It has been a rough few months for Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor and his family. His father Ronald Cauchi passed away yesterday after getting diagnosed with Stage IV cancer a mere two months before.
As expected, the loss is really hit Jax hard. He shared some of his thoughts in a touching post on Instagram.
Jax posted a photo of his father with a long and loving caption. He wrote, “Where do I begin… I lost the best man I knew yesterday, he was my best friend. I didn’t go a day with out texting him a pointless question that usually drove him nuts, but I know he loved it. My dad loved his family more than anything in the world he was the ‘perfect father’ and wanted everyone to get along and be happy.”
He continued, “Cancer took my dad way too soon but I have to hope and pray that god has a bigger plan for him. The two things other than his family he loved more than anything were Detroit redwings hockey and cars.. He was a simple man that didn’t speak much but when he did you listened. I’ll never forget the 5am hockey practices to windsor Canada on the weekends, the numerous hockey tournaments, and the little talks we had if I had a bad game. He was always there for every practice and every game. When I came to Florida to visit it was like seeing my best friend all the time, our countless fishing trips and pub crawls going to hockey games in tampa. ;drove him crazy cuz tampa would always beat Detroit’ yes my parents lived in tampa but Detroit Michigan is my fathers home.” Anyone who follows Jax on social media knows that he has a strong love for hockey. It probably means a lot more to him knowing that his dad shares the same passion for the sport.
Jax shared, “My father never said one word that was negative, he helped so many people young and old…. I could go on and on. I love you dad, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me, I am so proud to be your son. Don’t worry I’ll walk jenny down the isle this summer but we are gonna need your help from above bud.” Jax shared the news of his sister Jenny’s engagement on social media just a week ago.
He wrote, “Last thing.. thank you dad, thank you for giving me everything I needed in life with out a question. I hope one day I can be half the father you are.”
Jax concluded, “Love you so much dad… also thank you to my amazing “rock” my girlfriend Brittany [Cartwright], I couldn’t and can’t do any of this with out you. My father loved you so much as well, thank you for being who you are and for helping me deal with all this, you are my angel and you always will be. Thank you so so much to everyone who has reached out. I haven’t been in a place to respond to everyone but it means so much. #fuckcancer.”

As boring as it is to see the women on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills getting along, I am very intrigued by the possible friendship forming between Dorit Kemsley and Erika Girardi. Those two would make a very interesting alliance friendship. Other than those two moving on from last year’s panty-gate scandal, I’m not bored by everyone else hanging out and getting along.
Let’s hope that things rev up ASAP. After two episodes of shading each other, Dorit even made up with Lisa Rinna. Those two going at it was the one thing I thought I could count on this season. Apparently not.
Dorit reflected on the second episode in her Bravo blog post. She wrote, “Of course, I knew Lisa R would be joining us, and although I mentally prepared for her arrival, seeing her face to face for the first time after our explosion in Hong Kong was a bit unsettling.” They saw each other at Lisa Vanderpump’s Diamonds and Rosé themed party during the finale and the reunion. They had face to face confrontations at both events.
Dorit said, “Playing roulette with Erika and Teddi was oodles of fun. It’s 5 o’clock anytime you say it is, in Sin City, so it only felt right to sip as we stacked chips. I feel as though my relationship with Erika has changed for the better, and this trip has a lot to do with that.” I’m actually for this. An Erika and Dorit friendship would make for interesting TV and I would just love to see Lisa Vanderpump’s reaction if this ever happened.
Then Dorit addressed the major moment of the episode: her confrontation with Lisa Rinna. Dorit wrote, “Before taking the High Roller for a spin, I knew I had to clear things up with Lisa R, because I’m not one to be fake—I’ll always tell you how I feel.” And she will tell you the truth in any accent she wants.
Dorit continued, “When I pulled her aside, I had no intention of rehashing old arguments. I simply wanted to be transparent about why I felt hurt, and I was caught off guard when she responded so well and proposed that we start our friendship anew! Maybe she did experience a rebirth, because that’s the nicest Lisa R I’ve ever experienced, and I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.” A Lisa Rinna rebirth? I’ll believe it when I see it. Love her or hate her, Rinna’s messiness has blessed us with some great story lines.
