but she needed Lenny to give a bit more. “I’m walking on eggshells right now,” she said.

Kiki and Guerdy got problems with Larsa

As the girls got ready for their night, Kiki reported some unfortunate news to Guerdy. As it turned out, Larsa said she wouldn’t “shed fake tears like some of us.” Our very own headline flashed up on screen. Her castmates quickly interpreted that as an attack on Guerdy. Guerdy couldn’t believe the recency of Larsa’s words.

Nevertheless, when the group met up downstairs for drinks, Guerdy held back from confronting Larsa. She explained, “I have tact and class, so I will deal with her later. Timing is everything.” Good on ya, Guerdy.

Speaking of timing, Kiki was ready to stir the pot as the conversation turned toward Larsa’s spat with Alexia earlier that day. Larsa expressed her woe at the fact that Alexia couldn’t be supportive of her. Kiki expressed that she was “triggered” by Larsa’s hypocrisy since she didn’t come to the Swim Week afterparty to show her support.

Larsa’s excuse? “You know I was on antibiotics, right?” Kiki confessed she wasn’t seeing any improvement from Larsa as a friend. Larsa admitted she already got Kiki a present to make it up to her, and Kiki certainly wasn’t mad about that.

Detective Julia asks if Marcus cheated on Larsa

The party then went mobile as Alexia had a destination set. But on the way, a discussion on kinks moved to an interrogation of Larsa. Julia asked how Larsa felt when it came out that Marcus had grabbed another girl by the butt and made out with her. Larsa explained how that was “way before” her and she was also talking to other guys at the time.

Julia, however, was skeptical. She noted how the scandal came out in November, just before Larsa claimed she and Marcus were spending the holidays together. Marysol also expressed her confusion. But before the grilling could continue, the girls arrived at their destination.

They pulled up to a strange building with nearly naked men in bunny masks. Alexia said the location was an art gallery, but it was certainly unlike any gallery these women had ever seen. Alexia criticized the “holier than thou” attitude of her friends. At the very least, Kiki was loving it.

Guerdy gets into it with Larsa (again)

The ladies were then escorted into the true art gallery itself. The contemporary style wasn’t for everybody, and as the girls started trading seats and whispering to each other, Alexia couldn’t help but feel they were being very disrespectful toward the artist who was trying to explain his inspiration. The food then came out and the women were unsure of what they were eating.

To break up some of the awkward tension, Larsa suggested they play a game. Not a bad idea. Except the game that she suggested was truth or dare. Kiki was dared to do five minutes in heaven with one of the servers only to discover he was gay. When asked if they’d ever questioned their sexuality, Adriana said she had an ex who wanted to see her with two different men. She didn’t enact his fantasy, but she’d “thought about it.”

When it was Guerdy’s turn, Larsa picked truth, and Guerdy confronted her about the “fake tears.” Kiki sighed (and so did I. What happened to “tact and class” Guerdy?). Guerdy and Larsa brought up the fake argument again and Alexia felt embarrassed that her artist friend had to endure this. Even Marysol pointed out that Larsa didn’t know when to back down.

Larsa, for her part, felt that she’d been “dodging bullets all day” and was “sick of being everyone’s punching bag.” Um, Larsa, you started the argument with Alexia. Moreover, you’re still on this “fake” stuff. As Guerdy said, “You are always holding onto sh*t, that’s the problem with you … You hold onto the past.” Thankfully, some piano and interpretive dance ended the fight.

The Real Housewives of Miami continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Where Do the Below Deck Med Season 8 Cast Stand After the Finale?

Captain Sandy and Luka Brunton
Photo by: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo via Getty Images

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8 has finished up a tumultuous batch of episodes. It’s hard to say who among the cast were the winners of Season 8, but boy were there quite a few losers. A lot of reality TV is categorized by its love-to-hate stars, but these stars were deemed just plain dislikable. So, how did things shake up for them at Season 8’s conclusion?

Captain Sandy, Tumi, Luka, Natalya, and Jack

Captain Sandy Yawn finished out BDM Season 8 by expressing how she was looking forward to seeing her “love,” Leah Shafer. She also expressed her love for her position: “I love being a captain. It’s something I live for, it’s in my blood. I will be a captain until the day they put me in the ground or set me on fire.”

Moreover, Captain Sandy had kind words for the rest of the crew. In the final tip meeting, she told Tumi Mhlongo that she was a “rock star,” and praised her work ethic and her resolve in “maintaining [her] composure.” Captain Sandy said she’d been “excellent” in her position. Tumi joked, “I need a vacation ASAP.”

