Deal or No Deal Island Episode 2 Recap: A Camp Divided

Welcome back! Let’s dive right into the Deal or No Deal Island Season 1, Episode 2 recap. Last time, the Banker welcomed 13 guests to his tropical island. After landing at the bottom, Aron went against the Banker and won $600,000 for the final case. And he sent Brantzen home. This week’s episode, titled “Are You Calculating?” features some unexpected highs for the players. Here’s everything you need to know about Deal or No Deal Island Season 1, Episode 2!

Alliances are forming

Aron reflected on his win against the Banker. He has a learning disability and a stutter, but he wanted to be seen as a true competitor, and an inspiration to others. Boston Rob touched base with Aron, who he thinks of as a little brother. Rob will handle dealing with the big groups, and Aron will handle “the little stuff.” I don’t know what stuff Rob is referring to, but I’m sure Rob has it all under control.

The dynamic duo discussed what a threat Kim is in the game. Meanwhile, Kim is a reality TV fanatic, so she knows how Rob plays. She was pushing to get Rob out because he was a huge threat. But Jamil wasn’t enthused about her plan, so now Kim has doubts about him.

There seem to be two groups at camp. Rob’s merry band includes Jamil, Aron, Nick, Claudia, and Miranda. Jamil spilled all the tea to Rob about Kim’s plan. Meanwhile, Kim’s group includes Alyssa, Amy, Dawson, and Jordan. Kim told her group that Jamil was sus.

But Alyssa decided to play both sides of the camp. So, she cozied up to Aron. He told her that she was the person that he felt closest to on the island. Does that spell trouble for Aron’s big bro?

Are the Banker’s guests “calculating?”

Joe welcomed the group to the Banker’s private recreation club. This challenge will test “how calculating” the players can be. The group will be split into pairs. Each duo will have a hunter and gatherer. The hunter will shoot at disks, with the smaller sizes attached to cases with the highest value. The catch?

The arrows were shot high up into the trees. Each team can climb up and retrieve up to 10 arrows. The team that shoots down the case with the highest value is safe from elimination. If a player shoots down the case with the lowest value or runs out of arrows, they will be in the bottom two.

But the devious Banker wasn’t done. Above the arrows was another personal offer. A player could grab it and claim $20,000 in cash. But, doing so might slow the team down. Decisions, decisions.

Jamil wanted to win the money so he could woo back his former wife. He made mistakes as a husband, so he wanted to win the money to create a better life for her and their kids. He is on a mission to get his wife back.

The Teams

The contestants selected colored armbands to determine the partnerships. The teams are:

  • Dawson and Jordan
  • Kim and Alyssa
  • Boston Rob and Aron
  • Claudia and Jamil
  • Nick and Stephanie
  • Amy and Miranda

Welcome to the jungle!

Aron was having a hard time, and Rob was worried about how long it was taking. Climbing and rappelling down these high trees looks absolutely miserable. Aron was the last one to return, and he retrieved three arrows for Rob. Kudos to Aron for his determination.

Alyssa was the second to last person out of the trees, but she claimed a personal offer. She decided to keep it a secret. Good idea.

Whose arrows missed the mark?

Deal or No Deal Island Episode 2 Recap

Dawson bragged about having his own crossbow, but his firing was way off. And Rob was only aiming for the $1.5 million.

Finally, Kim and Rob were both down to their last arrows. Kim missed, so if Rob shoots down a case, Alyssa and Kim will be in the bottom two. And not only does he get a case – he gets the $1.5 million!

“Boston Robinhood with his last arrow hits the $1.5 million and takes control of the game,” Joe exclaimed. Meanwhile, Kim started to weep in Alyssa’s arms. I’m sure Alyssa was rethinking her alliance strategy and thinking of joining Team Robinhood.

So, that means that Rob and Aron will decide whether Kim or Alyssa will face the Banker in The Temple. I wonder who they will pick. Just kidding!

Back at camp, Alyssa confided in Aron that she took the personal offer. But Rob was annoyed when he found out that Aron told Alyssa that she was safe. He warned Aron that now everyone would know, and he needed to stop showing his cards.

