Deal or No Deal Island Episode 8 Recap: One Player Fails To Complete the Challenge

Welcome back! Let’s get right into the Deal or No Deal Island Episode 8 recap. Last time, Stephanie played against the Banker and won, sending Alyssa home. Poor Aron left The Temple amid a panic attack. This week’s episode, “Are You Meticulous?” features a crazy challenge in a swamp. Here’s everything you need to know about Deal or No Deal Island Episode 8!

Aron’s emotional state

Aron was emotional and anxious after Alyssa, his best friend in the game, was eliminated. He was particularly upset that he didn’t stand up for her.

The group, minus Boston Rob, was sitting at the table and Aron reluctantly sat down. Amy asked to talk with him, and Aron responded, “If you feel like it’s not too problematic.” Amy told Aron that she didn’t “appreciate” when Aron told her to stop slamming Alyssa.

Aron stood up, yelled at Amy, and walked away. Amy complained because he told her to stop dissing Alyssa at The Temple. Was Amy salty because Aron nixed her pitch to be in a final two alliance?

After Aron left, Nick revealed that Aron told Alyssa that he would “avenge” her. Meanwhile, Jordan went to check on Aron as Boston Rob arrived. He admitted in his confessional that he “has a soft spot for Aron.” As the Night Owls were busy hooting, Rob told Aron to let him know if any players bothered him. He also said that the best way to honor Alyssa was to play the best game possible.

A new day

Jordan chatted with Aron to see how he was doing. She was happy with her position floating in the middle without a target on her back. Right now, it is The Night Owls against Rob and Aron.

In fact, while Rob and Aron were sitting alone, they could hear The Night Owls hooting. “I can’t stand the gleefulness of this morning,” Rob said. Same. I don’t mind a little hooting, but reel it in, guys.

Rob was also worried about Aron. They can’t be in the middle and be safe. They have to shoot for immunity. And right now, Aron isn’t in great shape due to his emotional distress.

As they headed to the excursion, the group saw a sign that said, “Swamp of Secrets.” The Banker has arranged, in the host’s words, “a super unpleasant terrain slog.” Lovely. According to Joe, the Banker wanted to test their precision.

There were 10 pedestals with case value amounts on top of them. At the bottom of the pedestal were ropes that led into the swamp. Each rope was connected to an unmarked case. Guests must lock in a case within 45 minutes. The highest-value case was worth a staggering $4.5 million.

Plus, the Banker made the stakes interesting. The players who grab the four highest-value cases will be safe. Any of the bottom three competitors will be in jeopardy.

Each player stood behind a giant timer. They must wait for their sand to empty before beginning their swamp trek. And, just to make this more stressful, each player must sabotage another player by adding sand to their timer. Amy poured her sand into Aron’s timer, as did Dawson. Nick targeted Rob, and Rob added his sand to Amy’s timer. In the end, Stephanie was the only person with no sand.

A down-and-dirty challenge

Stephanie headed off as the other players unplugged their timers. Stephanie took her time at the cases, while everyone else had the go-ahead to enter the game. That left just Aron and Joe.

Rob and Nick both followed the $4.5 million rope. Everyone ran, swam in the dank water, climbed through tangled trees and brush, and tried to follow their rope. It was chaos. Eventually, Rob abandoned the highest-value rope and let Nick have it.

Amy lost her rope and grabbed a case from a tree, as did Rob. Then Rob saw Aron wandering alone. He told Aron to take that case. Dragging the cases back to the check-in station was a huge challenge because they were still attached to a rope.

Nick locked in the $4.5 million, bellowing “King of the jungle, baby!” He will decide who goes against the Banker.

Rob was the next player back. He told Joe that he just grabbed a case that he saw. “Let me ask you this. Do you feel lucky?” Joe asked. Well, I guess so, since he nabbed the $3.75 million. Rob was also safe!

Dawson was the third player back, and instead of a higher-value case, he had $2.75 million. Stephanie had the $3.25 million case. Unfortunately, she thought it was in the top four, and it wasn’t. Amy lugged back the $3 million case.