As for Luka Brunton, Sandy told him, “Luka, I’m telling you right now, you belong on the bridge, not the engine room.” In the captain’s eyes, Luka’s first season as a bosun was a success. As he got off the boat, he made plans to go see Natalya Scudder. Speaking of, Natalya was in Genoa and joined the crew for a final night out, making amends with Kyle Viljoen.

To chef Jack Luby, Sandy said it was a “rarity” to see a chef as enthusiastic as him.

Kyle, Jessika, Lara, Haleigh, Max, and Lily

As for Kyle, the stew had a tearful encounter with his captain. “From the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you enough for giving me an extra chance, an opportunity.” He added, “And, not only are you a captain for me, but you are a really good friend. And I respect you [for] who you are, and you are amazing at what you do.”

Sandy called him “a good person,” and in his final interview, Kyle was confident he’d be “able to navigate” a chief stew position in the future. Uh-huh. Sure. Meanwhile, Jessika Asai changed her mind about her plans to head to France with Luka. “With Luka, I learned a big lesson,” she said. “I just need a lot of time to get over this entire thing.”

Lara Du Preez shared some hugs with her castmates and asked herself, “Why did I pack so much?” as she rolled her suitcases down the dock. Haleigh Gorman shared an emotional goodbye with Lara before leaving. Max Salvador expressed, “Finally!” in an enthusiastic shout. “Freedom, liberty!”

Last up was Lily Davison, who reflected, “I think I have to live my life with no regrets. You’ve been there, you’ve done it, everything you need to do, you learn from it.” She added, “I could be a chief stew.”

Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Doesn’t Consider Herself ‘Divorced’

Janelle and Kody Brown

While the future of Sister Wives feels uncertain, Janelle Brown is certain about one thing, and that’s her marital status. Indeed, it’s hard to say what the show might look like in the coming year.

Given the popularity, it would be foolish for TLC to drop the show outright. But that begs the question of how Sister Wives could go on considering Kody Brown really only has one wife at this point.

In December 2022, Janelle confirmed that she and Kody had been separated for a few months. Now, however, separated isn’t the word Janelle would use. She wouldn’t use divorce either. So, how would Janelle describe her marital status?

Janelle and Christine’s thoughts on their splits from Kody

Janelle told PEOPLE she doesn’t consider herself truly divorced. “Because we never were legally married, I can’t really say I’m divorced.” Her reasoning was fair enough given the marriage was only official in a spiritual sense. She further explained, “I just say ‘I’m no longer with [him]’ when I explain it to outside people, I’m like, ‘I’m no longer with my partner.’”

She went on, “It’s nebulous for me at this point. It depends on who I’m talking to really. I guess I just consider myself single, I don’t consider myself divorced or separated or whatever. I just think I’m single.” Janelle differed from her sister wife Christine Brown who took pride in saying she was “straight-up divorced.”

Christine shared, “I like things clear-cut. I don’t like gray lines. I can tell you the date I was divorced.” She didn’t suppose Kody was very happy about how open she was with her divorced status. Christine added, “But if we were in our church, there’s certain rules we’d have to follow and everything like that. But we’re not in that church, we haven’t been in that church for years.”

TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF JANELLE’S THOUGHTS ON HER SINGLE STATUS? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF CHRISTINE’S IN COMPARISON?

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion, Part 3 Recap: Heather Tells All

Welcome to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion, Part 3 recap. Tonight the drama continues. In Part 2, Heather finally admitted that Jen gave her the infamous black eye in San Diego. Allegedly. Tonight she’ll tell us what actually happened and why she supposedly lied about it. Will the ladies ever be able to forgive Monica? Is Monica one-and-done? Here are some of the highlights from the RHOSLC Season 4 Reunion, Part 3.

Who is Reality Von Tease?

“Are you Reality Von Tease?” Andy asks Monica.

“I am part of the page, yes,” she responds. “I did not set up the account, I did not name the account, or open the account.”

“Were you posting things under that handle?” Andy continues. “Did you post as Reality Von Tease?”

Yes, on both counts, your Honor. “Not all of them, but yes.”

“What was the original point of Reality Von Tease?” Andy asked.

“It was to expose Jen,” Monica said. “It was to expose the truth of how she was treating her employees. I honestly feel like that page did not come for any of [the RHOSLC ladies].”

Andy then turns to Heather. “Do you have documentation of things that were posted by this account?”

“That physically hurt me?” Physically, Heather? That’s going a little far. Mentally, okay, but did the words actually physically wound you? Come on.