Jamil, Nick, and Claudia feel that if Kim beats the banker, she will target one of them. Kim carried on and cried at camp to everyone who would listen. In their tent, Kim was crying to Claudia. But the former Deal or No Deal suitcase model noted that she saw no tears. Or as Claudia so eloquently put it, “Those are some dry-ass tears.”

Who will face the Banker in The Temple?

Kim Mattina faces off against The Banker in Deal or No Deal Island Episode 2.

Kim joined Joe at the podium. “This could be the end of an opportunity for me, but I may be joining them in a matter of minutes and keep going for the money and kick their ass,” Kim stated. Shots fired! Rob remarked that her words were “a little aggressive.”

Joe asked Kim what she would do if she won the final case. Kim explained that she just lost her job. So this was a much-needed opportunity.

For her case, Kim selected case number five. For the first round, Kim selected six cases. She immediately knocked off the two lowest numbers. Her luck changed and she lost three of the four highest cases. When the Banker called and offered her $123,000, everyone liked the offer. But Kim was insulted by it and turned it down.

The group was not happy with Kim’s decision. Claudia told Kim that she made a mistake. The $1.5 million was still there, and Kim kept pointing to that fact.

The Banker upped his offer to $225,000. Claudia wanted Kim to play another round so that she would be eliminated. But Kim took the deal, which added $225,000 to the final case. She opened her case, and it held $100.00. So, not only is Kim safe, but she will decide who will go home.

Who was eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island, Episode 2?

Jamil Sipes was the second player eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island.

Kim sent Jamil home. In her confessional, Kim said that Jamil was “covertly sneaky,” unlike Claudia, who was “directly sneaky.” And not knowing what Jamil was thinking was a threat to Kim.

Joe asked if Jamil had any final words. “I can’t wait to see which one of you guys make a lot of money because it’s going to be somebody here,” he said. During a group hug, Claudia told Jamil, “I’m going to get her for you.” Watch out, Kim!

During his final confessional, Jamil stated, “I didn’t think that I was on anybody’s radar. But then when I realized that Kim was going to be on the bottom…damn! Even though I didn’t win a million dollars, it’s possible that my ex-wife would take me back. She was never really money motivated,” he added. Fingers crossed, Jamil!

Afterward, Claudia was disturbed by Kim’s decision to target Jamil. “It really feels ugly to me, and I don’t appreciate it,” she remarked. And now she has her sights set on sending Kim home.

Deal or No Deal Island continues on Mondays at 10 PM/ET on NBC.

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 5 Recap: Who’s Your Mummy?

Photo by: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo via Getty Images

Welcome back to Below Deck Season 11, Episode 5. In this week’s episode, called “Come On Eileen,” Barbie changes her perspective and promises to play nice. Jared gets support from the Captain, and the crew attends to some of the most vile charter guests ever. Xandi continues trying to train Cat to be a better stew, but it’s just not sinking in. Here are the highlights from Below Deck Season 11, Episode 5.

Barbie agrees to adjust her attitude

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

When we left off last week, Fraser was having a face-off with Barbie at the bar on their night out. He’d just finished telling her she’d better change her attitude and start showing some respect for others (especially her boss) or she’d be on a plane home.

“I need you to understand,” Fraser tells her, “that if I’m like, ‘No, this is the way,’ that’s not personal.”

Finally, she tells him, “I get it. I want you to know I get it, okay? I’m a spoiled bitch who gets everything she wants all the f*cking time. And I need to get the f*ck over it. I need to grow up. Like, who do I think I am?”

“Babe, you’re amazing,” Fraser assures her.

“Barbie’s a spoiled brat,” he interviews, “but in yachting, work ethic and attitude [are] everything. She loves to say that she’s honest, and she just says it how it is, but that’s just not how life works. You need to filter.”

That settled, he tells her, “Let’s get drunk and have fun.”

“I swear, you’re going to see a whole change, okay?” she promises.

Good talk. We’ll see how it goes, especially with Cat.