Dorit recalled, “We were all feeling playful over drinks on our last night when Erika revealed a shocking piece of information about her father. She’s very brave to open up about such a sensitive subject, and I really felt for her.” I guess Dorit wasn’t one of the people who thought Erika’s response to an innocent question from Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave was incredibly cold. Maybe Dorit only has an issue with Erika being cold when it’s toward her.
Dorit concluded, “I’m so grateful to Kyle [Richards] for arranging the trip, and I’m happy Teddi took a chance on our crazy group!” Of course Teddi “took the chance.” She signed on to be a cast member. She had no choice.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers have seen Tom Girardi give Erika Girardi some extravagant gifts and parties. So what does Erika do when it’s her turn to give a present?
Erika recently revealed that she gave her husband a toilet. Yes, a toilet. That’s definitely a unique gift. Then again, I have no idea what you would give someone who can buy pretty much anything that he wants.
In an interview with People, Erika shared that she gave her man the toilet for a Christmas gift. She admitted, “Yeah, I bought him a toilet.” She even shared the price tag: “Seriously, that is the truth. It was a $5,000 toilet, who does this?” It really is Xxpen$ive to be her.
A $5,000 toilet? Is it gold plated? Is it a specific model for one of their two private jets? Erika got Tom a Toto toilet, which is described on the company website as “An elegant skirted one-piece unit, this Neorest offers ecology-minded luxury, with our technologically advanced WASHLET, Tornado siphon jet flushing system, remote control, heated seat and CeFiONtect, an extraordinarily smooth, ion-barrier surface to help keep the bowl cleaner longer.” That’s intense.
Also, for the record, the toilet is actually a little more than $5,000. It costs $5,750 and I assume there are some hefty installation fees since Erika revealed, “It’s getting installed this week; it has to have like its own power source and everything; it’s major. It’s ridiculous. He’s going to kill me. That’s okay.” After Tom has likely helped to fund Erika’s glam squad, music career, in-house chapel, the two private jets, and everything else, he’s not going to care about the toilet- especially since it’s a gift for him.

Oh, the winter TV doldrums. School is out, work is slow, and you've had about enough family time for one year, thank you very much. So you turn to your old friend, the television. But...Luann de Lesseps started 2017 on top of the world. She married Tom D’Agostino on New Year’s Eve in Palm Beach, Florida and she couldn’t stop talking about how happy she was… all the time. Now things have come full circle for Luann. After less than a year of marriage, she and Tom broke up. She ended 2017 where she started it, but this time she probably wishes that what happened in Palm Beach stayed in Palm beach. Unfortunately for her, pretty much everything she does- the good and the bad- is very public.
Luann was arrested for disorderly intoxication, battery, resisting arrest, and she even (allegedly) threatened “I’ll going to kill you all” during the incident in question. Now the Real Housewives of New York star is checking herself into a rehab facility.
Luann confirmed the news to People. She admitted, “After the events of last Saturday night in Palm Beach, I am truly embarrassed.”
She added, “I have decided to seek professional guidance and will be voluntarily checking into an alcohol treatment center. I intend to turn this unfortunate incident into a positive life changing event. Once again, I sincerely apologize for my actions. I have the greatest respect for police officers and the job they do. My actions alleged in the police report do not reflect my core values and my law abiding character. I am so grateful for the love and support that I am receiving from my family, friends and loyal supporters.”
Things have definitely taken a dark turn for the former countess. Hopefully this is what she needs to get back on track and be the Luann that the fans know and love.

Tom D’Agostino pretty much ruined Luann de Lesseps‘ life (and dignity), so after all that, he feels “really sad” that she was arrested last week. Well, kinda.
When Tom learned that his ex was arrested in Palm Beach after a tryst gone very awry, he reportedly told friends that he was feeling “shocked” and “really sad for Luann and her family that they had to go through this over the holidays.”