As time ran down, Aron and Jordan were still in the swamp, wrestling with their cases. Jordan locked in the $4 million case. With a minute left, Aron returned without a case.

“I tried my best. I tried to fight for Alyssa, but I’m drained. I’m spent. This was more than just a failure,” Aron said. “It’s an epic failure.”

Two players want to face the Banker

Nick, Jordan, Rob, and Stephanie are safe. But Dawson, Aron, and Amy were the bottom three.

When Rob told Aron that they needed to convince Nick to let Aron play, Aron didn’t want to speak with him. And Dawson was psyched to play the Banker and make a big move. And that move would be to beat the Banker and send Aron home.

Finally, Aron approached Nick and explained that he wanted to be in charge of his destiny in the game. But Nick was concerned that if Dawson played and lost, the Night Owls would be down a member. And if Aron played and won, then Amy or Dawson would be sent home. Decisions, decisions.

Who will face the Banker in The Temple?

Dawson Addis faces off against The Banker in Deal or No Deal Island Episode 8.

Joe asked Dawson what he would do with the final case if he made it to the finale. “My Ma recently decided to move pretty far north. We rarely ever see her. I would just really like to see her retire and get her back home,” Dawson said. “Obviously, there’s a lot of grandkids right now. My brothers are reproducing a lot.”

So, Dawson selected number three as his case. During this round, he has to open six cases. Dawson was on fire, clearing five low amounts off the board.

The Banker called, and Joe jokingly answered, “Dawson’s assistant speaking.” The Banker’s first offer was $1,166,000. When Joe asked Aron if he should take the offer, he responded that Dawson could decide for himself. As for Nick? His response was, “Hell no!”

So, Dawson refused the offer. He now has to open three cases in the next round. Dawson lost three big numbers off the board. Yikes!

The Banker called with an offer of $1,399,000. Then the phone rang again. The Banker was nervous, so he presented Dawson with a personal offer of $100,000. But with one big catch. If he accepts it, Dawson will have to leave the game.

Who was eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island, Episode 8?

Dawson Addis was the seventh player eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island.

In the end, Dawson accepted the banker’s personal offer. The $1,399,000 will be added to the final case value, which jumped up to $4,491,000. Joe asked if Dawson’s mother would be proud of him. “One hundred percent,” Dawson said. “She’s going to be very proud.”

Just for fun, Dawson opened his case, which was valued at $2.75 million. He pulled his case! But he would have made a bad deal if Dawson accepted the Banker’s offer.

In his final confessional, Dawson admitted, “It was very bittersweet to eliminate myself from the game knowing that, you know, the Night Owls went from four to three. I took the personal offer because I want to obviously, get my family all together.” He added, “I’m hoping my Night Owls are the ones who kick ass and finally win at the end of this game.”

Deal or No Deal Island continues on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.

Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Season 2, Episode 4 Recap: You Had Me Messed Up

The cast of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Season 2 is not playing about providing us with non-stop drama. If you watched last week’s episode, you caught all of the action between Noelle and Alex, Bria versus the house, and Jordan and Summer. This week, we’re touching on all of that and THEN SOME. Here’s everything that went down in Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Season 2, Episode 4: “Summer Under Pressure.”

Jordan and Summer

At the end of the last episode, Jordan and Summer were at each other’s throats. They argued at dinner over a misunderstanding, and the car ride home wasn’t any better. Summer slammed the car door on the way inside the house and cried to some of her roommates, like Amir and Jasmine. Summer stated that she’d been there for Jordan at every moment and held Jordan before dinner when she cried about her hair falling out due to Alopecia.

Jordan spoke to Shanice, Preston, and Nick downstairs and told them she felt misunderstood. “Even these moments are used against me,” she said. As she continued, Jordan told them about her hair and said she wasn’t feeling like herself. “I don’t know how much more open I can be about that and the fact that it was just, so, like … I’m just embarrassed.”