Jared gets a pep talk

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

Jared is frustrated that he hasn’t been able to get a cell signal. “I only get, like, two times a week to talk to my daughter,” he says. “I’m in jeopardy of losing all communication if I don’t … stick to the schedule … [I’m] trying to build trust again.”

The next morning, as Jared’s still trying to get a signal, Captain Kerry is talking to his daughter. Maybe Jared needs to switch providers? Maybe he needs to invest in a satellite phone.

Captain Kerry radios for Jared to come to the bridge. After updating him on the prep for the next charter, Jared shares his frustration with being unable to reach his daughter.

“Last night was particularly difficult for me,” he says. “I wasn’t able to speak to [her].”

As a father himself, Kerry can relate. “That sucks,” he sympathizes, as Jared apologizes for getting emotional. “Don’t be sorry for having an emotion, dude. I learned a few years ago that you need to get this stuff out. You’re stronger showing emotion than holding it.”

“When I was going through divorce, I couldn’t do my job,” Kerry says. “I tried many different methods of trying to get my sh*t together. Got rid of drinking. Started exercising. I started listening to self-help books. So, I can relate.”

“At any point, you need to [talk to] someone … just come and see me,” Kerry tells him. “Hitting the piss [alcohol] is not gonna help ya … Work through it. You’re the bosun of the boat. You’ve gotta hold yourself to a higher level.”

“He’s going through a tough spot,” Kerry interviews, “but when you’re head of department, you can’t have your head in the clouds … It affects your safety and the safety of the guests. You’ve gotta be focused on the job.”

Boat daddy

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

Fraser meets with Captain Kerry on the bridge. “Hey, matey! What you got?” Kerry asks.

“A couple of things for you, sir,” Fraser starts. “Cat, I think she may be going through things outside of work, which I sympathize with. She’s been fragile since the beginning of the season. Tears most days, just so you know. That’s what we’re running with.”

Captain suggests that when Fraser sees she’s having a rough day, he could let her take half an hour to go to her cabin and catch her breath, if it’s possible.

“On that note, yesterday and the day before, I had a fantastic response from Barbie,” the Chief Stew continued. “She changed her perspective.”

“Barbie’s brilliant with guests,” Fraser interviews. “[She’s] on it and quick, but she doesn’t always have the best attitude towards people. However, Barbie said she’s going to turn things around and be better. Let’s have hope that she will.”

“The captain is brilliant,” Fraser tells Chef Anthony in the galley a few minutes later.

“I know, he’s a great captain,” Chef responds. “He’s doing an amazing job. He’s like our daddy.”

“Yeah,” Fraser agrees. “And guess who’s your mummy?”

“You are my mummy,” Chef says.

“That’s correct,” Fraser answers. LOL.

Plastic cups only, please

Photo: Bravo

Captain Kerry calls Fraser, Jared, and Anthony to a preference sheet meeting for the upcoming charter. “Please do not hand Tina [the primary] a champagne glass,” reads Kerry. “She prefers to drink out of a plastic cup.” How classy. Also wasteful. I guess people who live in Iowa don’t worry about filling our oceans with plastic.

Fraser agrees with me. “It’s stupid and psychotic to be asking for plastic for every single drink,” he says.

The madness continues, as Kerry continues to read, “Dislikes beef, pork, poultry, eggs, tofu … “ Omg, is the chef going to have to make her buttered noodles? What does this woman eat?

“She’s got a lot of problems, this woman,” Fraser comments. “Like, come on, babe. Enjoy life … She’s got a screw loose.”

Later that evening, Fraser meets with his interior crew. For the next charter, “Barbie, I’m going to have you on service,” he says. “Cat, I want you to work between departments. Xan, you’re phenomenal at housekeeping, but more importantly, I trust you. And I would be totally honored to have you as my second [stew], moving forward in this charter season.”

And with that, he pulls out a two-stripe epaulet and hands it to her.

“Honestly, I don’t need a stripe to prove my worth,” Xandi interviews. “And now this is going to cause more attention to me.”

And she’s not wrong. “Of course, he picked her to be second,” Barbie interviews, heavy on the eye rolls. “Xandi’s so far up Fraser’s ass, and I’m not going up there. Whatever … In my mind, I’m the second stew. This is all bullsh*t.” Whatever floats your boat, Barbie. Remember that “new attitude” you promised Fraser?