In a statement, the Real Housewives Of New York star kinda blamed Tom and her return to Palm Beach, where they met and fell in love, as the trigger for her drunken debauchery that led to allegedly assaulting a police officer and being charged with battery among other things. Luann had reportedly – masochistically – not just returned to Palm Beach, but also the Colony Hotel, where she celebrated her New Year’s wedding brunch less than a year before.
According to People, Tom has NO idea why Luann would even be back in Palm Beach and complains that she has “no ties” to the city now that they’ve split. Is he inferring that Lu returned to town to spy on him?
In other news, it’s been reported that Tom will be celebrating NYE, which also would’ve been his one-year-anniversary, with an “unwedding party.” A source categorically denies this to E! News and insists that Tom is actually having a birthday celebration with 75 of his closest lady friends, which has nothing to do with Luann – or any Bravo stars for that matter. So Tom’s very very close friend Sonja Morgan won’t be attending, eh?
An insider reveals that Tom learned of Luann’s arrest on the news and feels “terrible” about it. This second insider reiterates that Tom has no idea why Luann was in Palm Beach, but suggests, “She was due to be at a wedding in Chile for New Years. So it looks like she was getting to Chile by way of Florida.” Guess those wedding plans are also OFF, and perhaps Lu wasn’t stalking Tom after all.

Stars, they're just like us. They play favorites, but then can't remember names of episodes. Rosemarie DeWitt, who appears in Black Mirror season four's "Arkangel," and that...When Kenya Moore secretly got married and didn’t invite anyone in the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast, her girl Cynthia Bailey was happy for her, but she couldn’t help feeling slighted by the snub. Even so, she has remained Kenya’s number one supporter on the show.
It seems like Cynthia has forgiven Kenya for excluding her from the wedding, but she is making it clear that she wants to be very involved for any other milestone occasions in her costar’s life and this includes pregnancy.
In an interview for Bravo’s The Daily Dish podcast, Cynthia shared, “I didn’t get invited to the wedding, but I pretty much threatened her pretty much that ‘As soon as you get pregnant, I want to be a part of this whole process.’ I want to know. I do not want to read it on the blogs.” Fair enough. That was probably pretty hurtful when the wedding news first started to circulate.
Cynthia took it a step further though. She said: “I want to be there when you pee on the EPT stick. I want to be there. I want to be a part of this and I want to be Auntie Cynthia. If you want to, name one of them Bailey if you want to. It’s completely unisex.” Bailey Daly has an interesting ring to it.
Moving on to her own news, Cynthia insists that she is still “single” even though she’s been dating Will Jones this season. Cynthia said, “I was single when Will was in the picture. I am dating. Will is someone that I have been dating. I have been dating him for probably three or four months now. We met at my Fifty Shades of Cynthia party. I just officially became divorced like six months ago and I don’t want to rush into anything. Will is a great guy. Will is awesome and I have no problem being with Will seriously at some point, but right now I’m giving myself time. I’m just not ready. I’m trying to give myself at least a year to just be single.”
Later, Cynthia said what most people thought about this season: “Just from being on the show, it rolled out kind of slow.” It sure did. She continued, “It didn’t really heat up until we got to Casa Leakes. I think it’s gonna be pretty entertaining for the rest of the season.” I hope so!

The new Bachelor is ready to kiss and tell. We're less than a week away from The Bachelor's new season, with Arie Luyendyk Jr., the runner-up from Emily Maynard's season,...Even though it obviously is a privilege to be a cast member on every show in the Real Housewives franchise, it can also come with a lot of drama – especially for the new girls. They aren’t going to skate through to hold the diamonds in the opening credits of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills without earning it, so they all get (at least) a little bit hazed by their costars.
With that said, it has to feel so good to get past a season as the “new girl.” It seems like Dorit Kemsley agrees with that sentiment. She spent last season going head to head with Erika Girardi (and her alter ego Erika Jayne) over a lack of panties. Even her husband PK Kemsley got involved in the arguments and earned a spot on the couch during the reunion episodes.