Jordan told the producers during her confessional that she’ll deal with Alopecia for the rest of her life. “Summer weaponized my vulnerability,” she said. “Why would you be telling somebody that you know I’m not on good terms with anything to do about my life, let alone as personal as me losing my hair? That’s odd to me.”

Noelle explains why Alex’s rejection hurt her

During the last episode, Noelle finally told Alex she was interested in him. After they finished talking, they decided they would just be friends. Noelle was embarrassed and stated Alex gracefully rejected her.

In this episode, she told the producers why his rejection hurt her. She said it stemmed from not having a relationship with her father. “My dad … was never a present parent,” she said. I just don’t know how you could abandon your own child.” She continued with teary eyes, saying, “I spent my teen years searching so hard for love.”

“No matter how much I cry, I beg, I write letters, I do everything … he’s never going to love me how I should. [And] I just don’t get it, ’cause I don’t deserve this.”

Will the two besties be able to work it out?

After a long day, Jordan and Summer finally sat down to talk about their explosive fight. Jordan started and said she didn’t understand why they were fighting, and why Summer brought up her Alopecia to Jasmine. “I do feel like you sharing that is a violation,” she said.

Summer responded, saying before they address the private moment, they have to talk about their time at dinner. “There were times last night where your tone toward me felt very belittling,” she said.

Summer explained that she was trying to tell the group she was there for Jordan during a time of need. Jordan said that she felt Summer “exposed” a part of her, and their friendship doesn’t feel like a “safe space” anymore.

We’ll see how their friendship progresses throughout the season.

Jordan opens up to the group

Jordan’s fight with Summer clearly took a toll on her. She was to herself throughout the rest of the day and did not speak much to the group. Alex pointed it out during their group dinner and asked if she was doing okay.

Bria also asked her how she was feeling “deep down.” Jordan opened up, saying she’s experienced a “lot of loss in my life” and that she’s been “responsible for a lot of people’s lives.” It’s “impacted” the way she sees life, and she said her brain is “constantly thinking about time.”

Jordan told producers that she lost her mother at age 17 and inherited her grandparents. She also told the group that she was losing her hair. “I don’t know what’s going on with me [or] if I’m okay.”

Alex versus … EVERYBODY

After Jordan had an emotional moment with the group, Alex thanked her for sharing. He said he felt he better understood her at that moment than he did the summer before. Jordan fired back, saying, “That’s not true.”

“You didn’t understand me because you had my friend f*cked up. And I was ready to kick your ass if we’re going to keep it gangsta. You had me completely f*cked up with the Shanice situation.”

For those who need a refresher, Alex discussed Shanice’s legal troubles with her ex during Season 1. Rumors circulated that Shanice allegedly stalked this man and was a “crazy” ex-girlfriend. “There [are] articles out there about how she is a stalker, and there’s a restraining order against her,” he said during an earlier episode.

Jordan continued, referring to another Season 1 moment where Alex called Jordan the “toxic friend.”

“You judged me the first time you met me … why you don’t understand me is completely different.”

Alex replied, saying he was “tired of people bringing” this situation up. He explained that he was trying to “protect” Shanice from people eventually Googling her. He also said he first heard the accusations from Nick.

Shanice jumped in, saying he didn’t protect her. “You traumatized me, Alex.” She continued, saying her “anxiety is horrible from that” and she’s “legit traumatized from it.” However, they were able to reach common ground and hug it out.

Jasmine finally explodes…

When we thought the night was over, Bria told the table she had something to say. In the last episode, the group discussed former roommates returning to visit, specifically Phil Brooks and Mariah Torres. By the end of the conversation, the group decided Mariah could come while Phil could not. However, Bria shared something different that night.

“I’m just going to be completely honest, [but] I don’t feel comfortable with Mariah coming in the house,” Bria said. “Me saying, ‘I’m fine with it,’ I’m not. I have to be authentic to myself. Phil, Mariah, all [of this] sh*t is too much, and I’m telling you right now, I don’t want it.”