Drunk shaming

Photo: Bravo

When the guests arrive, Tina is pleased to see her welcome champagne in a plastic cup. Whatever. After the tour of the boat, Fraser double checks her preferences. Looks like she’s a pescatarian (fish only). No meat, no eggs, no tofu.

“It doesn’t look like Tina likes anything at all,” Fraser interviews. “She doesn’t like smiling. She just doesn’t like much. But I will do my best to deal with it.”

Tina is the high-maintenance primary. Her husband is Rich. They’re traveling with Tina’s business partner Mike and his wife Eileen. Rich and Eileen are like oil and water. For some reason, she irritates him, and they bicker constantly. Tina says it’s because they’re both the same person. They’re basically “twins.”

When Eileen, who “likes to drink,” struggles to speak, Rich teases, “Eileen, do you have something on your mind?”

When Eileen clumsily tries to grab a piece of sushi with her chopsticks, and it falls back on her plate, Rich asks, “Eileen, do you have enough to drink?”

“I’ve had five, I’m good,” she answers. Wow. That’s why her motor functions aren’t working so well.

When the guests are leaving to go snorkeling, Ben asks, “How do you guys all know each other?”

Rich explains that his wife and Mike work together, “And Eileen’s just the local drunk that we’ve picked up.” Oh, that’s just mean. Rich is an asshole.

When they get in the tender to leave for their snorkeling trip, Eileen asks, “Where are we … What are we doing?” Sunny just spent ten minutes fitting her with fins, a snorkel, and a life jacket. Drink some water, Eileen. I know you’re on vacation, but wouldn’t you like to remember some of it?

Pudding provocation

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

The night’s dessert is profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Yum! Tina dives right in as soon as her plate hits the table. “It tastes like egg,” she says. “I hate it.”

“Did you taste it already?” Eileen asks.

“She did!” Beth says. “She didn’t wait for everybody. How rude!”

Everyone piles on Tina for not waiting for everyone to get their dessert. Okay, a little rude, but it’s chocolate (and there’s been a lot of alcohol consumed). I might have been tempted, too.

Though Tina explains she didn’t want her ice cream to melt, Beth keeps at it, “Tina, dude, wait! I can hardly wait to have a bite. I was waiting for everyone else, though. That’s kinda how I roll.” Do you want a medal, Beth?

“If you’re a polite person,” Eileen slurs, “you wait until everyone has their … This is how we do it in the real world.”

Omg. It might have been a little hasty, but Tina is your hostess, people. Lighten up. Jeez Louise. It’s just ice cream in a puff pastry.

Finally, Tina’s had enough of the profiterole persecution. “I’m done,” she says, and she leaves the table.

“Nighty night, girl,” someone calls, sarcastically.

“Is Tina gone for the night?” Eileen asks Rich.

“As of right now, yeah,” her husband says, while Tina goes downstairs in tears.

Beth’s husband Rob followed Tina downstairs and gave her a hug. That was nice. None of her other friends (or her own husband) seem bothered that they hounded her out of the room. Nice friends.

Eileen has a near-death experience

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

As Tina’s crying alone in her cabin, her husband Rich and all of their “friends” decide to take the party to the hot tub. That’s a great place for people who have already had too much to drink. Isn’t that kind of dangerous?

Barbie offers to bring everyone water, but Rich wants more alcohol. “Don’t make a trip without bringing everyone another drink … AND a water.”

Before she goes, she notices the bubbles are off and starts to turn them back on. “No, we’re good,” Rich says.

“Barbara, let’s go!” Eileen slurs. “I need a drink.” She wants another drink, and she wants it now.

“These guests are so rude,” Barbie says.”They’re lucky I can’t say what I would normally say.” It’s pretty ironic that they all ganged up on Tina for being “rude,” when they are just as rude.

And what I’ve been fearing all day finally happens. Eileen, at least ten or twelve sheets to the wind, slips on the wet deck next to the hot tub and bangs the crap out of her head. It must have made a heck of a noise because Barbie says, “What the f*ck?!” and runs upstairs. I’m surprised Eileen didn’t get a concussion.