“Yeah, absolutely,” says Heather says. “They’re still up.”

Monica’s Burn Book

Photo: Jocelyn Prescod/Bravo

After a lot of circuitous arguing, Monica pulls out a scrapbook with the title “Burn Book RHOSLC.” It looks like a 12-year-old made it. I can’t believe Andy is giving this actual TV time.

Monica’s “amazed” that all the women are pissed off about the things she posted when she was just “quoting Jen and trying to expose how awful she was.” Monica’s definitely missing a sensitivity chip.

Andy asks, “Monica … do you want to be their friend or do you [just] want to be on the show?”

“I think both can be true,” Monica responds. “I genuinely feel bad.”

When Heather objects to Monica’s feelings, she yells back, “What is wrong with me wanting to sit on this couch? You don’t think I belong here?”

“Her plotting to get on the show is not a crime,” Andy says.

The story behind Heather’s infamous black eye

White words on a black screen: “On the morning of April 9, 2022, while on a girls’ trip to San Diego, CA, Heather Gay woke up with a black eye. Crews were not shooting at the time of the incident.”

“Heather, you shocked the world when you claimed that Jen gave you the black eye,” Andy begins. “Tell us how it happened.”

“Honestly, it was a lot of drinking,” she answers. “The next morning, I woke up with the black eye. I knew I’d gotten it from Jen. I didn’t know how, but I knew I’d gotten it from Jen. She was the first person I texted. She came in the room, and she said, ‘Did I give that to you?’ And I said, ‘Don’t worry. I’ll cover.’”

“Why was your inclination, ‘I’m gonna cover for her?’” Andy asks.

“I don’t know. I was scared of her, I think.”

“Were you scared, at that point, cause she was in legal trouble?” Andy follows up.

“I’d been covering for her for three years,” Heather admits. “I was not gonna stop at the black eye … [’cause] I was too scared to say anything … I was still scared to say it at the reunion, and I was still scared to say it in Bermuda. But as I sat there, watching this happen again, I realized that I was contributing.”

“Well, we have some footage to share of San Diego,” Andy says. Really? Something new, I hope? Heather just puts her face in her hands and shakes her head.

The security footage and Heather’s apology tour

Another message pops up on a black screen: “Security footage from Heather’s room was reviewed immediately. The audio was unintelligible. At the time, Jen and Heather both said they were discussing a different topic. [But] Heather now claims this footage shows them discussing the black eye.”

“Did I give that to you?” Heather remembers Jen saying. “I can’t believe I did that to you.”

“I said, ‘Don’t worry about it, I got you,’” Heather repeats. “She was upset. We were both upset.”

“Well, Heather, Jen has continued to deny that she gave you the black eye.”

A screencap of Jen tweeting from jail reads, “Bravo, if I punched Heather in her eye, you guys would have footage to prove it.” I didn’t know you could tweet from prison. Can inmates have phones?

There was also a Bravo shoutout to Reality Tea! Very cool!

“Let me just start by saying I’m sorry,” Heather tells Andy. “I’m sorry to you, I’m sorry to you guys [her co-stars], I’m sorry to the network, I’m sorry to the audience … I knew that it was becoming bigger and more than I could handle. It was a horrible situation … I knew the relentlessness of what would come … It was horrible.”

“You went as far as to lie on your book tour,” Andy mentions. Heather covered up a crime and an assault.

Does Monica deserve grace?

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion, Part 3 recap

Andy then asks Heather a hard question. “Is the grace that you’re asking of everyone now, the same grace that should be given to [Monica]? … You lied to production, to Bravo, and even at one point said that maybe a producer had done it to you, which is very serious because it puts people’s reputations and jobs at risk. Did you ever go to [Jen] and say, ‘This is getting bigger…’”

“Yeah,” Heather says, “we talked about it a lot … She said, ‘Unless they can show us the footage, we deny.’”

“And did she thank you?” Andy wonders. Oh, Andy. This is Jen Shah we’re talking about.

“No,” Heather scoffed. “Jen Shah? She was never my friend. She pretended to be my friend, and I fell for it. And I will not fall for a pretend friend again. I was a different person then, and I was worried about the retaliation [from social media] … I was a different person when I started this show, and the person who would eat that sh*t then is not gonna do it now.”

Assault and physical abuse

Monica Garcia in RHOSLC
Photo: Fred Hayes/Bravo

Andy asks Monica what she thinks after hearing Heather’s story.