Jasmine was gagged. “I don’t even know what to say right now, to be honest.” Some of her castmates encouraged her to speak her mind cause it seemed like she was holding something back. Bria said Mariah was “f*cking with my mental peace,” and she wasn’t here for it.

Jasmine began crying, saying she was “frustrated” with the back-and-forth because she felt isolated from most of the group after Season 1. “I didn’t know where I stood with anybody.”

“…I needed y’all this summer,” she said. ” [I] just needed fun and support — I’m going through a lot right now.”

TO BE CONTINUED.

Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard continues on Sundays at 9/8c.

How Garrison Brown’s Family Plan to Honor Sister Wives Star Through Clothing Company

Garrison Brown
TLC/YouTube

The Brown family is still very much recovering from the tragic loss of Garrison Brown. The Sister Wives star was found deceased in his Flagstaff home due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. For years, viewers have watched Garrison grow up on the small screen. And in most reason seasons, he shared his fallout with his father, Kody Brown. The father and son didn’t see eye to eye on how to handle the worldwide pandemic. Ultimately, Garrison was left feeling abandoned by the polygamous patriarch.

Garrison and Kody were still very much estranged and hadn’t spoken since Covid times. Sadly, there was no buddy/buddy relationship, and the two weren’t able to reconcile before his passing. But no one saw this end for Garrison. Even though the family is still mourning this terrible loss, they are determined to keep Garrison’s legacy alive in a very special way.

Bob’s Florals

Garrison was a lot of things, and he channeled a lot of hobbies. One of his pride and joys was his Hawaiian T-shirt, Bob’s Florals. In 2019, shortly before the worldwide pandemic took over, Garrison opened up his online clothing shop. The store sold shirts, dresses, and swimwear. After a whirlwind opening, Garrison temporarily paused his clothing line. At the time, citing “My reopening plan is BIG but needs time to be executed.” The sixth child of Kody shared, “I wish for Bob’s Florals to be made domestically and with care and passion for those who seek an easy-going lifestyle.” Sadly, the shop was never reopened under Garrison’s command.

New start

The Brown family seems to be looking to keep the legacy of free and easy living alive. The U.S. Sun confirmed that some of Garrison’s family members are looking to give the shop a rebirth in his honor. Bob’s Floral LLC is still active and in good standing. A source close to the family also acknowledged that the family plans to “carry on” with his dream. The source noted, “He was definitely planning on working on his clothing, but before his death, he wasn’t really doing much of anything, truthfully.”

As Sister Wives viewers learned, Garrison was quite low. The source revealed, “He was depressed and was unhappy, and he didn’t feel like he was getting much success from anything.” Garrison had no immediate plans to relaunch his site, even though fans were eagerly waiting.

However, the Brown family has decided to start up Bob’s Floral once more. They shared, “But now, oddly enough, there are conversations within the family about how they’re going to try to keep his legacy alive.” I could see Janelle Brown taking the wheel as she is both creative and finance-driven. After leaving Kody, this would be the perfect hobby to keep her busy and honor her son. The source noted, “They plan on carrying on some of his dreams, which can be done by his brothers.”

The Brown family remembers

The insider also shared that the Browns are “working on creating a foundation for him.” A few ideas are being tossed around, but the foundation could be geared towards saving animals. The family source noted, “They’re going to turn what happened into a positive.” Garrison’s death brought the Brown family together forming an impromptu family reunion.

Some of Garrison’s siblings hadn’t seen their father in years due to a massive falling out. In funeral photos, Sister Wives fans could see that Kody, Robyn Brown, Meri Brown, and Christine Brown were all in attendance. Hunter Brown, Paedon Brown, Mykelti Brown, and Leon Brown were also included. All opted to wear Garrison’s shirt in honor of him. Kody chose to wear a pink dress suit and blue suit jacket. The reason being he was in mourning and “didn’t feel like parading around in a colorful wardrobe.”

The source commented that choosing to wear the shirts was a “sentimental thing between the kids.” So, while Garrison may be gone from this earth, his legacy won’t be forgotten.