After Eileen assures Barbie she’s okay, the stewardess sweetly offers to take Eileen back to her cabin, since she obviously doesn’t even know where she is. Barbie doesn’t want to risk her falling down the stairs and breaking her neck, so she carefully guides her back to her room. They should be taking her to see a doctor.

Below Deck continues Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Tom Schwartz on ‘Sad and Pathetic’ Single Life

Photo By: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

Tom Schwartz generally seems to have negative feelings about life post-divorce. Vanderpump Rules fans watched the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner expressing regret and disbelief at where he ended up at the age of 40. It was very apparent in Season 10, and still present in Season 11.

Probably the most symbolic of Schwartz’s single life is his apartment. He had to downsize after the sale of the house he bought with Katie Maloney during happier times. Now, he’s in a bachelor pad, with a lot of plants to keep him company.

So what are Schwartz’s updated feelings on life as a divorcee? He tends to go for self-deprecation and suspended disbelief on the matter. What has the VPR star said this past week on the cast trip to Lake Tahoe?

Schwartz feels like a divorce “statistic”

“I feel incapable,” Schwartz revealed during the Pump Rules After Show. “Not incapable of love, but incapable of being in whatever a traditional relationship is. But at the same time, I don’t want to be single.”

“It somehow feels sad or pathetic. But this happens, I’ve seen it play out many times. I just never thought it would be me. I kinda feel like a statistic. It just doesn’t have a great ring to it. I feel like a red flag,” he shared on the negative connotation of divorce.

Schwartz is in good company, apparently. Tom said, “Most of my friends are forty and single. Happy, and thriving, and successful. I just never thought it would be me I guess, you know?”

A clip of the VPR cast in demolition mode was shared. In it, Schwartz is swinging a sledgehammer while lamenting being single at 40. “In that moment, it felt good. I guess it was a little cathartic,” he shared.

It really does come down to the apartment though. Schwartz than revealed that his rent is “literally the same amount as my mortgage.” And that he’s “not building equity.”

“I think I was just bitter about my current living situation,” he continued. “Just such a Debbie Downer. It’s not that bad of an apartment. It’s fine, just that it’s literally the same amount as my mortgage. And I’m not building equity. It’s not sexy. It screams bachelor. It screams a dude who just got a divorce.”

Though Schwartz admitted to having “the means” to get an interior decorator, he is decided against the idea. “I don’t want to get cozy here,” he concluded.

Trishelle Cannatella Praises ‘Best Traitor’ Phaedra Parks

Trishelle Cannatella in The Traitors Season 2

Trishelle Cannatella is one of the remaining Faithful competing for the grand prize in The Traitors Season 2. With the help of The Bachelor’s own Peter Weber (and Dan Gheesling), she helped lead the charge to take down the slyest Traitor, Phaedra Parks

She recently jumped on X, formerly known as Twitter, to sing the Bravo vet’s praises, calling her the “best Traitor” hands down.

“I’ve watched all The Traitors from all the countries and hands down Phaedra was the best traitor out of everyone,” the Real World star wrote. “[She’s] intelligent, classy, savvy, witty, and loyal. I’m so proud I got to share a screen with her and she played a damn good game.”

Did Dan ruin Phaedra’s game?

Before Phaedra’s banishment, many would argue the Married to Medicine rookie was playing a perfect game. However, she started catching the heat after Dan (her fellow Traitor) threw her under the bus during an earlier episode.

Since then, the remaining celebrities argued they had a list of evidence against Phaedra, even though she would claim none of their points were “concrete.” Fans argued that Dan gave up the funeral director’s game. But what does Trishelle have to say about it?

In response to a user asking her if she would’ve caught on to Phaedra without Dan calling her out, Trishelle put it bluntly: “No.”

“I had said, ‘I have notes from the beginning,’ but that wasn’t true; I didn’t really believe she was a traitor until that moment.”

And there you have it, folks. Could Phaedra have made it to the end? As a matter of fact, could Phaedra have won had Dan not blown up her spot? She very well could have.