“Watching that was really hard,” she says. “I do think that Heather and I have gone through it, and maybe Angie … I’m talking about physical abuse from Jen Shah … Angie had a drink poured on her. That, to me, is assault. Heather can hate me all she wants, but you can never deny that she and I went through that same exact trauma. I went about it a different way. She kept it all in, I blurted it all out … I completely understand the fear of retaliation, I literally get phone calls now from people threatening me because I have come out with so much about Jen and my involvement in the Federal trial.”

Andy asks how the women feel about Heather’s decision to hide what Jen did to her. Whitney feels terrible for Heather.

“Knowing who Jen Shah is and what she’s capable of, I know why Heather hid it,” she says. I’m sorry you had to go through all that.”

“I never want that around me again EVER,” Lisa says.

Meredith says, “I understand 100% why Heather did not want to come clean with that … I give her a lot of grace. I really do.”

“I’m so surprised that we are, all this time later, still cleaning up the mess of this person,” Andy says. “[She] really had such a chokehold on everybody. If she’s watching this, you would say what to her?”

“I would say, I’m no longer your bitch,” Heather responds. “I regret believing in you, I regret fighting her fight, I regret disrespecting my children, my family and my opportunity here.” Heather admits she’s glad Jen’s in prison cause she might not have the courage to say all this otherwise.

Is there forgiveness for Monica?

The RHOSLC Season 4 reunion
Photo: Clifton Prescod/Bravo

Observing that Jen Shah pushed a lot of people to do things they wouldn’t ordinarily do, Andy asks if there’s any grace for Monica?

Even though she appreciates what Monica said, Heather says, “The way that you handled it and the way that it affected me and the way you came in today, it hurt me more and it didn’t resolve anything for me.”

They all agree that it was a great season. “So knowing all those good things that happened,” Andy adds, “is it too insurmountable for you guys to move on as a group? That’s the question. We may not answer it today. You all may need a little bit of time.”

“What would Monica have to say to you guys to make this okay?” Andy wants to know. Did Andy sign a multi-year contract with Monica? He seems to want everyone to forgive her and move on. He’s pushing pretty hard for redemption. Does Monica have dirt on Andy in her Burn Book?

None of the ladies is ready to forgive Monica and move on. Nobody trusts her at this point. How can anybody be her friend when there’s no trust?

All seasons of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are now streaming on Peacock.

Monica Garcia Leaves Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

Monica Garcia might go down in Bravo history as the best one and done they’ve ever had. Like her or not, hand Mon the Aspercreme because she carried Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on her back during Season 4.

She gave vulnerability, a scandalous past, and a connection with Jen Shah. Then she threw all of her cards on the table after Heather Gay called her bluff. The OG ladies were aghast at the notion of a social media account trolling the show, and threats were made. Now it seems they got what they wanted after the reunion. Be careful what you wish for once Season 5 rolls around, Monica has left the building. People has the details.

Did Bravo just blow it?

Multiple insiders have confirmed Monica’s last episode was Part 3 of the reunion. Full disclosure, as someone who writes about reality television, this move shocked me. Monica was a standout who offered amazing content. And let’s be clear, it’s hard to follow someone being arrested by Homeland Security and then watching her lie to, you know, the world.

She came in like a spitfire and checked all of the boxes, but the cast had some issues with the freshman. Yes, her connection with Jen was analyzed and broken down. Sure, there was a troll Instagram account that mainly targeted Jen, but others weren’t immune. Unfortunately, Monica’s final nail in the coffin might have been her now-dismissed lawsuit against Heather’s business, Beauty Lab + Laser. Bravo will tolerate many things, but the Big Guys don’t like cast court issues.

While Monica’s fan base might be a niche group, what would Season 4 have been without Monica? Lisa Barlow crying about losing a ring? Angie Katsanevas throwing more Greek-themed parties and Mob Wife memes? Or Heather’s exciting book tour? Mary Cosby insulting people while sitting in a Sprinter Van?

Good luck to Season 5

None of this is horrible, but it won’t pull viewers. For a lot of RHOSLC watchers, it was easier to relate to someone with a peculiar mother than someone who visibly wept because they didn’t want to participate in drag night.

Heather seemed the most pressed about Monica’s actions. I mean she’s Queen Bee after her stunning monologue on the beach in Bermuda. But she couldn’t seem to cope with Monica’s deceit. Perhaps she was too exhausted after covering for a felon for so long. Allegedly. Deceit comes in many forms, I guess.

The streets are saying two new cast members will now magically appear, but nothing has been confirmed. The ladies are to begin filming Season 5 next month.