Dorit discussed the show during an appearance on The Vinnie Penn Project. She admitted, “I found myself having to defend myself and I’ve never been too bad at that. I was a rookie. I started the season in the truest form of rookie. Everything was new to me. I got myself into hot water with some of the ladies and then there was a bit of an attack on me. The Israeli defense system worked its way out.” I don’t know about that last part, but she definitely earned her spot.
Even though Dorit’s husband PK has talked shit about her costars and stepped in to defend her numerous times, he actually did want her to a be a part of the show. Dorit revealed, “He’s really supportive. In fact, it was him really who got me to do it. Some people had approached him and asked him if I would be interested and my initial reaction was ‘Absolutely not.’ Then we sat down and talked. He really is the one who convinced me to do it. He’s supportive through and through. We’re the type of couple that’s very protective of one another. He’s gonna have my back and that’s never going to change.”
Dorit also pulled the tried and true “blame the editing” card. She said, “A lot happens in the editing room. My husband is the perfect gentleman. Everybody who knows him knows how sweet, kind, and generous he is. He was defending his wife. The ladies were happy to bring him in, but he was also by my side. A lot of the women don’t show up with their husbands. PK and I roll together.” That’s some subtle shade toward the other marriages at the end there.
She continued, “This season you’re definitely going to get a better glimpse into who I am. I think last season, I was a newbie and I was navigating through the muddy waters trying to find a way to get into this group of strong women. Some of them were existing friends – like Lisa Vanderpump and she was always a great friend to me. Then some of the other women put me through a newbie hazing if you will. So yeah, I get it as well. Listen, we have new person on this season and she goes through it a little bit.”
Will Dorit take Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave under her wing or will she pay it forward with the new girl hazing?
Dorit also said, “I think this year you’re going to get a better sense of who I am and better glimpse into our life and me as a mom and me as a businesswoman. The audience will get to see that.”

It has definitely been a rough year for Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor. To make matters worse, on Thursday, Jax confirmed that his father Ronald Cauchie died after his battle with cancer. Jax has been vocal about his father’s struggles via Twitter for the past few weeks.
Jax shared the heartbreaking news in a tweet on Thursday night. He wrote, “My heart is broken, I lost my best friend and the best man I have ever met last night, I love you so much dad I can’t even breathe anymore, only person not letting me fall right now is my amazing girlfriend. I love you dad.”
Ariana Madix responded to Jax with a red heart emoji, adding, “We are here for you.”
Peter Madrigal tweeted Jax, saying, “I’m so sorry brother.”
Jax’s girlfriend Brittany Cartwright wrote a tweet of her own: “Jax & his family are going through a really really hard time right now. Please keep them all in your prayers & respect their privacy.” Their Vanderpump Rules costar Scheana Marie retweeted Brittany’s words.
Brittany’s mom Sherri Cartwright retweeted Jax’s post and she responded with, “Prayers, love you guys.” Scheana’s mom Erika van Olphen tweeted, “Love you lots!! Hug your mom for me!!”
In a December 11 interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Jax confirmed that his father was diagnosed with stage IV cancer two months ago.
He said, “It’s in his throat, his esophagus, so it’s rough. It’s rough, because my dad, he’s like my idol. My dad was always the person who never got sick, I always looked up to him. I call him all the time. To see him so vulnerable, I’ve never seen him emotional my whole entire life. My dad’s never been to the doctor in his entire life until now.”
Jax continued, “This is such a horrible disease. He doesn’t deserve this. He’s, like, the perfect man. He’s the perfect human being, never done a thing wrong in his life. So it just sucks. It just really sucks. I don’t really have anything to say about it. It’s a sh**** disease. It’s hurt our family. It’s hurt everybody. It just really sucks. During the holidays, it doesn’t make it any easier.”
This devastating news for Jax and his family. Obviously Jax has been a pretty polarizing figure throughout the years, but hopefully people will give him respect and kindness during this tough time.