We’ll see what she and the rest of the cast have to say at their upcoming reunion airing on Peacock on March 14.

Stream new episodes of The Traitors on Thursdays at 9/8c.

Brandi Glanville Claims People Are ‘Deleting Messages’ After She Threatened Bravo Lawsuit

Brandi Glanville on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen
Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

By now, you’ve all seen and heard about the lawsuits swarming Bravo from former Real Housewives stars. Brandi Glanville, from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, recently slammed Andy Cohen in the media. She alleged the Bravo patriarch sexually harassed her by asking her to join him in having sex with another person. Kate Chastain from Below Deck and The Traitors was later revealed as the second individual.

Although Brandi hasn’t filed a lawsuit against the network like Caroline Manzo and Leah McSweeney, she has threatened it. A letter sent to the network by her lawyers read: “Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career. This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted. It is inconceivable that Mr. Cohen remains in his post in spite of this behavior and harkens back to the bad old days of Matt Lauer and NBC News when profits were prioritized over people.”

Now, Brandi’s latest allegations claim somebody could be trying to destroy evidence.

Brandi says an “FBI guy” is involved in her potential case against Bravo

In a post to X, formerly known as Twitter, Brandi sent out some information that likely should’ve been kept private.

“Luckily, my lawyers and &the FBI guy they hired downloaded everything from my phone for the past 13 years over 6 months ago before everyone started deleting messages,” she wrote, followed by a few emojis.

Whew. This is … messy. To say the least.

Andy and his team have since addressed the rumors coming from Brandi, saying he made an inappropriate joke “in jest.” He also said Brandi was “in on the joke.” Regarding Leah’s lawsuit, which alleged the Watch What Happens Live host gives a favorable edit to the Housewives who do cocaine with him, he called it “completely false.”

We’ll keep an eye out to see what comes next from Brandi’s camp.

Rachel Leviss ‘Pleasantly Surprised’ by Dog’s Reunion With James Kennedy on Pump Rules

Rachel Leviss
Photo By: Leon Bennett/WireImage via Getty Images

The dog that Rachel Leviss got while she and James Kennedy were dating has become an honorary Vanderpump Rules member. Hippie, formerly known as Graham Cracker, became a central point of this season’s narrative, earlier than expected.

Lisa Vanderpump reunited the dog with James. This, while Rachel left town to stay in a mental health facility. While Rachel had put Graham in the care of her family, he had proven to be too aggressive to keep around. And when he was put with a foster family, he bit a few times, before being dropped off at a shelter.

But the heartwarming reunion between James and Hippie was just featured on Pump Rules. Despite being anxious about what she was going to see, Rachel was left surprised. And with a theory about what went down.

Rachel thinks the dog reunion scene with James was potentially “reshot”

The former VPR star claimed that the dog was a biter, and as a result, was surrendered to a vetted foster home. Meanwhile, Rachel worried that LVP was going to claim he was given to a kill shelter.

On the February 27 episode of Rachel Goes Rogue, Rachel doubled-down on having left Hippie in good hands. She was anxious to see the scene between James and Lisa play out, hoping that her name had not been dragged into it and to see how her former boss portrayed Hippie’s rescue on camera.

“When Lisa gave the dog to James, she never said my name. She didn’t say that story that was put out in the press. Of me surrendering my dog to a kill shelter. And it was hours away of being euthanized,” Rachel reacted. “And I thought that was very interesting because I was like, ‘Oh. This isn’t what I thought it was going to be.’ And I’m pleasantly surprised. And I’m a little bit relieved. Because I don’t have to worry about more death threats and death wishes.”

However, it’s not all good feelings from Rachel’s side. The former beauty pageant contestant suspects that the scene was filmed again to present a more neutral storyline.

She believed that the “scene was reshot so that [Vanderpump] could backtrack.”

But as the former SUR server can’t be sure, Rachel presented an alternative. No less lacking in her feeling that Lisa has an agenda against her.

“Or if that was the original [scene] — she just let those rumors run rampant. Because it was, like, propaganda to make me look like this ultimate villain,” Rachel added.
